She makes lots of eye contact with me, occasionally winks at me, she hugs me every time she sees me. She always initiates the contact. She tells me I'm very sweet, her best encouragement, she appreciates me and thinks I'm wonderful. I think I caught her staring at my breast. Her eye contact makes me feel funny. I always thought I was straight. She has me questioning myself. I'm 25 and she's 61. I know there's a huge age difference. But I'm just curious what's going through her head. She loves when I email her. Sometimes she replies and sometimes she doesn't. I basically tell her how amazing she is and that she means a great deal to me. Thoughts? Could she be bisexual. The other night I told him off really tough and he got angry and attacked me. I feel my timing was very bad but my heart was in the right place. He is a great guy with two lovely daughters and happily married. He has a great job makes a lot of money and has great friends. We are not talking at all right now and although I feel I chose a wrong moment to discuss the matter and tell him off... I also feel he should realise how out of control he is and that his reaction was way out of proportion. What should I do? |
| Posted: 02 Jan 2017 04:32 PM PST I"Ve literally tried everything in my catholic school to make friends. Tried joining sports but didn't make the team because it was really compeitive. There wasnt that many clubs and barely anyone were in them. Not to mention I lived an hour and thirty minutes away from the school by bus so extracuricular activities seemed hard to manage with school work for me. Everytime I tried going up to people and sayin hi no one wanted to engage in a conversation with me. I remember when two guys and a girl were talking and I tried to join in the conversation one guy was like: "Who was talking to you?" I don't get it. People always say I'm quiet but then when I try to talk to people it backfires. Most of my classes had boys in them and barely any girls and even though I graduated eighth grade with honors, the dean wouldn't give me any honors classes after I asked. The school seemed so BIASED too. It's like if you're black you have to play a sport and most of the girls that "looked a certain way" got all the attention and it made me insecure because I wanted that same attention. I tried so hard, I don't get it. I became so depressed and had to transfer schools cause no one would talk to me. I kept on switching lunch tables and everything and I know that sounds desperate but I just wanted someone to talk to. Did I ruin everything by transferriing? |

Now we all went our seperate ways except my best friend still sees my other friend regularly. I just drifted away from my friend because I always found she criticized a lot of things I said and I always felt I couldnt open up to her without feeling judged. My best friend finds her hilarious whereas I dont find her that funny. She does a lot of wreckless things and justifies it as okay or how its always other ppls fault. Anytime I see another women who seems a good match for me I compliment or initiate but they never seem to go father then general convo. It's like everybody is set in their own click or are not approachable. I'm 21 btw my generation is horrible. Also most people my age live with their parents still I don't have that luxury so my life isn't sugar coated and people don't gravitate towards that. 🙃 |
| Posted: 02 Jan 2017 03:11 PM PST i lost all of my friends about a months ago. i used to be on my schools dance team, which i got kicked off and that also ties in with how me and my ex friends aren't friends anymore. we all used to dance on the same team. i'm the only one that got kicked off btw. i'm sharing this because i can't join anything to make friends because dances was what i liked to do. i want to join next year, but even then i can't make friends cause everyone on the team hates me and my ex friends will still be on the team talking about me. btw my coach hates me too so i couldn't talk to her about anything. anyways to make friends. i have a lot of acquaintances. i talk to people in my classes, but it's not like i have anyone to hang out with on the weekends. i only have guy friends and i prefer not to hang out with them. i'm not in any group chats cause i don't have friends either. i only have like 3 guy friends and one lives in a different state cause he moved a while ago. i have no one to eat with at lunch. we have off campus lunch which means you can't leave to get food. most people leave and i have no where to go. i usually sit in this teachers classroom cause she allows students to come there for lunch. they're always a group of people there so i sometimes talk to them. she said we're not allowed to go in there anymore tho. so idk where to go. i'm not going to the cafeteria alone and i don't drive so i can't leave. i have to sit in the bathroom now and it's pretty sad. please any advice? |

I never really had friends until 2016, when I had first started talking to people. I now have a large amount of friends, but many of them I absolutely do not like talking to them, but they love talking to me. This pretty much applies to everyone I m friends with. Sometimes I ll want to talk to someone, but most of the time, I could care less. Out of my 10-15 friends, I like talking to 4 of them. Is this normal? However, my parents are excited because they have the opportunity to move to Tampa Florida for work. They found a nice house, a good school, but said it's up to me if we should move becasue I have a pretty good life here. I have good friends, a pretty good social life, go to a good school, and do well. I don't know what I should chose because I love my friends but my school is highly populated with people who are not the best to be surrounded by. But I am nervous of moving because I am so stable here and over there people are more like me it seems, but also I don't feel like I can make friends and keep my social life active and I will crash and I love my current friends. But at the same time living in Florida seems like fun and a good experience and chance to take. What should I do? |

I said the two girls in the class were my friends and other girls were saying "We are all you friends, aren't we?" and the instructor told me not to lie. A couple girls threatened to beat me up (in a kidding way). I named the two girls because one I met in orientation and she was new like me (there are other new students) and the other was my group leader who first showed me what to do. But now I will get very nervous and my heart will beat really fast. I will get very quiet in class. I've only asked at least one question to a teacher. I will never volunteer in class. I'm in a high school golf team. I like to hang out with my teammates, but I did not talk to them a lot. The worse part is I have trouble talking to my family. At my friend's house I didn't mind it because we were just a few girls but she posted it on her instagram and half her followers are guys. I just personally don't feel comfortable with revealing my body like that. Usually I wear pants that are knee level or longer, and I wear tshirts, no tank tops. I don't wanna upset her by telling her to remove the entire video because of that one part since she put her time into it .. and plus I'm really close with her so I'm one of the only people she does these videos for. But at the same time I'm not comfortable with it. Advice?? |
| Posted: 02 Jan 2017 12:41 PM PST I'm an African teen and a lot of people think I'm African American, I also get made fun of because people think my name is ghetto (I've asked some of my friends and they've told me what people have said) or for just being weird. I have a little bit of friends (it's not a big deal to me), and I'm kind of a loner or usually alone because I'm scared of how people react to me due to experience. But apart from that I'm really involved in school, I'm kind of nerdy and geeky, quiet (unless I get to know you), I listen to electronic music, and I like ecology but I don't play sports because I suck at them. I'm also I bit shy too. And as for appearance I could say I'm decent looking, I do tend to wear sweaters and jeans. Adults and kids or teens older than me tend to like me better than my own age group and my philosophy teacher. The black kids at school give me weird looks and ignore me and most of my friends are white or Asian (I don't have a problem with that); I go to an all white school too with a lot of cliques and sit alone at lunch. I've been kicked out of lots of groups at school because I don't fit in. I'm also judgmental of others but it has been for the better. People have made fun of my voice and say that I 'm trying to be white and most of all because I'm weird. My parents say I'm weird too. College is coming and I'm not sure how this will affect me in the real world and if I'm that weird . |

Once I stopped smoking pot they all stopped hanging around with me. Throughout college I made some friends but after graduation we never kept in touch. Also I commuted to school and didn't live on campus cause I because I didn't want to take on the extr debt and my parents let me stay with them. Now at work I haven't been able to really bond with anyone outside of the work environment. Everyone is very professional and nobody really hangs out outside of work. I literally have no friends, I mean I have friends but I don't have a true friend. Am I a bad person? I'm friendly and am nice to people. I wave to my neighbors and am easy to talk to. She was ranting about a person she disliked and I simply expressed my opinion and was plainly honest. She got mad at me because I was taking her side when really I wasn t.. I just didn t want her hating somebody for silly reasons because hate would consume her especially when everybody deserves a second chance, not for something they ve said in the past. She completely ignored me and I even apologized for no reason. She told a friend of mine that I constantly hurt her talking about the situation and I didn t even do anything. I constantly "hurt her" without even meaning too and then I hate myself for it. But she also hurts me all the flipping time but I move on knowing she doesn t mean it. Am I in the wrong? Like honestly I just need some advice on what to do about her. Should I just stop being her friend? She always does this and I m on the verge of just giving up because she never wants to work things out. She told my friend that she isn t in the mood to talk to me.. I don t want a friend who runs from the problem instead of talking it out. I mean if she can t handle my honesty then what s the point of this friendship. Posted: 02 Jan 2017 12:29 PM PST I'm a sophomore at an all girls high school and during freshman year I barely talked (this year I talk a little more, but still not that much; I have social anxiety). I kinda just sat at a random table, and then kept sitting there because I didn't know where else to sit. There were more people in my "group" freshman year, but sophomore year about half of them left and don't even go to the cafeteria anymore. Recently 2 of the girls stopped sitting at the table, one moved to another table and I don't know where the other eats lunch now. I feel disconnected from the remaining girls because they all went to the same middle school. They never ask me to hang out with them and constantly hang out altogether with other people at different high schools from their middle schools. I'm tired of trying to be included because they also are very different from me. I had to ask them if I could join their homecoming group because they didn't originally invite me. I want to switch to another group, but the problem is I don't really talk to anyone else besides them (and i don't even talk to them that much, they don't really know the real me). I feel like I already have a label, but the label doesn't represent who I actually am. I feel like everybody is already secure with their friends except me. Any tips on how to switch friend groups and making new friends sophomore year? I want to do it as fast as possible. Sorry this is so long :/ |

We had so many things in common and we couldn't go through a day without talking to each other. Tho this girl is suicidal. I tried making her happy so many times and succeeded sometimes. One thing I hated about her is that she would always take things too seriously and she would get mad at me over insanely small things. She said mean things to me so many times and hurt my feelings but I always forgave her beause I knew she was living a rough life. She got so attached to me she even swore she's kill herself if she lost me. But I couldn't stand her getting mad at me and saying things that made me sad. I tried to apologize but she never forgave me. She would only tell me to never do those things again. Of course I got fed up and had emotional breakdowns often. I told her everything I felt, sincerely, and stopped talking to her. She kept sending me hundreds of messages but I didn't open them. She blocked me and I blocked her. Though she keeps sending me messages everyday. She created a second account and she stalks me on it. She won't leave me alone! Whenever I post a picture she sends me messages about the caption I used and insults me. She is a psycho, even my mom said it. She's a toxic friend and I wanna get rid of her once and for all. The weird part about it is that it happens with girls that I date briefly for a couple of months it doesn't work and we usually put our dating on pause I also usually agree to keep it cool with this girls only to find out that they only apparently see me as a friend even though they flirt with me and act as if I'm boyfriend. This girls that friend zone me at som point told my friends that I'm cute. I find it annoying at first but now I'm kind of surprised, girls like me, they like me a lot but only as friends. |

It literally takes less than a minute out of your whole day to reply. You're either really super weak, a liar or just straight up disrespectful. The idea of email is that you can respond at your convenience. Have you gotten that stupid excuse where people say "sorry I've been busy" - Yet every where you go people are nose deep in their phones?! Give me a break.. I apologized and tried to fix it but she just got more pissed and blocked me so I decided to stop trying and leave it be bc I don't want to force anything. she never apologized to me even when I told her how her actions made me feel. right after we stopped talking I talked to her other best friend and she told me to leave it be & let it go & that shed probably unblock me. although I'm still angry abiut the situation, I kinda miss her. so I was jw if anyone else has had a huge fallout w a friend then eventually became friends again? |

He is 13 years older than me and I'm 20 years old at the end of our date when he was waiting with me for my bus to get here, there was a drunk couple being noisy and falling about all over the place and I was standing near them. He told me to come and stand next to him. He didn't touch me at all but told me to stand near him with a serious tone and looked quite concerned as if he really wanted me to get away from the drunk couple why did he want me to stand near him? |

When I text, she seems quick to end the conversation. She s not rude, it s just as if she doesn t want to chat for long periods of time anymore. She and her husband are struggling financially and I got the feeling a while ago she was hinting about wanting me to send her mine. I never did and I worry she could be bitter about that. Also I ve told her before that I plan to start trying to conceive in May with my husband but I m not pregnant yet so I don t get why she is distancing herself. Posted: 02 Jan 2017 10:01 AM PST So, there are a couple of people in my social studies class that I would like to become friends with and I want to ask them for their phone numbers and to possibly hang out. We talk pretty often in class but I just kind of feel a little bit awkward because I just don't feel like I know them well enough to ask them for their phone number and I don't want to make myself look like a fool. They belong to a different friend group than me but I know most people in their friend group and I would also like to be in their friend group because they are all really good people. Also, I don't want to sound too pushy or anything if I do ask them. Can someone please give me some advice on how to go about this and how to make it so that I don't seem like I'm trying too hard? |

Posted: 02 Jan 2017 09:02 AM PST I am about to begin the second semester of this school year living in an apartment style housing with two other girls (Let's call them Anne and Mary for reference). We had a fourth roommate, Jill, last semester, but she had some issues and moved out. I share a room with Mary, and Anne shared a room with Jill. We were unable to find a fourth roommate to replace Jill when she moved out, so we have had to pay more in rent between all of us, but Anne took care of the greater share of Jill's rent because she earns more than Mary or I do. The problem is that Mary and I share a room that is significantly smaller than Anne's room. Mary and I think that we should switch rooms because there are two of us and one of her. However, Anne thinks that she should keep the room because she is paying slightly more than us to live in the apartment. Also note that Mary and Anne cannot share a bedroom because they prefer different sleeping environments, but I'm not so picky. Who should get the larger room? How should we decide this? |
