So I'm an 11th grade student I've been ditching one of my classes for a couple of days and my school emailed my mom and told her that ive been missing school and then my parents confronted me about me and told me I might as well just drop out because I'm going no where in life, and then my mom spit in my face and I tried to walk away from her and go to the bathroom but she followed me and started yelling at me even more is this normal

Me and my wife are divorced and she lives in a different country now. I have 2 teenage boys (15 and 17 years old) that are really rebellious and don't like to listen. I tell them that they cannot drink alcohol and they need to be home by 9 o'clock on week days and 10 o'clock on weekends. Despite that, they drink and choose to come home whenever they want, they smoke weed and invite girls into my home that I'm positive they're having sex with. I have since given up on trying to get them to do what I say. I have found out it's better that way because we argue much less. My son was on a phone call with his mom and he told her some of the things I allow him and his brother to do and she called me screaming at the top of her lungs about how bad of a parent I am. She threatened to have them taken away from me if I don't do a better job. I don't know where to start or what to do.

He says he doesn't want to go anywhere. We do see everyone throughout the year and Christmas. My Dad refuses to join in at Thanksgiving cause he fears his in-laws. But he's more interested in watching cartoons and reading comic books like me. - His dad forced him to play football. But he ended up hating it, and now he does martial arts, wrestling, and boxing. So, my parents are very strict and basically control everything I put on my body, everything I do to my body, and also what I can wear. So, my parents hate the texture of my hair and they only allow me to wear perms, a straight weave or box braids. If I want to wear anything else I'm not allowed to leave the house and I'm constantly told how bad and ugly I look natural. My friend told me that if he was in my shoes he'd shave off all his hair so then his parents wouldn't be able to put weave or perms in it anymore. I knew a girl who had the same problem. ( her mother wouldn't allow her to go natural at all and she could only wear perms and wigs) I saw a comment that told her to cut off all her hair so her mom couldn't put perms in it anymore and a lot of people agreed. While my hair is damaged, the problem is if I do this my parents might not allow me to leave the house after I do this and plus a part of me really wanted to keep my hair but I know if It'll be covered up in a weave or permed anyway..... So, should I shave my head?

Please believe me, I'm not a troll. My mother just told me to kill myself because she said I have no friends and no self respect. I was trying to tell her something about school and she started shouting at me because she said she doesn't give a f about my story and that she has no interest. My parents like others have always been fighting and always the same threat of divorce or plain killing one self and that has happened in the past alot and recently last year, My brother catches the worst of my dad cause he lives with my mom and my dad always thinks he sides with my mom and defends her. They are both in the wrong, but mainly my dad is. So about a week ago .It was my older brother my older cousin and I over our cousins house playing Xbox. We were playing nba 2k. He beat my brother twice. He was bragging about and I honestly hate bragging so I grabbed the remote to play him. I was losing at first and my cousin was talking crap calling me a scrub and saying we are weak. I was down by like 10. I ended up coming back around the 4th quarter and tied it. I was talking throwing insults back to him calling a scrub for losing a lead. We were arguing. Then I ended up winning because he missed the game winning ****. My brother and I were screaming lol and he says he still suck and I got lucky. I said yeah but I still won and he got mad and told me box him. I'm like wth and my brother was telling him to cool it. So he pushed my brother and I grabbed him and told him to stop. It escalated and we were just like pushing each other and he had me backed up against the wall and my brother tried to get him off me but then his mom came and said we started trouble in her house. So we left. But now I realize my aunt doesn't really like me. I saw her last night and she didnt even say hey to me last night when I saw her. Should I apologize to her, I mean it wasn't my fault though?

I live in a large touristy city. My brother and his wife and kids are coming to town next month, staying in a hotel. He let me know they're coming: late one Thursday through Sunday morning. Not sure how popular I am with them (they dislike our mother, who I am similar to). I also have work plus a church commitment (they are atheists) during part of their visit. They asked me to babysit for 2 hours on Friday night so that my brother and his wife can go see a show. Other than that, they didn't specify getting together, although last time my sister in law was in town with children, she reached out and we got together a few times. So: let THEM tell me when they want to get together--do I just say, "let me know when you want to get together"? I'm sure that they don't want me shadowing them the whole time they're here. He has called his mom and if his my doesn't pick up the phone he calls his aunt (his aunt is the same age as him they grew up together and live in the same house. They are like brother and sister). This happened about two days ago around 12 pm and we were throwing a party at my parents house . Things were going fine , everyone drinking and chatting to one other like a Regular family . Until one of my stepfathers coworkers makes a side comment on the work ethics of my sisters friend , he not one to take things laying down talks back and accuses him of being a lousy worker . My mother's uncle steps in and starts a three way shouting match between them and stuff escalated. My sisters friend having enough of the shouting match starts to leave with my sister and is heading towards his car . He gets tackled by the uncle and is unable to defend himself since he's face down on the ground . Sister starts banging and screaming on the uncle and I intervene by also tackling the uncle off of him . He starts throwing punches by way but as a trained fighter I managed to get him in a headlock and basically choke him out until he's passed out . And now he's trying to start drama with my mother and asking her why she let me " disrespect him " like that in front of his coworkers and boss and not discipline me . And now he's tryin to press charges on me for assault since I'm 18 . Is he in the right by me taking it "to far" or I'm I justified in defending a fallen man ?

Hi. I've been married a long time, and I just can no longer deal with my inlaws. They are demanding, needy, and opportunists...all they do is expect help, attention, and support, but they don't ever reciprocate...as long as I've been married, I've gone above and beyond to help, support, and demonstrate concern...but, it's a one way street...they never, ever, give back...I am exhausted...I have a severely disable teenage son..He requires 24 hour supervision and care...they know how exhausted I am, because they tell me every chance they get, that "you look tired"...but never offer the slightest sympathy or help (not even a call or visit)..So, there is a small family celebration that my in law called me to attend with her "brother" (my husband), and my son...I texted 2 hours prior to decline..I was up all night with my son, and just too tired to get all primped for their celebration...all she said was "sorry to hear that"...then, she called again today, and said, "tell my brother to come later"..I said fine..but I'm too tired to come...I am done trying to please them, and do favors for them(which are too many to list)..and never get one ounce of help when I need it for my son (their nephew)..I do have an aide a few hours a day, but it would be nice if they show their concern...I'm done with them...just needed to vent...because friends are hard to trust
