I just love their stupid faces. And you can ride them too, which I think is a real advantage now my family are moving further away from my school. so I toad my dad what I want. And he said that I have to get a normal pet like a cat or a fish. so I got a little mad and threw my pineapple juice on him and tried to strangle him. And he got real abusive to me and pushed me on the floor and said I better clean the juice off the couch and floor by the time he gets back. My birth mother has 3 kids and was abusive towards us. I m the oldest and my dad got full custody of me at 5 when they found out what was going on. That was the last time I saw my birth mother until I was about 18, and it felt really weird and uncomfortable. I think she knew I was about to graduate from high school so that s why she tried to reconnect. I haven t talked to her since and I m now 27. I have a cousin on that side of the family and I keep in touch every now and then. I was just informed that my grandma has passed away. My dad tells me I was close to my grandma when I was living with my birth mom but I haven t seen since I was 5. My cousin is going to let me know of the funeral arrangements, but I m unsure of what to do. It s awkward to be around my birth mom because she acts like nothing ever happened. I haven t kept in touch with my brothers because it feels like I ve abandoned them to my abusive mom, but I do want to show support for any grief they may be having. |

Recently my brother has been going into my room and stealing my DVDs, and has taken one to his dad and given it to him (I paid for the DVD) he has returned the other two, but not without screaming and shouting so much he nearly through up. I'm 13, and my bro is 11, and I need my privacy now. He thinks it's okay to take my stuff and not return and has stolen several of my phone chargers, ds games and even tried stealing my ps2 and N64 even though he has his own tv and Xbox. He literally tries to kill me if I touch his games, and nearly broke my ribs once cause I borrowed his Xbox to watch a DVD. Any help? :) |

I haven't even asked them but I know that my dad will turn it into a huge deal and blame everything on my mother. The reason why I can't go is because of my religion ( I'm a Muslim). My dad will say that I'll looking like a bad girl, disgrace my family, etc. Honestly, I just want my senior year to be as great as possible because when I go to college next year I'll be living at home and my parents probably won't let me do anything. As for the dress, shoes, etc I have that covered. Here is my plan: A couple of weeks before the ball, I will tell my parents that during finals week you aren't allowed to test ap courses during the day, only at night. The physics (4-7) and calc (7-10) finals will be on Thursday ( I don't take either of those courses, I am just trying to convince them) the "exams" I am taking will be bio from 4-7 and English 7-10. Both of these will be on Friday. When my dad drops me off at 3:45, my friend and I will wait until 4 just to be sure and then leave to get ready at her house. Around 7, when my English exam will start, I will call and check up on my parents and just do the normal thing and stress about how nervous I am etc. Then at 7 we will go to the banquet hall and party basically. Then around 945 I will leave, change into regular clothes again, then go back to skl and call my dad and have him pick me up.I will update edits if u have any question. Thank you so much |

However, as time passed she would practically ask me everyday if I had sex. Telling me I wouldn't be virtuous if I had. She even threatened that if I wanted to have sex that I couldn't live at home with her while I went to school anymore. Well, I did end up having sex with my boyfriend eventually, but we broke up later because I couldn't take the pressure of my mother and feeling like I betrayed her rules. Now at 21, the same guy and I really want to try things again because we can't seem to move on from each other. For my 18th birthday my boyfriend (we have been dating a year and a half) wants to buy me tickets to go to a concert for my all time favorite artist. The concert is about 2 hours 45 min. away from where I live but I honestly didn't think it would be a problem. So I talked to my mom about it and she seemed to not have too much of a problem with it except for the fact we'd be on the road kinda late but my dad instantly shot it down pretty much. He says I cannot go because its a "bad place" and there will not be an adult there with us. I honestly think they are being extremely unreasonable. In less than 5 months I am going off to college 4 hours from where I live and I am practically going to be on my own yet they can't let me go to a concert and come home the same night??? Opinions or counter arguments I can use to convince them? Thanks yall. |

I had to move out from my mum due to I had to look after her and care for her, pay the bills, do the shopping, do the chores etc and be a second mother to my brother from the age of 7 until i was 13 when i was put into foster care for 6 months and then my grandparents went to court to get custody for us. My mum said i could move out when i am 16 but where can i go? I cant live with my mum and my dad hates me and wants nothing to do with me. I treat my grandparents with respect all the time and also i have no friends to stay with. |

I won't be able to get back in time to make everything clean and nice. A couple of my housemates smoke cannabis, and it is legal to smoke as medicine, and if you are 21+ in my state. My parents are against cannabis and they don't like it at all. My stance is it's my house, my housemates are all of legal age to smoke and its not their house. Should I even be worried? My parents have a separate fridge that is filled with alcohol and beer. My fridge is filled with food. My parents used to harass me about my cannabis use all the time when I was younger, they have been more lenient though as the years go on |

Usually my Mom's friends would pay me to do stuff for them, (ex. cleaning car, walking dog, babysitting, simple chores, etc.) It's always been my families tradition to work hard for what you have. So I work really hard for money. My Mom's friends haven't really needed me for the last few months and I kinda need some new stuff and My Mom always says I have to get it for myself and refuses to get them for me. I need a resume and I have no idea of how I'm suppose to set one up. I've asked my mom but she wont help me. "You have to figure these things out on your own or you won't get anywhere in life." Since I started working all my money has gone through buying myself a winter jacket, boots and paying my phone bill that my mom had let pilled up. So right now 3 months later and I want to buy hair (i know this might sound weird to some of you but I'm black and we spend money on hair all the time) last 2 weeks was my spring break and I worked all break to be able to buy good hair and still put 3/4 of my money towards savings. When I started working she said that I should put 50$ in saving every paycheck and I decided to put 250 -.- and she won't let me spend 100 (+70$ I had already saved up towards it). I don't understand her.... I'm buying good hair that will last me a year and still look great instead of cheap hair that would cost me 30$ and only last 3 weeks I mean you have to be mad not to see the advantages year |

Her mom read the messages and showed her dad and my gf's sister had to translate it for them, and now all of them hate me. I tried so hard to impress her dad because he was always against a relationship, and I've tried so hard to maintain a good relationship with her mother because she really liked me... Now the entire family hates me, and I really don't know how to build up a good, positive relationship again with them. I am 16 right now and I am going to college for Computer Science after I graduate senior year of high school. The problem is I am not moving out for college, but we do not have enough money for me to move out. I am pretty sure apartments are cheaper than the college dorms. My brother lives at an apartment instead of the dorm because his college only allows freshmen to stay in dorms. So disregard that. I am not doing this because of my brother, but my brother is glad he is far from home so he can move. He earns the money from a pizza delivery job. My parents are making me live with family members at their house which is a city away from the college I want to attend. I really want to live in an apartment in the city (or somewhere cheap) where my college is. I don't like living with my family. I really don't want to come home in the summer either. I understand that it is hard to live on my own. There are bills to pay and they can change. I would only move out ONLY if I get a good job. What good jobs are there for a student who has not even graduated college yet? And by the way, I am not completely on my own, which I cannot help until i actually graduate because my parents pay for my car insurance, medical bills, etc. That's not a problem because I am still depending on them for that. I am talking about moving out so I have enough to pay for my groceries, furniture, and utility bills, and apartment bills. Edit: I can also get roomates to help pay for bills. College has a lot of people for friends. Hopefully, I will make lots of friends. |

I have a great job and make $70,000 and should be able to own my own home within a year. My parents resent each other. My dad owns his own business and can't make any money at it. He blames everyone else for his misfortunes. He hasn't gone on vacation since the 70s. My mother has never had a career. She said she didn't love my dad when she married him. He married her because she was fun and pretty, but then she ended up becoming an paranoid, obese invalid and he grew to hate her. My mother secretly runs up credit card bills buying costume jewelry that she can't pay off (and that my dad is forced to pay off because she doesn't work). My mother thinks sex is disgusting and has never been in love. She used to lock her door on us kids and say we were conspiring against her with our dad. Neither of them have friends or any social life. They can't get divorced because my dad can't support two households. I've totally avoided relationships because I don't want to end up like them but at the same time I sometimes get lonely. |

Recently he was "diagnosed" with Aspergers, and now my parents let him do whatever the hell he wants. My uncle just bought him a $1200 mini drone from DJI. I went to visit my relatives for 2 weeks with my dad in order to get out of this abusive situation for a while. I could tell they really didn't want to see me and I always get a vibe that they really don't like me for whatever reason. I am trying to finish a very difficult online program through Careerstep so I can afford to move out this fall, but the environment at home is so abusive, that I can't do any of my work. If you take a kid who has never been punished in their entire life and gets whatever they ask for, you get my brother as a result. I don't think he has Aspergers. I think he is a spoiled brat. He hurts my mom and all she does is buy him candy and video games. I have no money for college or another place to live, and my best bet is finishing this Careerstep program for medical coding. I have nowhere else to go where I could peacefully finish my program (my dad's house in Florida is next to his work where they use loud machinery every day, and the highway where there is loud bass music all night). I am trying to tough out this situation, but all I can see for my future is suicide. If you were in this situation, what would you do? |

The teenager told me that when she was at her father's house, he smoked weed with her. She said her dad wanted her to try it in a "safe" environment. I know I need to tell her mother, but I am really nervous of the consequences. First off, the mother is extremely overbearing, extremely strict and punches this girl for almost anything..... Most of this teenagers life is spent in her room, with NOTHING to do. The teenager is semi-suicidal, runs away and says she feels sick with hatred when she is at her mothers house. Her father has started proceedings to get custody of her. I know that when I tell the mother, it will be absolute hell for this girl. She will not have one break from constant ridicule and her mother will ground her for her fathers stupid actions. How do I proceed? I know I can't (in good conscience) keep this to myself. Her father is not helping and neither is her mother. This girl mainly is a good kid, good grades and doesn't fall into peer pressure.... Not punches, the mother punishes again, mother is just overbearing, over protective and (at least in my opinion) unreasonably strict. She is not physically abusive. So is it really abuse? |

She then told me, if I don't get a A average, she would not cook for me, hide ALL the food, including veggtables and snacks, and my dad supports her. He hates me, and tells me to go die or get lost, never attends any of my school stuff or sports stuff, never played with me back then, acts nice in front of my mom when I want to show him something, the second she leaves, he would snap "y are u still standing here, you little *****?! GET LOST!!!". She says she's so ashamed of me and my dad said the same thing, and they both told me when it's dinnertime, I would stay in my room. They threatened me that if I go and buy food or "waste money" or run away, they will hit me until my thighs bleed. My parents once did that, where my mom got a shoe and my dad grabbed my wrist, and as I struggled to get loose, I popped a vain there and it started bleeding. NO ONE, not my family members who hates me, not my guidance counselor who says "you're weird and say weird stuff", wants to help me. I've been feeling suicidal since a long time ago. I also don't want to report them to the police or anything, nor the social service, 'cause they are horrible. Is there anything I can do? I haven't eaten since yesterday morning.
