Weddings: Question: Is letting out a BM dress one size a big deal? |
Question: Is letting out a BM dress one size a big deal? Posted: 20 Mar 2018 03:12 PM PDT Do these shops do exchanges once dresses come in? I wish I followed my gut and ordered a larger size but my sizing was in between two smaller sizes than what I am normally and I just listened to the lady. I'm already thin and don't need to lose any more weight and actually have welcomed my weight increase. But I'm kind of nervous about the BM dress. We ordered months ago and still waiting. I am guessing it is exactly 1 size too small. I read online that to let out a dress they just take the hem (and there will be plenty as I'm sort of short) and use that to fill in the sides. It's got lacy detail and I think that will hide the fact it was let out and not look frankensteined. Is this how all dresses are let out? I only read this one place. I have been a bridesmaid once before and I could have sworn they made everyone order 1 size up to avoid this. I think it's smart because I feel like everyone needs alterations anyway. |
