My mother and I are from a different country and have been here for 6 years. The family member and her son that we have been living with have been unpleasant since we've been here. We are poor and live in a bad neighborhood. My mom quickly tried to get a job when she got here but it was low paying, and she had to ride the bus. (left at 5 a.m. got home at 7p.m. got a car about a year and a half after) so I baby sit my brother for two years and asked only for $80/month to buy food because I was underweight to enlist. I walked him to school everyday because it was a bad area and I wanted him safe, made sure he did his home work. He's made honor roll every year. I joined the military after 3 years and deployed, got home bought a car, went to school while working at Publix and I'm about to graduate and land a well paying job. For the the last 6 years and especially when she had a car and I was taking my brother to school I told her to go to school to get a better paying job that is less strenuous. For six years she's ignored me and still does. My plan was that, since I'm baby sitting my brother, that she has time to go to school (at day and work at night) and when she's done, I'd go to school. I told her that I'd take custody of my brother so that he could go to the good school in my area but she feels that I should let her move in with me even though she has ignored all my advice to better herself. Am I supposed to feel guilty after she's ignored me?

I'm 27 and still live with my parents. They always keep pushing me to go to college or trade school or even the military. The thing is that I like living a basic life. I like to smoke pot (have for over 10 years) and do it every weekend with my friends. I work part time at retail and fast food jobs (I usually get fired or asked to leave after about a year because of failed drug tests). I give my parents $300 a month for rent. I get everything else free. I like the way it is and don't want it to change. Yesterday my parents sat me down and told me I must move out by the end of the month. I find this outrageous since I give them money and generally don't cause problems. They said they want their own life and for me to be independent. What rights do I have as a renter or even family member so that I can stay?

Live in girlfriend and i was arguing last night and went to bed mad. This is what i text her this morning. Me: I understand you don't care for me and probably don't want to talk to me right now but regardless the world will not stop for us so I was wondering what time is Abby's orchestra concert so I know what time to leave work Her: She has to be there at 6:30 and it starts at 7. do whatever you want I'm leaving the house at 6

I pretty much have a free ride for college because I got a lot of scholarships. The only thing that I have to pay for is books and food and my job pays for that so dad can not say that I am wasting his money. I turn 21 on the 10th.

My mom had me in 2002. She had alot of issues with my dad so she never really let him see me at all. Last time i saw my father was in 2004. So I live with my mom and stepfather now and my little brother. My little brother was born in 2008 and my stepdad is his biological father. Ever since he was born they've been mean to me. My stepfather used to abuse me when I was younger. I remember he took me in the closet and slapped me around a few times cause I didnt give my little brother some chips when he was a baby. My mom did nothing about the abuse. She treats my lil bro great. Shes been saying ill never be anything in life. Always telling me im gomna fail my grade. They have family time and go out together they leave me in the house. I ask to get haircuts snd she never gives me the money for it but when my little brother needs one she gets it for him. Sometimes it makes me think of suicide but I really dont want to kill myself because of all the plan things I have in life. My real dad never really got the chance to get in touch with me because he didnt know my moms number and we moved all the way across the country and he didnt know about it. He lost everything even my birth papers because my mom had everything. My stepfather trys so hard to be my Biological that he signed papers as biological when hes not and my mom let him. My mom thinks om gonnna end up in jail to. What should i do?

Been doing this for about a month-and-a-half now baby mama yells at me whn she can t get sleep but yet I only get 4 hours of sleep at night I kind of need some help she watches TV all day and let s baby sleep in her bed and she s tire? she feeds her and changes her and she leaves in the bed. I help her as much as i can but I feel like she isn t doing her part. I might be tripping, any suggestions? Any one with a similar problem male or female?

So I work in a convenient store and every morning this weird guy who walks awkward and wears a hat comes in every morning. This guy actually stares at me for minutes at a time, I thought I was paranoid, but one of my friends came in and noticed the same thing. Also after this guy leaves the store he waits in his car for 30 min before leaving. He doesn't say anything and is really creepy. I'm scared and I don't know what to do.

My mother recently divorced my step father, she keeps asking me about it but I literally do not care in the slightest. The entire family told her it wouldn t last 4 years .. and we were right ... It lasted 2 years .. I know I sound like an a$$hole but I don t want her to get depressed over a simple sack of $hit.

Well i am almost 25 and i am a tomboy and always have been. I have autism and he was yelling and cussing at me and i was crying and he wouldn't stop and told me that i need to toughen up because i am a tomboy. He has been a jerk to me and my mom and me for almost a week now. I said i wish i was dead so I don't have to see you again before this all happened and he said under his breath that he wishes i were when i said i wish i was dead. Makes me so sad. I am not mentally capable of living on my own and i get SSD and have a part time job at pizza hut. My mom is my legal guardian and has me live with her because she doesn't want me being with a program because of abuse. He loves his friends,nascar and his stepson which is my half brother but not me. He is always not to him and nice to me when they are around. My dad likes to pick fights with me even when i try to ignore him and then he yells at me. I help pay all the bills here and i do my best to help around the house. So i am not a bumb. He also told me and my mom that nascar is more important than us. Even though it was her birthday yesterday.

I m currently 16 and my mom has been having a lot of health issues and I think she ll be passing away soon honestly. My girlfriend told my mom and she said I can live with her if that were to happen. Am I allowed to have my girlfriend s mom become my guardian or do I have to go with my dad? If anyone is wondering why I don't want to be with my dad he's was extremely abusive as a kid.

I know I ask way too many questions about my Mother, but it's because She drives me crazy. My friends find Her behavior to even indicate that She may be jealous of my accomplishments. She is a narcissistic person, dramatic, close minded, and controlling. To the point She tells people that come over to help me(aides) what I can and cannot watch on television! Luckily I start working again tomorrow after having a stroke 5 years ago.

All this started about when I was 5 or 6. My whole family was very close and we would all stay at my grandma's for holidays and for a couple weeks in the summer. I have 3 cousins and one sister. My sister, the girl cousins, and I would always hangout, but the male cousin would usually hangout by himself. He was 14 when he started to do this to me. Sometimes I would watch TV in the bedroom I was sleeping in by myself. He would walk in and put his arm around me, making me feel sort of uncomfortable but I just thought it was something cousins do. A couple months later, I started to get more uncomfortable on what he did to me and sometimes put his hand up my shirt and started to feel my chest. when I was about 8 and he was 16, things were at their worst. I not only still did the same stuff from earlier, but tried to put his hands down my shorts. The moment he did, I pretended I had to throw up and ran to the bathroom. Now, with me being 13 and him 21, he still comes in my bedroom sometimes and puts his arms around me and feels my chest. What should I do? I don't want to tell my family members about this because I don't want to break up my family and have them blame it on me.

I simply told her that many jobs are becoming automated and the robots are replacing human workers, specifically talking about factory jobs. She immediately responded by saying that's a lazy and accused me of wanting that to happen so I don't have to work. She actually managed to turn a fact/statement into accusing me of being lazy and wanting that to happen. I tried to explain to her that it's a real life problem that will put many people out of work, because employers save money by automating jobs instead of paying people. She said she lives in the real world, and doesn't understand that stuff (she also financially depends on her husband). Not believing it doesn't upset me, being accused of being lazy and wanting this to happen pisses me off. She says hard labor is the way to success (and yet, complains about her job and doesn't even make $20,000 a year), but included copaying for life with her husband, and quoting the Bible about fruits of labor. I told her the government and the corporations are in charge of everything, not the Bible. My mom just thinks I'm a lazy, delusional, sci-fi crazy person. She managed to turn my fact of life into accusing me of being lazy and actually WISHING for automation to put people out of work. I regret bringing it up, I'm going to try to get my step dad to explain it to her so I don't look crazy, or at least less crazy. I told her automation of jobs is even older than self driving cars, which she also thought was sci-fi and now that doesn't like them knowing that they're real (THEY'RE SAFER!) Employers DO RATHER have robots do jobs for a fraction of the cost, than have to pay human workers, which DOES make sense from a business point of view, since business purpose is to make profits. My mom does not get the world, and accuses me of living in a fantasy world. She said she doesn't have time to read the news because she always works, plenty of full-time workers keep up though.

My parents are visiting my grandma in the hospital tonight. He's coming over and we have the house alone. Im an only child so no siblings around either. They dont know about this visit, but im making a simple dinner and watching a movie together. I'll clean up and spray the whole place before they come back at midnight so they don't know
