I am 14 years old and I have never been a normal teenager, I have been home schooled my entire life and I was isolated in my room for most of my life, I moved to a public school 2 months ago and I really like it because I finally made friends, I have never had a friend before this. I feel happier and more social now. It feels great. My friends always ask me if I can hangout after school but my parents say no, they say that's it's too dangerous in the real world but we live in a good area, we live in a safe gated community. All of my friends live in the community too, which is good. My parents tell me "we want the old you back, maybe it was a mistake putting you into school". They basically want me to be in my room all day doing nothing. I was suicidal and depressed back then but not anymore. What should I do? Should I just sneak out? Lol because these people are crazy.

My grandmas daughter die of cancer at age 50. The whole family was watching her in her house during her last final moments. It was such a heartbreaking escene. My grandma is 84 and she is so sad. She says she cant live without her and cries everything that reminds her of her daughter. What can I do to make her feel better and What could I tell her.

My mom is 47 and she has 4 children in all. I'm the oldest (25) and I'm employed. My younger brothers are 10 and 11. She has not worked in years and she expects family to give her money for food instead of just working for it. She's going through a divorce and is trying to take him for everything he has . She wants more child support so she won't have to work. There are times where she has no food in the house for her and my brothers but will she work? No! She will ask me and my grandma for 20 dollars. She has a car but barely has money for gas. I feel bad for not giving in sometimes and not giving her money because my brothers need to eat!!! I feel so bad . How can I make her get a job ????

She won't let me have the holidays cause she is mad at my Dad about the divorce. She lets me have it with her but it is awful not to see my Dad and she only lets me see him on 4th of July and days that are not holidays. She even won't let me on Father's Day cause she says he is not much of a father and that my grandfather (her father) is the one who loves me like a son. So she makes me see her father on Father's Day instead of mine. I am 14 and I hate holidays and am dreading Easter already. How do I fix the pain? My Dad is not much help as he says he is done fighting with her. My Mom won't let me have joy on the holidays I guess to get my Dad back since he remarried 2 years ago (they divorced almost 8 years ago).

So my moms cousins son was driving us here and there and all over town and when it was over my mother invited him up to our apartment to rest and drink some water or eat something because he had been driving us for like 3 hours in the heat without any rest. She insisted but he kept refusing! He's the same age as me and single (23). Was he scared I was gonna jump him or something? He's the size of the door and we're tiny.

Please someone help me. My brother is 15 and for a year now he's had violent outbursts toward when something doesn't go his way. He wrecks the house shouts and threatens to hit my mum. My mum will stand up to him and all of that but he doesn't get it. He very arrogant and I do believe he deeply insecure but I fear for my mums safety. I'm scared he'll attack her or I don't now. I'm 17 and I will go back on forth with him when he tried disrespect my mum but my mum doesn't want me getting involved. I want him to leave the house I want something to be done even my mum said he needs help. What can we do. I have video recording of his outburst and the school also knows he's violent cuz he's aggtessive at school too. If I call the police on him what can they actually do. I don't know what to do. Personally I think he has a mental illness but he think the way he acts is normal. What can I do please it's stressing my mum and I can't live with someone like this in my house.

I have a feeling she may be. I know it sounds wrong and unlikely for a mother to be jealous of her own daughter. I am more attractive than her, even when she was younger. I have an older sister and she's less attractive and never dated anyone. But she treats my older sister better even though my older sister curses and swears at her all day and has even gotten violent towards her. She treats my sister better even though I respect my mom more than her. When I do something wrong, she constantly attacks me for it but if my sister does the same thing, she doesn't make a big deal about it. It seems like no matter what I do, my mom will always start conflict with me and find fault with me. She puts me down all the time. Whenever anyone compliments me, she'll talk down on the compliment. I told her i'm getting a job orientation next week and she said 'you'll never make it'. What kind of a mom would do that? Whenever I wear a new outfit, she'll ask 'is that my outfit?' even though its not even her outfit! She'll go off on tangents and make up lies about me and start arguments about things that aren't even true. She would always try to make me fat by trying to encourage me to get fat and buy junk or unhealthy foods. Whenever she sees someone attractive, she always tried to criticize them by saying 'she's ugly or she's a hooker'.

For example, the majority of 6th graders who wore cropped tops and had smartphones were the middle or youngest kids. It was a small town so I knew their families, even if we're not friends. At age 11, parents thought it was inappropriate. No child should be sexualized or partying out at night, etc. I'm not trying to generalize, but this seems true... there definitely were firstborns in that group and from different environments too, but less compared to younger siblings.

Well is step son is also my half brother because we have a different dad and same mom. Well last year in August he just invited him and my brother to go to Las Vegas this March to go see a nascar race. Well so I went with them and my mom to go to Las Vegas and we did are own thing. Well,I don't like nascar anyways. I'm a female with mild autism and I going to be 25 in a month and a half. Well he said he is never going to Vegas again. Well he invited his friend to go to fly to Las Vegas to go to a nascar race. I am not invited. Hurts so much that he never ever has invited to take me and just him on vacation. But my brother and his friends. Like my dad spend lots of money on my brother lately. But not me. Like my dad won't like seriously do anything with me. He leaves it up to my mom even though my dad is the certified Family Housing person. He leaves my mom up to do everything. He told my mom before I moved home he would do more with me now that I am home he won't. He denies that he ever said that. My dad will say something and then when I talk to him about it he gets mad,yells,or tells me that he never said that. Like 3 or 4 days ago he was saying something like that my friend he likes more or thanks she is better than me. Hurts so much. Because my dad has been mostly a jerk to me since then. Like real lippy with me. He told me not to get lippy with me. But he is the one that does it first. My brother came over today for dinner for my mom's birthday because it is tomorrow. He won't go to lunch with us because of his nascar and he says it can't wait. Even though he can record it. Makes me so sad!!! Because she is more important than TV!!! :(. My dad is so much nicer to my brother than he is me and it hurts so much. But if I say anything to him he will yell at me and probably deny it too. I can't really get my dad to do anything with me. Very rarely will he take me anywhere except maybe to the convenient store. But he will make me pay for it. Other wise I go without. Like if I go to walmart he will want me to use my own money,hurry and him stay out in the car. He started giving me a allowance which was his idea completely. Well he doesn't give me my full allowance or that day because he told me it is past the time limit already after I cleaned my room. If he does give me money when I ask for it and buy something and I ask him for my allowance he says he already gave it to me. Which is only 10 dollars a week. I honestly think that is why he gave me allowance so he never has to give me money. He does buy me food but I am trying to lose weight. They only way I get my dad to stop being mean to me and mocking me and that is to die when my dog does from old age. SERIOUS ANSWERS PLEASE!!!!

So I am a guy and I know it was stupid but two days ago my parents caught me smoking a cigarette. My parents freaked out and what's worse is that they might tell my older brothers and they are super protective and possibly worse than my parents. Like one time I only had one beer and my older brother did not like the idea of me touching alcohol and started lecturing me on hw it was wrong for me growing up a Christian to be smoking and drinking and partying. I am not some rebel child since I have a 3.5 gpa in school right now but they act so hard on me when I do party. One time my older brother hit me for mouthing off to him and as he put it being disrespectful. Also my older brothers and my dad were all smokers and drinkers so why are they freaking out over me.

So my mom is 29 and she just got a tattoo of a bird on her arm and she died her hair half pink I say mom why you want embarrass me with friends and my friends think it's cool some of them but I think maybe she going thru midlife crisis

My mom passed away a couple months ago due to maintaining bad health and me and my sister are worried our dad is next. We've asked him to stop smoking, but he just won't. I feel like he doesn't care enough about what his children's feelings.

Sister had a baby in the hospital today. She never told anybody who's the father and said she will take care of the baby regardless.. My younger sister kept her company for 36 hours during her labor.. Today, my younger sister sent me a photo of the baby and texted... "If you can, drop mom off at the hospital." I'm just chillen in my bed being real comfortable, and I texted back.. "Maybe in a little bit, I'm busy." Although we live in the same house, me and my sister who had a baby doesn't talk to each other... She always gives my parents problems.. So many stories like she went to jail for grand theft auto, smoke meth and became schizo, doesn't have a job etc... And now she got knocked up by some guy who nobody knows.... Right now, I'm just waiting for my Dad to come home from Church, so he can take my mom to the hospital instead of me.. So am I selfish? I texted my biggest sister that I'm selfish..... If it aint my problem I don't bother...

i practically dont exist in the house and if i do its only to be blamed yelled at or lectured while they leave and dont tell me yet they come back on full stomachs while im in the house looking for food. I ran away once and went to a different state with my girlfriend whos 22. Yet for some reason we find ourself back in our parents home while im being ignored and treated like **** i have a 22 year old pregnant girlfriend two hours away in a different state this time at my parents house ive become more and more suicidal the one person i can talk to who listens and cares theyve stripped me of everything i use to talk to her ive found myself at a cross road. Either i figure something out for me and this family ive created or im gonna kill myself. I know what your gonna say. me killing myself is gonna leave her to struggle on her own when in actuality it might be the best thing for her. Her mom gave her until may 1st my birthday to move out. if shes not out by may1st her moms calling the police on her unless she leaves me. which is why ive found myself at this cross road. Raise my kid in a struggle or let him have a easy life in the warm without me someone please help

They divorced when I was 15, my dad was abusive and they never got along anyway. My father is remarried and has been for 5 years now and my Mom is on her own. I'm not sure why I still dream about that, I don't even wish for it and I'm an adult who doesn't live with either of them.

I'm 16 (17 in May) and I have a 10-year-old sister who is becoming increasingly bothersome with her attitude. About a month ago, we were both cleaning up the house, I had chores and she had her own. I finish my task and I go and check on her. When I approached her, she turned on a light in the house to pick up some trash (Now mind you this, there is enough light in the house for her to see, her eyesight isn't bad) and her attitude threw me off because I told her to turn off her light. She said no, and then I said I'll call mom. She said I don't care and she annoyingly repeated it in a singsongy way while fluctuating her voice level. So I did just that and mom told me she's on her way. I said "mom's on her way" and she still said, "I don't care." Shortly thereafter, mom arrives and she says "What's going on?" I tell her the situation and my sister doesn't say anything; Instead, she decides to pretend and play nice. Mom doesn't do anything and the story ends there (Mom Knows about her attitude problem but usually does nothing). IT continues Fast forward 3 weeks and I give her the phone to video-chat my younger cousin because he wanted to speak with her. I reluctantly let her do it and guess what she decides to do. While she was on the phone. I wondered why she was laughing so much. Hmmm... I thought maybe my cousin made a funny face. NOPE, She sent 4 embarrassing pictures of me (When I got my braces on, I took some pics to look back on in the future) without my consent. THAT WAS THE FINAL STRAW!!! When I took the phone and hung up, she continued to laugh and I sent her away and told her "Don't ask for my computer or phone." She said I don't care and continued to laugh while walking away. I decided I will not tolerate her behavior anymore and I stopped talking to her. Fast forward to now, my mom is down the street (I didn't know at the time) and she is talking to a relative. My sister tells me that she's down the street when I'm looking for mom in the house, and I ignore her. I decide to call her myself and she confirms this as well. I walk outside and my sister (along with her attitude) tells me that I'm stupid and I tell her "That's exactly why you don't have the computer anymore." She, again, annoyingly singsongs repeatedly "I don't care, you do! are you mad or not." And here's where I am now, begging the Answers community to help me deal with this annoying little girl. *Note she's even worse at school. She received two referrals and the aftercare administrators along with most of the kids don't even like her. Also, her teachers don't like her because OF HER ATTITUDE!!!! Suggestions?? I forgot to mention, she asked me for the computer before I go outside. Sorry it's too long, but I wanted to get this off of my chest!

i am 15 now and skip school most of the time, i just go to my boyfriend and then we smoke weed and **** but my dad keeps trying to push me to go to school but it's so early and boring and guys keep trying to talk to me even when i tell them i have a boyfriend. i wanna listen to my dad but i just can't and now i'm scared i'm gonna become a stripper cause i won't get hired anywhere im not 18 stfu and i dont want your stupid ***

My boyfriend died on Feb,16th of a heroin overdoes. I have been through trauma in my life but seeing him die was something else, I can t even begin to explain. I have also been dealing with flashbacks of sexual abuse. My aunt staring at me naked and running her hands all over my body when i was a child. I am 22,disabled and I am also trying to start finally getting my own social security checks. My mother is a narcissist who has been getting my checks my whole life, she is going to be mad about this. I also live with her and currently we are going to be getting evicted. All of this is severely affecting me, i can barely sleep and eat. I also take care of my youngest siblings so i have no option but to get up and take care of them. I just do not know what to do anymore. Thank you for any advice you may give me.
