Question: How should I end the engagement? Posted: 16 Feb 2018 11:28 AM PST I have been with this man for almost 3 years. But the past few months I have not been that happy. I don't feel like I love him as much as I did and I just feel like I'm giving up. He is obese and I am really into health and nutrition. It's kind of hard for me to be with someone that is that big. At first it didn't matter to me at all. He admits that he wants to change, and I know that i can't make him change. But I try to think of ways to help him, only when he asks. Like going to the gym together, which we have never done in the 3 years we have been together. I will try giving him ideas on what to eat instead of going out to Arbys. Nothing is changing. It's also impossible for us to have friends together because he always ruins the friendship for the both of us. He always thinks he's right about everything, and doesn't give me an opinion on what kind of trips we take together. I just feel like it's not going to work out and that I'm not going to show up to the wedding if I don't say something now. Oh, and I also already bought my wedding dress. We also talked many times before about all these issues, and still nothing has changed. There are many other issues as well. Like that he's terrible with money, he is a terrible employee wherever he works, he doesn't care about anyone elses feelings or what they might be going through. I really can't even think of anything that we both love that we do together. I just feel like I'm settling for something I don't want. |
