Posted: 01 Apr 2015 02:24 PM PDT I'm healthy, 20 years old, live in a great apartment, I have great friends, always had good grades, family is wealthy, Im good looking, funny, smart etc. But the thing is I don't want any of that... I've always (since elementary school) fantasized about my current crush as I fell asleep, picturing her next to me, cuddling. The happiest I have ever been was with a girl that I now think things are over with. She just doesn't feel it anymore. It's not that I'm angry, or crying and needing to "end the pain". Nothing dramatic. It's just that when I think about it, the only reason I don't kill myself is because she would think herself guilty, and my family would fall apart. I feel like there's no letter I could leave to describe that life, to me at least, is not something worth doing. Everybody would be upset, there'd be a funeral, my bday every year would be depressing. I'd just like to end my life in a simple clean way and make everyone understand it's simply what I'd rather do. I don't believe there is an afterlife, for me it makes more sense that you just "shut down" so to speak, you cease to exist as far you're concerned. That sounds nice, because I do not wish to wait around for a girl to show up that I fall in love with again and possibly fail and repeat. I guess I just want general thoughts on this? The concept of a simple clean suicide that everyone understands without feeling guilty gives me goose-bumps, but it seems more like a fairy tale than something that can be done. |

Tickets are only 25 dollars but my mom hates doing things (in general) more than once, and said "absolutely not!" to this request, and feels that I need to learn how to spend my money "more responsibly". I don t think this is unreasonable, because I would pay with my own money, and there are no other reasons affecting her decision. We have been great friends since we met in 8th grade, almost instantly. We pretty much consider each other brothers. His mother always welcomed me into their home with open arms and I would always give her a hug and kiss on the cheek, she was basically my second mother. Then one day this man who was living with his mom made a complaint that my uncle wasn't doing a good job, I don't know exactly what was said but my uncle ended up having to give his position to that man. So this man and his mother have been janitors since 2002 now. Anywho, I always found him sketchy because why was he watching my uncle if he lived in another building? Well I noticed fairly odd behavior from him plenty more times, when I was about 12 years old I would go play some ball with my friend in front of the building when all of a sudden he came down and yelled "this isn't a playground take your ball somewhere else!" I was startled that he would yell at me about something that was okay before. I let it go. I eventually moved out of there and came back last year to stay with my other uncle who is still living there. The same man is still the janitor, only problem now is...he got married & his wife is just as bad! WHENEVER I leave the house to go hang out with my friends they're looking out the window, when I come home they jump to their window and stare. It's very disturbing. But what's even more scary is that they tell my uncle every move I make? I feel like they're interfering with my privacy and I don't know what to do. |

We agreed on a budget and I gave her half the money. If she goes over budget that is on her. But how can she spend so much money on crap? The other day she bought some plate for like $50. ONE PLATE! For example, talking with my friends, I could just ask them tons of questions about their life, what they like, what they saw, their past, their future, their present, or I talk about everything in mine. When I got home from my trip last night, I was so excited I wanted nothing more than to call my boyfriend to discuss how his day and my day went. I tried to allow myself to just talk - explain what I did during the day, what I liked, asked him about his day.. Then suddenly it was just those long silent pauses.. I'm usually ok with it.. and if we are in a long car ride he will put on music... Why is it so hard for me to connect with him? We've been dating almost a year. I don't know much about him. Lately, I've been pressuring my boyfriend to talk to me every night for at least 5 minutes.. but he isn't big on it. He thinks texting a "goodnight" is sufficient. Now I'm realizing that there are plenty of blank moments in our conversations. In person, we can be in each others company and not talk much. Our relationship recently (within the last month) was rocked when i found she had been talking to another guy (a coworker), and slept with him on one occasion. She's since quit her job, and has no contact with him(phone records/and social media have verified this). Since this all occurred our relationship has been strained, she seems genuinely remorseful for what she has done, and I have been dedicated to making this work... Today however, to throw another wrench into things, she informed me, despite our use of a Paragard IUD, that she has tested positive for being pregnant on two different tests, she is going in tomorrow for blood work to verify. Though I am not concerned that the child may be the other guys (she claims he used a condom) she has agreed to DNA test the child to put my mind at rest. So as you can imagine my head is spinning. I have a decent job making a decent wage, and the job she just started also pays decently, however with the turmoil our relationship is in, the added stress of a child may just be enough to break me. I feel that due to how unprepared we are to have this child, and mentally, coupled with our age and goals that a medical (chemical) abortion would be our best option in the pursuit to preserve our futures, however, she feels strongly about not aborting the child and would rather carry the baby full term and put it up for adoption. |

But today, he really hurt my feelings. I mean really bad. I can't go into specifics of what happened, but I cried pretty much all day which had a huge affect on my productivity. I was constantly having to run to the bathroom because I couldn't hold back my tears. I felt embarrassed, humiliated, and like I was being treated like I was a kid again. It's so bad that I am having horrible anxiety because I do not want to go back to work tomorrow! Everyone has a bad day, but I think this extends beyond that. There's no bitterness or anything, and I only like him as an acquaintance now. He's a pretty nice guy, and we'll usually say hi in passing. He's in one of my classes, and I've noticed that he seems really unhappy lately. He comes into class, silent and sullen, takes his seat, and frowns the whole time. Even when the prof tells a joke (and he tells a lot), he won't laugh. Maybe he isn't into the class, and I could get that, but this doesn't seem normal and I'm getting a little concerned. I don't know him super well, and I don't want to jump the gun, but I also don't want him to be depressed and not telling anyone. What should I do? |

But I told him we live in an area of country where it gets really cold in winter, why should I suffer inside because it's cold outside? 65 degrees hurts my bones..I can't stop shivering! Her and her boyfriend got together last summer and immediately she started talking about how in love she is with him. It wasn't too long after that he was filling her head with wedding talk. A few months went by and he moved in to her bedroom too. At some point in November she went over to a friends house and something happened and she ended up kissing someone else. Most people would just leave someone over that but not him. He made her delete all her social media accounts even though she wasn't "talking" to any guys on them. He started checking her phone periodically every day and he wouldn't let her leave her own house without his permission. He makes her drive him everywhere, we were having a family bbq (I hadn't seen her in almost 2 months) and he made her leave to take him to a town that's almost 2 hours away to sell an Ipad just because he didn't want to wait another day. She re-activated her facebook a few days ago and saw something he posted so he deactivated her cell phone (he also "talks" to other females on facebook) and he made her shut down her facebook again, it wasn't even up for an hour. He yells at her all the time and she feels like everything is always her fault because she kissed someone else way back in november. He dictates who she can and can't spend time with so now she has no friends and the only reason I get to see her is because I'm her sister, but who knows how long that will last. On sunday he borrowed her car (he's got a suspended license and is on probation) and he gave her a dirty look as he walked away and she shrunk down her chair. I'm so worried about her and he's done MMA fighting for the last 5 years. I told her to leave him and she said that she loves him AND that she's afraid of him. she was one of those pretty popular girls who has everything just handed to them before she started dating him. Not some self-loathing hobbit. He is everything I could dream and we Skype every day and talk all the time and we are making plans and Ive even Skype his mom. I don't think he would cheat. I have trust issues from my last relationship which is why Im not saying anything to him about how this bothers me because I dont want to ruin this with old baggage.
