Posted: 01 Apr 2015 05:14 PM PDT OK, if my friends text me I always reply back, but if I text them they sometimes don t reply back. And I can see that they ve read it too. And I understand that get busy and I m cool if they don t answer to something trivial. But they always do it when I ask something. For example, my friend is always hitting me up to study and I always reply to let her know if I can or not. When I can, she always picks the place and I always, always drive us. But when I ask her she either says she can t, is studying when her study group (we go to different schools), or will say yes and then leave me hanging. Like today, I asked her if she wanted to study, she said yes, I asked where, she read the text and didn t answer. Like what? Did I do something wrong? This and other things have me thinking. Why am I always so quick to respond and be a dependable friend while they don t do the same for me. Why do I feel compelled to be a good friend when they always put me last. Like one time we had already planned to meet and study and I asked her if she was ready and she told me that she was going to study with her study group instead. I mean, I understand but at least tell me ahead of time instead of letting me get ready to leave. It s just little things like that that disappoint me. How can I show that I am not always going to be there? How can they start taking me more seriously? Because I know she wouldn t do that to someone else. It s just rude. I'm 18 and still keep in touch with all my childhood friends, but I lost one of my dearest friends from elementary school. He and I were best friends and childhood sweethearts. He said he was going to marry me when we grew older. A funny thing I remember was the day we decided to "have a kid", so we went to the supermarket and bought a smiley face plushie and named him "Happy". He was the nicest friend I ever had, but we ended up losing touch and drifting apart after I moved cities. A while ago, a bunch of people from my elementary school found each other on a messaging app and created a reunion group chat. I found him and sent a message, and we started talking again after 8 years. We were pretty excited at first, but after a few exchanges I knew we've grown apart and become different people. We don't share anything in common, and there just wasn't a connection between us anymore. It's inevitable that something like this would happen; I mean we were 10, what did we know about love or relationships? But part of me still misses the times we had together, as naive as we were. I don't think about him often because I've got other great people in my life now, but I still dream about him sometimes. I wonder why. |

Posted: 01 Apr 2015 05:02 PM PDT I use to have friends but now in high school things have changed. kids are worse. people have been saying i'm a lesbian and i'm a guy around school along with i'm a whore. one of my friends started these and said i tried doing it with her, now no one hangs out with me. most recently a girl posted a pic of me on facebook cuz she sat next to me in one class, she said look at this ugly rat i have to sit next to. she said it was a joke later. then in gym, i was joking around with this other girl and as a 'joke' she took my gym shoes and tossed them in the toilet. there's a lot but i won't waste your time. i'll be a junior next year there's a school outside of my town it's not that bad of a drive, should i try it? there's less problems i hear and it's much smaller too. i have went to counselors and even the principal, all they said was i should have come to them sooner and they won't telling me an exact problem. |

I also had one of my best friends online there as well. We were all really happy, and honestly, I have never, ever been that happy in my entire life. But even so, we grew further, and further, and further apart. Me and my best friend were no longer friends, and she hates me now. I tried to make it up, but I can t. The friends I had changed, and they went their own ways. I am literally crying so badly and I can t stop.. I just want to reverse time to when we were happy, and I wish I never ever did what I ve done to my best friend. I hate change with all my heart, even though I ve changed myself. I I miss them so much, and there is absolutely no way I can get in contact with them.. and I would never try making up with my best friend ever again, I ve done it too many times and it hurts more each time. Posted: 01 Apr 2015 04:18 PM PDT I have been living with him for over a year now...he still Refuses to utilise the communal area (living room) Refuses to clean kitchen area that we both use Stays in room all day and makes loud noises/cooking throughout the night which wakes me up...however is irritated by me watching tv during the day. Is extremely cautious and hides all food/crockery/ pots /pans in room (I understand the need for this initially due to trust but after 2 years and no theft I think it's a bit sketchy) The little food that he keeps in the fridge is padlocked and wrapped in boxes.. I repeat , I am the only other flatmate in the property and I don't bring home much people, and after years of not stealing anything, I think it's still a bit rich to be padlocking food. Due to his sketchiness I have even begun hiding my own things, because I believe anyone that is excessively cautious must also be an untrustworthy person. Fortunately, I own the house and moving in was his choice initially, So I don't understand the privateness after 2 years of living together. I dunno what I should do, he pays the rent on time, and I have exams coming soon so I won't have time to search for a new paying flatmate until May.... I tried being nicer and even thourght it was my problem initially but it's impossible to be civil with someone who is so full of themselves.. It's insulting |

Until one sleepover we had we got caught watching porn. His parents dont want me to hang out with him. Anyway, hes in my neighborhood so hes on my bus. I shared everything with that kid which turns out it was a mistake. This kid spreads these things to everyone. Hes not big at all. In fact, hes the same height of me but scrawny. My ex best friend has spread things about how my ex girlfriend and I used to touch each other. And one time, i accidentally pulled my gf's bra strap and she got mad and as a joke pushed me o the ground and stomped on my back. Of course, shes on the bus one day with her friend and brings it up. He always brings these things up and I think tells everyone he knows. However, that doesnt mean he doesnt have anything embarrassing about him that I know. Posted: 01 Apr 2015 04:12 PM PDT Late last night I was informed it was my friend's birthday 2morrow.I found it odd I wasn't told so before, considering this girl likes attention.She texted me & my other friend about this, & was real sweet saying we didn't have to make happy bday signs or anything, since it was such late notice. However we both felt obligated to since she made signs for our bdays. I remembered her saying her bday was in may but shrugged it off. Later I saw she had said about a month ago her bday was may 7th. I asked her why she said that, & was told she was joking when she said that.I texted my other friend & told her I thought she was lying, but my friend convinced me it was actually her bday 2morrow. It was very late now 7 I still had a ton of science hw. I made the sign and put a lot of effort into it, took about 2 hours. By then thought she wasn't lying since she & my friend went so far to make me believe it was. I ended up crashing out at 2:30 & didn't do my science hw because I put my friend first. Long story short I went to school & found out it wasn't her bday and other friend didn't make a sign bc she was in on it. For not doing my science project my teacher yelled at me and called my parents. If my friends wouldn't of lied to me I would've done my hw but I cared about her to much. Now everyone is gossip about it i'm so upset. They tried apologizing, but it was insincere. I am also sick of her treating me bad, she punched me in the nose yesterday and keeps gossiping what do I do? | Posted: 01 Apr 2015 04:10 PM PDT I'll try to keep this short. I sit at a lunch table with 6 other people, 2 that I dislike. There is this one annoying kid that likes to bother us. They hid his backpack. So, he tried to find it and after a few minutes I said "Let's just tell him where it is." The one I dislike said "If you do I'll pour water on you." I ignored her because.. well f*** her. I told him and she poured water on me and said "Bad girl." Like I was a dog. I didn't say anything but when she set the water bottle down I grabbed it and squirt it in her face. She grabbed the water bottle but I wasn't going to let her have it because if she got it she would squirt me back. So we fought over it until the security guard came and told us to stop. Conveniently, lunch was over a couple minutes after that. We left. Now its Spring Break. When I come back I dont know if I should sit with them. My options of people to sit with: 1: Stay with them 2: Other friend but bad influence (drugs and skipping) 3: Table of good people but everyone at my old table knows them and we sit a table apart so..awkward. 4: Library and pack a lunch (that seems like letting her win) 5: Find new people Thanks for reading :) |

I have my ups and downs and im usually very depressed, but lately i have been feeling more happy (i just lost a friend who i actually didnt want to be friends with anymore). I have 2 people who i consider good friends and a few others who i consider fake friends. I used to have a "clique" but its kind of fallen apart and i am only really friends with 2 of them now. I have no luck with boys at all even though i have been told i am pretty. Even though its not bad, its also not good. Is it worth it to switch schools now? I feel like coming into a new school now would kind of make me an outsider because 2 new people came to our grade this year and they dont have many friends. I got invited to a party once during my whole high school experience :( also, i think everyone had to sign a contract ensuring their committment to the school (so basically saying that they wont leave) does anyone know the cost if you DO leave? I have absolutely no one to talk to as a true friend on a regular basis and i think it's making me feel depressed. Never had a girlfriend or anything close to it. I have no idea how to make friends, whenever i tried in the past it just never worked out. Growing up, I been virtually a loner most of the time, being picked on in middle school and high school. I do have friends who don't live near me but they are doing their own thing. The acquaintances that do live near me either aren't as inviting as I would like. My dad didn't like me being out so I was home a lot growing up and my social skills are probably aren't where they should be. I'm a college student but my gpa is not even higher than a 2.5. i been struggling all my college life just because i want to make my dad proud that i'm working towards a degree. I don't live on campus so there's no opportunity for me that way. My phone literally goes days and days without a text/phone call (outside of work/school and immediate family) I keep telling myself I can do this alone but it's not working. I feel my life at this point might actually be worth ending to get rid of all this doubt in my mind. Any advice would be appreciated. |

(She's kind of wierd) So I decide, being the nice that I am, to try and spark a conversation with her. That was our first semester and now she thinks we're buddies. I know mostly everyone in our P.E. class yet she still doesn't talk to anyone. Just last week she threatened me by saying she didn't want to get in my face. I should also mention that everywhere that I go she follows and I'm getting pissed off about at. She also shows up out of nowhere like coming from behind the bleachers and saying things like "Here I am!" I'm now avoiding her at all cost, but not trying to be mean about it. Since the gym is in another building on our school campus it takes a while for me to walk to that class period, and she always tries to walk and catch up with me. My other friends are aware and one has even told her to leave them alone when I was absent, but she still follows us. I really don't know what to do at this point so any advice would be nice :-) |

First I met up with lauren* and we got really close, like I would have referred to her as my best friend, then Alice* and Asshole* came along. It was all g. We knew eachother from secondary school and we got on so we moved in together. They were part of the cool sporty girl crew in s school. Personally I never had much time for them but then I got on with them so it was grand. So now we live together and I literally can't stand them. I live with another boy who does the same course as them (and they reported him to the lecturer because they got annoyed at him, and they stole his shoes) but now whenever I talk I'm met with you're a weirdo. You're full of ****. I actually couldn't pretend to give a **** etc.Plus because they're so pally anything that goes wrong is always blamed on me. They seem to think im an idiot and regardless of whether I tell them I didn't do it, I'm told I did and they all ***** about it for ages after. Asshole.* is by far the worst though. She's the quiet one who everyone assumes is a sweetheart. But anything that I do pisses her off like I spilt shampoo in the shower and neglected to clean it straight away and she told everyone making me out to be a slob. The worst thing is she's too much of a pussy to tell me and she would actively be nice to my face and then I'd find out she's been bitching all day. Posted: 01 Apr 2015 03:18 PM PDT My sister has been cutting herself for the last 6 months my mom told me about about 5 weeks ago She started being a lot different not behavior wise she has been real joyful we get along well we watch tv together play outside ride our bicycles but her room is filled with lots of paper taped to the that have stuff written on it like "I miss you" "Loved you now your gone"and other depressing notes Ive been trying my best to keep all the sharp things in my house hidden but she will go as far as stealing hand sharpeners taking the razor out or getting them from my dads tool box my mom and dad are super supportive they sit and listen to her about any thing she has to say there trying so hard to help her friends are the one who found out about it first they saw the cuts at school and they went and told the school counsiler about the school calls our parents and told them about she has really good friends who care nobody bullies her She's getting counseling now but it's not working fast enough my sister gets checked by my mom to see if she's cutting still like her wrist or legs but she has been cutting many different places to hide it my mom only checks like every 2 months to not herras her about it but she's afriad that she may cut her self to much one and the consoling not work we really didn't want to do this but should we get a doctors medicen for her |

My friend Eve is a sophomore and I'd totally invite her and fill out the form for her to go stating that she's been invited by me, but it's her Mom. Her Mom is claiming that it's not Eve's time, and that she's too young to go and won't let her. The group is going to feel so weird without her with us. I mean freshman are going because they're dating juniors or are friends with them. I just feel so sad for Eve, because she will be the only one in the group not going, and she's going to feel extremely left out. Is there anything I could say to her Mom to maybe get her to consider letting Eve go with us? My other friend's Mom is getting a Limo, paying for professional pictures, getting us dinner at a fancy restaurant and I don't want Eve to be left out. |

He would call me queen. Yesterday he came to see me draw and says "oh no here he comes again" I guess insinuating that I felt he was annoying because earlier in the class he kept talking and I got sleepy and annoyed which I guess he took the wrong way and rolled his eyes at me. But then when he is next to me he starts laughing and joking. Not to mention while he was helping me he started breathing hard out of the blue not sure why it was weird. As I was leaving he tried to strike up conversation too. My homework is never done clearly I'm not a great student but he wants to really help me. I had a bad fall at horseback riding yesterday (for those who ride, my horse ducked out of a jump and I fell over her neck and knocked the entire jump stand down. My right hip took much of the impact) and I'm still really sore, but if I tell people that will just be an excuse for my bad performance. I did really well in a first sprinting heat because I can sprint pretty well, but naturally my coach forgot to time us so he made us run it again, and I did terrible the second time. If I said I am always exhausted after sprinting just one heat, it would be an excuse, and I looks terrible in front of everyone. I also didn't make the high jump once, when I made it perfectly well on Friday. I feel so embarassed because I was so bad today, and I completely made a fool of myself. Should I just push myself even harder tomorrow? I already ran around my neighborhood when I got home to kind of make up for being really bad today. |

Lately, my best friend has been hanging out with the popular girl and her clique. Lets just say that this girl is not the most trustworthy person and because of the way she treated me at the beginning of the year, I do not feel welcome in her clique. Now that my best friend is hanging out with the popular kids, I feel like the outsider. I am a shy kid at a small school where everyone knows everyone so the friend who left me was my only hope of fitting in. Now that my best friend is no longer paying any attention to me, I feel like I'm left out and don't belong. Some people have suggested that I should transfer to another school. Transferring at this point won't help since I'm a senior and am graduating in a couple months. I just want to win my best friend back and feel like I belong at my school. What should I do? Posted: 01 Apr 2015 01:44 PM PDT Basically I'm changing and my parents blame it on my friends and refuse to believe it's cuz I'm growing up. When I was younger I cared WAY too much about my school grades and I was really social and I wouldn't be on my laptop or phone all the time and stuff. But as I got older I learned what I wanted to do when I got older and who I wanted to be. i wanted to be in a pop punk band. I hated crying over getting a stupid B in one class. So I stopped caring so much. I had a few C's in class but I was trying hard so i didn't care much however then my parents blew up at me saying that I clearly didn't care about my grades if I was getting a few C's. I told them I was trying hard in those classes so it didn't bother me. They were still mad asking "Where is my old daughter" and it makes me feel like crap! I went through a lot of rough bullying that started in 1st grade and just got worse so I'm not social but I still have a nice group of friends. But my parents are all like "Why are you shy? I bet it's because your friend is really shy huh? You just want to be like her but you can't" and I got mad and was like "no she isn't even shy. I just don't like socializing" and they got angry! I tried telling them that I'm just growing up and they need to get over it but they refuse to believe it. Then my mom will tell me about how I need to be true to me and be who I am. But she won't let me dye my hair or be the kind of shy girl who wants to be in a band and views school as sort of useless! |
| Question: My best friend started acting like an asshole? Posted: 01 Apr 2015 01:39 PM PDT So I started college and I met a friend. We got along. Never fought. We always understood each other. We even went to Miami during spring break together! But anyway, things are a little rocky now. She started being really pissy to me. Like I ask a question and she gives an answer to it as if everyone in the whole world knows it, and I'm the only one that doesn't ( it's this attitude, it's hard to explain in writing). She also seems to single me out with our other friends and makes me look bad and last time I checked, friends shouldn't want to make your friend look bad. She seems to criticize every little thing I say. For example I told her I want to get a warm vest and she said those look so stupid. I kept telling her I like them and she just kept repeating that they look really dumb and that I'm going to look stupid. It really got on my nerves, but I just couldn't say anything since I was literally so angry. Always whenever she has a dilemma, guess who's up at 2AM helping her out? ME! But whenever I have a problem at home or wherever, she just tells me she has no advice since she has social anxiety....or maybe she will give me advice sometimes (while looking at her phone) and it'll be very shallow advice. Also, we're in the same major and practically the same classes, so we often split up the work. If I work ahead she acts all nice so she gets my answers and then she's back to being her asshole self again. I feel like I'm putting in hell of a lot more work for this friendhsi |

She thought of the idea of us ignoring her all day. I don't know why but I agreed. I noticed my best friend getting upset so I asked the other friend if we can stop cause I felt bad. She said no so we continued ignoring her until lunch time, when I finally said were telling her now this is getting out of hand. We told my best friend and she said she was mad at us for it. We still didnt talk for the rest of the day until i texted my best friend and said that it was a joke i didnt mean to hurt your feelings, but you took it to personally. At first she was never like this, but now she's TOO attached. For example, on Monday I sat on the bus with my other friend. Once we got into class, I tried talking to her and she was all butthurt 'cause I didn't sit on the bus with her so she ignored me for the first period class. Then, just to see if she this would happen again, I sat with another friend AND she was still all upset and what not and didn't talk to me. She told me, "Ugh, why don't you go sit with your new friend." Like she was all jealous (I've actually known the girls that I sat on the bus with longer than I've known her). She also gets upset when I don't text her back and whatever. But here's the crazy thing; we have the SAME classes ALL DAY. Also, when I make plans to hang out with one of the girls that I sat on the bus with, she gets all quiet and won't talk to me for like 20 minutes. So, how can I tell her I don't want her to be so attached or how can I just let her off easy and end the friendship? |
