I used to be really open wth friends and family and even when I started a business, I was very open about what was working and what was not. However, that became a problem because than I was asked to help 24/7 with their business and I realized it was my fault because I am the one who spoke about it. I also don't tell them my weekend plans because than they want to go or start making rude comments about my friends. I learned that not saying everything is one of the best decisions to make. Do you feel this same way? Control what you say!

Have u ever met someone like this: They act like they're "better than" others, by insulting and mistreating others--bullying, basically. And yet: They have NOTHING to back up their arrogance?? No talent, no skills, no accomplishment?!?!! Also, they don't even have a good personality? Not even smart, fun, or even the most basic good trait of all: Nice?? I've realized: it's BECAUSE they don't have any of those qualities, that these people BECOME arrogant. They have to DEMAND "respect", cuz they can't earn it the honest way. Thoughts?? Experiences? Do u agree or not?

I'm a boy in 8'th grade and there are certain girls that (try to) get in the way of my everyday life. I don't get it. I'm a pretty nice kid, and I'm polite. I didn't do anything to them, yet they're always mean to me for no reason at all. I confronted them one time and they said, "When do I bully you? I don't even talk to you!" Sometimes I wonder if it's cuz I'm short. But one of them is short too. I wonder if it's cuz I'm ugly, but half of them already are😂 I also wonder if it's cuz I'm fat, but the meanest one is also the fattest one. I just wanna know why. Pls help me.

I am 30 years old, and I have pretty bad social anxiety, and can barely leave my house. I have tried many times to find people to talk to online, but they seem to want nothing to do with me. I have (as an experiment) made fake profiles, and then lots of people want to talk to me, but I don't want that. I want people to want to talk to the real me. Plus, no one seems to want to talk to someone that's older than 19, and guys usually want to talk about sex, which I don't. Why would anyone want to talk about something so personal with a complete stranger? I will never understand that.

No person automatically changes a LOT within two months. We start high school as 8th graders in Canada. Nobody was using foul language the year before, then it started once high school did. Young girls did not wear revealing clothes as much then, but it became more common once high school hits. Our old schools didn't have dress codes against that, it's just that most people weren't interested. The average 7th grader probably has a similar mindset to an 8th grader. So why would there be a jump in their behaviours once high school starts - seemingly more influenced by media?

For several years my neighbor and I have lived next to each other. She's a single woman in her thirties. She's not been the friendliest neighbor. She has an attitude and can be feisty. I've always thought of her as a snobby emotional and rude woman. One of my other neighbors knows her and says that she has done an enormous amount of charity work and has helped many orphans in impoverished countries. That she has saved the lives of many children. And that she has a big heart. I was surprised to hear this because she comes off as a very intense and snobby person. If she really is a good person why does she come off as if she's not?

In the past few months, my best friend and I grew pretty close. I thought she was someone I could talk to about anything and just hang out with whenever. In the past few weeks, we went through a pretty big fight and both said somethings back and forth. She basically asked for me to pick between her and some other friends, and I told her if she was a real friend then she wouldn't make me choose. Then we stopped talking and hanging out as much. It ended with us staying friends but deciding it would be best if we weren't as close. But now she acts so different, and I get that she's moved on but I haven't and I don't know how, especially when it's so hard to see her everyday in school (I'm in highschool) and I miss her very much. Should I tell her that I want to be close again? But I don't see how I can do that when I was the first one to say we shouldn't be as close anymore. Should I move on, how? Any advice?

So there are these two boys from my middle school they keep showing up to my house and asking me to walk around with them. These boys live in the neighborhood about 1 mile away from my neighborhood. I have no idea how they know where i live. They were poking around my house at 8:30 this morning my sister said. When they came to my house today and asked me to hang out with them, one of them rang the doorbell while the other was "too scared to even show up to the door" my mom answered the door and the boy said is Abby here? My mom said yes she's here and called me to the door i came and he said annabel will you walk with me and Jason he's too scared to come to the door. i said uhhh i just got back from a run and i'm about to go out so not now. I feel really uncomfortable around them i try to stay away from them but they keep talking to me at school, I don't even want to talk or hang out with them what should i do? Could this be harassing?

He is the fun captain where he organizes events for the office. I want to try my hand at embarrassing him in calling for a vote for impeachment on various charges based on his past conduct as fun captain. Do you think that's a fun and also good thing to do to my friend?

Last few weeks was a decent great week but this week has been utter crap. Have no idea if its just me but i seemed to distance from some of my friends, became really sad. Cried twice, tried to tell friends about problems but their replies weren t the best nor they cheer me up much. Just need a listening ear but everyone seems to not care about me.

My friends that have slept with the most people are ugly/desperate and then become angry when I do the same thing. Obviously they have no morals or a conscience and lie and backstab people too. I really do not care about this "friend" I had who talks so much sh*t about everyone and sleeps with everyone, and guys that have girlfriends. She is so gross and ugly and I don't want to be friends with her because I don't want to be so desperate and weird like her. I texted her a bunch angry, and I am so stupid I did not realize she obviously just wants to stir up more drama and loves it. She is super annoying and has no boundaries because she is on molly and cocaine and is best friends with weird cokeheads I would never want to be involved with.

Okay soo I go get my haircut every two weeks and there's this guy who works there and he stares at me and looks at me every time I get my hair cut I close my eyes and sometimes he's still staring I think he's married and has kids but why would he stare at me What does it all mean

Now I do realize that this sounds very racist, which is not my aim, so please hear me out. In the last year I have lost a lot of friends. Much of it is just life. My friends circle has always been diverse. I've had arab friends, polish friends, filipino friends, brazilians and so on. Some I've known for 10+ years and it's always worked fine. But when push comes to shove most of them are with their own people, for lack of a better term. Lately I lost a very good friend of mine who is from Iraq. I don't know what happened. 90 percent of his other friends are other Arabs. I'm bosnian so we don't share a language or a culture together. I just noticed that most of my friends have me and their other polish, brazilian, filipino, or whatever friends. Now I kind of regret not investing more time to be with other bosnians and other old Yugoslavian people. Maybe at the end of the day people go back to what is familiar and what is "home", no matter where in the world they are. Is that how it is for most people or is that just my experience?

Who is right and wrong between me and my friend? Me and my friend are both 25, we've been friends from secondary school. He's quite serious about being successful in life and does music, car mechanics and does productive things to make money. He's self employed. I've got a full time job 9-5 weekdays and have been done this for 2 years now since graduating from university. I'm quite happy with my 9-5 but my friend always pushes me to do more after work instead of go home and relax or see friends. I had a quiet childhood and only started going clubbing properly around 23. I've been going nearly every week for the past year and he keeps telling me that I'm wasting time and I should focus on life instead of clubbing every week. He's been through more than me and is probably more advanced in life than me but he's trying to bring me along too but I still enjoy clubbing and dancing on the dance floor. Who is right and wrong here? Is he being too mean and should stop trying to control me as we're only friends or am I really wasting time clubbing every 1/2 weeks? Also, although I started clubbing late, is 25 too old to be clubbing?

Have only ever had one really. Turned to drugs and hasn't really ever been the same. What am I doing wrong?

My parents are pretty controlling. Don't give me wrong. They give me a place to stay, a car and they pay my phone bill. I don't have to worry much. But every time I come home it's like a whole weight on my shoulders.they judge me completely. I can't go out with any of the friends that I have known for years, I have to come back on time no matter how old I am and I can't bring anybody I want over, or just date anybody and go out with them alone. They threatened to take my car if I go out with my friends because they are a "bad influence". They have caught me smoking weed a couple times and say that I am addicted and need help. and they don't want it around me or the house. So basically they want to control my whole life. I have been through a lot in life and smoking weed and chilling with my friends is my escape. Marijuana literally cured my depression from the trauma that occurred in the last 3 years. I just go to school , chill with my friends, go home and Work sometimes. and I want to finish school but they threaten to take my car (witch is under my dads name) and disconnect my phone if I decide to leave. But it makes me more stubborn. I don't want to be controlled or live under their rules. But I need advice. This has been on my for a while now. I don't have a job and won't have a car. I do have a place to stay but I'm not sure how I can come up enough from having everything to nothing. But I rather have nothing and some peace of mind than everything and total chaos.

My life is taking a miserable turn... My life in school has fallen apart as my friends have turned their backs on me, I'm jealous of my popular friends for getting fame, and pretty much everyone in school hates my guts because I did something stupid last year. The only people who accept me are outcasts like me Burbank here so arrogant and like weird things that disgust me. I try to be nice to them though. I hate everyone in my school and I feel like I am going explode. I try so hard to get people to know I'm a nice person which obviously failed. But I feel like all my efforts are wasted and I'm ready ready to lash out.

So I just told my friend for a second time (the first time she helped me get through it) that I may get pulled from a play we're doing. I said that my mom threatened to take me out and she put it in quotes saying afterwards so you're still in it now. Is she mad at me? Annoyed? Does she not care about me?

I'm 15 years old. This person stopped speaking to me when she realized that I reveal painfully true things about her to my friends at school. Brutally honest much? No, I was telling them to my other friends. I need a grown adult to confront her that she is selfish. My parents won't do it for me. They say that they had a tiring work day, that they have no business getting into teenage drama. She will just ignore me and my friends, but it would be taken more seriously if an adult confronted her.
