I had a friend for about two who treated me horribly. She used me, made fun of me, and usually just generally wasn't nice to me. I began to pull away from her this year, and I found new friends, who aren't that much better, but I'm much happier than I would be if I stayed friends with her. However, she's becoming friends with all of my friends. I feel she's trying to take them away from me. Her current friends talk about her treating them lile garbage, but she treats my friends perfectly fine. One of my friends talked to me and said that she was worries about me because I was "acting weird" and "dropping out of activities." I have anxiety and depression and she always belittled me for it. I tried to go to her but she always dismissed me. Both my depression and anxiety have been getting worse (I've started cutting), and she is "sad that I can't come to her anymore." She doesn't understand that she's part of the reason I feel like this. She's tried to talk to me, and I try my hardest to act normal around her. I feel like I'm being immature by not being friends with her, but I don't want to get hurt again. What should I do?

In a couple months my school is going to DC and we picked groups. After we picked our groups and submitted the forms they talked about bringing alchohol and a juul (vape). I told them I don't want to do it and they said that they wouldn't make me. I'm nervous that they are going to actually bring them and what should I do? If I don't tell I could get in trouble for doing nothing but if I do then they might get mad at me.

I ve been friends with this girl since we were both about 5, we re 15 now. We have 2 other friends as well now, I would consider them my best friends. I should also add that she has a few other friends who I know she acts totally differently around. For about a year or two now I ve seen a change in my friend, and it s made me want to end things with her. The reasons being, she always takes her moods and personal problems out on me and my other friends. She gets super stressed about school work, and has some issue with her family though she makes everything sound worse than it actually is. I ve offered to try and help her out as much as I can as have my other friends, but she s never listened over the last year. It seems everyday she comes into school moody and takes it all out on us. Another reason is, she always shouts and attacks my other friend whenever that friend says something that she doesn t agree with or like. My other friend is never horrible or purposely trying to argue. Its so bad that awhile ago we confronted her about this and she said she would try and fix their friendship. Since they were supposed to be friends, it never felt like it. But alas she never changed a thing about how she treated my other friend. Other things like, we all feel like we re walking on eggshells around her seeing as she would lash out at the slightest thing.

We're 3 sisters and we go to the same university and we live in a dormitory, me and my elder sister stay in the same room while my younger sister stays alone in another room.The problem is that my sister has congestive heart failure and she needs some one to look after her, she needs some one to check on her everyday at night and make sure she takes her medicine on time, she doesn't like the idea of being over caring towards her and I don't like it too, but I'm forced to do that ! I mean she takes literally my whole time ! She's tired all the time and have difficulty breathing, she causes me a lot of problems ! I know she's sick and she's my sister but I can't take it, I mean I have my own life to look after. It's not like she depends on me but I feel like she's my responsibility and I have to take care of her because I'm her elder sister, she goes to the doctor and takes medicine by herself but I feel guilty not to take her of her. My other sister doesn't even bother to help or do anything .I mean she should not attend university at all. My father isn't even responsible and my mom passed away. I'm just fed up with her ! We try to avoid her sometimes (We go have lunch without her, we go shopping without her cause she can't walk without needing to stop ) she's been hospitalized twice this month ,she doesn't eat at all, she's unconscious half of the time ! What should I do? Do I have to tell my sisters to take some of the responsibility or stop worrying about her and leave her?

My friend makes offensive jokes a lot, it'spart of his humor type. But I've told him once that I don't like this unless he's either using it to cope with something or trying to express an opinion. But lately, the jokes have just been used randomly like any other joke. But I don't wanna tel him cuz I fear that one day I'll end up doing/saying something that will offen him, something he told me before that offended him n I'd have forgotten and then I'll be a hypocrite. Should I talk to him anyways?

My 2 friends say they're switching schools next year. One says because "cyber school has less work" (but it doesn't, it's worse than public school. I've done it.) The other won't tell me why. I do have other friends but I don't believe it'll last (the friendship) because they're friends with the kids who bullied me and two other girls last year. I'm a freshman in HS at the moment. I'm panicking. I have social anxiety very bad and won't have anyone to sit with at lunch or during breakfast. My mom won't let me switch schools or be home schooled no matter what. There's even a college prep school near us and she won't let me go there.

So My friend has the type of humor that has many offensive jokes. For example, suicide, racism, even wishing death and despair for others' loved ones as a joke. I find these very offensive and I even told him that one day. But I have an exception and I'm not sure if this exception is ok or not. The exception is when the person is using jokes like these to cope with some problem or uses them as a way of expressing opinion. For example, drugs are bad. I once made a joke to myself saying that "people sell death". and I laughed at it. I even followed it up further by saying, "people sell cancer happily and live life knowing that they're sleeping well". Yes it's exaggerated cuz I know a person who hated the time they had a job like that. The problem is that my frend keeps making the jokes but it doesn't seem to be expressing any type of opinion or showing any type of coping 2any problem It just seems like random jokes. Is the exeception ok? Is it bad that I don't want to talk to him about this because then I'll accidentally do something that offends him that he told me about before, so I'll be a hypocrite?

Like wherever I go I just hate everyone I meet. I have about 7 close friends and we hang out all the time, but I hate all my family and never talk to them. I think the problem is me, what do I do?

I'm 36 and love to workout but hate sports. Hate our government. Love marijuana and lsd instead of alcohol. I play with my action figures and legos in between video games and cartoons. Employed and have 2 degrees. At my age I can enjoy being a kid and not have to watch out for strangers. Legos are cool too. "Growing up" is for weak minds. I love my life like the twilight zone episode Kick The Can. Being married must suck since it takes time away from myself lol.

We're basically best friends, we talk to each other all the time. I started having feelings for him due to his personality and his sense of humor. On Thursday, our school had a half day, during our pep rally I was talking about how close my friend and I are. I later mentioned him being my best friend and one of my favorite people. He asked that if it's okay with me, we can be friends with benefits. Is this a bad thing? I said yes, I was really excited and hoping to be more than friends with benefits gradually. Is this a good thing?

I'm into a lot of nerdy stuff, like games, anime, and such. My parents are fine with that, and they support me. I really like to talk about that stuff with them, since not all of my friends talk about it, and they can tell how excited they get when I am talking. Despite this, they seem uninterested, and try to change the subject. I have been trying to get them to try this stuff (For example, I attempted to get my dad to play some of my games) but they always tell me they are busy, even if it isn't true. Lately, I haven't been talking about it as much because I know they won't care. This really hurts me, since I just want them to understand. What, if anything, should I do? I try to listen to them about their stuff, and do what I can to be helpful. I am not asking for them to be obsessed with it like I am, I just want to have some common ground. I also understand people don't like this stuff, and it's weird and stupid, but I just want help.

So there's a concert called SMTown that's happening at 6th of April here in Dubai, and I have no one to go with :( is it embarrassing or pathetic to ask a friend that already has friends to go with, to go with you because you have no one to go with? cause I feel like they already have someone to go with and if I ask them they will think "she doesn't have any friends to go with?".. It's true tho I don't have any friends to go with...

I made plans with a friend I met around the beginning of the school year so I don'tknow her very well. We made plans to see a movie at 6. I thought she had her own ride from her parents (she can't drive, I have my license), she texted me this morning saying blantently "you need to give me a ride". She doesn't ask "hey can you give me a ride". I personally hate when people do this without asking, I think it isn't extremely rude. She has done this before the last time we hung out and before we were supposed to leave to go home she tells me "you needn't to give me a ride". Is this a bad quality in a friend I just met?

If there is anybody terrible at picking up at cues, that would be me. For one, two twins have moved in my community, just about five months a go from Waterport, Ireland. They introduced themselves to me and say hi each time. They continued this for about three months, but then thè brunette approached me yesterday, as I was fixing my vehicle tire. There was mild damage to it, but I was trying to be cautious, but the brunette saw me, initiated a conversation and then tried to grab my left arm, she couldn't wrap her left hand around it entirely and then she complimented the size of my biceps. I just assumed this was normal, playful behavior, but then she asked to exchange contact information. So I gave her my number, should I ask her out?

So two people who I was once friends with decided they wanted to block me on Facebook. I had no idea why I was blocked and when I tried asking both of them, they wouldn't answer me. So I had someone they know ask on my behalf and she sent a screen shot of one of them saying why. She basically said that they were done with me, they didn't want to deal with my crap and that it was always the same drama with me. But I haven't done anything wrong so the reasons make no sense. I haven't really talked to either one of them other than about the weather and me having the flu. I don't talk bad about them to others and I don't write statuses on social media about them, either. It really hurt that I was blamed because they've always blamed me for everything. They never think they do anything wrong. In the past year or so I've rarely seem them. I thought we were all friends at one point and then they just started making excuses for why they "couldn't" see me. They always said availability and transportation was an issue, but we all live nearby one another and these aren't issues for them. Any time I tried talking to them about how it made me sad that they really wouldn't talk to me or hang out with me, they were dismissive and acted annoyed. I wanted to be civil with them and I was accepting they didn't want my friendship. I deleted photos and such so it would help me let go that way it wouldn't hurt that they wouldn't be my friends. It's been a week and they won't talk to me.

This girl in my Year is really annoying and thinks everything is about her? I transferred into school in November and I'm good in Arabic and math and Islamic, in Arabic our teacher asked us to record ourselves reading a story and upload it on this app to get housepoints and he'd give us feedback to improve our reading I'm a good reader in Arabic and she got jealous and started making more and more videos so I did the same cuz I wanna be careful ye best student, she got so mad that I'm making more vids than her so I can "get More housepoints". Anyways, she starts talking behind my back. I ignored it and she stopped then in math our teacher put her me and my friend on one table but she was in the middle and I wanted to be next to my friend. I was talking to my friend and moving my hand as in "get closer" cuz I was telling her something private and she came in class while I was moving my hand and looked at me and said "listen if u hate me that much just tell me" and pumped into my bag and sat away from us. (We had an empty seat in table) she thinks everything is about her and that she is queen. Every time she comes by and we're whispering or talking to her old "friend" she comes over and says something like "why do you always talk about me?" Or "* her old friend's name* I wanna talk to u in private." And tells her to leave us cuz we're fake drama queens. I wanna tell her that she doesn't control us. What should I say? How do I deal with her?

What I do? I turn off the mobile phone and study while I am at home, so probably my friends will think that he doesn't care. But it's not soo. Also I don't have any social media accounts. So probably my friends will think that he doesn't care. I am also not active in Groups so they probably think that he doesn't care. But from the heart, I am not selfish. But when other people see they see me selfish. How can I get rid of this?

My best friend is starving herself this is the 3rd time she has done this, she going through a lot of **** with her OCD and coming to terms with her past. Her mum asked me to make sure she eats but do I force her to and what do i do if she doesn't! I want to cry I feel so useless, I want her to be ok and she isn't she has councillibg but she hasn't told her counciller she started starving again!! Please suggest something

I have this "bestfriend." Weve been friends for 10 years now. At this point I've made a life and career, live with my boyfriend, and she's just kinda floating around doing nothing for society or herself. Smokes drinks etc and hangs out with the same bad crowd from high school lives with her mom. We're 23 btw. Whenever I hangout with her we go out drink and have late nights. I'm trying to stay away from this kind of old habits I had but that's what she brings out. Anyhow... we've had some falling outs through the years and end up rekindling the friendship but at this rate I just feel as though I don't even want to associate with her anymore... here's what happened: I'm laying down for sleep with my boyfriend about 11 o clock at night she calls a lot and I'm ignoring because I'm about to go to sleep. She keeps calling and eventually texts me that I MUST call back, so I assume it's important. Turns out her friend is getting arrested (bad crowd from high school) and she has some illegal substance over there as well and wants to COME STAY AT MY PLACE hoping to avoid I guess being arrested. I say no I'm going to sleep calm down get some rest and come over in the morning... like adults should be doing? Anyway I know she will tell me how bad of a friend I am for not letting her stay at my place, like everytime when we fight and to her I'm a bad friend for something. I just don't even care at this point. I kind of want to give up completely and let her figure her stuff out alone.

Hi im a girl and I have a friend who is also a girl, but I cannot for the life of me tell how she feels about me as a friend. So I really like her and really like being friends with her. But, she sends me mixed signals about how she feels about me though. Like whenever I see her around unexpectedly and stop to talk to her and hug her, she would seem like not that enthusiastic about seeing me and like wouldn't really hug me back. But the thing is, she's hugged me before so it's not like she hates physical contact I don't think? It's just like really awkward, but like also when we do hang out together (pre-planned hangout), she would always tell me how she wants to do all these cool things with me and hang out more with me. It seems like she does like being with me but also she acts weird around me sometimes? Please please tell me some of your ideas I'm so confused, thank you!

We're not sisters nor are we related. She's a better friend than most people my own age. I'm in Canada so she can do things I'm not suppose to do till I'm 19 but it's all cool. This girl is still awesome and is the best.

My enemy was my former friend. We got into a fight when she started accusing me of things that I didn't do and she's incredibly stubborn so she can't see the truth. We were never really close, she was always fake towards me and loved seeing me fail. She's still in my friend group and i still have to sit with her at lunch. And she's turning my friends against me. She always bribes my friends with food and other stuff so they talk to her and not me. It honestly hurts so much. Last week she said that I'm better off dead so I don't ruin more people's lives and I'm starting to believe her.
