And he has a 2016 Nissan Titan truck (platinum edition) and he doesn't let us eat or drink in it. Doesn't he sound gay ? |
Question: Will it cause a problem if I don't tell my sister about this? Posted: 09 Feb 2018 01:02 PM PST I was laid off from my job and my unemployment benefits were about to run out. Jobs are VERY hard to find in our area. I was desperate to find a job ANY JOB and I only know one person in the business community that might give me some advice on finding a job and that was Joe, my sister's ex husband. I was SCARED TO DEATH but I finally got up the courage to call him and ask if he could give me some advice on how to find a job. He told me to meet him at his office that afternoon. I was afraid he would be mad at me because of his divorce from my sister. Instead he gave me a big hug when he greeted me and said "You are as beautiful as I remember you." That took all my fears away. I told him I needed advice on finding a job. He ask me if I could start to work for him tomorrow. I have been working for him for 7 months now. He is the greatest boss EVER. I and all the other employees just adore him. He never mentions my sister or says anything about her and neither do I. I am afraid to tell my sister about my new job. I hope she has moved on with her life and I don't want to cause her any problems. I don't know many details about her divorce but it WAS NOT BITTER. Advice please on how I should tell my sister what I did. Eventually she is going to find out I am working for her ex. Will she be mad at me for not telling her or will she understand I just did not want to cause her any problems? |
Question: My mom caught me smoking weed.? Posted: 09 Feb 2018 12:53 PM PST im 15 and my mom caught me smoking last night. weed is the only thing i smoke i dont do any other drugs. i was walking outside and smoking by myself i sometimes smoke to not feel stressed and sad becuase i have a lot of family problems and school got me stressed *** ****. i sprayed perfume and took off my sweater so i wouldnt smell when i walked in the house, i even put eye drops i did all the things i can to not get caught. when i walked in my mom starred at me all suspicious. she walked up to me and snatched my sweater off my hands and found my lighter. she was very angry and lost all the trust she had with me. she started saying things that werent true and she started assuming i smoked with boys and sneaked out to hang out with guys. she even said i sucked dick to get weed witch is not true! i dont do any of those bad things im a responsible person i get good grades i dont do anything bad i dont talk to guys. i smoke by myself and i do it pretty much everyday. but she was so upset with me she even started crying! i felt bad when she was crying because i hate seeing her cry. but the thing i dont understand is why is it so bad? what should i do to gain her trust again? how do i explain to her that weed isnt that bad on how she think it is? she thinks that weed is literally the worst thing in the world and she even said imma become dumb and stupid if i keep smoking it. so what do you think should i do? |
Question: Will Child protective services take all the children from a home with multiple families? Posted: 09 Feb 2018 12:35 PM PST Say two sisters live with each other. The first sister has an 11 yo son who was recently reported to CPS for not attending school, and the second sister who just had a baby. The sister with the baby keeps telling the first sister to make her son go to school, but wont listen to her. Will CPS take both children away or just the 11yo? |
Posted: 09 Feb 2018 09:15 AM PST It was just a good prank and they say it every day at school like your cruel, child abuser! And this guy abuses his sister! It probably won't do good to tell them because it seem so real and they are still saying it years later |
Question: Is it normal for an 11 year old to be so desperate for attention? Posted: 09 Feb 2018 07:31 AM PST This little girl would talk to anyone, even strangers. She bullied another child at school and then claimed that she just wants them to "like" her. The child was questioned for a funny way of showing it. This same girl shows other odd behaviour - asking people way too many questions. Sometimes they're related to boyfriends and puberty, other times it's about personal life and random things. She doesn't realize that talking to certain people will put her at risk so she isn't aware of "bad people" at all. |
Question: What would you do if your dad treated you like a slave? Posted: 09 Feb 2018 05:48 AM PST Iam a 38 year old women. Well my dad treats me like a slave I feel that it is unfair I cook and clean and buy all the groceries he does nothing I was sharing my internet with him I took that back. just cause he is giving me a place too live does not mean he should treat me like a slave |
Question: How can I let my MIL know she cannot tag along everywhere with us? Posted: 09 Feb 2018 05:10 AM PST I have a MIL who is nosey and in our business. She asks details about MY familys business, she constantly wants to come over my house, she has even walked in my house without warning and snooped around quietly without me knowing. Now shes moved on to another thing, she wants to go wherever we go. We live in PA and this year for vacation we want to visit my high school best friend in Arizona. Well now she thinks shes coming and she s already started saving for her plane ticket. We got into an arguement about when to go and for how long. Just yesterday I mentioned to my husband about going to Germany, his response was "we need to get my mom her passport". I snapped and said im not lugging his mother around another country. And she acts this way even for day trips. Sometimes we go to NY and NJ for stuff to do and we cant put pictures on facebook anymore because in the past she has cried in the comments saying we excluded her and she would have went too if we told her, so she makes us look horrrible on social media. Its not so much that we dont want to include her, its hard. She s older, she has medical conditions that prevent her from walking for longer than 5 minutes without needing a break. She also has no control over her bowels so she is in adult briefs. So for these reasons I literally feel like we "lug" her around rather than enjoy her company. My husband is no help in the matter. He wont stand up to her even though he feels the same. So now im always the bad guy. |
Question: Why do some families in America not have Christmas together when it is the family holiday? Posted: 09 Feb 2018 04:39 AM PST |
Posted: 09 Feb 2018 03:52 AM PST My sisters could be very mean to me when we were younger. Their crimes included tying me to a tree and leaving me there for like an hour, constantly belittling me because of my weight ( I was a chunky girl, pretending like they were going to dunk my head under water when we were in the pool ( I was beyond terrified of going under the water!) Probably the worst one happened when our parents left us in the car while they did their shopping. My oldest sister would ask my other sister if she would like to torture me. It was always a yes! They would tie my coat sleeves together and plug my nose and cover my mouth so I couldn't breathe. When they let me breathe I would scream and had tears running down my face from anger and just being upset. It went on the whole time my parents shopped. Is this normal for siblings to even do this stuff? I am also a little angry at my parents because I would tell them what happened and they wouldn't believe me! Two questions. Is it normal for me to still be a little angry at 36 years old and is it normal for siblings to "pick on their younger siblings in this manner? |
Question: What to do when your roommate turns up the heater? Posted: 09 Feb 2018 12:19 AM PST I usually set the heater to 72-74 during the day.. and i turn it down to 70 when we sleep bc it gets very dry if it is set too high.. however..sometimes my roommate will turn up the heater to 78-80 degrees and i wake up sweating so much that my shirt gets soaked with sweat and i feel like suffocating from the strong heater.. so i have to get up and turn it down again but then i have to turn my fan on bc its so hot that i can not sleep.. and she will also turn it up when im not home or when im in my room and it just gets so hot... i understand it is cold outside but.. it just makes the apartment really dry and i dont know why she turns it up so high..i guess she doesnt get hot bc it will just stay like that until i get home.. shes from china so i dont think she understands fahrenheit but i dont wanna get mad because i dont wanna seem selfish and make her stay cold since this is our apartment.. i dont know why but i also lived with another chinese roommate before i moved in here and she would also turn the heater up to about 80 degrees.. but it didnt really bother much since i only stayed with her for a month in the winter.. so do people in china really live with the heater that high? even if i do talk to her about this... how would we decide what temp to set the heater to? because she gets cold.... if i do the way i want, but if we do it the way my roommate wants to then ill be sweating all day in my room but my roommate will be warm.. i guess i can ask her to buy a heater..but ill feel bad bc we are staying here temporarily and she told me she had to take all her stuff back to china over the summer.. so i think she is trying really hard to not buy so much stuff.. also.. i never really talk to her because we are both shy.. |
Question: Is this good or bad parenting? Posted: 08 Feb 2018 10:08 PM PST I got the flu and my mom came in my room to talk about how "stubborn" i was because i didn't wear hat and gloves when it was snowing outside (wasn't that cold and nobody had a hat on). Uhh i told my mom that and she started screaming at me saying im mentally sick and started switching the subject to be about school. i didnt want my mom to be mad so i said "ok ok you're right i agree with you" many times to calm her down. she starts screaming at me more for some reason and i couldn't handle it so i started crying and then my mom didn't even leave or try to relax. she instead yelled even louder saying that im stubborn and i never listen and that im mentally sick for having a different opinion. i rushed and said "im sorry you're right im sorry" but she started saying i have bad attitude and kept screaming at me!! i didn't do anything wrong and she's making things up like how i have bad attitude when im not and i feel really bad because my mom verbally abused me saying that im a mentally sick person!! |
Question: Do you ever feel pressured by your family to finish your education early? Posted: 08 Feb 2018 09:47 PM PST I grew up in a poor family. I graduated college and am attending a masters. Sometimes I feel I want to obtain another degree, but my family pressures me to go to work asap. I have another sibling, but they moved out and work an ok job. So I am expected to work and help out my parents. |
Question: Why doesn't my dad like my paintings? Posted: 08 Feb 2018 08:58 PM PST Like I'll be painting and he'll walk in and say something like why are you doing that. Like he doesn't get it or something. I started selling them I got 200 bucks for one and he was like what? for that? Everyone else seems to love them but he has never said one good thing about them. And that kills me. |
Question: Should I pledge a fraternity behind my parents back? Posted: 08 Feb 2018 08:45 PM PST Ever since my friends older brother got arrested in a hazing scandal that led to a kid dying my mom has been anti-fraternity. A couple years later I'm in my senior year of high school (today). I believe my mom is still against me joining a fraternity. However I really want to join one. Mostly for networking and boosting my resume once I'm applying for jobs out of college. (Parties are fun too but I think of that as a bonus). However, a couple years ago, my mom said that if I ever joined a fraternity she wouldn't pay for me to go thru college. How can I y'all to my mom and convince her about the benefits? Also how much is the cost to room? Will it be enough to get away with? |

Posted: 08 Feb 2018 07:01 PM PST He got custody of me and is my legal guardian. Which I hate. I can only see my parents when he's with me and only for one day on the weekends. I hate this so much. Like he won't let me be alone with them. They have like tax fraud or something. He's so strict he yells at me all the time. He literally won't let me do anything until my homework is done. What should I do? |
Posted: 08 Feb 2018 06:36 PM PST We drew names for our Secret Santa at Christmas 2017 for next year, Christmas 2018. So throughout the year I am supposed to do good deeds. I drew my uncle who lives in Green Bay and was not there at Christmas (he's a priest) but we included his name. So what good deeds can I do for him without him knowing its me until next Christmas? He is usually here at Christmas but was not this past year. I will likely see him next at my cousins wedding Memorial Day weekend but I can't tell him I am his Secret Santa until Christmas. It has been over a month since Christmas so I figure I should do a good deed by now. |
Question: I hate my mom sometimes.? Posted: 08 Feb 2018 06:29 PM PST So I'm going to delete this later, but I just want some opinions. What kind of a person do you think my mom is? I'll give some examples. 1 : I'm 14, and in 8th grade, and I'm taking the SAT in May. If I score 540 or more out of 1,600, I get to enroll in a college class for one semester. She keeps yelling at me because I didn't start studying for it yet. "Why did you make me buy the books if you're not going to study?" Even though I payed for the book with my own money (It's not money I got from her.) She started yelling about it for no reason, and then said if I get a low grade on it, I can't take guitar class, do horse back riding, or work. This actually happened a few minutes ago. 2 : She always says she'll do something, but she doesn't. So we have a membership to a pool, and she's always like "I'll take you tomorrow.", but she never does. 3 : She is so lazy. I have a cut on my thumb, and it hurt really bad so I asked if we have bandaids, and she said that they're in the bathroom cabinet. I went and I couldn't find any, so I asked her to help me, but she said no. She always does this with everything. 4 : She always criticizes my weight. She's overweight too. I'm trying to lose weight, and it's actually something I'm really insecure about. And this is one of the only things she ever talks about. She says I'm as big as a house, aren't I ashamed when my friends walk around like sticks, and I'm huge, etc etc. She'll yell about it out of nowhere sometimes. |
Question: How to convince my parents to help me buy my first car? (I’m 15)? Posted: 08 Feb 2018 06:15 PM PST I'm getting my license in April and I want to have a car by at next by next year at Christmas... I have a vehicle but it's old and kind of crappy so I want to save up to get a better one. I'll have a job from April-October (I work at an icecream shop) and I've figured in that time I'll be able to make about $3500 during that time (I subtracted my phone bill costs and added my tips to what I'd get on my pay check each month) How much do you think I could convince my parents to chip in? $500? $1000? My parents just make both make average wages but we are by no means poor I'm not naive or stupid, I know that I have to work for what I want because my parents just make average but i feel like I could get them to pitch in. I need ideas of how to convince them!! Also if I can't get them to pitch in, what other ways can I make quick money? Another job isn't an option probably because I'll have tons of stressful and really important classes next year and I want early admission so I have to be dedicated to my schooling. Thanks:) |
Question: How do I bring this up to my mom? Posted: 08 Feb 2018 05:44 PM PST I'm 15 (female) and I want to discuss emancipation with her. I feel that perhaps it is best if we part ways. But the problem is, anytime someone says something she doesn't like, she lashes out and gets violent. |
Question: How to cope with the loss of a family member? Posted: 08 Feb 2018 05:39 PM PST My grandmother passed away yesterday...and I'm struggling to find peace of mind. She was the only good person on my father's side of the family and they didn't even tell me she was sick. And then they said I was to blame for not being around enough to be informed when I confronted them about it...I hate how they are pinning the blame on me when I've been working out of state and 2 other part time jobs yet they said I'm not around. I can't think straight and deal with the sad truth that she is gone because they keep blaming me...what can I do to help this situation? |
Posted: 08 Feb 2018 04:55 PM PST How can I get this Christmas to be the best ever? Please advise. |

Question: How do I stop raging at my Mom and calling her abhorrent words? Posted: 08 Feb 2018 03:23 PM PST I am 16 and I don't hate her but feel like I do most the time. I even pulled a knife on her last December and now feel bad about it. I do this about once a week and my Dad says my Mom brings it on herself so I live with him now but I want to see my Mom again one day even though she is a *****. My Dad is cool so I hang with him now. |
