Question: What should I do when a wedding invitation is taking forever to arrive to its destination? Posted: 08 Apr 2015 11:14 PM PDT I sent wedding invitations out to my family members. I sent them out on Friday, March 27 (nearly two weeks ago) Almost everyone in Indiana has received them, except for one family, and one family in South Dakota. You would think if I wrote the wrong address, the letter would return? I have not received any returned letters by the post. Should I go ahead and send them another letter? Or should I wait and see what happens? I need everyone to receive an invite ASAP so we can get our RSVPs, so I am not sure what to do. :/ plus, we don't have a lot of invitations to go around replacing ones that got lost in the mail. What would be the best solution? |

Question: What's the danger of an egocentric spouse? Posted: 08 Apr 2015 08:21 PM PDT My fiance, when I say I don't like something, becomes egocentric and sometimes angry. It's his way or pouting/sulking. It's not about my feelings but everything is about "upping" me. About his pride. With me for example, I told him I don't like drinking. He said to prove I'm not stubborn I have to go to a bar with him (don't have to drink, but I have to go with him, otherwise I am selfish). He once told me that when he was upset with his mother and she asked him to get milk from the store, he deliberately got sour cream. Also, if I don't agree with something like clothing style he says I just haven't developed a mature taste yet and have to learn grace, but that he will teach me. His quotes: "You don't even know what you like yet." (Making me doubt my own taste). "I KNOW fashion. Your beauty needs to be sharpened. Your image says a lot about you" I have a bohemian esque clothing style but he wants to change my dress to a more name-brand, professional look. He said "spouses should please one another." He once said he is afraid to have children with me when I disagreed with something he said. Can this become worse after marriage? Can it potentially become abusive? |
Question: I am a maid of honor at a small wedding, what should I do? Posted: 08 Apr 2015 07:45 PM PDT Ok, I'm a teenager so please excuse my naive question. My aunt is the bride, and I'm the maid of honor, but this wedding is quite laid back, it's in 20 days and I just found out I was the MOH, she hasn't found her dress yet, they're not even doing invitations. I'm asking her as many questions as I can, but I still don't know what to expect, and it's the first wedding I've ever been to. I have a checklist of things to bring (chocolate, sewing kit, etc), and such. She does not drink and neither does the groom. Any tips? Thank you! |
Question: Can I pull off this wedding? (lowered my budget and don't even feel like having one)? Posted: 08 Apr 2015 07:30 PM PDT I love my fiancé more than anything. I most definitely want to marry him but we both have small family and we wanted to have an intimate wedding of 60 guests max (very close friends and family). Thing is, my family had hurt me so much. I feel like I don't want anyone at my wedding because no one seems to be truly happy for me since I got engaged. Some people tried to talk my fiancé out of proposing, others didn't even say congratulations with a smile (a simple "oh ok congrats" *handshake*). Some dont know im engaged becauset they wanted me to marry after 30 (im 23).I feel do hurt! But I want to do something small only because of my mom. She dreams of handing me over to my soon to be husband and see me in a wedding dress. (That is also my dream). But I'm so mad. So hurt from everything that is going on with my family. I lowered my budget from 20k to about 7k I prefer to spend that money on my honeymoon going to the Caribbean lol. So can I pull of a small cocktail and appetizers for 2 to 3 hrs max after the ceremony for that amount? I live in Chicago. |

Question: CALLING ALL LADIES, MALE NEEDS SOME FEMALE OPINIONS/ADVICE? Posted: 08 Apr 2015 05:53 PM PDT so hello ladies and males who care to read, so im only 17 and have started to play the piano, im fairly ok i know a few songs BUT im not great and dont need to be any time soon. Whenever i meet that perfect girl, my wife, i have an idea on how to propose to her but i want some other girls opinions and HONESTY. so after a few years of being with her knowing shes the one, when i propose to her i was thinking of personally playing the song "Marry Me: By Train" on the piano, is that a good?? how would you react?? And another idea i have is on our wedding day, at the after party or whatever it is, not at the church but like afterwards where the wife and husband and grooms lady n men are at a big table (guessing thats the after party just to be clear) i was thinking, putting a slide show together of pictures and videos of me and her with the song "And I Love Her: by Passenger" in the background. that a good idea?? your thoughts?? thank you so much. |

Posted: 08 Apr 2015 01:51 PM PDT I'm getting married soon and I know you have to go to the town or city clerk but after you filled out the paper do you get your liscense in the mail? Question: HELP! Declining Maid of Honour? Posted: 08 Apr 2015 01:06 PM PDT My best friend since childhood is getting married in November and recently started hinting for me to be her maid of honour, and has been asking me to call her. She has been working for almost 5 years now, and has a settled job. I, however, am just finishing up dental school and am on track to write my licensing... |

Question: The girl I like is engaged and I am so upset and angry? Posted: 08 Apr 2015 10:54 AM PDT there is this tutor I worked with in my community college for my math class. My class ended but I attend a university now but she is there too. (which I already knew but I didn't know she was there when I was) She saw me one day and she came up and chatted with me. I still see her on campus sometimes and we chat. She is about 28 and I am 22. I realize I have a big crush on her and think about her a lot, but I have zero chance with her because she is engaged to be married already and she is older. But despite that I have developed some kind of obsession with her. I think about her all the time and the last time we spoke I secretly switched the recorder on my phone on and recorded the entire conversation, and I listen to it over and over honestly, I can't stand that she is with another guy, whenever I see that ring on her finger I want to grab it and smash it to a million pieces. I also like to take a piece of paper and cut it up pretending it is her fiance, and I do imagine hurting him badly or even killing him, I know it is wrong but I can't help myself. I can't stand it, No I can't let her be with another guy, I want to kill him. The only reason I won't is because it is illegal and I will get arrested if I do is this a problem I should tell someone about, or will I get over it soon? This girl is also rather touchy feely, always patting me on the back or shoulder or side. I wonder why. also, she was my tutor but I still see her around and we chat. She was the one that initiated the first conversation when she saw me, I never initiate conversations with anyone let alone girls |
Question: I think my boyfriend is going to propose to me and I don t know what to do.? Posted: 08 Apr 2015 10:28 AM PDT Yesterday I saw the text he sent to his mom saying he was wanting to propose to me and was going to go look for an engagement ring this weekend. I m scared because I really don t want to marry him. WE have been together for the past three years, and I have a six year old daughter from a previous relatonship. Her father and I broke up on good terms, and we still are on good terms and a part of me still loves him since we were together for 8 years. So when I found out my current boyfriend wanted to propose, I got scared. I love him, I really do but I feel like a part of me would be betraying him if I married him now. I m scared of telling him how I free because I don t want to break his heart. I just need more time. I love him and I feel like we have a strong relationship, but I'm not ready to be engaged yet. I thought I was over my ex until I saw the text. We never really talked about marriage; I'm going to be honest with him with how I feel and go from there. I told my boyfriend that I saw his text to his mom, and admitted I didn't want to be engaged to him right now. We had an honest talk. I told him I missed and loved my ex but I also loved him. He then asked me if my ex were to ask for me back tomorrow, would I go back. I honestly said I wasn't sure. In the end we both decided it was better if we took some time apart before we make a mistake we will both regret. It was hard but a part of me feel so much better. |

Posted: 08 Apr 2015 09:14 AM PDT I'm doing some recon for an engagement ring. I'd like to get myself closest to whole sale price as one can hope to get without having an inside connection. I'm just looking for a good place to start. -Thanks |
Question: Should I buy myself a ring band? More info below. Thanks.? Posted: 08 Apr 2015 09:10 AM PDT Hello, me and my girlfriend have been dating for almost 7 months now. I had gotten her a promsie ring for Christmas which was a little after 3 months. She had recently asked me about getting myself a band. Would it be appropriate for me to have a ring as well as her to match? Would it seem to early or weird since we're not engaged or married? Should I buy myself a ring band? More info below. Thanks. |

Posted: 08 Apr 2015 12:28 AM PDT I have many first cousins who I hardly ever see or speak to, but I feel obligated to invite all first cousins if I invite some first cousins. But, do I have to invite their husband/wife as well if said cousin is married? Very limited budget. |
Question: Engagement ring and wedding band protocol? Posted: 08 Apr 2015 12:25 AM PDT So I'm wearing an engagement ring, and my fiance will be putting a band on my finger during the ceremony. So am I supposed to take off the engagement ring before the ceremony? Do I give it back to him beforehand, so he can put both rings on my finger at the same time? Does the band go on the inside or the outside? |
