This is out of character for her, normally would plan it but never take action. Now she has a "friend" and they are gonna go through with it because she has been encouraged to do so. She met this "friend" a few days ago and he is not a good influence. I see that she is hurt SO bad and want to take revenge. Not harming them at all, just getting something back. BUT it will put her own life in danger, i have one chance to talk to her, i can't be physically there to stop her What can i say? please help, she is too caught up in her anger and took some action already. I can still stop her, but i have to do this BEFORE next Tuesday...PLEASE, what can i do?? |

My college started few days ago but my friends somehow gets invited by frat or sorority people they know. I know like two or three frat/sorority people but I never got invited. To be honest, I'm not really that nerdy but I still don't understand why I dont get invited to their parties. Do I first ask them to invite me? I'm more of the chill type who doesn't talk much and everybody else seems like a very hyper immature type. I talk to some people once in a while although I don't know how to start a good convo. I could really careless if I didn't have any friends it's just that lunch time is my biggest problem. I sit all alone outside and maybe sometimes alone in front of my class room door and watch people go by. I don't know if I can put up with it for much longer. I need someone to talk to. I've never had this problem before ever until now. Every night I worry about not having friends and being a loner for the next 4 years. I've always been popular at all of the schools I've been to, so this feeling of being alone is all new to me and I don't know if I can bare it. I don't want to join any clubs cause I don't play sport, don't like to read, and just don't like to take part in school activities. Help anything will be great. |

I ve made my absolute best best friends there and started to call it my home when we moved back to California. I had to leave my friends and my school and mostly everything I ve known and now I m a freshman at high school here. It s been about three weeks since school started. It s been a very hard transition. Everybody at school already has their group of friends that they hang out with from middle school and such. I ve become acquaintances with a few people and this one girl showed me her friends and now I hang out with them at lunch. The thing is that they re all really old friends to each other and they usually talk about things and people that I know nothing about so I m not very involved in their conversations and am usually very tense and uncomfortable when I m with them. They are really nice and everything though and they do try to include me but they just wanna talk about specific stuff sometimes. I m trying to become closer with them and everything, but it s very hard. One of the girls in the group did invite me to go shopping with her and we had a good time but at school she doesn t talk to me very much. Idk if I should ask her to hang out again. I ve also joined speech and debate in school and we just had out first meeting. I m really worried about making a partner in the club because I don t really know anyone there. |

I decided to screenshot her photo which looked quite funny at the time and posted it in the chat. My friends added some writing to them to make it harsh as a joke, I then said, that they should add her into the chat so she could see them. They were unable to add her so I did, thinking I was all big and mighty. There were only 5 edits of the picture and my friend said something harsh about it. She screenshot all the images and sent them to her big sister and also said that the police are coming, weather she s telling the truth or not I don t know. I don t want to see things like "you are horrible" or "low lives" because I am well aware of that. I would just like to know what could possibly happen, could we be prosecuted or charged? |

Most of the time I just talk to my three or four friends in band (not in my section) and am quiet the rest of the time. For those of you who have never been in marching band, you spend a lot of time with your section and pretty much everyone in the section is friends with each other unless. Anyways throghout the year we parties with our section. Last year there was only one and I declined in the nicest way I could. And a couple weeks ago there was another and I declined again. BTW the reason I don't want to go is because I'm not friends with any of them, I've never been to a party with a lot of people (in this case like twenty), I'm an introvert if you couldn't tell and I'm not good with new people, and I have no idea what they'll be doing (I heard some of them play smash bros and I don't like that game) Last time when they invited me the section leader who invited me seemed disappointed that I wasn't going and stuff and so there's one on Friday and they haven't gotten a head count yet. We were friends from fifth grade and were on track to graduate together but she left me the summer before our senior year. I saw her as my sister. We'd talk about any and everything there was until i had no choice but to stay at her house because it was getting late. I was her shadow and for awhile i was okay with having no identity of my own; they'd even get my name mixed up with hers. Then i joined jrotc with my other friend and we grew apart. She was pushed aside and i see that now i had did that. She wasn't comfortable with my friends, she wasn't comfortable meeting new people and i....i didn't get it. Well Tom and Tina broke up in June 2014. I met Tom in September 2014 and have been friends ever since. I'm a socially awkward person and I rarely start conversations with people that I don't know. I'm pretty quiet. I have never had any girlfriends or really even any close male friends either. I have some friends but I don't really see them on a daily basis and I don't hang out with them much. I don't hang out with anybody and I stay in the house a lot. When I was in high school, I never was in any programs and I hated it there because everyone else seemed to have friends and talked to people but I didn't. I feel lonely and like I'm invisible sometimes. If I were to die right now, with the exception of my family, no one would care. I wish I had good social skills like most normal people. It sucks having no one to talk to or hang out with. I'm only 17 and at this age, most people are having fun with their friends or doing exciting things but I sit around and do nothing. I have no one I can call to hangout with or go places with. I wish I could just be normal like everyone else. |

Even though she says she's not religious, she IS! Let's call her K. K is fun, and makes me laugh a lot. But K stresses about everything too much, and gets upset when I hangout with other people that are a "bad influence". I understand why. K always invites me to her church, and "gossiped" to her little church buddy that I am lying when I said I couldn't go one morning. Let's call her friend S. S is her best best best best best, oh she could go on FOREVER, best friend. This is, and I quote, in her newly made blog about her life/friends/church, etc. S and K have been friends way longer than me, maybe over 4-5 years. I understand. K said she ran out of time, and couldn't fix the blog to include me and her other church buddies. But I saw her on the computer yesterday, and she was just listening to Christian music. It's been a week. Her mom likes me, her brother is ok with me. But I can't curse, act weird/inappropriate, or even play my own music outloud. It annoys me that she is controlling my actions. K continues to invite me to her church, but I have declined many times. K leaves me out, and plans sleepovers and things with S all the time. I don't even know why I have this question, I just need opinions on what to do with her. Posted: 02 Sep 2015 01:43 PM PDT Today at work, my friend and I were assigned a really easy task, so we finished the job pretty early in the day, and we spent almost the entire afternoon talking and going on the computer. I felt like everyone was staring at us wondering why we weren't doing anything. I feel like everyone must think we're lazy. I feel bad because I know that I could have helped another person who was still working, but nobody seemed like they needed any help. I feel so bad. Everyone there probably hates me! Should I feel bad about this? |

Posted: 02 Sep 2015 01:33 PM PDT one of my goods friends has this neighbor in the grade above us, and the two of us first met a week ago bc she invited both of us to her house to hang out. we didnt say much to each other, but we talked a bit, and i didnt really like him that much. yesterday was the first day of school, and we had lunch together and he didnt have anyone to sit with so i sat with him, though i didnt really want to. we didnt really say too much to each other, just a basic "how was your day" type of thing. i sat with him again today, but this time one of my friends came over and sat with us, so i was happy with that. i only just got his number yesterday too, and we barely texted. well he just sent me a poem basically confessing his love to me... he said we knew each other very well (we dont, he doesnt know **** about me and vise versa), and that he felt safe around me. then he asked if he can take me to dinner, and i just said i couldnt. i dont really want him in my life at all, and he was friends with some of my friends and he liked all of them too. im kinda afraid of him bc he has very bad anger issues and i dont want to end up having him threaten me or anything, so i dont know if i can cut off the "friendship". please help i dont know what to do |

Posted: 02 Sep 2015 01:18 PM PDT My sister dropped me off at school, both of us crying a lot and hugging, i said goodbye, and walked into school looking like i just cried (because i did) and I've been having the worst day ever. I spilled chocolate milk on my white shirt, my friends were fake to me today, and when i got home i just laid in my bed crying for a little while. I can't help but cry. She's my best friend and i gossip with her and we hang out together all the time, and she keeps my secrets and i keep hers. She's the most realest friend you can have. I miss her so much and she said i can FaceTime her when ever id like, but its just not the same. We won't watch our favorite shows together anymore and all that, which sucks so much. I can tell her things i can't tell my mom. but now its just so much more different. I know I'm making a big deal but we're close and i don't want that to change. My brother is a senior in high school so he's leaving next year (dunno what school tho) and my half sister who's 30 lives in her own house with two kids. I'm not even out of middle school yet. Please can someone tell me what i should do to calm myself down? I'm really sad. P.S she is about 2 hours away, I know I'm being dramatic, she's coming every other weekend. ( I'm in 8th grade ) |

I have no idea how to help her because she's really upset because god forbid he got caught he'd be fired and they are a one income family. She stays at home and cares for the kids and the house. I dont know how to help her. I don't even know what I would do in her shoes and she doesn't want to tell people and only came to me and I just not even know what to tell her... | Question: Friends into Cocaine? Posted: 02 Sep 2015 12:47 PM PDT I'm 21 and I have had the same friend group of about 10 people since I was about 7 years old. We live about 20 miles in the suburbs outside the city. All of my friends are good people, we've been drinking since the end of junior high and smoking pot since the beginning of high school. I never thought much of it. All of us decided to either get a job in our hometown or go to a college that we could commute to because none of us could imagine not spending time together on a regular basis. However recently in the past year the majority of my friend group has regularly started doing Cocaine. A few do it on a daily basis and the others do it on the weekends at house parties. For me cocaine just seems way too hardcore to even consider taking. So my question is this... Is this a normal thing that people my age do or do my friends seriously have a drug problem with cocaine ? |

She is 23 and I am 21. I helped her paint her studio. I help her with her fundraisers, and I drive 45 min numerous times a week to see her and hang out. She really doesnt make an effort with me. Sure she tells me she loves me and I am one of her best friends.... but I dont believe it. She claims she has a few "best friends" and that is fine. But whenever she talks about me she says I am one of her closest friends. But I am never talked about on social media where her other "best friends" are. I am never WCW or anything! She always calls her best friends her best friend. But I am introduced as a close friend. Idk. I know I am prob overthinking it! But it still bothers me. What do you think? |

And most of the time they don't even realize theyre doing it. This type of **** always happens to me. I feel left out in the dust. Just yesterday, I asked one of my friends to chill and she was like "idk if I can today" I was like ok lemme know. Next thing I know, I find out shes with one of her other friends. It makes me wonder if theres something wrong with me? This has ALWAYS happened to me my whole life. I have 3 bros and a step brother, and when I was really young I think I actually kinda wanted to BE a boy. Girls made me feel awkward, clunky, and extremely misfit. Boys were fun to play with and easy to talk to. Then puberty happened and I was blessed/cursed with some sort of amazing body and started to appreciate hair and makeup...so I look like this pretty girly girl on the outside but I m still a gawky silly boyish thing on the inside. I m now 26, and have no female friends. I have tried, trust that! I always end up being on the outside of the friend clique...kinda treated like an odd novelty, a "less than girl." I have even been asked if I m a lesbian. I think my energy is just weirdly masculine and I don t know who I fit in with. And I am practically married and no longer find it appropriate to just hang with the guys. Even though that s still my comfort zone. My boyfriend doesn t mind if I spend time with male friends but I would rather have just ONE girl who I could talk to. I truly don t know what to do. If you feel you get along better with dudes, you re labeled a man-eating attention whore. I seriously try to make girlfriends, I m just so awkward at it. Posted: 02 Sep 2015 11:52 AM PDT I m a 13 year old girl who lives in Scotland - and I ve been friends with this boy since nursery(age 4) and I love him so much, it s weird though because i love him as a friend not a soulmate. Everytime I m with him I laugh til I cry and I m not scared to be myself with him. But when we came to high school (age 11) we stopped speaking because we had no classes. I miss him so much I could cry, I have his number but I think his phone broke because he never answers me. We have started to say hi as we walk past again (so far twice) one of my friends says she s in his art and apparently he can be nasty to this one guy which doesn t sound like him at all, but I really want to become his friend again. I was hanging out with this guy this summer for a couple of times until he snatched the keys to my dirtbike when I was going to start it, I mean he already had a dirt bike and it was faster than mine. And there are two guys who bullied me about 2-3 years ago and now they're doing it outside of school since they're in college now and I'm in my final grade and after that I'll go to college as well. But I don't understand why they still bully me. I haven't done anything to them either yet they want to see me hurt. And people from my school like these people and hang out with them and they're nice to each other but for some reason anyone who knows those people or someone who's "popular" disrespects me and it makes me sad but I don't express my sadness to anyone. And I can't find anyone who wants to drive with me. I can't find someone who'd enjoy riding on dirt bikes with me and that just hurts. There's this other guy who rides dirt bikes with his friends and we hung out a couple of times and he wasn't mean or anything but I just get ignored by him now and as for his friends, they don't talk to me either nor do they seem willing to do so and I feel worthless. And there was this girl who kinda liked me last year (and then I mean before summer break) but now when she's in another class and hangs out with douchebags she doesn't show any interest in me at all. Posted: 02 Sep 2015 11:34 AM PDT Ok so yesterday at school at recess while me and 2 of my friends where talking one of them took out their phones and while she was typing her password the other girl was covering the phone so I couldn't know what her password was. I find that unfair because they both know my password but I don't know theirs . And then they were whispering secrets to each other. (I have no idea was they were about). Before like a couple of months ago they weren't like that. And whenever I sit with them at lunch they talk to each other and don't even include me in their conversations. Now I rarely ever sit with them anymore for lunch I sit with my other friend. At recess everyday I hang out with them because my other friend has to finish up her school works. I feel like they changed completely. What do I do? Should I make new friends? |
