Question: Question regarding my liberal cousin possibly moving in? Posted: 11 Feb 2018 01:29 PM PST I have a cousin that just finished high school and she decided to attend the university that I am going to. Apparently she wants to move in with me as I am staying by myself in my apartment. My mother thought it would be a great idea, and told her that she can move in with me, even though I am the one paying rent. She is very liberal, and I am fairly conservative. I am a firearms owner and I know for a fact that she is going to freak out when she sees my firearms, a few years ago her family came to visit and I went hunting with my other cousin, she freaked out and started calling all hunters as murderers. My fear is that she is going to start something because of this. I live in Germany and legally speaking I am supposed to keep all of my firearms locked in a safe at all times. However given what is happening now with all of these refugees I have decided it would be safer to keep my 870 out in case one broke in. If she has a little fit and decides to report that am keeping my shotgun out of the safe I will have to pay hundreds in fines. I know we will not get along, we never have; she is spoiled and thinks she is entitled to everything. I am not sure if I should tell her that she cannot move in, or let her come. If I tell her not to, I know that it will become something bigger than it is, and I will have to hear about it for many years to come from the rest of my family. Should I just tell her not to move in? |
Question: My brother keeps trying to get the dog and cat to fight. What do I do? Posted: 11 Feb 2018 01:24 PM PST My little brother (8 yrs) is constantly trying to get the dog to bark and now even to fight with the cats. One time he walk out of his room to the cat as he motion to the dog to follow him. I told him to stop because he knows that they fight whenever their near each other. He said "I'm not trying to make them fight and walked away. Then when he thought I wasn't looking tried again. At that point I told my mom what was going on and her response was "you hate your brother and you want to get him in trouble. I don't even see the cat." At this point she had gone under the couch. My cat loves to sit in this little shoe box in the living room and the next day my brother decided he was going to pull the box over to the dog. He's not stupid so it's not like he was just innocently playing with her. The dog and cat started fighting as I told him to stop. And then I told my mother that this was purposely done on his part but of course she tried to prove me wrong by telling me that I'm biased and hate my little brother as well as saying she was under the table and he staged the box to her. I tell her that is not the case so she goes on to ask my brother who as expected say he wasn't not wanting to incriminate himself. My mom believes him instantly saying that he is no so malicious to do such a thing and I was wrong for thinking so. WHAT DO I DO? I'm scared the dog will end up seriously hurting my cat because he is so much bigger than her. |
Posted: 11 Feb 2018 01:17 PM PST Hello, my brother has not talked to my parents, and me, for about 5 years, family drama, and he tried to talk to me but I just ignored him, and he has recently came back into our lives, but I honestly do not want him to be around, because of them awful things he said about my mom (his mom too) but I believe things like that just don't go away, and his family is now living with us but they still spend their money a lot when they should be saving it, but he also is really rude to me and makes fun of the things I wear and the way I act, and when me and my parents have conversations about things he always think he should be involved. And he always says "I'm gonna make you a man" like wtf I am a man and if he doesn't like the way I am then he can just leave ya know. And I know other people say oh that's just how brothers act, but trust me it's gotten a lot worse because he gets angry at me when. I do something wrong when (ahem) his kids do the same thing like wth, so do I just put up with it till they move? (Also he gets mad when I ignore him, and he tells me what to do and he's not my parent so just because he's older he doesn't get that right, right?) sorry for the long paragraph I'm just sick of it and please let me know what I should do to, and I personally do not want to be associated with him because all he does is make me question what I'm doing and I don't need that in my life. Thanks |
Question: My family is underestimating me...? Posted: 11 Feb 2018 11:55 AM PST I love to sing and I know it will sound like I have a big ego, but I know I can sing. I did alot of research about music and vocals ever since I started singing and now I know a lot about it. So I can understand how good I am as a vocalist, but my family who know absolutely nothing about singing underestimates me. I've gotten this talent from my dad who has a good ear for music, but he's the one who's underestimating me the most. I've shown him so many videos of me singing, but it seems like I'm never going to convince him that I'm good enough to win a talent show. It feels like he will say I'm not good enough just because it's ME and not somebody else and it has nothing to do with the actual singing. I started thinking I'm going crazy because my dad keeps telling me I wouldn't even get through the first round in a talent show. It really hurts me and I've become so paranoid. I work so hard everyday, but my family keeps pulling down my confidence and it's really hard to go towards a dream when nobody believes in you. My dad is emotionally abusive. People on social media keep telling me that I have a really good voice, but inside of my home is a very different opinion about my singing. My dad tells me to stop believing in myself so I tell him that if nobody else believes in me then I need to do that myself. Also he really over estimates my sisters singing, she never tried to improve her vocal and her singing is very simple, but dad acts like she's a queen with a powerful vocal. |
Question: How can I keep my sanity while watching my sister for the week? Posted: 11 Feb 2018 11:44 AM PST I'm an 18 year old girl and I was left in charge of the house and my 4 year old sister for their 9 day cruise. My sister alone is a disaster and she fights me on everything. My parents also invited some extended family down to help out when I am at college or work, but I honestly think I could manage better by myself. The family staying here is constantly bothering me when I am working on homework and has taken up every room in the house. I can't even relax in my own bedroom because my sister has to share with me while they are here. My grandmother has terrible hearing and can't do much so the TV is always on a full volume. I'm worried because the primary caretaker when I leave the house is my brain-damaged aunt, who acts like another child, often arguing with or egging my sister on with the loudest and most grating voice I've ever heard. I'm in charge of food, cleaning, and taking care of our cats as well. I feel constantly overwhelmed and exhausted. I love my sister and family but it's only been two days and I am having anxiety attacks and crying because it's just too much. Does anyone have any advice at all for me? |

Question: Why do some people get insulted when you say they look young? Posted: 11 Feb 2018 09:20 AM PST It's meant in a good way or as a compliment. I'm 23 and people say I look 16. Whenever I reveal my age people always look surprised and they say I look younger. I know that's a compliment because they're saying I have good genes. But I've seen people flip out when someone mentions they look younger than their actual age. Like it's some kind of insult. Would they rather have someone say, "Wow you are 24? You look 50. Man when are you going to die? You look like ****. You are about ready to kick the bucket." I get that maybe someone doesn't want someone else broadcasting how young they look, they would find that annoying after a while. But I noticed its popular in our American culture to look young. Any thoughts? |
Question: Should I tell my parents and/or doctor I am depressed? Posted: 11 Feb 2018 09:08 AM PST I am currently a senior in high school, and have been dealing with depression and anxiety since sophomore year. It started of as mild and I was able to help myself by hanging out with friends and keeping myself busy. However, since the beginning of the school year my depression has gotten worse and I am truly starting to go downhill. I isolate myself from my friends and I have quit all the activities I used to love to do. I spend time alone at night sitting in the dark and just wishing that I could just get better. I am struggling very much right now with depression and while all my friends have noticed, neither of my parents have. I am scared to tell them as I feel like they wouldn't take me seriously. I have my annual physical with my doctor soon and I am debating on whether to tell my doctor so they could help me tell my parents. I am just scared at their reaction and that they will refuse to help me. I just feel alone in the world and I often times just want it all to end. What do you guys think I should do? |
Question: A question for teen boys? Posted: 11 Feb 2018 05:20 AM PST What would you like for your birthday? My brother's turning 15 and I don't know what to get him. He said he wanted something cool lol. Any ideas would be lovely thanks x |
Question: Anyone else think child support is unconstitutional? Posted: 11 Feb 2018 05:14 AM PST The only reason women today want kids is the child support checks and welfare benefits if the man cant pay he goes to jail totally unfair. If a man is ordered to pay I think the woman needs to have a drug test and a dna test should be administered since majority of women today are gold digging drug addicts. Anyone else agree with me |

Question: Kicked daughter out tonight.? Posted: 11 Feb 2018 01:15 AM PST Called police to get my 20 yr old daughter out my house. She moved in bout a month ago after being evicted for not paying rent. She knew there were rules if she came here. She violated every rule. No doing drugs or smoking cigarettes in the house (she's a meth addict). Clean up after yourself, No one is allowed in my house. (I work nights). EXTREMELY disrespectful, calls me out my name, I come home early and someone was in my house. She has nowhere else to go. My question is should I feel bad? |

Posted: 10 Feb 2018 02:44 PM PST Long story short, my parents had a nasty split up last year and are still undivorced. For at least 5 months after, my dad directed his anger and problems towards me. He would foam at the mouth, grab my arms, hold his hand up, etc. I would tell him to stop yelling at me and he would get louder, foam at the mouth, and yell at me telling me I'm just like my mother (that he has been calling ***** and whore every single second he gets the chance to), and threatened to kill me, and when I caught his threat, he tried to play it off and say he wasn't going to say that and try to gaslight me and victimize himself, saying he has no money, no support, nothing; even though he spends his money on cameras to make sure she doesn't step foot on our property, spends money on stupid bullshit like 4 new phones with bull excuses. This went on and on and on. Now, I turn 18 in 3 months, May 10. I'm homeschooled. I want to move in with my mom until I turn 18, and can move in with my awaiting best friend (in the nearby state). My dad starts a new job next week, he'll be gone for 1-2 weeks at a time. I am deathly afraid he will call the police despite I'll give him a new phone number to contact me by when he wants. I'll clearly note him I am with my mother. I know how insane he gets; and I'm afraid he'll do stupid bullshit that will get me in trouble. They aren't even legally divorced whatsoever, so neither of them get the right to "have" me at a certain time. Any help? |
Question: Can a child who runs away from a care home be tracked to where they are staying ? Posted: 10 Feb 2018 02:09 PM PST Hiya, my partner is living in care and lives 190 miles from me. He's decided to run away to me soon for a few days to get a break from the carers. We met once and the carers found out and said my parents weren't safegarding me. He's going to get a bus to me. Is there anyway the carers will find out where he is and that he's been staying at mine without him or my parents saying anything ? Thank you (: |
