Question: Why do people pay $4000 to $8000 ON AVERAGE, for an engagement ring, in the U.S.? Posted: 18 Apr 2017 10:28 PM PDT I mean I understand the meaning behind it but wouldn't some of that money be better spent on the actual wedding and or honeymoon? It's not like everyone has $4000-$8000 in cash just laying around somewhere. Talk about going into debt. $4000-$8000 dollars in insane! They say a car is the second biggest purchase you'll ever make?! I think it's an engagement ring for some people. Your thoughts? |
Question: Do I have to attend the bachelorette party? Posted: 18 Apr 2017 06:37 PM PDT One of my close friends is getting married and I'm a bridesmaid. The MOH and other bridesmaids have decided to have the bachelorette party in NYC. I suggested a few other places that are more affordable, but they weren't willing to discuss other options. The MOH has since booked hotel rooms for the night. I live in Maryland and the wedding and bridal shower are in NJ, so I'll be traveling for both. NYC is a 2.5 hr train ride (plus the 40 min ride to the station). The other girls live in NJ. I also have 3 kids and other expenses, so i'd prefer something more low key. Do I have to attend? I'm worried the bride will be upset, but this is a bit more than anticipated. |
Question: Does the bride really have no say in the bachelorette party? Posted: 18 Apr 2017 01:42 PM PDT I understand the MOH plans it and all but I read the bride can't choose where and has no say in it ? The reason I'm kinda worried is because I don't want strippers , strip club or going to crazy clubs. I rather it be more low key. Dinner and drinks. I don't think my MOH will Care but what can I say |
Question: My boyfriend says I love you to an old female friend? Posted: 18 Apr 2017 10:13 AM PDT We are getting married this Sunday. I am very excited but right now I am stressed over something that is probably nothing. We invited two of his old high school friends, who he hasn t talked to in two years cause of some fight. These friends, H (female) and J (male), are engaged. Now when me and my fiancé first started going out H had messaged him and I saw that they had talked and at the end he said he loved her. I realized, as he let me look, in previous messages that they said it a lot to each other and called each other dear all the time. He has NEVER called another female friend dear. I asked about it and he said it was just something they did. I tried to get him to enlighten me on it but he avoided it. I don t say i love you to my male friends and I know if I did he would have an issue with it. Recently, last Thursday, they met up because her condition to coming to the wedding was if they reconnected. He never told me about it and when I found out it felt like he had been trying to hide it from me and I found out by accident. Well I found out cause I saw her name in the messages with "love you too." He only talked about the meeting when I asked about it. I don t know how to bring up to him that this has really upset me, especially knowing that he met up with her without telling me, he told me about meeting J, so it kind of hurt. I just want some advice on how to ask him about this whole I love you thing when he has ignored her for two years. |
