Posted: 04 May 2015 01:20 PM PDT Well, let me start every time I mess up with almost anything, my dad insults me, I tell him "what the hell is your problem" he says something like it's called parenting. If I try to help fixing the car for example and I don't know the name of a screw(even though he has never taught me, supposedly I'm supposed to know out of thin air.) he insults me, and my mother at times have said things to me to put me down at times but a lot less, and yeah sometimes I've been lazy when it comes to school, and my dad would say things like your a lazy piece of sh*t, but I still think it is wrong, I'm trying harder in school now and doing good, but whenever I mess up with pretty much anything, like if we're around people, I have to act perfect if my shirt is a little tucked out, he insults me or implies an insult and my mother at times too and they tell me it's for my own good, I believe there are better ways then to mistreat your kid I think it only makes it worse, my dad tells me to punch people in the face when messed with, yet he messes with me all the time and supposedly I'm not supposed do anything, I don't see the logic. Are your parents like that? How do your parents treat you? Are most of them like that because I don't know? By the way My parents are like upper middle class, are richer parents more like this? what should or can I do about this? |
| Posted: 04 May 2015 01:16 PM PDT im 17 years old. when I was younger my parents use to fight ALL THE TIME. they were toxic together. my mom would scream and my dad would throw plates and break them and scream I wasn't mad at my mom because shes a nice person and shes happy but I hate my dad because hes cranky and mean and a perfectionist I hated life, I hated how my parents fought and i just started focusing on losing weight i turned anorexic and was in and out of anorexia treatment centers for years. i secretly liked being there because i didn't have to be at home with my father. he was so mean. anyway, i recovered from anorexia. but ive missed so much school. im not in school right now. im going to try and get my GED in a few months. but what should i do? im not at school. im prepareing for GED. im going to cosmetology school. i still need my liscense. by the time i get a job and svae up enough money to move out, ill probably be like 20 years old. i cant stand my dad though. i cant stand my life. my dad is a jerk and things would be better if he wasn there. but in general, im depressed i just want to run away. but in a few months ill be 18 and that wont really be "running away" i don't know what to do. i don't have money to move out. i don't have a job, haven't gone to cosmetology school yet. i feel stuck. i feel like killing myself becuz i hate my life and i hatemy father so much. its going to take 9 months until i have my license so i cant just leave alone i don't knowwhat to do i feel stuck |

This kid knows what he's saying, We tried to walk him home the other day and he ran away from me and called me a ************* ****. This is normal. I live with my cousins, which is his grandparents and Aunt. He lives literally right beside us with his mom and dad, which his dad is my cousin as well. He's around his Mom, Dad, Aunt, cousin, baby sister, and grandparents everyday. His mom is a pretty shitty mom, who favors his baby sister and locks him out the house just to not deal with him, but his Aunt and Grandparents (and me) love on him, discipline him, feed him, bathe him, tell him to be loving and respectful, but it's never enough. His Dad is a good dad, but he works all the time and when he gets home it's usually my little cousins bedtime. We don't know what to do. He wont listen, he laughs when he gets spanked, and he lies more than he tells the truth. He's a brilliant kid though, he's smart and can be the sweetest thing on earth and mean every second of it. I just don't want him taken away. It's not that he's in a bad home, because he's really not. We all (besides his mom) do the best we can to calm him down, but nothing seems to work. Anyway, I saw him recently at a party and he cornered me in a hallway. He started getting agitated and then said we "had to get back together." They're both 25 so it's really a childish thing to do. They used to be college friends but fell out after my son-in-law started dating my daughter, who is my son's twin. I grant it that was originally my son's fault - he was (and still is) jealous - but then my son-in-law doesn't help either. My daughter said to leave them to their own devices but it's very embarrassing when we have people over. Yesterday I had them over to help with a garden party and they made remarks on each other. Those who listened thought the remarks were funny, but I'm really fed up with their attitude toward each other. I've tried to talk with both of them, each of them, and to my daughter, but they're still like that. My daughter is now pregnant and the boys are even arguing on the baby's name. A bit of back story- my wife and I have been trying for a baby for years, and after 3 miscarriages we were told that she is unable to carry children.We were naturally devastated by the news, but after months of thinking we decided we wanted to adopt. But there is a waiting list for new born babies, which we were put on, but last night my little sister, who is 38 weeks pregnant, told me and my wife that she want us to adopt the baby. She is only 16 and has hopes of going to uni, she doesn't want kids right now. She was raped last year at a party by one of her 'friends' who had too much to drink. Despite the rape, she still has contact with the guy occasionally and he doesn't want the baby either, because it brings back 'bad memories'. I hate the guy, and I guess its because of him that I cant decide whether to adopt the baby, knowing the father raped my baby sister. She said if we dont adopt it, it'll be put up for adoption. Taking care of our mother became me and my sisters responsibility. (We have 2 brothers, but they don't help us) At the time of my fathers passing, I was working full time and my sister was part time. She asked me that she needed more help with our mother...so I stepped down at my job and became part time to help out more. It was this way for awhile. Then her kids got older, she chose to go to work full time. I'm still part time. Why does she point out in conversation how long (9 hrs) a day she works, or how early she had to get up? And points out that I'm not full time? And never offers to take our mother to any doctors appts? It's always me, and she knows I always take her. If there is a time when I can't take my mom, my mom asks me, "what do I do?" I tell her to ask "Julie". My mom says she doesn't like to ask Julie because she's always so busy. We take turns taking our mother to the store..I find out she hasn't taken her because she's too busy or too tired. My mom seems to feel sorry for her because of her working full time...really? I worked full time before, I worked a retail schedule. My sister has a set schedule and weekends off. I cannot figure it out, why does she want to appear like she's better than me because she works full time and I don't? Any advice would be most appreciated. Thank you. |

When I was living at the building I was texting my cousin about that I was scared of them doing something to me because they were saying they wanted to beat me up. I found out that my other cousin had taken her my cousins phone and sent all the text messages I had sent my cousin to the neighbors that were saying all this horrible things. I just don't know what to do these neighbors are making fun of all my messages and are positing it online. I did say something wrong that I should have said as black ***** which could have sounded racist which I am not. Also I sent my cousin a text that they were saying I was a stalker which I am not.I am afraid my career will suffer and my life is ruined because of these people. I did moved about six months ago to another apartment but they are coming to the landlord to say horrible things and that I am racist. | Question: How to get phone faster? Posted: 04 May 2015 09:47 AM PDT I bought (from my money for which I worked hard) a great phone almost 2 years ago (it'll be 2 in september). At that time I had a deal with my mum to only change my phone again after 2 whole years (this september ). The problem is that my actual phone won't stay awake unless being constantly kept charging and moves slower than a snail. And I don't want to fix it, cause it would be out of my money again, money which I'll need in september. So my question is: how to convince my mom to let me change my phone after school ends to be able to have it during the holidays, of course out of my money which I already have and considering I also need a new charger and headphones which would come with the new phone. My mother is very accepting of me but I'm not so sure about my father. To me, he seems to have low self-esteem and has a short fuse. When I was little I remember my uncle (Dad's brother) babysitting me and my Dad got upset about something and kicked my Brio train set table. My Dad laughed about it. Now when he gets upset, he either throws objects or he says nasty things about me. He treats me like I'm either much younger or as if I'm not very intelligent. He also tends to shy away from the truth. For example, instead of giving me straight yes or no answers, he'll say those words with some hesitation as if he's afraid of saying what's really on his mind. He just takes things way too personally. I want to know if his low self-esteem is caused by my illness or is he just feeling inadequate because of something that happened to him as a child. Unfortunately she's not even sure about the paternity of at least 2 of my siblings and none of the fathers are present! She doesn't work and hasn't in about 7 or 8 years, lives with her mom, and I'm all she has. My grandmother is disabled and gets social security so that's how the bills are paid at that house and my mom uses my brothers social security check to supposedly pay some bills and live off of. I'm 24 years old 5 months pregnant and have a 14 month old and married. It's such a headache having to worry about my siblings not having everything they need and my mom praying for Section 8 approval instead of at least making an effort to better herself and get a job instead of depending on welfare! I understand needing SOME assistance but my mom refuses to help herself and needs my help all the time! She won't do anything to change her situation and I'm tired of it. It's overwhelming because I work on the regular basis and I have my own family but I feel like my mom is gonna need my help for the rest of her life!! We have two small children together who he adores, but seems unable to get it right. My man was somewhat physically, mentally, and emotionally abusive. We was living in New York and it seemed like he was a devil. When we decided to move to Florida he was like a saint doing everything a woman can ask for. As times was getting hard financially we decided to move back to NYC and decided to do things right before me leave to another state. The thing is when we came back we had no where to go. My family did not approve of him so we decided to live in sepeate homes and hours away from each other. I was struggling by myself and he seemed to never have money to help me out. We spoke everyday and I was telling him how hard it was for me to do it alone. I'm about to move in another month and the plan was for him to come but my family says that if he's there with me I would be cut off and since I've been doing it by myself for the past 4 months I really don't need him. I'm torn because I understand what they coming from but he is still the father of my kids should I allow him to move in when I finally get my own place or should we continue loving from a distance? |

Posted: 04 May 2015 08:53 AM PDT I applied for food stamps, had my interview and turned in my proof of income and everything last Wednesday. Friday I recieved a call from dhr saying they needed a different proof of our mortgage. The lady said I would need to bring it up there that day because she'd be awarding our benefits that day and it could increase our benefits. So, Friday afternoon I took what they needed up there. Saturday morning I checked our case status online and it said our case was closed and we weren't currently eligable to recieve food stamps. Now I'm confused. The lady talked like I was approved, but the website says different. Now, my question is how will I know if I have been approved or not? Will they call or send a letter even if I'm not approved? Basiccaly our families are really close to each other and he really cares for me alot most of the times our families are around each other alot. He is a good friend friend to me that he treats me like a brother. So he is protective because when ever I do something wrong he always lectures me like when ever I drink soda or eat something unhealthy he lectures me because he knows I am overweight by the way I am not super fat just a little chunky. He also lectures me when ever I spend my money irresponsibly and he lectures me when ever I procrastinate on my homework and don't grt good grades. Not only is he protective of me but he is also protective of my brother who has Autism and he will not let anyonw bully us. He also helps my parents out by spending time with us and keeping us busy. |

I ask my parents if they can take me to the library but I never go because my mom always wants to go places and since my grandmothers have medical conditions, someone has to be with them. I'm home-schooled so I have more free-time but that still never helps. I can't stay up all night because then my mom gets mad I sleep all day, but I can't do my work during the day because my family is so damn loud! I would normally sit in the car but now that it's getting hot outside, the car just isn't an option. I was sitting in the car today and I was burning up, but I didn't want to get out the car. School is SO important to me. You have no idea how important it is to me. I was literally thinking of sitting in that car and doing work until I passed out and ended up in the hospital so I could really have a quiet place to do my work. It's 83 degrees outside and imagine how hot it would be in a car with the windows up and no ac. I'm willing to put myself in the most dangerous situations just to get my work done. If I have to die in order to get my work done and maintain my straight A average, then I feel like that's what I'll do. Am I over reacting for wanting to possibly have a heat stroke sitting in the car or should I go back outside and sit in the car. Please don't ask me to go over to a family members house, I can't, once again, because of my grandmother's. |

I know that if the child is with us for birthdays or Christmas we will give them gifts, and happily send them on with t hem if we don't end up adopting the child. The thing that bothers me the most is that my mom doesn't give me enough credit and makes me feel terrible about myself. She doesn't believe I'll go to college, she always compares me to other classmates of mine, compares me to her sister who when she was younger, would not make the best decisions and also to her own self. She doesn't believe that I'm capable of making my own decisions. My mom has some heart health problems because she doesn't eat too well and doesn't exercise and also seems to be drifting away from my father...it seems she's more worried about what I'm doing with my life rather than focusing on her own self and her marriage, and I'm just frustrated because I don't know what to do :( |
