Posted: 13 Mar 2015 11:00 PM PDT I've gained a lot of weight over the past few months (I used to be skinny) and I have a paunch but my friends say I don't look fat. I think they're just being nice. One of them even said that I don't look fat 'yet' by mistake so I think she was implying that I'm getting fat. I need you to tell me the truth because I just want to know where I stand. I'm not the type of person who really cares either way. I just want to know. Here's a picture: http://imgur.com/KuoGetQ I am the girl in the middle (wearing sun glasses) Honesty is appreciated! There is no point in not telling the truth! I'm asking because I want to know not because I care. I just want the info. |
Question: How much is a Tacori engagement ring, approximately? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 10:38 PM PDT http://www.koehnjewelry.com/ We live to " Rock World's " through what we do, how we do it, and what we sell. It's more than diamonds and rings in the end...it 's about YOU... and your moment in the sun. |
Posted: 13 Mar 2015 10:22 PM PDT We're thinking very seriously about having a cake and punch type of wedding. Most of the people we would like to invite live close by. We're on a time/money crunch, due to the military. We're looking at an early Sunday afternoon for the event. Would you be offended? |

Question: What are some different and unique wedding traditions? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 09:43 PM PDT @satan on instagram recently posted a picture that said he went to a very cultured wedding where they threw porcelain or something.... I want to know other unique wedding traditions that I may want to do. |
Question: Western engagement photos? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 07:24 PM PDT So my brother and her fiancé are getting married and we want to take her engagement picture. Her theme of her wedding is western, does anyone that lives in Los angeles, California could know of places where they have could work for her western theme. For example, a ranch or a park or places were they have horses. |
Question: Opinions on getting married in a church vs reception hall? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 07:13 PM PDT I am getting married soon and we recently booked our reception hall. I was really excited to get married in a church, but with so many strict rules (counseling, not living together, etc), we decided against it. However, our reception venue doesn't really do ceremonies, so I'm stuck. Any suggestions? Or what your take is on the church vs hall? |
Question: How much should I charge a coworker who wants me to be her wedding coordinator? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 04:18 PM PDT I LOVE wedding planning, and have assisted multiple friends in this way. Upon hearing this, a coworker who I like, but I'm not close to asked me to be her wedding planner, and said that she would pay me. I've always done it for free because I enjoy it, but if she is willing to pay, I'm willing to accept it. I'm not a professional planner, and I'm pretty sure I make at least triple her salary at our job, so I don't want to charge her a ridiculous amount. What is a fair price that doesn't sell myself short, but doesn't over burden her financially? |
Posted: 13 Mar 2015 01:28 PM PDT I was hoping to put some flowers in my hair, but not sure if it'd be too much with the dramatic top |
Question: What vendors are supposed to get tips at weddings? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 12:59 PM PDT I've never planned a wedding, and I really don't know anyone else who has. It recently occurred to me that on top of quoted charges, I might be expected to tip some of my wedding vendors as well. Could anyone tell me who might expect to be tipped, and about how much? |
Question: Does the mother of the groom have to wear a long dress if the mother of the bride has one? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 11:48 AM PDT |
Posted: 13 Mar 2015 11:37 AM PDT How much does it roughly cost to get married in a courthouse in Iowa? And what are the steps and what needs to be done to get married? |
Posted: 13 Mar 2015 09:56 AM PDT Anyone have any experience either being in one or a guest at one? Every wedding I've been to has been late afternoon and last into the night. I would want to walk down the aisle about 11 am. If I do this, how long do you think the reception would last until? |
Question: Places to go in Atlanta for a Bachelorette party? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 08:18 AM PDT My 23 yr old big sister is getting married and I as the maid of honor have been tasked with planning the Bachelorette party in May. We live in NE Ga close to Atlanta. What kind of outing could I plan? No spas, Something fun, possibly outdoors something involving alcohol in the evening. Ill be out alll day with these ladies, we need places to go! Thank you. |
Question: How do I pick a Maid of Honor? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 08:00 AM PDT I'm getting married late this year but not sure how to choose a maid of honor. I have no sisters and my bff lives 18hrs away. I was going to use either my fiancés sister or cousin but both are too young (13&15) and I'm not close to my family as far as wanting them in my wedding. |
Question: How many yards of fabric needed to make 5 bridesmaids dresses? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 07:55 AM PDT this style: https://www.etsy.com/listing/199197984/deep-green-bridesmaid-dress-wedding?ref=sr_gallery_4&ga_search_query=infinity+dress&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery some big, some small. I have 6 years of experience with sewing. I am ordering a jersey knit fabric that has 25% stretch I believe. Sizes were not included simply because not all of the bridesmaids have given me their measurements yet. I will be following my own pattern for this dress, I picked the simplest, most elegant design I could find because of this. I shouldn't have to clarify this, but I will just to humor myself. If you don't have something nice to say, then don't say it! |
Question: Does anyone know of a website for vacations for a large group? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 07:34 AM PDT I am getting married and I wanted to have a intimate destination wedding with my closest family and friends. I just need to find a reliable website to be able to provide the things I am looking for. I would like to provide a place to sleep and transportation for my guests. Thank you! |
Question: Do you think wedding crashers have no shame? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 06:18 AM PDT I would say yes. Why would they do that in someone happiest day? Do you have experience about this? |
Posted: 12 Mar 2015 09:27 PM PDT I'm good friends with this good friend, Daniel, in the beginning of my freshman year, we went through ups and downs, and then became friends with my current college best friend, Lizzy, (halfway of the first semester). Those two are friends. For some reason we all three became closer as I'm closer to LIzzy. When I hang out with lizzy, she would talk about this daniel like all the time. Like "I hung out with daniel earlier today and we had a lot of fun blah blah" She does it so much to a point its really annoying, as if she's trying to make me jealous. I don't talk about "how fun the others are" when I hang out with either of them. It's like a love triangle but without love. I know it sounds stupid. Don't ask me why she does that. I feel that she doesnt appreciate the friendship she has with me but instead, she blabbers on about him. I've been there for her a lot when she had her issues, where he wasn't there for her. she texted me a lot and every time she would want to hang out or have my help. When we hang out she'll be like let's see daniel and then leaves me out completely when she's with him. I'm fine with Daniel himself (who is very much different from Lizzy), but not how she acts when she's around him. I left college weeks ago due to some reasons and she still messages me about him. How do I confront her about him without pointing out how hurt I feel and how I want her to appreciate the friendship a little more, and not to obsess over this daniel. |
Question: Why isn't there chocolate? Posted: 11 Mar 2015 07:20 PM PDT You hosting a birthday party. You are providing chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream. Suddenly one of the guests comes up and says, "Why isn't there Chocolate?" How do you respond? How would you gauge these responses? A. What do you mean, there's chocolate cake. B. A soliloquie about the properties of chocolate and vanilla, and other science-y stuff. C. A story about how this particular vanilla icecream came to be, including stories of tradition, social expectations, references to studies about happiness and choices. D. Supreme Divination E. You're an idiot, stop asking me stupid questions. F. I didn't have enough money to buy chocolate and vanilla, even though it's possible that I could have gotten smaller containers of each, but I was worried that one would run out quicker than the other and more people would be disappointed that they weren't able to get the one they wanted, so I made a definitive decision that there would be no chocolate ice cream at this party because I am the supreme dictator of birthdays and I will force you to eat vanilla if I want. G. What's your purpose for asking me about chocolate? H. There just isn't! Stop being passive agressive about it, accept it, and then politely tell me whether you would or wouldn't like vanilla! i. You didn't buy any. j. I was purposely trying to make your life miserable. |
