Question: Is it weird for a girl to compliment another girl on her piercing? Posted: 04 Jan 2017 05:49 PM PST Earlier today in school when I was sitting across from one of my classmates, she was raising her arms to stretch and I noticed she has her belly button pierced. I pointed it out and told her she had a nice belly ring but she looked uncomfortable by me complimenting it and just gave a quick "Thanks." I didn't say anything else but I was thinking "Wtf?" I was just giving her a compliment! It was pretty. It was one of those long, shiny ones so it was hard not to notice. I don't normally think much of belly rings but hers was cute. I don't get it. Was she being weird or was I being inadvertently weird? And don't let my username fool you, I'm actually a girl. I just love Daft Punk! |
Posted: 04 Jan 2017 05:43 PM PST I been with my bf for 1 year I'm pregnant delivery our child next month. the past few months I found evidence of him cheating. he been on dating sites and the messages girls like hello beautiful or how's your day . I checked his facebook messenger and initiates messages with other girls and asks for sex. I don't know if he actually had sex with other girls. he telling the girls he has a gf but wants to keep the other girls as his side pieces because he loves me and don't wanna mess things up with me. I confronted him bout it he says he sees me as his wife and loves me more than anything. he wants me to have more kids so we can get married and have a family. he told me he has friends that are girls and nothing is sexual. he tells me he talks to other girls but he has never cheated on me. he defines cheating as kissing or exchanging sexual favors. I don't believe what he tells me. he got mad when I said that and says he would never lie to me like I'm stupid for not believing him. Am I wrong for breaking up? |
Question: Weed is causing a long term effect on me.? Posted: 04 Jan 2017 05:06 PM PST On New Year's Eve I got high with my friends and had a bottle of Smirnoff. Every since that day I've been feeling like everything isn't real. Like I'm disconnected from my body, even talking to my mom didn't feel right. Something worried today happened at school. Usually I'm really shy and social awkward. But today I didn't care at all. I didn't care what people thought of me. I wasn't that shy girl anymore. My friend asked me could I go get our friend from out of her class room. Usually I would be terrified to do that but today I walked into her fully packed classroom and yelled for her. Something that the real me would have never done. So my question is how long does this feeling last? And does weed make you less shy of a person? |
Posted: 04 Jan 2017 05:03 PM PST I'm currently in a class where I don't know anyone, and it seems like most other people know someone else, so I feel kind of alone. I like being around people, I like making friends, but when I'm in a situation like this I sometimes am a little scared to start a conversation with someone randomly during class because I'm scared of what they might think...for example, they aren't interested in talking to me, etc. I know it's kind of stupid but I tend to overthink and I care about what other people think about me. Part of this class is us traveling together, which is why I want to get to know some people. I noticed a couple other people in the class who don't seem to really know anyone else (they don't talk to anyone in the class really, they come and leave by themselves...) and I want to talk to them because it seems like they're in the same boat, but again I'm nervous to approach them/start a conversation because I don't want them to think it's weird...I just want to get to know some people in my class so I can stop feeling nervous and just enjoy! I just wanted to add another thing. I guess I'm also afraid people will judge me (especially when we're traveling) if I'm that person who's standing alone because they don't have another person to talk to when everyone else seems to be having a conversation. |

Question: How to deal with clingy friends? Posted: 04 Jan 2017 04:57 PM PST I have one friend that I met in my elective class sophomore year that I have hung out with a ton outside of school. I never clicked with her, but I'd been good friends with her twin before and we all began to hang out together once I was good friends with her too. She would invite me to do stuff with her all the time and I'm not really the type of person to say no to someone. Quickly I became her best friend without connecting much with her. Problem is, she has no group of friends she sits with at lunch. So she sits with me every day. I already have a group of friends. My friend group is big and usually I'll be able to talk with whoever I want within it when I feel like it. When she's there she doesn't talk to anybody but me, so I'm stuck in a dull conversation with her for the entirety of lunch unless I talk to somebody else, in which case I feel rude cause she'll just sit there alone and then try to start a conversation with me again as soon as there's a pause in me talking to anybody else. This kind of ruins my enjoyment of lunch because I either feel annoyed at her or like I am being rude to her. It's not like I can force her to make other friends and it's not like I can just stop being her friend because she hasn't done anything bad to me. What should I do? |
Question: Is showing your art to someone attention seeking? Posted: 04 Jan 2017 04:47 PM PST I told my one friend I was making a painting, and the canvas was in the car when I took them home. They thought it was really cool but they didn't ask about my project afterwards. I'd like to show my work with them because I did work hard and am happy with it and I shared my idea with them. I want to show them not because I am looking for compliments (that is absolutely NOT my intention) but because I think it would be a nice thing considering they were excited about my idea. What would you do in this case? Thank you! |
Posted: 04 Jan 2017 04:35 PM PST She said, "I have a life besides talking to you for 12 hours straight" and that's she tired of it and threatened me not to say I can't celebrate her mother's birthday. When I said I felt bad, she was all like good! it was supposed to make you feel bad. I had a deep emotional attachment with her, and over these past 4 months, her words keep bothering me. I wish I could just get over this hurt. She was the only one I could really talk to. |
Question: Why do I get shy when my peers compliment my intelligence? Posted: 04 Jan 2017 04:34 PM PST I'm not a very optimistic person and tend to focus on my failures more than my success. On the other hand, all of my peers at school highly regard me as, "the smartest girl in school." While I do appreciate their compliments, I feel as if there's more pressure on me to succeed and live up to their expectations. They always extol me for being quiet in class, not focusing on anything but my academics, and for simply being kind and generous. Another very intelligent, gifted classmate once said while talking to someone else, "[my name]! She's like the smartest person in the world! It's good that she's in this class with us!" Gosh, I love my classmates just as much, but still, it's a little overwhelming. I think I'm only average and feel bothered when people overpraise me. I'm just striving as much as possible to achieve. It's just pure determination and hard work. I don't want people to think that I'm smarter than them or anything since that's far from the truth. |
Question: Help I don't know who I am anymore? Posted: 04 Jan 2017 04:34 PM PST I'm 13 and a girl I have multiple groups of friends so I don't know where I belong I don't know what I want to be when I grow up I'm in love/ not in love with my teacher I want/ don't want drama to happen around me I want people to notice me more I'm confused of why I'm alive |
Question: How do you ask someone to drink something for a presentation casually? Posted: 04 Jan 2017 04:30 PM PST I have to give a presentation to a few seniors at my school. We were required to have a physical model that the seniors can interact with. My physical model is two different types of pop. How do I casually offer this to the seniors? |
Question: What to do when someone won't pay you back? Posted: 04 Jan 2017 04:24 PM PST I leant someone $60 in December and she said she would pay me back the 1st of January. It's now the 4th and she still hasn't paid me back, and she's ignoring my messages/calls. I messaged her several times on facebook which she read and ignored, then I called her on her phone and facebook. She blocked me on facebook so I've texted her several times. She responded once and said she'd reply in half an hour, but it's been 24 hours and she hasn't replied. I know $60 isn't a ton of money, but I'm a poor college student and I could really use that $60. I know for a fact she's seeing the messages and deliberately ignoring the calls (it only rings once or twice before it cuts and goes to voicemail). What should I do? I don't want her to just get away with it, but I can't really do too much about it. |

Question: WHY IS THIS GIRL IN MY CLASS SO STUPID?! WHAT IS WRONG WITH HER? Posted: 04 Jan 2017 04:20 PM PST Oh, my god! You would NOT believe what this girl in my 9th Grade Advanced English class, I repeat, Advanced class, asked the teacher today. She wondered about the distinction between Asians and Chinese to which my peers answered that Chinese ARE Asians. She replied, "Well if Vietnamese and Filipinos are Asians, that means they're also Chinese, right?" She also argued that the Philippines and Japan are islands located IN China, which would make them Chinese, and that Asia is also IN China. Everyone enlightened her on how China is a country located in Asia, a continent, and she still didn't understand. Then, she insisted that since Europe and Asia are connected(Eurasia) that means Europeans are also considered Asian. Thus, by her logic, Germans, French, and Italians(Europeans) are ALSO Chinese. Yes, this was an actual conversation in my Advanced class today! Guess what I just learned? Germans are Chinese! Yes, seriously. No kidding. My teacher was undoubtedly despondent at what she heard, so she just closed her eyes and looked down. She has chosen to spend her adulthood bringing the gift of knowledge to younger generations, confident that they can achieve their individual ambitions while also becoming productive, creative minds of this society with their newly-gained power. After years of teaching, this is what she gets...Germans are Chinese! Yay, she must have felt so flattered and accomplished when she heard that! The simple-minded, rambunctious buffoon who asked the question is notorious for commenting insipid nonsense in class. Still, her ignorance never ceases to amaze the rest of the student body. This certainly wasn't the first time and definitely will not be the last, sadly. She's said that bears were invented by men, transparent is a color, Washington was Lincoln's best friend, doesn't know Shakespeare's last name, and believes 9/11 occurred in 2011. She WASN'T joking. At the end of class, someone asked her and she said, "Yeah, European people ARE Chinese cuz China has like more than 1 billion of the population out of 7 billion people. There's like 7 continents each with 1 billion people, and China is one of the continents that contains Europe, duh." She didn't do this for attention. She IS THIS DUMB! Yes, she is. DOES NOT THINK TWICE BEFORE SHE OPENS HER MOUTH AND SPEWS UTTER NONSENSE. NEVER DOES, |
Question: Girls, what's one thing you would make a guy do if you could? Posted: 04 Jan 2017 04:18 PM PST I'm a 15 year old guy and I lost a bet. Since I lost I have to ask girls what they would make me do and I have to do the best answer, chosen by the girl. I also had to ask if the winner wanted a picture so yea, what would you want me to do? |
Question: Is it polite to tell someone we are just acquaintances? Posted: 04 Jan 2017 04:05 PM PST Also it is the truth and they know it because we don't hang out, just talk a little and help each other a little bit. No leading anyone on whatsoever. I have no interest in being friends with them and I don't think I have an obligation either. It isn't fair because other people have told me before we are just acquaintances and they didn't feel obligated to be my friend. These people shouldn't feel obligated and neither am I obligated to them. |
Question: What should I do about my crazy/creepy friend? Posted: 04 Jan 2017 04:05 PM PST I'm an 18 year old male and my friend is 17. I met him in a class in high school. I didn't think much of him. We live in a town by a lake. One night this summer, I seen him sitting on the hood of a car by himself at the lake. Being that I knew him and I'm friendly, I stopped to say hi and chat for a bit. I thought he was pretty cool and we started hanging out. He was a pretty cool guy at first. He started getting weird after a while. Something wasn't right about him. I just ignored it because I thought that he was a new person to me (I'm always alert). He started getting stranger and stranger. He was always hanging out with me and only me. Never any other friends or even his girlfriend. He started contacting me at weird times (9PM-3AM). If I ignored him, he'd show up to my house and wouldn't leave until I came outside and went with him. A couple weeks ago, he came to get me for a coffee. On the way, he seen his girlfriend grabbing some food. He decided to pull in. I figured he was going to say hi. I was very wrong about my guess. He started screaming at his girlfriend. If we were in my car, he would have been walking home. He started to pull away and was driving maniacally. I was scared for my life. He called his mom some horrible things on the phone. I got home and messaged his girlfriend and apologized for having to be pulled into the middle. She said he's crazy and I should stay away from him. I don't like the way he treats women and other people. What should I do? I can't get him to go away. He used to work at a fast food restaurant up until recently. He was fired when he messed up an order and the customer was unhappy. He threw food at the customer and the police were called. He told me a story that was 200% different. I don't know what happened after the police came. I had my cousin answer as I drove. My cousin didn't disclose the location of where we were headed. Not 5 minutes after we got there, he showed up. I swear he's following me or something. I'm starting to get really scared for my life. I never told him where I live. My car is one of the only ones of its kind in town. He must've found out where I live because of the car. I never told him. He can't even take a hint if I ignore. |

What should i do? I have very sensitive feelings and one of them i though was my friend. Other a old crush and someone who doesn't even know me. If only they knew how i have to live... Assholes.. So what should i do? I can't tell on them or ill be a considerd a "snitch". Please help i've done nothing to those slu- girls anyway. Im tired of being one of the only nice kids in my school (been told by alot of teachers and kids) yet i get treated like trash. What should i do? |
Question: How to not be nervous about a class where I don't know anyone? Posted: 04 Jan 2017 03:00 PM PST I'm currently taking a class over this next month, and part of this class is us traveling abroad. I don't really know anyone in the class, and it makes me kind of nervous because it seems like everyone else knows at least one other person. How can I stop being anxious about this, and just be excited about traveling? It's not that I don't make friends, I make friends pretty easily and I consider myself a pretty friendly person. I just tend to get self-conscious in a setting where I don't know anyone when everyone else seems to know someone. |
Question: Why bullies stop messing with my friend? Posted: 04 Jan 2017 02:58 PM PST During this school year in college my friend was getting bullied by 5 guys they made fun of him throwing paper balls at him. My friend didn't wanted to fight them because he didn't wanted to get kicked out of school, but yesterday in class someone threw a pair of scissors at him almost hit his eye and one of the bullies kick his hand and he snap and fought the bully he almost killed him because at the end of the fight he was choking the life out of him and bully face turn pale white. So he didn't get in trouble but today none of the bullies mess with him at all day they didn't make no jokes about him throwing paper balls at him they left him alone. So why do you think the bullies left him alone? |

Question: Settle an argument I'm having with my boyfriend. Who's right? Posted: 04 Jan 2017 02:38 PM PST So we went out to eat with four other couples we're friends with, so there were 10 of us. They had this special where for $25, you get a pizza, pop, and a coupon for a pair of free movie tickets at the 28-theater cineplex down the road. Anyway, during dinner, people were joking about dining and ditching. Unbeknownst to us, the other four couples got up and left without paying. When we got out to the parking lot, we found out. My boyfriend immediately turned around, went inside, and picked up the check he'd written off the table. When he got back outside, we immediately left -- everyone else already had. I was so mad. He said he was mad, too, but that he had no choice. He said if he'd left the check that he'd have been stuck having to rat out all of our friends. Either that or he'd have to take the rap for all the other stolen meals because the cops would have gone to the address on the check and laid all the blame on him if he didn't tell him who all our friends were who did that. He said he was put into an impossible situation and he had to decide right then and there what to do and that's the best he could think of to do so that's what he did and I should just shut up about it because it wasn't my "@ss" that was on the line. |
Question: What Activities Can I Do To Keep Myself Busy? Posted: 04 Jan 2017 02:21 PM PST I have absolutely no motivation to do anything. I seem to always find myself in a bad mood and just get so easily annoyed with everything and everyone. I have no talents. No hobbies. No interests. I always feel so terrible that I have nothing going for me. I dropped out of school in 11th grade. (I should be in my second semester of senior year) I didn't want to. My parents put me in a new school, ended up hating it, pulled me out, and that was it. Anyway, I don't even have school to keep me busy. And since I'm not in school I've lost my friends. I have no one to hang out with. And I can't drive because there's no one who wants to teach me. What can I do since I have no friends, can't drive, and no interests or anything? I took it upon myself to start small to get out of the house by walking my dog every day but I end up getting so mad on the walk. It's like everyone I see annoys me and I can't be happy. How can I snap out of this? ALSO : I can't join a sport or some sort of class or anything because my parents say I lose interest in things too quickly so they refuse to put me in anything so please don't suggest joining something. |
Question: Should I break it off with my "best" friend? Posted: 04 Jan 2017 02:18 PM PST I'll try to keep it as short as possible. Let's call him Jeff. I met Jeff in my freshman year of high school through an art program. We began working on short films together and hanging out. It was fun back in the day. However, after a very unstable relationship with a girl named Kate, Jeff has since changed. After I talked him into breaking up with her, he continued having sex with her without telling me. He cares what other people think obsessively, and puts on a face even around me that I can easily see through. He no longer wants to make short films. In fact on several occasions he has suggested I delete my Youtube channel so we can focus on corporate video work, paranoid that clients will be scared away by these short films. He's also become very annoying when it comes to making plans. On several occasions where I didn't pick up the phone, he came to my house unannounced early in the morning and woke me up to hang out, refusing to leave. I had tried to avoid hanging out with him for a while after things got so messy, but now it's even worse: he just tries to guilt trip me into hanging out with him. He hates several of my new friends I've made, yet finds my discomfort with one of his friends illogical. Come to think of it, I think he's very emotionally unstable. All he does these days is brag about himself: money, cars, girls, and how "awesome" he thinks he is. It's come to a point where I want to go somewhere else in life. How should I go about ending it? |
Posted: 04 Jan 2017 02:15 PM PST So I have a friend and she's a pretty good friend of mine, we've known each other forever. Recently she's been getting on my nerves and being just rude to me- she's been cheating off my tests twice and she ignores me when she has a better friend around or something. She has no respect for my opinions, like when I around so er to stop doing something she doesn't. Today at lunch I set my chip bag on the picnic table and arranged it so I was in the spaces so it wouldn't fly away in the wind she snatched it from me and was like "don't litter" And I said stop and I put it back in and she just pushed it through so it went on the ground. I was not going to pick it up because she was the one who didn't and she wouldn't and okay maybe we were both b**ches but still it drives me crazy. She always brags about how she's going to go see her church friends later and how she always spends the night with them and I get jealous easily so I'm completely upset when she does this. How can I deal with her? She thinks she's like a princess or something |

Question: Wanna go streaking with a girl (my friend). How to go about asking? Posted: 04 Jan 2017 02:01 PM PST So yeah I'm a dude and I think it'd be one hell of an experience to go streaking with a girl (my friend) in the middle of the night. It sounds sexy but at the same time innocent, playful, exhilarating and pretty funny. It's kinda awkward to just ask my friend to do it out of the blue...so I need to gradually lead the conversation to that point. I'm nervous about asking. It's meant to be fun not creepy. I've streaked in the past so I'm thinking maybe I can bring that up somehow...tell her how great it was and then convince her to join me. Or I could initially dare her to join me in an underwear streak and then take it to the next level from there. Anyone have any ideas on how to go about doing this (sounds crazy I know haha)? |

Question: Should I abandon my best friend? Posted: 04 Jan 2017 01:42 PM PST Okay, I know I sound like a backstabbing person, but seriously, my best friend has drove me to the limits. She is the most ungrateful person I have ever know and is very dramatic. She pays more attention to her online friends than she does to me,and she calls me a best friend of hers. There's this guy who is deeply in love with her and she's trying to make him gay so he can get bullied for his sexuality and he won't like her anymore. She claims that she is being selfless. One time one of her friends decided to leave her, and she was in tears and I comforted her. She wails about how much she wants to kill herself and it was just a show to retrieve praise and attention. I took her to see a movie, but all she did during it was complain how bad the movie was and was like, "Don't invite me to see crappy movies." She did things like hit me when she felt sad, made fun of me, etc. The last straw came when it was Christmas. I gave her food as a present, she tore it open then threw it away in front of me and snacked on my lunch. I asked her why, and she said, "Because your present was cheap and wasn't gonna last. I'm not even gonna get you anything because you didn't get me anything good." This has happened countless times and I can't even remember the nice things she has done for me. The only reason why I'm still with her is because she plays victim and I will always be the bad guy. |
Question: Why does someone say things like this and have no remorse? Posted: 04 Jan 2017 01:38 PM PST I have an acquaintance who I thought was a friend. We fooled around a bit. Later just became friends asks me for nudes but I say no. Anyway I was talking with him and asked him if he genuinely wanted to be friends or just wanted to sleep with me? He said all of the above so I said ok I can respect that. Talked a bit more and then all of a sudden he says "TBH I don t know what you could add to my life as a friend." Said he was sorry because it was probably rude and then said he had troubles. Went into say I deserved someone who treated me like a princess or some bs. I never expected him to be there all the time I just thought we could be friends. Clearly not but I m just wondering why someone would say something like that instead of a simple i don t want to be friends or ignore me? |

Question: Why do people look at me and just assume that I don t like them? Posted: 04 Jan 2017 01:16 PM PST My sisters new boyfriend and I went to high school together and his biggest concern is that he feels I have a problem with him...I ve never even had a conversation with the guy. He isn t the first one, all my closest friends from school tell me that before they became my friends, I came off as someone who didn t want to associate with people who aren t of my "calibre" (whatever that means) and this was before I even knew who they were. I wasn t even the popular type in school, I had 3 friends and my claim to fame at school was that I always shut up and minded my own business. I was nice to anyone who approached me. I don t view my self as hostile, so why do people perceive me as such? I d Expand»on t need anyone to like me, but I m just curious as to why I m perceived this way... |
Question: How to stop being treated like an *** by my friends? Posted: 04 Jan 2017 01:08 PM PST Its honestly terrible. Also I am terrible at roasting ppl so i dont even try cause I'm too nice for that. It honestly sucks i wanna kill myself, and also my twin sister is in my class and i get embarassed when these a**holes treat me like that in front of her. I just tell myself to put up with it till the end of the school yr but it just gets harder every single second. I'm so pissed off and i try not to be mean to anyone cause everyone knows im a nice person so i dont want to loose that reputation cause of those a**holes. I'm so pissed how can I get them to stop treating me like sh*t cause I'm not and I am better and higher then all of them and this isn't bragging, they KNOW IT but obviously do not want to admit it its so frickin dumb and I hate it so frickin much and I'm rly sad cause of it cause I had no friends up until 6th grade and I rly dont want to go back to that(8th grd rn) and so far it looks like i am. |
Question: Does trump protecting Russia and slamming American intelligence mean they did help him? Posted: 04 Jan 2017 12:58 PM PST Seams obvious he's involved otherwise he wouldn't be breaking his back to defend them from the F.B.I and C.I.A. Maybe he thinks being president he could make it go away. Will America be weakened with a Russian traitor as president? |
Question: How weird is it to give a present to someone you've never talked to? Posted: 04 Jan 2017 12:17 PM PST To give some background, I'm a girl and in 11th grade, and I go to a very small school. Most people are pretty familiar with each other. On a few occasions, I've seen a girl in the grade below me playing a game in the library and in a class we share. I used to play the same game daily, and I bought some character figures a while back. I don't really play it anymore and wouldn't be sad to part with one, but how weird would it be to give it to her? I know her name and she knows mine, and we have mutual friends, but I don't think we've ever had a conversation or spoken. Would it be really weird to give her a present? |
Question: How to get over shyness? Posted: 04 Jan 2017 12:16 PM PST I am the shyest person anyone will ever meet. Every day at school I'm reminded that. I don't have any real friends in school all of them are outside of school. No one at my school includes me in anything people don't even know who I am at school. I don't have a boyfriend either. I'm not ugly or anything I just don't. I'm not quiet, because around my family and close friends I talk A LOT. I just have a problem when I'm at school. I'm such a loner and loser at school pretty much no one knows who the fu** I am. I can't get over shyness, I've been this way my whole entire life. I try to say something and start a conversation but no one seems to want to talk to me. So I just don't talk. Please help! |
Question: What to do when you feel alone? Posted: 04 Jan 2017 12:15 PM PST Recently I just haven't been liking the drama with my friends and just wanted to be left out of it, leaving me with not many close friends anymore. I've liked a few guys in the past few months, but I don't see a relationship forming any time soon, regardless of whether or not we like each other. I have one best friend who shares many good times with me and that's about it. As a junior in a high school it's not very easy to just up and leave a group of people and find all new friends. I just feel really lonely, and being alone is one of my top things that I hate. Nothing good ever comes out of me being alone to think. What should I do? Please help? |
Question: Am I wrong? Am I selfish? Posted: 04 Jan 2017 12:12 PM PST I have or had a friend who got mad at me because I wouldn't text her what time I was going to the gym or if I got to the gym I wouldn't let her know I was there. She said she is the only one that text me and I never do. I go to the gym everyday at the same time. When ever I do invite her she doesn't come. She only text me on the weekends after she party's then I am expected to show her how to workout. When we are at the gym she spends the whole time texting or talking. She complains about how much I push her. I am a wife and a mother of 2 and sometimes I just forget. Am I self-fish for not letting her know when I am going? Sorry she only text me on the weekdays after she party's. |
Question: What should I do about this "friend"? Posted: 04 Jan 2017 12:09 PM PST I'm an 18 year old male and my friend is 17. |

Question: My best friend forgot about my birthday? Should I just let it go? Posted: 04 Jan 2017 10:46 AM PST Yesterday was my 15th birthday. I don't like making a big deal of my birthdays, but it is still nice when someone acknowledges it. I don't have a whole lot of friends, and I only concider one to be a true friend... but I was really surprised when she forgot about my birthday yesterday. We've been friends for more than 6 years now and I know she wasn't busy yesterday since she was texting me all day. I just don't know what to think. She makes a really big deal out of her birthday and then she goes and completely forgets about mine? It's a really big deal, but I can't help but feel slightly hurt. I've always had the feeling that I care for her more than she does for me, and I feel that her forgetting my birthday is just confirming that. I don't think I'm ready to drop her friendship completely. Should I just let this slide or should I say something to her? |

Question: This kid I know with quite the record wants to become a detective.? Posted: 04 Jan 2017 09:37 AM PST I m on my way to becoming able enforcement officer, my ultimate goal has always been to become a homicide detective... I go on call regularly with the local sheriff and police department a few times a month. It s something I have always wanted to do since I was a little kid. I m currently a college student trying to get my masters in CJ. This guy has 0 college, he has a long criminal record including a felony for transporting very large amount of drugs across a state border. He somehow got it reduced after paying thousands of dollars in lawyer fees to where he is on probation but I think he is still has a felony on his record but it could get taken away after years of good behavior. He s serious about wanting to become a detective like me just because he sees the pictures I post with the great men I get to work a long side everyday and it makes him jealous. Is it even possible for him to become involved in law enforcement? Around here it s extremely competitive to say the least. I m 20 he s 21 lol the dude talks to me everywhere I see him it s annoying. |

Posted: 04 Jan 2017 08:59 AM PST I'm in my 30s and haven't talked to 2 of my friends for about 6 months. One of them I'd been knowing for 15 years and has a know-it-all personality. The other, I've known for 10 years. She's very ignorant and I always felt like I was being drained by her lack of intelligence. I think the only reason I tolerated them is because it's very hard to meet people in my age group, who are single and available to travel, shop, talk on the phone, etc, like I am. Therefore, just to avoid loneliness, I tried to find the good in them as a reason to continue the friendships. However, as of six months ago, I couldn't take it any longer. I was honest with myself about not being happy when I talk to them. I'd cringe when there phone numbers would show up and dread hearing what nonsense they had to say. So one day of not talking to them turned into 5, which turned into weeks and so on. And I'm actually happier and feel free. We've texted here and there but I'm veering away from that also. So am I wrong? |
