So my friend started track and field, and she doesn t like it. The reason she did it was because her mom wanted her to play a sport. She ended up not liking it, and wants to quit, but she doesn t want to disappoint her mom. Also, she feels her boyfriend doesn t pay much attention to her anymore. She told me that she always texts him first, and he either texts back late, or dry. When she told him about how she felt about the track and field thing, all he said was "rip," to her via text. He wasn t being very supportive. Also, during lunch he always talks to his friends, and doesn t really talk to her a lot. Today he was sitting and talking to another girl, which made my friend feel a little bad. It may sound like my friend is being dramatic or whatever, but she s a good person, and I don t think she deserves to feel the way she does. Any advice on how I can help her, or what might be best for her?

I really like this girl and she likes me too, We have been friends for 4 months. We have been texting everyday, but she told me on Saturday that she's been going through a lot in her life lately, and she needs a little bit of time to fix her life before we can begin to date. But for the past 2 days she's been acting distant and hasn't been talking to me much. Today she told me she's been having a really bad day, and then she didn't reply to me anymore. If there are three in a friendship and one of them is a narcissist can you be honest. It all seems like such a crazy situation I am at the point where I am left without a voice, I tried ignoring this other person but I don't know how I got back in. Maybe for the sake of the other friend. She has been abusive to me I have not known her long but its hard to explain, one minute she thinks I'm wonderful and the next like I have done her harm. She disgarded me for no reason and stopped calling or texting or seeing me. She blanked me from her life and at first I was hurt and did confused. I was ill for a while then I recovered which is when she came back into my life but I started to become anxious and not sleeping. I felt like she wanted something from me and it was true, when I said that I could not she turned her back on me and posted indirect angry comments. This other friend does not know but I fear she has played victim. She posts a lot of pitiful things on her social media. I do not like to be fake but I am trying to protect myself from her but putting on a show. I will never forget a cold hard stare she gave me. Yet I am the only one who can see it and the only one she does this too. I helped her so much when we first met but I felt odd when she was overpraising me. I have the feeling she uses our other friend to get to me and find things out. I am starting not to sleep again and the stress seems to be coming back. To add there are four of us who usually meet up and she has just turned on me and outcast me. This was long before I said no to her. But she cared for only a short time. And there are many little things she did to me and the disregard she has for people she calls her friends.

I've see this happen all the time with a pair of bestfriends who are the opposite gender of each other. Im friends with these two girls lisa and janay and they are best friends. They argue like once a month and when they argue they always say they wont be friends anymore. They then go a day or two without talking and when they arent talking the girl lisa tends to call me a lot through out the day just to talk and we'll be on the phone for hours, but when they are fine she doesnt call me as much and it always seems like she lies/hurries off the phone to talk to lisa. A couple of days ago they argued and lisa cried because they werent friends anymore, so lisa hungout/called me more often. This time i told lisa that i feel like she uses me for when janay isnt friends with her and if it was true and she said no, but that night her and janay came friends again, they hung out, and lisa called me that night and i asked if shes calling me because of what i told her earlier and she said " a little bit" and that bothers me. I feel like shes calling me out of spite because her and janay are cool again. Instead of lisa telling me she wants to get off the phone with me and talk to janay she'll keep saying shes tired mid convo or she'll ask me if im tired. Like oneday i said "ima go to sleep in 10 mins" and lisa said "well, ill talk to you in the morning" and i said "i said in 10 mins, not now". By the 6th minute she asked me if i was going to sleep now, and when i finally said im going to sleep she hung up super quick. I care for Lisa but i feel like she doesnt care about me

Most romantic couples I've seen don't seem to have that strong of a bond. And also the people I've seen who are in a romantic relationship with another person seem to have a lot stronger bond with their platonic bestfriend than they do with their romantic partner. As a straight man who has been in a lot of romantic relationships with women, I've never had a strong bond with any of the women I was in a relationship with. Also my bond with my platonic bestfriends were a lot stronger than the bond I had with any of my girlfriends. I'm starting to think that having a platonic bestfriend is a lot better than having a romantic partner, since your platonic bestfriend is way more likely to be in your life till the end (unlike your romantic partner). About more than half of romantic relationships either end in a break up or divorce, while most platonic friendships don't end at all. So a romantic relationship most likely won't last till you die. But a platonic relationship will most likely last till you die.

I was talking to my friend on the phone and I wanted to go to sleep so I was just quiet and was trying to sleep and I heard him tell our friend that he thought I was asleep. he was playing video games and I never heard him say bye to our friend but there was no more talking or anything (he wasn't on mute because I heard other noises) but I woke up hours later and he was still on. why wouldn't he hang up if he knew I was sleeping?

I suffer with schizoaffective disorder it's not an easy ride, I suffer with mood disorders too, at the time I was struggling with really bad voices, and my friend who I thought was a friend, suddenly started telling people he was suffering with voices and mood disorder too but telling me that, but was fine to everyone else writing statuses tho so he got sympathy, then his wife tells me oh he was lying about all that stuff he just has ear ache cus of the call centre he works in, so all that fuss for nothing when I was genuinely struggling. I only have one friend, and she might be moving halfway across the country to another state. She is the only real friend I have. If she moves, how can I make new friends? Mostly everyone at my school bullies me, so I really don't know what to do. Any advice?

She asked me about this new girl in our school and said "do you think she's prettier than me?"

My friend was applying to scholarships and I was hoping to apply to the same one. After helping her with her application, I went to the guidance counselor to see if I could apply. My friend already didn't want me to apply as to not risk her not getting the scholarship but i just wanted to see if there were more available etc. The guidance counselor told me that it was «only for people who couldn't afford university otherwise » and that it was for those whose parents didn't work. I guess I just assumed that wasn't my friends situation so later in class I told her that the scholarship was only for people who couldn't afford it otherwise. She didn't really respond so I figured she was disappointed that she wasn't eligible. Later though she texts me saying « you CANT say that 'sh**' » and that she didn't care about the context and that everyone around us heard that she couldn't afford it. I genuinely had no idea she couldn't and I apologized profusely but i feel awful. What should I do to make up for it?
