| Posted: 02 Jun 2015 07:54 PM PDT My bf is a successful accountant with a good amount of money saved , lives on his own and has no kids, car paid off, he's 23 years old living a great life free from any financial struggle. me on the other hand, im 22 a full time student, part time student, owner of a ridiculously high car note, someone who splits all bills with my mother, and currently trying to figure out how to pay off a school bill of $6000. So, my bf lives 45 mins away from me and on my off days i drive over to his place since i live with my mom, its better that way. on many days of the week he meets me half way and we see a movie or something so its fair as far as traveling. however the other day he drove my car with me in the passenger seat and experienced the bad brakes for himself. He asked me when i planned to get them done, i said as soon as i am able too. He knows my situation though and knows that they won't be soon. the other day when i was driving up to his place he was also getting out of his car to go inside of his place and he made a joke and said that he heard me before he saw me. It was funny i thought, until my sister and fav. cousin started to talk to me days later about how i shouldnt be with a guy who knows i have bad brakes and drive 45 mins to see and he hasn't offered to pay for them. what do you think? we have been together for over 10 months btw I meant to put that i am a full time student and part time worker |

I was fighting with my parents about divorcing each other and I took all my anger out on him but we didn't break up until my friend Eldred came along. I just found this old question, reposting it to see fresh answers. So im shy and everyone respects me because im very smart and quiet. Only very few people approach me and when they do, its very rare like when they ask questions. So theres this girl I like and one time one of her friends dropped their paper. (in my mind i was like ****) because i knew as any one with manners i would pick it up. So, me and this girl were like more than best friends since 8th grade. Like, I would call it a flirty type of relationship, none the less we were really close. Towards the end of 10th grade, I don't know what happened. I thought she was into another guy, so I gave her space. She was going through some stuff but she didn't really allow me to be there for her, so once again I gave her space. When I came back from Summer break it was as if we never even knew each other. Also, at this time another guy was into her so I just tried my best to forget about her. Like deep down I knew I still liked her but I felt that it was too late and she didn't seem to mind us not hanging out anymore. Fast forward again, now I'm in 12th and of course I'm graduating in two weeks. I've been trying to convince myself that I'm not in love with her so I can get on with my life but I think I'm lying. Not to mention she stares at me and two weeks ago she randomly hugged me from behind really tight and I was extremely shocked and my friend said "Aw that's so cute you guys used to be so close" and she said "He hates me" to my friend. So that's confused the **** out of me. So, should I apologize to her for ignoring her and what not and explain how I was feeling? I don't want to regret anything after graduation. |

I looked through the messages nd realized she was more than just a friend. I confronted him about it nd it turns out they had sex while they were drunk at a party and she ended up getting pregnant. It was a safe street with a lot of ppl in a good neighborhood in the middle of the day and like that all the way to where she was going so I just let her walk and checked in to make sure she got there safe anyways (she did). Do I owe her an apology for changing my mind about driving her once I found out where she was going? Even though I offered alternatives that would have gotten her there anyways? I respect her right as an individual/adult to choose but I just don't feel comfortable being part of it or being an enabler in any way. I feel bad that she WALKED the entire way but I mean I did give her other options. (Don't comment about what I should do about her drug use please; that's an entirely different can of worms.) |
