(I am a High school Jr. by the way) I have 2 classes with this girl, and recently she has been trying to talk to me almost daily. On one specific instance, we had a school assembly, and since I never have anyone to sit with in the auditorium, I stand at the top. She came in late, walked over, and said, "I'm going to stand by you." So she just stood there and would look over at me every once and a while, and kept getting closer (I'm not sure if that was just a coincidence or what, though). Also, yesterday, in the class we have together, I saw her walk in so I just said, "Hi, [her name]". She stopped, looked at her usual seat (there is no specified seating arrangement), looked back at me, and then said, "I'm sitting back here now.". I have like a two seat radius around me that no one sits in, so she just sat by me and we talked pretty much that whole period. I'm pretty socially inept, and I can never tell when someone actually cares vs being nice, so please help. The next day I asked him to have sex and he said "can't have class" then I said "when can you" he said "idk shay in class can't talk" then I asked if he still wanted to have sex in general, and he didn't answer. I did communicate that and we discussed. But I have told her I don't feel comfortable dating someone that cannot trust me. We have seen each other a few times in the past month. I've been told that I'm good looking, although, I'm not in the best shape, a lil overweight (175, 5 ft 7in), but I've had a few girlfriends before (dont ask me how I got them, I don't know how I got them, some were out of my league O.o). One thing that has set me back was that I had a bad concussion in the fall through football and I'm still not completely over it yet, and has changed my persona by being more inwards with myself, I pretty much disconnected my social side from October to pretty much until around last month). But I want to go to prom with my friends but I don't know how I'm going to get a date as I don't have any real interest in any of my friends that are girls and they're vice versa. I'm in a lot of smart classes (just fyi) but I don't want to date anyone in any of my classes (past experiences). I Have a hard time finding a girl in my school whom (a) is no less than a sophomore, (b) no taller than I am for the most part, (c) not already in a relationship, and (d) fits my personal preferences (the petty part that everyone considers in a relationship but doesn't want to admit). so really, how can I find a date without making a fool out of myself (forgot to include, not big on doing theatrical stuff)?
