My mother has always been abusive; both physically and emotionally. I'm honestly fearful of my life sometimes. I hate her, but at the same time, I know I still want her acknowledgement. I have nowhere to really go because if I do end up getting my mom in trouble, all my relatives will blame me and say it was wrong of me to call the authorities and they will frown upon me and I'll never truly be accepted. (I know this because I tried to call the police on my mom 5 years ago and I still have not heard the end of it from my relatives.) Not to mention, I'm completely satisfied with how my life outside of my home is and I know it's selfish of me to want everything to stay this way but my friends and my hobbies are what keep me from ending it all.

My niece and nephews are 5,6 and 8 and have lived with me for nearly 4years after suffering abuse from mum dad and mums new boyfriend. Now their mum has not seen them for a year after she fell pregnant and it was agreed by myself family and her family that she should not see them due to damaging their mental health (like why did mum give me up but have another baby) now out of the blue she wants contact with the kids and is threatening with court and I need some advice on where we stand and how we go about this please and if you think she should see the kids what advice would you give like how would you explain this to the kids and where this new baby has come form sorry if I m ranting and this doesn t make sense but really need some help

My step mom won't stop bullying me about how I look. She compares me to her daughter constantly and tells me that I'm going to have hard time losing weight during each meal. :( I know my stomach sticks out just a bit, but I'm no where near overweight. I eat healthy, play soccer, and exercise when I can. It's gotten to the point where her daughter has started bullying me too. My dad does nothing, my mom isn't involved in my life, and most of my family live out of state. Idk what to do because it has really started to take a toll on me. :(

My grandpa is in his 70s and my father just told me now that they might give him the option to move in with us. I immediatley disagreed on it and argued. Me and my family are moving, but not very far. My son is in 7th grade but desperately wants to stay at his school and finish out middle school there. But, he ALSO wants to go to the high school that he would go to if we stayed. Is that possible? The highschool is only 20 minutes away from where we would be moving to, so can he go to it if we choose? Transportation is not a problem. THANK YOU. :)

It's been this way for 5 years now. I'm 18 and leaving for college soon, and I worry about my mom because she literally doesn't have a social life, date or have a job. She lives off child support from my dad ($900 a month) and collects food stamps. Child support is gonna be gone when I graduate. After being evicted from our current house from non-payment of rent after my husband left our family I've been trying to find a second job, and an affordable house. I managed to find a three-bedroom house a few hours away. The rent will be 700.00 a month and I'm only bringing in 1300 a month plus food stamps. My eldest son lives in the same town as I'm moving too and is going to move in and pay 400 a month with utilities included plus his own food. Which will really help me with costs while I wait for child support. The dilemma I'm having is since my oldest will have his own room as he is paying. I have to somehow to fit 5 children (3 girls, 2 boys) and myself into two bedrooms. The house is only 800 sq/ft and the living room is small. My son goes to school and works. He was paying 700 a month plus 1/3 of all the utilities before on a place minutes from the campus. I had a huge garage sale and gave away some stuff as we can't take everything.

I desperately need help with this, and likely I'll need to pay for professional help. Long story short I'm in my 40s but my parents text/email/call me *WAY* too much. My older sister is painfully childish. She's 22 and never helps put around the house. It's worse because we share a bedroom meaning that her mess automatically becomes my mess. My mom and I used to have a beautiful relationship. We used to tell each other everything. But now, that all changed. Last Saturday night I was on my phone. I don't want to say exactly what happened but I was doing something and suddenly a bunch of bad words popped up but I kept doing it, and my mom walked in and I got to close the tab but my mom was still asking me what I was doing. Then, today, I have a dentist's appointment. Me and my mom had a small 10 second discussion saying that I should go to school until 11:50 AM and she would pick me up to take me. I ended up not waking up because I was so tired (I still have time to get to the appt.) and she walked into my room and started yelling at me, and yanked out the chords of my room's TV. That had been the only source of entertainment for me for the last few days. I miss her. So much.

My mom said to me when I'm ready to get married just say the word and she'll find a guy for me. The problem is that I don't feel tough enough to leave and start my own family and be responsible for EVERYTHING. But my future is probably going to be that eventually even though I don't think my issues with marriage will ever change. So do I just let her find me someone now or enjoy a few more years of freedom until I eventually get the bottle to do it. So a little backstory on my ex: he repeatedly hit me while we were together and would go days on end pouting or making me feel like I was selfish for needing him to be involved in our child's life. I am 18 and in high school and I ******* hate my life. I hate school, despise all my classmates, the staff hates me because I always get into a lot of trouble, I got sent to juevenil hall for some bill **** reasons, (in not saying that to brag) and I'm sad to say but I'm not that good at baseball anymore (that really hurts me to say). I'm 15 (girl) and my bro is 12. My 9 year old cousin lived with us his whole life, but his mom decided to go to a foreign country. My mom has been preparing me for college since 8th grade. She expects my brother to know life lessons that most 12 year old boys don't. My cousin is expected to be like a teenager already. It's been three years since aunt left, and things ARE different. The younger kids have less of a childhood. She's expected to come back within the next few years. Until my uncle can legally come to Canada, they must stay there. She left my cousin with my mom's legal guardianship because the education system is better and modern compared to developing places.

The other day, I had a panic attack because of how stressed out I am and I'm actually sobbing while writing this. Any tips on how to get my grades together? I am 23 and live with my 72 year old grandmother. There is no one else in the home. She's trying with all of her heart, but she can't take care of herself anymore. She can't clean, she can't walk that far, she can't even read a book anymore. Not because she's lazy, but because she's getting to that age. This makes me the caregiver. I've tried all I could to help her, but it's coming at a cost. I've been cleaning for 4 or 5 hours a day and within an hour or two, it becomes messy again. There is bugs everywhere and I hate harming them. Not only that but my physical health is bad as well. Since I've been so focused on helping her, I don't have any time help myself. I've been losing weight because I don't have enough food for her and me, I smell bad because I'm too busy for the shower. Also, she has four main disorders/diseases. She has diabetes, fibromyalgia, asthma and arthritis. I'm not sure if they're spreadable or not. At the end of the day, I have no idea what to do. I'm suffering and it's not her or my fault. She really doesn't want to go to a retirement home because she worked at one herself. If that's what happens, what do I do from there?

I see college age people on a kids game that pre-teens and teens are on!! It's a children's game for under 13. High school seems like the new middle schoolers. College seems like high school. The only differences are the independence and freedom as well as legal issues. 18-21 year olds are way more dependant on their parents. Most 20 year olds should not have the mentality of a 15 or 16 year olds
