Posted: 17 Mar 2018 06:49 AM PDT I am married and not on the market at all. My wife will join me soon enough. Right now I am bored, so I ride my bikes a lot. I might as well lose weight, because my wife is a good cook, and I will gain it all back. But I digress. I live three miles from UCLA. I work right next to the school. I ride a bicycle a lot (True I do not ride cheap bikes). No matter where I go on my bike I am going to pass the school, Starbucks, or some other hang out where students are. They are everywhere, and few of them drive. Anyway, lots of young women try to talk to me, or comment on my bicycle when I stop at a crossing. Typically they are in yoga pants biking, blade-ing, walking the dog, or jogging. I am a middle aged man, gray sidewalls, and freshly sweaty. Every Saturday I ride wearing retro looking Speedos, and have day old razor stubble. That has to be very UN-attractive. When I lived here before, and drove around my topless Jeep Wrangler with my dog in the passenger seat, I got a lot of attention. But then I was single, and dogs are chick magnets, so I guess that was an unfair advantage. Why waste money on "designer" clothing? Any young single man can just buy a bicycle for half the price of a "designer" jacket, and then he can meet lots of "fit" women who are under 25. I moved here near the school because there is no shortage of tech companies here, and my wife wants to take classes at the school when she arrives. I did not move here for the "young meat". |

Question: How do I redeem myself after I asked my girlfriend a really dumb question? Posted: 17 Mar 2018 04:33 AM PDT I've spent 3 months trying to ask her to be my girlfriend and she accepted. Now we been together for 3 months, but during those 6 months of knowing her I haven't figured out who she really is inside and I wanna know. So today I decided that I should ask her about and I directly asked her " who are you as an individual?". She just said "that's a really stupid question to ask me. So you haven't learned a single thing about me these past few months?" She is right though... I should be able to make my own judgement as of who she is based on the time we spent together. I need help. How do I redeem myself? Additional info: I've also made countless mistakes but that harmed our relationship and almost lead to breaking up, but we managed to always mend it back a bIt. |
