Question: How do i make new friends? Posted: 22 Feb 2018 05:39 PM PST All my friends have left for university in different cities. I'm not financially supported enough to attend college in a different city. I'm 17 years old (turning 18 in may) and am planning on getting a job and starting university in july (second semester) since application for first semester has been closed (first semester starts on the 26th of feb) ... How do i make new friends? I have no social life and have no opportunities to make any :/ |
Posted: 22 Feb 2018 04:45 PM PST so I have a small problem. I was with my friends in the car and in the back seat, I had my megaphone. He started saying couple funny jokes using the megaphone but we didn't curse or harass anyone. We did it when we left the school and it wasn't school property. At the red light in front of was our school principal. He gets out and comes around my car to grab the megaphone from my friend. Did he have any rights to do that? It's not like we were super loud and it was only 3pm. |
Posted: 22 Feb 2018 04:00 PM PST I've been friends with these two girls for a long time, and they haven't always been the nicest. I have gotten upset over it in the past, and don't really consider them friends anymore. It got even worse when they started to like boys. It's all they talk about. I just happen to be friends with a lot of boys, and they keep messing with me about it, despite my constant disliking of it.They ridicule my interests and belittle me time and time again. They are very codependent, and I never see them apart, and they never seem to want to do anything with me. Despite all this, we are still in many situations where I have to hang out with them, and I hate it. There's something stopping me from ending the relationship, but I don't know why, since I am getting nothing out of it. What should I do? My friends are mean and obsessed with boys. I want to cut ties with them, but I've known them forever and I think I would feel bad. What should I do? Disregard the update; I am new to Yahoo Answers. |
Question: Yes I know he has a girlfriend, but do you think he will let practice massage on him? Posted: 22 Feb 2018 02:22 PM PST ME:Do you want to be friends with benefits? HIM:I wish you would've given me your number years ago. How do you feel about being with me and another girl? ME:Wow. I was thinking that maybe we might hookup but I guess not lol. HIM:2 years ago I would've loved to ME:I understand. HIM:the lady likes ladies though ME:Nevermind me saying anything I was out of line anyway. I thought you were single and was just looking for some fun. HIM:I was ME:Ok I just always thought you were sexy. I don't know what I was thinking lol. It's crazy but I apologize. HIM:Don't I was always into you too ME:Well we can still be friends. HIM:good ME:I'm thinking about going back to massage school part time I really miss it. HIM:I'll still be your study buddy ME: It's just that a threesome is a little much for me. I've never really been sexually involved with a guy. HIM:but you've been with girls, so how bout being involved with the girl while I sit back and watch? ME:I've never been with a woman either. HIM:oh so you're a gem, then? Like I said, I wish I got your number years ago. we could've been having such fun ME:I wish you hadn't of waited so long to ask for my number. I feel like I missed out lol. ME:Can we still hangout? HIM:you were always with your family I feel like I never had you alone and I thought you were too young absolutely. I have to go now though. I'll ttyl *I know he has a girlfriend you don't need to tell me that* |
Question: I feel like I’m losing my best friend - please help.? Posted: 22 Feb 2018 12:40 PM PST I genuinely feel like I'm 10 again having to write this, but here it goes. Right, well - I recently, well a year ago started at a new school along with my best friend ( which for this scenario I will name Jessie ). Jessie and I were always very close friends, and we have been for a very long time and, although we've known eachother for ages, we've had very few fights. The 2 of us have always had other friends, and have had no problem with it. We don't feel the need to spend every second with eachother, we're still best friends, regardless. This year, a new girl ( we'll call her Maria ) arrived. We became friends, but I got the sense that she didn't really like me that much, and was only there to talk to Jessie. When Jessie wasn't there, all she talked about was her, and made snide remarks such as "When Jessie isn't here, there's NOBODY to talk to...". I feel uncomfortable and unwanted when I'm around them. Maria annoys me with the comments she's made, i.e. "This conversation doesn't involve you" when talking to Jessie and even asking Jessie to hang out with her when I was right beside them. What's more is that i hae to spend 2 weeks with them at a summer camp. I don't know what to do, I don't want to lose my best friend because of this stupid girl who doesn't want me around. She's clearly being passive aggressive and just straight up rude to me. What am I supposed to do??? She's a nice girl at times but these remarks make me feel terrible! |
Question: Is it okay to ignore text messages? Posted: 22 Feb 2018 12:21 PM PST I have this new friend that has gotten very clingy in the past few months. She texts me every day. I enjoy spending time with her in person but I have told her several times both in person and through text that I am not huge fan of texting unless it is to make plans. She will ask me what I am up to almost everyday and, even though I keep things vague, it is starting to feel very invasive. I have been trying to wait a day to text her back but then she will text me several times in a row. Is it completely rude if I just ignore the texts when she asks what I am doing? |
Question: Is it creepy if someone...? Posted: 22 Feb 2018 11:03 AM PST I have a friend who has sections of human hair on his phone case and rubs it against his face and says that it feels tasty and delicious. Should he be concerned? I already am, but he thinks that it's normal. |

Question: How to tell a friend to stop over reacting? Posted: 22 Feb 2018 10:31 AM PST I'm friends with this girl and she has a habit of taking things REALLY personally. You could say something that isn't supposed to be offensive and she'll give you the silent treatment for days and won't stop until it's convenient for her. I think she's annoying but she's my best friend and I love her. How can I get her to stop? Or should I just leave her be? We're high school students and I want to tell her to grow up. |
Posted: 22 Feb 2018 10:18 AM PST I'm not shy but people think that because of this problem..I think my crush likes me but I'm afraid to talk to him 😞 Can you give me some advice? |
Question: Is it okay to be slightly upset? Is my friend being a bit selfish, or is it me? Posted: 22 Feb 2018 09:56 AM PST I have my first track meet today, and I'm nervous. I ask my friend if she could come, because it's really important to me (so is she). I knew if I had a good friend there, it would be fun, and I wouldn't be as nervous. Anyway, she called me and told me she wasn't coming because she didn't feel comfortable driving there by herself. Anyways, this wouldn't be a problem, but yesterday I took a huge step in my life, and I called her (also because I had a mini panic attack, but I wanted to share the story of how amazing it was) and she didn't answer because she said she was too tired to talk. I'm just wondering if I'm being selfish, or is it her? |

Question: Is this guy probably mad at me or was he being funny? Posted: 22 Feb 2018 09:06 AM PST He asked me out a couple months ago but I was sort of seeing someone else and I think I kind of blew him off. We haven't hung out since then. I texted him yesterday if he wanted to go out sometime. He texted back "I got a new phone a couple months ago. Who is this?" I told him it was me and asked if he wanted to go out Friday. He texted back "no. Do you?" |
Question: Should I tell Dustin that he's the most annoying person who ever lived? Posted: 22 Feb 2018 06:39 AM PST He calls eating "refueling" |
Posted: 22 Feb 2018 06:23 AM PST Im nearly 16 and I'm 1st grade of middle school. I live 20 km from my school, so in a village. I have a brother. Now what I realized is that I really have no friends. I talk to my classmates but that's only during school. I'm capable of making them laugh but I realized that I'm that kid who eats alone with his brother dury lunchtime. They all smoke and drink, and I don't want to do that. But everyone is like that. There's a few girls that don't as well but they're really childish. And at my village, the kids are all a bit of rednecks. So I have no one to be friends with. And to top it all my brother signed up for the spelling bee contest. Great, I'm gonna be single forever. HELP ME IM SO DESPRATE |
Question: I need advice about what to do? Posted: 22 Feb 2018 03:48 AM PST Last night I had a lot to drink with a friend of mine at his house where he also lives with his parents. My friend only had two beers so he wasn't as drunk as I was. Anyway, I remember that we started kissing. The next thing I remember is waking up to him struggling to put my pants back on and my shirt being off. Obviously I was scared and freaked out. I looked down on the floor and there was a used condom next to the wrapper it came from and I freaked out more. He seemed really upset with himself and the situation and just overall had no idea what to do to calm me down - so he went and got his mom as I got dressed. I told his mom what happened and she offered to take me back to my college dorm room (bless her). On the drive back she told me that she didn't believe her son would ever take advantage or do anything to intentionally harm me. She also told me that before we left my friend told her that we fooled around and a condom was put on, but then I passed out and he stopped. I guess I just don't know what to believe or what to do - I've barely got any sleep because I've been thinking about it so much. All I know is that a part of me feels incredibly embarrassed and dirty, while another part of me feels angry at myself for trusting him/drinking so much. Any advice would be very helpful. Thank you! |
Posted: 22 Feb 2018 03:15 AM PST So I never really watched TV and now that I'm 17, I don't even have a TV in my room, and I never watch Netflix, nor do I have facebook, twitter, instagram, etc. Everybody thinks I'm weird because I don't watch tv, let alone have a tv in my room, and they feel like I'm even more weird since I don't have a facebook. Is it bad? I just never found a purpose in watching TV or having social media. Everybody asks what my favorite TV show is, etc, and I always just tell them I don't have one because I don't watch tv at all, and they just get shocked. They all say I'm secluded and stuff, but is it bad? |

Posted: 22 Feb 2018 12:50 AM PST i've always grown up in a cold home. my mother always hated me and my sisters were always rude to me so i'm nattually a mean cold person. a lot of people i know are really nice, and i'm 14 and i'm such a little.. female dog. how do i change this? how can i stop being so mean and judge mental to people right away? also one more question: how can i stop swearing?! even if i don't say it, i think it :/ thanks everyone! |
Question: I don’t make any deep connections with people and I feel alone what can I do? Posted: 21 Feb 2018 11:51 PM PST I just realized looking back on my life and looking at it currently that I don't have any deep relationships with any of my family, and my friends aren't super close either. I see my sister and she makes plans with my cousins and has too many friends to count, but my cousins I feel couldn't careless if I was ever around. I don't have a lot of friends either and it just feels bad because it feels like no one actually cares about me. Is there something I can do? I'm quiet, not awkward I just don't know why I am like this |

Question: Does this girl like me? Posted: 21 Feb 2018 03:50 PM PST I was pretty good friends with this girl at school. we would walk in the hallways together, text, sc. I asked her to the dance because i had a crush on her. After, she doesn't really talk to me or text me anymore. It makes me mad that she just stopped being friends with me, but I still have a crush on her. In class she would look my way without actually looking at me. She talks to her friends that are near me. But she doesn't really talk to me. I can see her out the corner of my eye that she gives me quick glances. One time we made eye contact at the same time and she quickly broke it. I don't know if she likes me because she is a popular girl and she talks to a lot of other guys. |

Question: Why did my co workers think I was doing something wrong? Posted: 21 Feb 2018 09:20 AM PST There is only one way to describe my mother in law (Pam). She is beautiful. From looking at her, you would never know she could have a daughter my age. She is also one of the nicest persons you ever will meet. Pam and I work in the same office building. Occasionally we have lunch at a local restaurant. Sometimes when my wife can get off work, she joins us for lunch. At the last lunch, it was just Pam and me. Some of my female co workers who know my wife saw us and when I got back from lunch, they got on my case about me being a married man and having lunch with a beautiful blonde. I told them my wife was OK with me having lunch with this blonde. They said "Typical man". "No wife would approve of her husband having lunch alone with such a beautiful woman". I thought I would explain she was my mother in law but I decided they would probably not believe me anyway. Gals, am I right about this? I knew these women would probably call my wife and tell her what I did. That should be a fun conversation to listen to. I think they are going to be embarrassed when they find out that blonde was my mother in law. Should I have told them I was having lunch with my mother in law? |
