Question: Why is it people don't show up to parties anymore? Posted: 19 Mar 2018 05:04 PM PDT Ones that will RSVP "yes" and then not show up. No phone call, email, or anything. Why do people do that? |
Question: Is my best friend/Moirail bad for me? Posted: 19 Mar 2018 04:16 PM PDT Quick answer to something I know will come up: A moirail is a homestuck term meant for a love for someone a bit like sibling love but deeper. These people keep you grounded and help you no matter what- as I like to put it they are your soulmate minus the romance. Look it up. Anyway. Ever since I've considered her my best friend I've known deep down I'd do anything for her. When she cut herself I hugged her a told her it would be okay etc etc. When she has panic attacks or is upset- I constantly help her through it. What are moirails for? I would murder someone for her, hell I'd rob a bank too...she says she loves me like a sister. She says I'm her best friend, we're moirails. But...when I mentioned to her I cut it was through snapchat. She yelled at me in a fit of surprise and...it only came up again when I mentioned it though she did rub my scar (an x on my hand- I call it pirate treasure.) a few times. Whenever I rant to her (lord knows I need someone to talk to about my ****** up issues) she gives short responses that hardly help. If I were her I'dve responded at least a good paragraph in a billion messages. But...she tiptoes around my problems. She acts like they dont exist and hardly mentions them. In fact, I ranted to her earlier and she responded with "Sempai. Got Pizza" and that's *literally* it. She bites and hits me sometimes too but never enough to actually hurt me. I ******* love her but the anxiety and rejection she's made me feel cuts deep down. Help? |
Posted: 19 Mar 2018 03:51 PM PDT Okay, I realize this is silly looking photo and a side profile but, it is the only recent image of me I have (I am the girl). I feel like this is a dumb question, and the reason I ask it is cause of a random, somewhat distasteful comment a customer at work said to me the other day about my age. I am just curious how old I look to you? |
Question: How can I talk to my friend again? Posted: 19 Mar 2018 03:47 PM PDT About a year ago I told my best friend that I have a crush on her. She acted like she reciprocated my feelings. I asked her if it would change anything. She said no. I also have depression and anxiety which she already knew about. She continued to be friends with me for about 9 months. Right after Christmas she stopped talking to me, blocked me on all social media, and wouldn't answer any of my calls. When school started again I tried talking to her and she just ignored me. Our other friends aren't on my side because she's better friends with them than I am. I now sit by myself and often times will go days without talking to anybody at school. I can't really make other friends either because of my social anxiety and my school is very clique-y . What am I supposed to do because my depression is worse than ever and she is the only one who could make me forget all of my problems? I feel really helpless. |
Question: What do rich kids do, and where do they hang out? Posted: 19 Mar 2018 03:30 PM PDT Before I start, I want everyone to know that I'm not a Gold Digger. Slowly but progressively I am becoming successful, and to keep the cycle running, I would like to be surrounded by other successful and/or wealthy heirs, because you become like The Company You Keep. If I am friends and acquaintances with successful people, it will motivate me to be successful as well. I live in Seattle, sometimes I hang out in Portland, OR since some of my family lives there. I'd like to know what kind of places rich young adults (18-23) hang out, and when they hang out there. And how I can approach them without seeming odd, and how I can gain their friendship. And also, I would like to know what rich millennials find platonically attractive, and what I could do to make them have an interest in me as a friend. |
Question: Is it wrong for me to see both of these guys? Posted: 19 Mar 2018 03:24 PM PDT I've been hooking up and having sex with this older guy who lives in another state. We've only hooked up a few times though I'm 30 and he's 43. He's going through a rough time financially and I help him. This guy my age at a store that I go to sometimes asked for my number awhile ago and today he called asking to hang out. I told him I would think about it I'm rushing anything with him though. He knew that I had gone to school for Massage Therapy. So he's been asking for a massage but he wants to go out to eat or something. Anyway should I stop talking to the older guy? |
Question: My guy friend wants me to hang out with him and his friends alone? Posted: 19 Mar 2018 03:17 PM PDT i already know that my (older) guy friend liked me. he now wants me to hang out with him and his friends, and all they do is smoke/drink, and my friend knows i've never done either. what does this mean ? why does he want me to hang with them? |

Posted: 19 Mar 2018 01:25 PM PDT I was supposed to go on vacation to Miami today. I was going to fly into Fort Lauderdale to meet my friend and then her family and me would drive down to Miami. I came home at 12:00a.m. last night and at 1:00 I was sitting down with my brother while he booked the flight online for 10:35. I suddenly made the ill-advised decision NOT to go simply because I didn't want to pack and have to wake up so early (I'd have to wake up at 6:00 or so and leave the house at 7. The decision to go was made 4 hours before I arrived home, and I told my friend I wouldn't go, so would it be confusing if I said I'm coming down all of a sudden? |

Question: Am I the only person who accept friend requests from people of similar class and status? Posted: 19 Mar 2018 10:12 AM PDT Whenever I see friend requests from low class dudes in thug clothes, I hesitate to add them. Am I the only one who does this? If he looks homely looking, I'll decline him. |
Question: Does my family friend have social anxiety, or is she just an immature brat? Posted: 19 Mar 2018 09:46 AM PDT I'm 16, she's 15. We've been family friends since I was 4. On her social media she hangs out with her friends, sleep overs, etc. It looks like she has fun (laughing and smiling). It's a group of people. On gatherings with other family friends she's on her phone the whole time, scoffing and asking every five minutes if they could go home. Looking very angry. I don't think she dislikes me (she smiled at me) What's the deal? |
Question: Getting a councilor? Posted: 19 Mar 2018 07:39 AM PDT So I've been really sad and stuff because my ex and my best friend have a thing, and I told my best friend I need time and she said ok and is giving me time right now, and my ex and me are kind of okay, but they say that I need a counsilor and maybe I do, but they're expensive and I have no clue how to even ask my parents to schedule me for something like this. Any ideas? |

Question: How to read this behaviour? Posted: 19 Mar 2018 05:16 AM PDT I'm in a sort of confusing situation. Basically, whenever my friend is in his group of close mates/friends, I always see them looking. Every time I walk past, they all seem to look at me for some reason. They also go a bit quieter as I walk past. I know they don't talk about girls/me as I've overheard their conversations, which are about work/sport. So why do his friends always look at me? What does it mean? |
Question: Was I Wrong to Blast My Friend for Not Inviting Me to her Wedding? Posted: 19 Mar 2018 04:13 AM PDT I've known my friend since first grade. Although we didn't keep in touch after grammar school, we had a long history together. So you can imagine my shock when I saw her post on her Facebook page that she was getting engaged, and the wedding was to be in California. As I waited for an invitation, it never arrived. I later saw pictures of the wedding on her page, including with people she JUST met. I was so enraged I tagged her in a status update, saying "Thanks for not inviting me to your wedding. I look forward to going to your funeral." Thinking this was going to get me some sympathy, instead I got loads of comments saying I was jealous, a hater and immature. The woman in question even private messaged me saying she was unfriending me, and that she was not required to invite everyone she went to school with. Was I wrong to do this? Apparently my facebook blast caused a minor rift in her marriage; they're not divorced or anything, but he apparently partially sided with me and thinks she's not sincere with the people she grew up with. Any advice would be appreciated, I am very hurt by this. |
Question: Are you a loner to the point where you push away people who are trying to befriend you? Posted: 19 Mar 2018 03:32 AM PDT Or do you accept and welcome new people into your life? For me it depends on who it is that is trying to befriend me : It depends on the first impression I gather from them or whether or not I think we have things in common . Generally I like to go places and do things alone. I am typically very uncomfortable when it comes to social aspects with other people. I feel "awkward" |
Question: Can two friends make up after not speaking for 6 months. Or has too much time passed? Posted: 19 Mar 2018 01:24 AM PDT My friend who I've known for a year we had a fight over something so silly it was because she got a new boyfriend and didn't see me as much as she used to and I flipped and told her about herself (I was very bitter and jealous) she always said that she loved me and just because she got a new boyfriend she wouldn't just ditch me. 6 months later.. I have changed and instead of being jealous of friends with boyfriends I'm happy for them and I just think we fell out for a petty reason and I do miss her I unblocked her and messaged her on Facebook this morning asking how she has been Do you think if two friends haven't spoken in so long there's no possible way they can make friends I think these 6 months have made me realised how impulsive I am and I shouldn't write off friends so easily cause I do miss her |

Question: Need advice on friends living situation.? Posted: 18 Mar 2018 10:27 PM PDT My boyfriend and I are best friends with another couple. They have an apartment with a roommate (who is the guy's friend) but his gf hates the roommate with a powerful and completely irrational hatred. She has no actual good reason to hate him so much as far as anyone can tell (she has some issues) but she's not prepared to take on half the rent, she can't afford it. She has a friend out of state who she wants to move in and she wants to kick the roommate out. She is basically trying to coerce her boyfriend into convincing him to leave (putting a strain on their friendship) so her friend can move in, and is threatening their relationship if he doesn't do it. Desperate and unsure what to do, he asked me for advice. I honestly don't know what to do to help. I'm really disappointed in her, I thought she was a good person. I don't want to "take sides", they are both my friends, but this is BS and it's not ok, she is taking advantage of her boyfriend who (quite frankly) would do anything for her and this is destroying him. What do you think I should do? |
Question: Did I say something stupid to my best friend? Or something good? Posted: 18 Mar 2018 08:28 PM PDT My best friend was upset because he is cheap with money and I offered to buy him dinner. He is younger then me and like a little brother who I care a lot for. We are both adults but have a decent age gap between us, (he is still in college). So he did not want me to buy because he said he feels that means he should by next time to repay me. I told him the truth of what I really felt which is That if I had one wish today it would be to take my little brother fishing. (My little brother died years ago by accident). But though I could never take my brother fishing I could take my friend fishing, and my friend always goes. I told him that meant so much to me that I want to buy him dinner or lunch all the time, because he owes me nothing. I told him he should never feel he owes based on what a friend gives, or that person is not a real friend. I said I do not have a little brother anymore, but he filled that role for me and it was very important to me. I was wondering if I should of said all that or if that was too strong and weird. But it is how I really feel. should add were both guys. |
Question: Friend never gets me a birthday gift? Posted: 18 Mar 2018 08:19 PM PDT One of my good friends (of 10 years) often has birthday parties and dinners for his birthday and I always get him a nice gift-- even if he doesn't formally celebrate with a get-together. Yet, whenever my birthday comes around, he rarely acknowledges it and if he does, it's usually after the fact. He has never gotten me a birthday gift and will just say he forgot. Disclaimer-- I know not everything has to be reciprocated and I don't get him gifts to get things in return. For me, it's about the thought. Has anyone experienced this in a friendship/relationship? Did you just stop buying the person gifts or ignore it? |
Question: Who wants to be my friend? Posted: 18 Mar 2018 07:46 PM PDT |
Question: I got my friend in trouble? Posted: 18 Mar 2018 07:21 PM PDT I wanted to prank call my friend, so i dialed her number. I didn't day anything bad at all, just the little innocent "pizza delivery" trick. I realized it wasn't her because the voice was unfamiliar, so I hung up quickly. But then my friend messaged me, saying that her mom is pissed at her?? Apparently I had dialed their house phone. I Whatsapped her mom, saying that it was me and apologizing and telling her that her daughter had nothing to do with it, but her mom is crazy! I feel so bad, I didn't mean any harm! Is there anything else I can do to make this better? |
Question: Can I get in trouble for asking bully coworker to leave me alone? Posted: 18 Mar 2018 06:33 PM PDT I don't have to speak to her for anything work related. She was starting to make daily stops at my desk and it was starting to stress me out.She was also starting to intrude on my personal life and I could only be polite for so long. I didn't really trust her because she likes bully all the coworkers through joking and laughing through it. I sent her a polite email letting her know that was getting uncomfortable and if she needs anything, it's better to e-mail me only. That way I can have our interactions documented without getting tripped up into her bullying anymore. |
