Question: If someone lies to you often, can you still consider them a friend? Posted: 14 Feb 2018 05:34 PM PST |
Posted: 14 Feb 2018 05:18 PM PST I'm a junior in highschool. I used to have good friends and now I have like 0. That is because I struggle mentally and distanced myself from the friends that I had and I was in a relationship and got really caught up in that. Now I am really having a lot of trouble making friends at my school so I want to transfer schools to have a fresh start. I have explained this to my dad and he said that he isn't going to let me transfer schools. I am going to Florida with just him and I really want to try and convince him so what should I do??? |
Question: Was he trying to make me jealous? Posted: 14 Feb 2018 04:33 PM PST I was talking to a male friend and the topic of dancing was brought up at some point. I teased him about how awful his dancing skills were and then proceeded in asking if he's ever seen "Step Up" which features Channing Tatum in it. He obviously is well aware and then suddenly says "His wife is hot" while walking away. But just as he walks away, he quickly turns his head back to look at me for my reaction. After that, he started to daze off as he tries to remember what he needed to do and I asked him if he was thinking about Channing's wife. The guy I like started laughing and walks right passed me saying "no I'm not thinking about his wife. I'm not a dog, but thanks" |
Question: I just got rejected...? Posted: 14 Feb 2018 03:55 PM PST She was really nice about it but whenever I go to school I get paranoid that she told a bunch of people cause I feel like people stare at me. Also, I have her in my math class and its a little awkward because we just don't even mention what happened we just show each other funny pictures. I am not mad or sad that I got rejected, I'm just pissed that I am going to lose/change a good friendship. I also regret asking her out because if I didn't we would both be having a good time in math class laughing at jokes and complaining about random stuff. I want to keep our friendship strong but I feel like it will never be the same again... HELP! |
Question: Do you find this lame or not ? Posted: 14 Feb 2018 03:43 PM PST Do you find this lame for a person to only have two friends |
Question: I've lost my only two friends? Posted: 14 Feb 2018 03:42 PM PST The three of us have been great friends and shared a lot of great times. We use to talk about being friends forever and being active in one another's lives even as we got older and well, things of course changed. They're both mid twenties but I'm 18. I use to work with them but struggled with depression and tried to end things. I guess that's when things sort of changed. I got fired for being gone even though I had all the medical documents excusing my absents. For a while they ignored me because they didn't know how to talk with me. They stayed at that company despite me being fired and all my coworkers going cold on me. I use to be angry at them, but I'm growing and learning to forgive and realizing that's where they belong. When we finally started talking they acted as if they hadn't left me and I got over that because I wanted my friends back. But ever since what happened, they grew more and more distant. One has decided to go into the military and I'm glad for her. I invite her wanting to see her before she goes, but she always had a reason to cancel. I finally realized she cancelled because of invites from other friends. I stopped trying and she hasn't talked to me in a few weeks. My other friend sometimes messages me and invites me out but it's like once a month and she's usually busy with other people. I know it's because of what I did they've become so distant and I do regret it...I was just hopeless at that moment and I didn't know what to do anymore. |
Posted: 14 Feb 2018 03:02 PM PST Like I know there are very few out there that might be into white guys but the odds are not really good so I fear that is usually not worth trying... any advice? |
Posted: 14 Feb 2018 02:16 PM PST Whether you're a guy or girl (and single). My friend didn't insist, just suggested, and was cool with my refusal. I'm trying to be 'open-minded', but can't see him the same again. Could you, if it were you? Or maybe I'm just old-fashioned? Anyway, I'm feeling particularly uncomfortable around him now. I've known him since college, so I don't know how to avoid him imperceptibly. Thanks. |

Question: How can I help my friend ? Posted: 14 Feb 2018 11:47 AM PST My friend is Christian he's trying to give up something for the Lent season he decides not to eat snacks for 6 weeks. It's already driving him crazy he's hungry all the time I wouldn't be surprised if he was back to eating stuff by tomorrow. It's all he does all day long is eat. Even while he's working he thinks about food sometimes has a little snack with him. He doesn't drive so he can't go anywhere or else he get out of the house try to get his mind off food. When he's hungry he just drinks water if he doesn't feel like having a meal or fruit. This is gonna drive him mad he wishes he hadn't decided to give up on snacks. I think he's already loosing his mind. We're gonna have dinner in a little while. It's too cold and wet to go outside. How can I help him ? |
Question: Paid for a product I never got, how can I approach the person about it? Posted: 14 Feb 2018 09:53 AM PST I love aprons. Not the frilly kind, but functional aprons. Back in October 2017, I was told that one of my neighbors is a seamstress. I needed 4 aprons. I provided the fabric, and the pattern with a promise to pay $20 the first of Nov, and another $20 the first of Dec. Nov 1st, I made the first payment. She came to my home with the fabric and questions about how I wanted them made. I thought, OK, she didn't want to make them till she was sure she was getting her money. She seemed excited saying she had ideas for it that she wanted to do, I told her to make decorated them how she wanted as long as they were functional full-length aprons. Dec 1st, I made the second and last payment. January, I asked her about them, and she said it was taking her a while cause she was being creative. It is now two weeks into Feb. This is a woman that does a lot of charitable work in our community and stays very busy. I don't want to nag her. I have since then, bought two aprons on eBay for $4, and plan on buying two more. How can I approach her about these aprons without sounding nagging? |
Question: PLEASE ANSWER! Why do the other kids at school hate me? Posted: 14 Feb 2018 08:55 AM PST Please read the details before you answer. This is pretty important (and by pretty important, a bully actually almost set me on fire). If you answer with a real answer, you are the best ❤️❤️. So I used to be friends with this group but all they did was use me for "entertainment". They think it's funny and stupid that I love acting, singing and dancing. I don't smoke, wear all black, drink or swear like them. I focus on performing arts and animals and stuff. After, like, 2 weeks they all chorused "YOU CANT SIT WITH US!" at me and bullied me really badly. I tried another group but they did exactly the same stuff. I tried every group but they did exactly the same stuff. I just wanna be loved, but everyone else at my school thinks I'm some kind of mental freak cuz I love to sing. They call me names and talk about me behind my back (but really loud so I can actually hear it). I'm just not like them. I am a free spirit and upbeat, while they just follow the crowd like some kind of sheep clone. I wear pastel colours while they just wear black on black. They hate the way I talk (I talk normal, but they talk like "oi scuzza, we've got some right baef, ee-neet?") They think I'm mental cuz I just do what I want when I want and I don't let anyone stop me. I just wanna be free. What do I do? PS: I've actually joined clubs before but nobody in my grade goes to clubs, so I quit. I am (metaphorically, duh) made of glitter and music while they are made of tracksuits and smoke. |
Posted: 14 Feb 2018 08:06 AM PST Caught in an awful situation ..and can't study besides my exceptional talents(as others say) I ve got four months to study but my parents want me to fail I need a friend to talk everyday about daily attempts I make my scores etc I know I may sound ridiculous but I need a friend badly |
Question: Any ideas on how to make friends ? Posted: 14 Feb 2018 07:55 AM PST I'm in high school and I have no friends, I'd really like to have someone to talk to but I'm a bit shy and nobody really seems to want to talk to me ☆ Sent from iOS Dr. Know! 1.1.04 |
Question: Is she a good friend or a bad friend? Posted: 14 Feb 2018 06:25 AM PST So I've had this friend for a long time. I'm not trying to mean about anything. But there has been times like right now, where she won't text me or call me. It's been awhile but she's doing that phase with me again. But she'll go on social media and tag other people in her posts that have to do with being best friends with them, but won't tag me. Then if I go on social media and I'm upset and vent about something in general or anything, she'll see it but not reply to it or text me wondering if I'm okay or not. She'll see my stuff on there, like pictures, posts, etc. but won't even talk to me? This has happened a few times and when it does sometimes if she does she'll randomly text me saying we shouldn't be friends or asking if we are because we're being distant, or that I'm being distant when it's actually her doing all of that and I'll be getting a text like that for no reason. We're sipposed to be best friends, but I feel like she replaces me sometimes talking to someone that she hasn't known for so long but considers them their best friend. I know you can have more than one. But it makes me feel bad sometimes. We did hang out a week ago but that was it and haven't talked since but she's always on social media. I'm tired of feeling like that and going through all of that. Is it worth staying friends or not? Am I at fault for any of this happening? |
Question: How many times can you rip rancid a$$ before your friends realize it was you? Posted: 14 Feb 2018 06:11 AM PST I have been dropping some absolute bombs I've been away from my friends so it's not a problem but now I will join them can I get away with 2 do you think before they figure out it's me? Or just one? I'll play it safe if I have to but the pressures are immense today and it will be very uncomfortable to hold in all the farts I'd like to let a couple of them go if I can. |
Question: So this is kind of a two-part qustion about bullying(???) and "friends"? Posted: 14 Feb 2018 05:28 AM PST First part, I feel as though I'm being 'shunned' at school and it's driving me crazy. Basically when I enter rooms everyone stops talking and stares at me (not in a normal way when you enter a room and people look to see who it is, it's long and awkward and unsettling), I lost an crazy amount of friends in a short amount of time, a lot of people ignore me, I'm in the musical and LITERALLY one time I made a joke and some people just glared at me and not one person laughed but then one of the leads literally cracked the EXACT SAME JOKE and everyone roared in laughter (musical participants were always fake anyway) but that's just scratching the surface for musical The worst one for me that people always say is not a big deal is these people try to to steal the little friends I have left. When me and my friends are talking, they'll come and interrupt us to talk to only them and if I try to chime in, the person just gets silent, glares, or laughs awkwardly... So I basically have to stand there awkwardly while I wait for them to get finished. I could go on all day about what people do but I wanna give some background(?) In middle school (I'm a senior now) one of my friends told me some "rules" for school, one of them being "If you try the dress better in the middle of the school year, no one will talk to you. You have to wait until next year" and I know how dumb it sounds because even I at that age called bullshit. So I did it anyway in high school. This sounds SO dumb |
Question: My older sisters friend keeps coming on to me! What should I do? Posted: 14 Feb 2018 04:23 AM PST I'm 13 & a guy! My older sisters friend keeps coming on to me every time she comes to our house! She tells me all the time how cute I am & how I don't look 13! She is either 16 or 17. The other day when my sister had to leave for a few minutes, she came into my room while I was sitting at my desk on the computer! She sat on my bed at 1st then kept moving closer! We were talking & laughing, the next thing I know, she is sitting on my lap & starts kissing me! I don't know whether to tell my sister or not or keep it to myself! Should I talk to my sisters friend about it? What should I do???????? |
Question: Is it ok if I practice massage on this guy even though he has a girlfriend? Posted: 14 Feb 2018 03:35 AM PST This guy has a girlfriend I didn't know it at first. I sent him a Facebook message asking him if he wanted to be FWB. He said he wish he would have got my number sooner. And asked how would I feel about being with him and another girl. I told him I was thinking he and I could hookup. He said had it been two years ago he would have loved to because he was always into me. He's been asking me about letting me practice on him since September. When I first told him I was in massage school. And even now that he knows that I want him sexually he still said he would be my study buddy for practicing massage. |
Question: Your thoughts on a ridiculous, corny rant about friendship.? Posted: 14 Feb 2018 12:35 AM PST Hi all, so I have recently become friends with my roommate's boyfriend. No, this isn't about how I like him now. Instead, I deeply value that friendship that we have. He's probably the first person that I can easily talk about with anything, and he's the first friend that I feel that I am able to express myself freely. Our personalities just click, and I am just so grateful to have someone like that in my life. This is all completely platonic, and I have no romantic interest in him whatsoever. However, I've noticed that our friendship can't really grow...he is distancing himself from me because of his girlfriend. I guess I understand why, if we look too buddy-buddy. And of course, his girlfriend is his first priority. It's just that I finally feel that I truly bonded with someone for the first time in my life, so it's just really upsetting that we can't be close friends. From this emotionally-charged, dramatic rant, I was wondering if I could get any advice/thoughts. Thanks! |

Question: Should I stop being friends with a girl because she's a goldigger? Posted: 13 Feb 2018 07:49 PM PST |
Question: She won't hang out with me, but asks me to help her? Posted: 13 Feb 2018 07:46 PM PST I'm trying to break off my friendship with this person who belittles me and has no care for my feelings. She has ditched me in the past, never includes me in things and never makes plans with me. Funny we had an argument about me wanting to see her more yesterday and an hour ago she asks me if I can help her get settled into her apartment. She expects me to help her clean and organize it, too. She said she would buy me food. Maybe in her mind she thinks I'll be happy because I'll be around her, but in reality this is so shitty. She just wants help, she doesn't want to actually hang out with me. Why is she like this? She has a best friend, her boyfriend she will be living with and her family who can help her with these things. Why does she treat me like garbage? I did not say no but I didn't say yes either. I thought I'd be the bigger person for being polite about it. Was I wrong? |
Question: Jealous of my bestfriends new friend.? Posted: 13 Feb 2018 07:40 PM PST So me and my friend have been best friends for over 6 years and she is my only friend I have. She does have other people that she calls her best friends but she has told me that I am the closest friend she has ever had and, you know we are pretty much like sisters. Well a few weeks ago she met this new girl at her job and they instantly clicked. Ever since they have been constantly hanging out tagging each other in stuff and going to bridal events together ( which btw I am the Maid of Honor and haven't been to a single thing... ) and shes been constantly posting videos of them hanging out but when I ask what shes doing she is always like oh you know... our schedules are too different... I'm too busy and we literally have to plan a month in advance to hang out. Whereas when there are times I'm free and I could see her shes with her.. but shes too busy right? Am I just being paranoid or am I really getting shoved away...? I've tried to talk to her about it but she got defensive with me instead and kept talking about how she wants me to meet her so I can love her too. But honestly at this point. I almost hate her. I know its petty but I just feel so jealous because I feel like my only friend is being taken away from me and I don't know what to do. Advice? |
