Question: Should I be worried if my 15 year old will never want biological children? Posted: 16 Mar 2018 01:34 PM PDT Since at 6 years of age! She will either adopt or be childless even if she's perfectly healthy and fertile. My daughter just "knew" she doesn't want to have her own. |
Posted: 16 Mar 2018 12:25 PM PDT Finally, I moved out of my parent's home and living with my grandmother who turns 85, and in need of assistance in getting around. This idea of living with my grandmother brought her joy. It's a privilege that no furniture required to bring. The room furnished. But, as I arrived the first day at her doorstep, she becomes upset with the number of things I have. My parents brought back half of my clothes. The issue was not enough space, as she claimed. When I checked in the closet that is in my room, blankets, curtains and her daughter clothes who do not live there. I asked my grandmother if I can put her items in her second closet in her room, her response, no. Further reply, this is my house, I'm the one who asked to live with her, so the use of the closet is off limits. I cannot remove none of her blankets. So now I don't have anywhere to put my clothes. What can I do? How can I let her understand that what she is doing is unreasonable? Please help. Thank you. |
Question: Mother in law dependent on tramadol. Suggestions? Posted: 16 Mar 2018 11:23 AM PDT Husband and I tell my mother in law she either lets us manage her tramadol usage or she can choose to live someplace else. This is something I need my mother in law to respect. She's only prescribed 3 a day and I give her up to 5. But sometimes she'll go out and get more and take up to 9 or so if possible, without our knowledge. I have to quietly take it out of her bag and leave it with the rest of her pain medicine, which she can't get to. I hate to do this, but she has heavily relied on tramadol for years, getting it illegally, until I caught on and had her see her doctor and get proper surgical relief. If it wasn't for me, her own two children wouldn't even have noticed her dependence on tramadol. What would you do? I don't feel she has a choice but to respect our choice to have us manage her medicine. I'd be more supportive, but she doesn't believe she has problem. |
Posted: 16 Mar 2018 11:09 AM PDT This sometimes happens even if they haven't met my siblings. I'm one of the youngest in my family and it confuses me that people assume I'm the oldest. Are there traits that the oldest stereotypically have? If so, what are they? |
Question: Am I ever going to be good enough for my mom? Posted: 16 Mar 2018 10:52 AM PDT I'm 25 and still live with her, but I have two jobs and go to school. I happened to sleep in this morning after being at the gym until about 2am and now she's going off on me. Saying I think I'm perfect, which I know I'm far from. It's like she doesn't even know how low my self esteem is. She calls me lazy even though I cook dinner twice a week, before I go to work. I work all weekend every weekend. I do homework and study whenever I can. I almost never get to hang out with friends because I just don't have time. My life mostly involves working, doing homework, doing housework, or the gym. She makes me feel suicidal with the things she says. I just want show her how much better her life must be without me. But I would never do that because I can't leave my sister behind. I don't wanna move out because I'm afraid to leave her alone since she gets depressed every now and then. Why does she treat me this way? |
Posted: 16 Mar 2018 08:24 AM PDT So my dad and I are living with his girlfriend and her daughter for about 4 months. My step sister is so annoying. I'm 17 and she's almost 17. So we're in the same grade. Thank goodness were not in the same grade. Every now and then she asks me for money. A lot of times she walks around wearing short shorts or yoga pants. Whenever my dad and her mom are out on a date I always gotta watch the tv shows she wants to watch. She gets away with too much. |
Question: 19 years old and trying to buy a car? Posted: 16 Mar 2018 08:09 AM PDT Hi, can someone please tell me step by step the process in buying a car.. I'm entering adulthood and lost. I've talked to my parents as well. I have money saved up and before I go doing anything I'm not supposed to, I wanna know what are the steps of a teenager buying a car.... My parents are helping me so that's good, but I would like to know more. Thanks in advance. |
Question: How to politely remind someone to pay you? Posted: 16 Mar 2018 07:34 AM PDT I'm a full time nanny for a wonderful family. I work 40-50 hrs a week and for now this is my sole source of income. The family used to be really diligent about paying me every Friday. Then it got a little lazier and moved to every other Friday. Now it's never on time, and it's been 3 weeks since I've been paid. It's not an issue of them "forgetting" to pay me - they are both crazy busy and they really do just forget. But it's so awkward for me to remind them. I feel like anything I say just sounds to them like "I'm in this just for the money and not your child." But I'm getting behind on my bills because of their late payments and it's really stressing me out. Any ideas on how I can ask to be paid without jeopardizing the relationship? |

Question: Can somebody help me i am scared? Posted: 16 Mar 2018 05:53 AM PDT I stay with my grandma and grandpa. I don't have parents so my grandma shares with me the money n all n when she doesn't have any she asks my grandpa. My grandpa threatened her with death if she doesn't stop asking for anything because it's his money n he didn't get much of the others back. He told me to leave the house n he once threw me out to live on the streets. He threatened me n her even with a knife. I am too scared to call the police i don't know what to do i don't want her to be killed by this monster |
Question: Help, girls - why does my step - sister hate me? Posted: 16 Mar 2018 01:06 AM PDT I'm 15 and my step sister is 16. She knows I've had a crush on her, and I admit I did do some bad things in the past, like stealing some of her underwear. But now she always calls me "perv", and has told multiple girls about a genetic disorder that I have (which makes my sex organs smaller than normal). Now some of her friends call me "little man" and laugh. I feel very embarrassed and nervous around her, and just want her to like me. Why does she treat me like this? And why do her friends make fun of me so much? And how can I make her and her friends like me? |
Question: What can I do to help my fiancé? Posted: 16 Mar 2018 12:15 AM PDT He is about to lose his house because his step dad stole all the rent money. Now he has to worry to put my mother in law in a safe place. His brother is willing to pitch in to help a place for his mom. The sad part about this whole situation is that he might go homless because he has no where else to go and his brother also will stay by his side. Right now they don't have food to eat or water. Their electricity will be shut down as well. He told me this through a phone call and it tears me apart that the love of my life has to go through this. |
Question: What should I do with my son? Posted: 15 Mar 2018 11:49 PM PDT My son is absolutely worthless. He can't cook, clean, has no hobbies, passions, talents, nothing. He wasn't good at school, he can't play an instrument, or draw. He's an adult and does nothing but sit at home all day and play on his computer. That's all he's ever done, even as a child. He never went out with his friends either. I don't understand how a person can have no motivation or passion for anything? I tell him he should have more interests but he says "eh" or he doesn't care about it. He has always been this way. No, he doesn't have a job either or go to school. He did graduate but barely. For years, I've had to hound him about getting good grades but he never cared or felt he could get them. He still lives with me, but does nothing except play on his laptop and sleep. He won't do his laundry so I have to do it. If I don't cook or do his laundry for him he will not eat or wash his clothes himself. he'd rather stink, and goes days without showering or changing his clothes. He sleeps in the same clothes for days. I've threatened to kick him out, because I'm tired of him doing nothing. His cousins are going to college, or at least working. They have friends and relationships. He doesn't even have a drivers license. I'm so pissed off with this kid. He doesn't want to learn how to do anything. If I kick him out, I could see him just living on the street and not doing anything to improve his life. What should I do about him? Should I still kick him out? |
Question: Did my dad accidentally touch me ? Posted: 15 Mar 2018 11:22 PM PDT When I was 10 my older sister got very sick and had to stay at the hospital for a week my mom stayed with her. My mom let me sleep on her bed with my dad and my little sister next to us in the crib while she was gone. So I slept next to my dad and that night I was woken up in the middle of the night with him putting his hand up my night gown and into my underwear grabbing my butt then resting his hand on my butt. I was so afraid and shocked my dad was doing this so I thought maybe he thinks I'm my mom maybe he's dreaming. My body was frozen I couldn't move luckily he moved his hand and rolled over and I couldn't sleep I was so scared it would happen again I stayed clenching my night gown tight to my body and then sure enough he rolled over and tried putting his hand up my night gown again and I wouldn't let him I kept my night gown to me and he kept trying but eventually stopped. I'm 22 years old now and have a son and live with my parents during the week since my fiancé works away during the week. When I was asleep on the couch my dad tried to take off my blankets again and he was just staring at me and my mom yelled at him to go to the room. He was drunk that night. I feel very uncomfortable leaving my son around him alone and no one knows why. He's done the same thing to my little sister last year when he came home drunk and she was laying on the bed with him he tried putting his hand down her pants and she told my mom and my mom said he's drunk that's why. |
Question: What do you think about banking consumer credit for buying a new computer? Posted: 15 Mar 2018 10:45 PM PDT I'm from Poland i'm disabled, have Asperger and work in KFC restaurant, my iq is high but have problems with social interaction. I would like to take a loan to buy a new computer, because in my old almost 10-year-old computer, the procoser slowly crashes, it's the Intel Core 2 Quad Q84000 clocked at 2.66 Ghz, so it's not so bad, my computer also has 6 GB Ram, and graphics card NVIDIA GTX 750 which I bought it two years ago. I would like to take a loan for a new computer to play, my brother makes fun of me that he acts like a teenager :-) That I also have a laptop, because I have bought it once for a scholarship fund, it is the B50-70 lenovo but its can be used for at most watching movies. My brother is afraid that if I took a loan, I could fall into debt loops, but such a loan can be spread even for 72 installments / months, it can also be repaid earlier, What do you think about it? |
Question: Help with smothering mother-in-law!? Posted: 15 Mar 2018 10:37 PM PDT My partner and I are in a serious, committed, long term relationship. I have moved from my country across the world to live and be with him. I love this man more then anything in the world but his mother is driving me crazy.. It started with the fact that when i first moved over we lived with them for about 4 months. She didn't want us to move out. My partner is her only child and she wants to be involved in everything. My partner now does FIFO work (so he works away and then flys home and has a break for a week) and its made it worse. She treats me like a little kid who constantly needs advice and guidance. She always give me her opinion, and told me that my partner and I are not to have kids until she is 50, as she doesn't want to be a young grandma. We have a little dog and she constantly wants to have him for the weekends and I relent but then he comes back sick as she feeds him things Ive asked her not too, even though i sent him with food. It makes me scared for when we do have kids because she doesn't seem to respect me as a person, or a capable adult woman. My own mother has suggested that maybe she is trying to be so involved because she feels bad that all of my family is in another country. But she's nothing like my mom, and just annoys me. I feel bad because i know she's just trying to be nice, but it infuriates me to no end. Any suggestions or advice from those who have went through something similar? Appreciation in advance xx |
Question: Was this wrong of my father ? Should he be left with my son alone ? Posted: 15 Mar 2018 10:25 PM PDT I was 6 years old when my father asked me to kiss him very hard as if I was his wife. He and my mother were having problems and he was cheating on her( I found this out when I got older). I was playing with my dad on the couch and jumping on him. I was always a daddy's girl. He sat me on his lap and asked me to kiss him very hard the longest and best kiss I could give him and then tell my mom now I'm his new wife. He said no tongue just kiss me as best as you can with your lips. I did and he said I'm his new better wife now and to go tell my mom I'm his new wife. I was so happy to make my dad proud. Why would I do that? Why would he ask me to do that? He's done other stuff to me along the years like grabbing my butt underneath my favorite night gown when I was 10 and recently trying to grab me again under the covers when he was drunk and I was asleep on the couch with my son. All these instances of touching I think were accidents he was drunk and tired. These incidents make me scared to leave my one year old son with him. I never let him be around him alone and my whole family thinks I'm being a ***** but as I became a parent I've found more resentment towards my father for touching me and kissing me the way he did but more so I've had more frustration with myself for allowing that to happen to me. Am I over reacting, Was this normal ? I'm 22 years old, this happened so long ago but it's stil so fresh in my head. No one knows about this I'm too scared no one will believe me |
Question: National American Miss-Invite Confusion? Posted: 15 Mar 2018 07:06 PM PDT Hi! This is a question from two sisters. We got one invitation for national american miss in the mail saying that "your daughter" is invited. However, it didn t specify, and all age groups are listed on here. We think that it sounds like a nice opportunity, but we don t know who it was for. |
Question: How do I respectfully tell my dad that he treats me like garbage? Posted: 15 Mar 2018 07:02 PM PDT My dad is the complete opposite of me when it comes to social interaction. I always try to make people's day, but he is always so condescending towards me and doesn't care how I feel about it. If I tell him that he's not being fair, he just says "life's not fair." He never listens to what I have to say, and I've told him that. All he says back is "I'm not the problem, you're doing x,y,z" and threatens me with punishments. I just don't know what to say anymore, and if I cry, he tells me it's just an act. It's like he thinks that I don't even have feelings. Please someone help me. Thank you. |

He's a very handsome guy and a few girls at my job have had crushes on him but I would never tell them to back off.. overal is this bad? |
Question: What's wrong with my Mom? Posted: 15 Mar 2018 03:10 PM PDT She never lets go of anything. She still hates me for things I did as a teenager and I'm an adult now who lives on her own is still mad about the fact that I'm no longer seeing a boy I met and dated when I was 13 years old and is always posting on Facebook about her divorce from my Dad more than 5 years ago. It's like being around her is a constant drag full of bad memories she constantly brings up. |
Posted: 15 Mar 2018 02:31 PM PDT Since she was a little girl she knew. She might adopt or not have her own child at all. Friendships were always so serious to her. She depends a lot on friends. She still thinks about a former best friend who broke off with her when she was 12... It seems like my daughter never had the strongest bond with biological family. I didn't naturally birth my kids either. |

Question: Was my dad funny I think he was ? Posted: 14 Mar 2018 09:16 AM PDT My parents are divorced and I live with my dad.today we all decided to go out to eat. And while we were eating my mom told my dad that I was listening to Watain and she told dad thatthe music was satanic so dad says " i knew he was listening to Watain for a year and it probably sounds satanic because Watain is a theistic satanist there sherlock" Then mom says "can you make him stop it opens doors to the spirit relm"? Then dad jumps up on the table and yells " my wife says satan is after my son, does anyone here see satan"? Then another across the room says " why yes I have last october on halloween". |
Question: How should have I reacted? Posted: 14 Mar 2018 04:44 AM PDT My auntie dragged me and my mother to her daughters new flat since she just got married. We didn't want to go because she doesn't like me because he husband kept looking up my skirt on their wedding day. Anyway when I went to sit down on their couch, I got up and there was chewing gum on my new pants! I was so pissed off I ran to the bathroom to get it off but couldn't properly. I was angry and I said quietly that she out it there on purpose but my auntie told me it was probably an accident because they're newly weds and were probably doing it on the couch and got distracted so the gum fell out. That seemed like a plausible excuse, but when we all sat down to eat I just felt so angry that I got up and walked out. I didn't even get an apology. I thought if I didn't leave I might suddenly get violent or something. How should I have reacted? |
