Question: Military wedding help! Selfish? Posted: 28 Mar 2015 10:43 PM PDT Hi. I'm engaged to a guy in the military and he's away on deployment. We want to get married when he comes back (hopefully soon) so we can be together and start our lives. When he's back, He'd still be stationed on the other side of the U.S. from me. Problem is, his dad is in another country and wouldn't be here for the wedding. They're really close, So my fiancée wants to delay it until he gets his papers worked out, which can be over a year! We can't live together until we get married. He said we could elope and have a wedding with everyone later. But you only get married once! I don't want it to be at a courthouse. I suggested having a small ceremony without the dad and a bigger one later, but he said no. Or going to the country where his dad is, taking my mom, and kind of "eloping". But he said no, the whole family has to be there. But not everyone would be able to travel around that time. Is he being unreasonable? Or am I not being understanding and patient? I don't know what to do! |
Question: Bridesmaid dress problems? Posted: 28 Mar 2015 09:45 PM PDT My bridesmaids dress has bra cushions. The cushions are made so that it looks like my nipples are showing even when the dress isn't on my body. I took it to the store and they claim that it is just the dress. Is there anything that I can do about it? |
Question: Which would you rather do? Posted: 28 Mar 2015 09:34 PM PDT Im torn my boyfriend and I are really serious and we talk about getting engaged. Well I don't want to know when he's gonna propose, but I want to help pick out the ring. His taste is very simple one stone. Mine is not. I'm not saying I want the biggest ring just something a little more! But would you want to go with and help pick it out, or would you want to be totally surprised? |
Question: What kind of stones do you like to see or have in your engagement ring? Posted: 28 Mar 2015 09:20 PM PDT My engagement ring is a 4 carat citrine, set in 10 kt gold, with diamonds along the band. I'm not really fond colorless of diamonds, but I do love to see colorful stones. What kind of stones do you like to see or have in your engagement ring? |
Question: What were General Westmoreland's rules of engagement? Posted: 28 Mar 2015 07:24 PM PDT Hi... Just looking to see if anyone can direct me to his Rules of Engagement? I have not been able to find anything on the internet so far. Thank you. |
Question: Saying for wedding favor? Posted: 28 Mar 2015 07:11 PM PDT I'm getting married in May and having coasters from exclusivelyweddings.com for the favors. I'm trying to find a nice saying to attach to them as a way to thank everyone. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance! |

Question: How to plan a wedding in Pakistan(Lahore) in 2015?!? Posted: 28 Mar 2015 01:26 PM PDT This does not mean an overly luxurious wedding where all you have to do is choose the right wedding planner etc. But a beautiful within the budget kind of wedding. Any possible suggestions from your experiences with family wedding etc about anything, designers, photographers, decoraters, caterers etc who are compatible with a reasonable budget and flexible to your personal style. Also anyyyy steps along the way that you would advise someone to never ever or always always do?? |
Question: My future brother in law doesn't even care about his wedding? Posted: 28 Mar 2015 12:58 PM PDT My sister is getting married soon and she is very busy with all of the planning. Her fiancé however, doesn't seem to care about the wedding at all. We were talking about the type of flowers and color theme. I asked his opinion on it and he said he doesn't care about that stuff? I feel like if he doesn't care about the wedding, does he even want to get married? I'm very upset about it because I don't want my sister to make a mistake. He's nice and everything but he doesn't seem interested in the wedding and I feel like that says a lot about how he feels about the marriage in general. What are your thoughts on this? Should I say something to them? |
Question: How to give away the bride? Posted: 28 Mar 2015 12:48 PM PDT My wedding is coming up pretty soon, but i can't figure out how to order the giving away of the bride. Usually, before the father sits down, the pastor asks who is giving this bride, and the groom comes to get the bride from the father. however, my brother is walking down the aisle with me, and my mom is giving me away. Any ideas on how to do that exchange without an awkward switching of places, or the groom having to shake my brothers hand to receive the bride? |
Posted: 28 Mar 2015 09:12 AM PDT Where are less expensive places to go to for a honeymoon? In the United States and good during the fall! Thanks in advance xx |

Question: How soon before your wedding did you start buying things for it? Posted: 28 Mar 2015 08:44 AM PDT What should I buy first? I'm guessing the wedding dress/ suit and then I can coordinate. (by the way we are having a suit made from a friends relative so I wonder how long they take to make). We have about a year and I don't want to be rushed with all of this. So excited!!!! Thank you. |
