Posted: 19 Mar 2015 02:53 PM PDT So I get As in school, but I've recently dropped my math grade to a B and I have a cousin who goes to same school as me but is a grade below and gets apparently gets As too. My parents started comparing me to her saying that I say all lies, and that I don't work hard enough school when that isn't true at all!!! My cousin is literally doing 5th grade in 7th grade while I'm in 8th grade doing 10th grade math! I'm crying right now but they claim I don't work hard in school but in reality I work my butt off in school!! I keep on crying and crying because everything I do is never good enough for them. They claim they support me no matter what but I know that isn't true (for other reasons). Please what do I do? It's already too late I can't raise my math to an A as tomorrow marks the last day of our 2nd semester and I know I got second honors. (I got first honors the first semester) I'm so upset I don't know what to do |

Later that day on kik my phone detected her from my address book which is funny since I DONT EVEN KNOW HER. so anyways, I asked her all these questions and then she found out I had a crush on him, He later told Him that I had a crush on him and he was like OK and one of his friends heard that and said started laughing and said " A GAY GUY LIKES YOU". I dont want to lose my friendship with my crush, I also dont want to lose my friendship with the guy that was making fun of my crush but I am really scared that the person that was making fun of my crush will tell other people. I am really scared that my crush will hate me now. WHAT DO I DO? I become really good friends with someone for a while, but then I end up getting so itprritated with them and push them away. I try to get new friends but I live in such a small town that I ve gone through everyone I CAN and friends with. They always end up irritating me no matter how much I like them at first. I never want to hang out with anyone, but there are a couple people that I like, but not to the extent I would call them any close friend of mine. My dad always pressures me into hanging out with people and I get so nervous and can t even approach someone to ask them to hang out. I also have a huge secret that I have only ever told 1 person (and I regret that), and I know that if my parents knew they d disown me basically. I also hate my religion right now because I don t believe in any of it but I can t tell my parents I want to leave either. I am obsessed with tv shows and am part of the superwholock fandom, and I use those shows and my fan account as a way of escape. I just want to know why I act this way, and if I can get any advice because all these problems have been doing are getting worse. I've just read through this and realized there are a lot of spelling and grammar issues. That's what happens when you type too quickly (oops). I hope you can ignore those and see what points I'm trying to make. Thanksxx |

I'm on the phone with my boyfriend and I sometimes hear him say things tht r out of place or he somtims hears me say things that r out of place. 4 example: " hey Kevin do u want to play the drawng app"? My boyfriend : " yes of course sweetie!" Me : " do u love my cute drawings I do for you"? (Ghost [not my bf]): " your drawings suck" My boyfriend: "I love your drawings! There so adorable!" I asked my boyfriend. " you don't like my drawngs"? My bf: what do you mean? Me: " didn't you say my drawings suck"? Bf: " I never said that" ( Ghost my boyfriend's side says " I fukn hate you Kevin")( and I hear it. It's someone else with my voice) Boyfriend: " wait what did you say? You hate me?" Me: wait what???? No. Nd somtims the phone would go silent between our conversation nd I wouldn't hear anything. When I finally hear him again he's crying, hurt, or upset because apparently I said mean things or broke up with him when it never happened!! The phone would cut off and whatever is bothering us is telling hurtful things to us. Sometimes I think I'm talking to him but I'm not it's the (ghost) Sometimes he says mean things when a static comes on my phone and his voice turns a bit dark. When I say" Kevin?" We have not spoken in almost 3 months and just talked when we gave our things back. When he broke up with me, he said he wanted to be friends because I was his best friend but would let me do it on my own time. I went on a mission trip for spring break to Belize last week.I did not think about him often but there were random reminders of him there. His name was around which I didnt expect to be in a central american country, and just little things about him were around. I have been doing really well without him and I am happier. I can look at pictures of us and remember the good times and not be sad. He has been on my mind and I have wanted to talk to him but thinking since he broke it off maybe wait until he reaches out. I am also scared he wont respond or want to talk. This guy manipulated me a lot and led me into a depression. It was really hard to be with him and even harder to be without since i felt a lot of guilt during the relationship and completely at fault for the breakup. I am happy now and just me again and i am scared if we talk i may get pulled back into his games or I may find those feelings again. What do I do?! |

Posted: 19 Mar 2015 11:31 AM PDT we were engaged at the age of 17 and she was 18 , officially married last year with me being 20 and she was 21. we are from a muslim country and she wears head scarf to cover hear beauty but she isn't so strict about it she wears it just to avoid trouble as i said she is attractive we are both university students at the same major but i got high GPA so i was awarded an opportunity to do my masters in the US which i will finish in 2017,while she stayed in my homeland. last week she made a surprise and visited me here and she is causing me troubles without meaning it. at first my friends got shocked to see her at the airport . she was dressed like a western woman and then became the topic of discussion till now when they see me and about how stunning she is which makes me angry,to the point of losing them. then she invaded my life here,took my friends , answers my emails and phone calls and even trying to control my diet and the way i dress. she wants to go out and see the country with no consideration to my work here.not just that she is making modifications on my projects when i didn't ask her to do so. when i tried to discuss this with her she got mad and accused me of having a secret lover here and that i don't want her ..which is all false , she is the love of my life since kindergarten so how can i get over her stay here ? so i tried to show her around as she wanted and make her happy but eyes follow her and she likes that it is strange to our culture . |

Posted: 19 Mar 2015 11:30 AM PDT For the past couple of months i've been working on a mobile app. I told my parents about this last month and they were not happy with me for working on an app. They think it's a waste of time. Thing is I have no prior programming experience, no marketing experience. I taught myself programming, and to use different types of softwares that I needed to develop this app. I did a lot of research before I ever started because I want the best possible user experience. My parents are constantly bugging me telling me to release it, get it over with, there saying it's going nowhere (even though they've never seen the app) then get back to more important things in life. I have no background in app development but i'm learning. Are my parents hoping for me to fail so they can say "told you so" or are they expecting me to fail so they can say "told you so"? |

We're waiting until after she finishes grad school. My fiancΓ©e is going through a lot. She works full time and goes to school part time. Plus, her parents have a really bad relationship in which one of them recently attempted suicide and the other was insensitive about it. Now my fiancΓ©e tries to mediate between them as professional counseling hasn't helped. I've told her I'm here for whatever she needs or wants from me. A few days ago my fiancΓ©e came over my apt. and she started making out with me on the bed. She started unbuttoning her clothes and when I asked her to stop, she reminded me how I said I'd do anything for her and said "I really want you." She has seemed so sad about everything going on the past few weeks, I wanted to stop her from doing something she'd regret. I told her I love her and am unbelievably attracted to her, but I was trying to keep us accountable to the promise we made. It has been a few days and she has barely told me what's been going on in her life. She is usually so rational and kind despite her troubling family life. I'm not sure how to help her or what such an immense level of stress means for the future of our relationship. |

Non ne ho mai parlato, per me è un po' strano scriverlo qua, ma ho veramente bisogno di un parere! Sinceramente da che io ricordi ho sempre avuto le labbra minori sporgenti, più carnose e scure - color gelato alla fragola diciamo ahah - rispetto a qualsiasi altra donna io abbia mai visto (però non asimmetriche) e non mi ero mai posta il problema. Ultimamente però ho iniziato a depilarmi totalmente e ci faccio molto più caso. Noto che si vedono un po' con alcuni leggins e ho smesso di indossarli, inoltre la scorsa estate avevo il terrore di mettermi in costume e se lo facevo mi buttavo subito in acqua. Se vado in bagno con le amiche o devo cambiarmi chiedo di girarsi, e mi guardano tutti un po' strano. Ora sto con un ragazzo da un anno e come è normale abbiamo fatto qualcosa..... solo a lui. Questa cosa mi blocca. Ho paura che possa trovarlo antiestetico o addirittura schifoso... Io non lo trovo così, e anzi per quanto riguarda il piacere lo trovo un vantaggio, inoltre essendo bisessuale penso che al posto suo non sarebbe per me un problema..... ma ho pensato, forse perché io sono fatta così è quindi non provo ribrezzo. We don't really get along because she takes up space in the kitchen, never says hi unless I do, and wants everything her way, so I just stay in my room and so does she. I told her days ago that if she has any more problems to just tell me and she agreed and we went about her ways. Now, my boyfriend and I have been together a while and he lives on campus too and recently started sleeping over my place since I'm sick, & I have my own space. However, my suitemate has been acting bothersome and peaking to see who he is, being loud & when he comes in she swings her door open and basically being rude to me now.( I told her I'd she has a problem to tell me) Does she have the right to be upset? Ps. He's the only person I ever bring over & never goes in the living space unless leaving or entering and I walk with him. And usually leaves when she's not there or awake (We usually spend the whole day outside my dorm, I never go in my room until night anyway) My door is always closed, we also whisper to each other and do not have sex (I know shocker), we keep quiet and go to bed early, and the building dosent have any policies about guests. She also hardly brings anyone over but when she does they are always loud and she dosent seem to care. But do I need to talk to her about it, would you be upset or care? |

She was in the car honking and opened the door, stuck my head out & waited for her to roll down the window. I said "Can you just let me walk & be late?" She then started getting super mad and got out the car and was like "yeah, but GIVE ME YOUR PHONE", then she said "And you're not getting it back." Does that even make sense? She doesn't even know that my social anxiety there is always on 10 and people are always rude to me. I met him again 2013 whiles assisting at the reception. i checked him in, briefed him in his booking and number to dial for assistance, minutes later he called the board and demanded for my number saying he needs to talk to me thus his situation was becoming difficult. months later we dated, a year later im pregnant with his child. Now i find out his married since 2009 and has two children with the wife, but still want to meet my family. Already planning to get a house. and now im angry and furious. He has been married for 5 years previous to our relationship and left his wife for me. His wife fell pregnant 3 months after meeting him, and since then he says he was never really happy, but married her anyway. At first I thought i could cope but now i m utterly confused. He is 30, I am 24. Over time I have been thinking more, and I don t understand how he can just walk out on his wife and 2 children, what if he ever did this to me in the future when "times were tough"? He NEVER sees his children, in fact, as terrible as it may sound, I think he is a very poor example of a farther. He pays for his children ( A decent sum of money as he earns a good wage ) but seems to have no interest in them. I have found text messages suggesting he was meant to be seeing them but would then pretend that he was ill and he could t go. when i confronted him about this he said he hated seeing his wife and hated leaving me. I don t know where to turn, I care about him and I know he would be distraught if i left him as hes changed his life drastically for me but I m constantly upset and confused and I m not living my life! It was after we had already been together sexually but weeks before we became an item. She had kissed someone the same night but I had sex. This was a few years ago but she won't let it go and brings it up regularly. I've never cheated and never have given her a reason to think I am. We spend 90% of our time together. She is kind, caring and takes care of me but when it comes to me going out with friends or any other issues she is extremely strict and freaks out. she breaks up with me, she shuts me out for a day n says some nasty violent things. Then after she takes back what she says. No matter how I handle things she doesn't control her actions. Before she has even contacted someone I work with and accuse them of cheating with me, and all because they liked a post on my fb wall. I have never done anything. In saying this, there are so many reasons she is worth it. She does very caring things for me and my parents when not asked, and she doesn't even live here, she paints my room and buys me things I need that I wouldn't buy, she is loving and caring and apologize s for how she is after we fight. is this my fault and should I put up with it and maybe go to counselling with her, or should we break up before we have kids etc...She is all I want in a wife bar the extreme insecurityand reactions. It's understandable on his part not wanting to jump into something again quickly, but my heart couldn't deal with it. So we parted on good terms and decided to be friends. About three weeks after we split it was my bday, he texted me a Happy bday and we had a very short text conversation. There had been no contact before this after our split. After it though, he started liking things on my Facebook something he never does, he is not a Facebook person. The following Fri, I am really lonely . I felt the need to call him. We had a great conversation and then he invited me over, I should've declined, but I'm weak. I go over, we eat, drink watch movies , hook up..... the next morning he cooks me breakfast we talk like old times even more. Maybe we're turning a corner? Nope, when I go to leave he says "I'll see together around", before it was always I'll see you soon .... and of course I've heard nothing from him at all. My friend says I've probably lost any hope of getting him back now because I basically cheapened myself by going to see him? Another friend says maybe not, because guys don't always over think things like women do. Thoughts? |

I am Half African American and Korean and her father is Arabic. her father and I met when we were 18, our relationship was always a secret the only people who knew was his siblings. eventually I had gotten pregnant and decided to keep the baby, however he didn't. So he left, his sister, and brothers have all managed to keep in contact with me in secrecy despite how their parents feel and they know about my daughter. He left because of our racial differences and once his parents found out about me and the baby then his parents had told him that if he accepted us then he would be "dishonored" from the family. She's never seen or heard from him, and recently I asked his sister about him and she confirmed that he lived 2 states over from me. I am not sure what to do, have her meet him and not understand why he can't be in her life and won't be accepted to his family? or not let her meet him and always have this emptinessbut keep her protected? |

But I do have a few questions about the whole process like would I have to pay again to change my name on my past documents? Like my passport, would I have to pay for a brand new passport with a different name or will they send me a new one if I show legit paper work that I did in fact change my name? There are these two guys at school that go out of their way to be nasty to me. From talking badly about me wearing "too" much makeup to going around in front of many many people and saying that I'm a wanna be and that I'm being a *****. By the way, both these guys have liked me for such a long time but when I told both of them nicely that I don't want to go out with them, they seem to be at least semi understanding. Then just recently is when they started saying bad stuff about me to a bunch of guys. I have not been rude to them, or ignorant. So first off, I wear just as much makeup as I did when they liked me and I have not changed the way I act or anything. Secondly, when I confronted one of them and stood up for myself, he continued even further to talk bad about me. They're so hateful and rude to me. Please tell me what this could be. Why do they hate me all of a sudden and why are they so stuck on making me feel bad about myself. Again, this is way more extreme than flirting meanness. |

He told me he wasn't getting drunk and spent the whole night watching them play pool. I then find out that he was hammered and spent a bit of time out in the car "taking a nap by himself" as his sister put it. I do have serious trust issues as I have been cheated on in the past, so I am having an extremely hard time dealing with this right now. I politely introduced myself and everything. But then for some reason she started hating me for no reason. I literally did nothing. One point we were sitting at this table and she's glaring at me with this angry death-stare for like 30 seconds straight, so I give a "wtf?" look and she rolls her eyes at me. Then later on in the night somehow I ended up sitting next to her (don't know how that happened), and she randomly motions for this random dude I've never seen before to come over and steal my seat. The dude says "but what about him (me), looks he is sitting there." and she points to me and says "F*CK HIM!" right in front of my face and basically pushes me out of my seat. I can't wear anything other than jeans and sweaters because I think that people will think It's weird, and if I wear jeans and sweaters people will think I'm a gross awkward shy person, and that's exactly who I am. I never build up the courage to wear makeup out, because at the last minute I start to think that I look gross and my makeup is horrible. I'm not confident in anything, I can only do and wear things other people do but inside I really wish I could wear what I want. I get super nervous if someone looks at me, or if I hear someone laughing. I really want to not care and trust me, I've been trying for at least ten years but I still can't! I want to be myself so bad but it's impossible. Even if I keep telling myself that no one cares and that my problems are tiny, I still can't. I hate it so much I can't stand going outside in public, I can't stand people or school because people at school already hate me (I've heard them say stuff about me and my friends) And school is such a tiny portion of your life, but It's just so difficult. I'm too scared to do what I want because I don't want people to think that I'm strange but I'm pretty sure it's too late for that. |

He then said that we should just be friends. Literally the next day, he said "I love you" and asked me to formally be his girlfriend. I got mad at him because I wanted clarity, and then he got defensive, started calling me names, and made me the bad guy. He's now giving me the silent treatment, aside from a few times when he messaged nasty comments about me being SO difficult to talk to. I deleted him from my life and am trying so hard to move on, but I can't stop crying over this tool. I'm so hurt by him, and I feel the pain literally in my body. I'm a college student, live at home, and commutes. Parents divorced 7 years ago. 4 years after the divorce she didn't work, just chilled at home living off the lump sum, collecting child support + alimony. Past 3 years she is in and out of jobs. She usually quits them for one reason or another. She's gotten worse over the past year Bc my dad lost his job last yr and has a lower paying job, so now her child support is much lower. She told me today "it's more important to have a job than a boyfriend, you know", insinuating i should help her. My bf and her clash. He thinks she's horrible, lazy, bitter, aggressive. She thinks he is a player and will never commit. She mocks + insults me about it, "she says, you really think he's gonna marry you, huh?" Then she laughs. "He married his 1st wife in 2 months, where the ring?" always tries to provoke me. My bf is in his late 30s btw. I'm starting to think she really is the problem though. He is very stable, has a great attitude, career, isn't lazy, and energizing to be around. Idk if she wants to sabotage my relationship because she is bitter or if she genuinely is concerned. She called me "(my name) the prostitue" the other day because we aren't engaged yet & I go see him instead of him driving to see me, but it's the only place we can have privacy & stay away from her. | Question: How can I stop interrupting people? Posted: 18 Mar 2015 06:49 PM PDT I've probably had this problem my whole life to some extent... but at work it seems more noticeable. I've made some colleges really mad at me by interrupting them. In other aspects of my life I'm very courteous and I am always mortified by interrupting as soon as I do it. Today a coworker really told me off about it. Usually when I do it I'm actually doing a few other things at once and just blurt out a piece of information on the subject on the fly. A few other times when I've THOUGHT there was a break in conversation and added something about it I was snapped at about how the other person "was talking" (Even though they had actually finished talking and I'd waited a few seconds...) . And those are just the times I've noticed, there must be a lot more. I'm just really frustrated since I do NOT want to be that rude person, I hate and am embarrassed by being that person, especially since it's being done to people I respect... but when I do it I'm not thinking so I'm finding it really hard to correct. |

I think I'm facing a lot of emotional abuse at home but I'm not sure if this is normal or not. My brothers and my dad have anger issues and can sometimes get violent. When this happens my mom as well as them often blame me for crying or giving them reason to be mad. I have a younger brother with some clinical mental issues and when he breaks down in my care I get in big trouble, cursed at, sent away, called names etc. even though he acts like this for everyone, Even daycare teachers. My older brother in particular is especially mean, hitting me, throwing things at me cursing at me, ridiculing me for my appearance, weight and intelligence. I don't want to be a weak person, but I have resorted to cutting (and over self harm) and even attempted suicide. I try to apologize, even when someone is just angry with me, but that makes them more angry. Nothing makes it stop, even pleading and begging. I have applied to thirteen colleges, so far have been accepted to 7 with scholarships and have yet to even hear back from the other 5. I want to be happy about this, but when I receive a letter with good news I have to keep it I myself because for some reason it makes my older brother angry. I am just hoping to go to a far away school and start over. Am I overreacting? What can I do? I need hope, I want to let myself live long enough for a second chance, but it's so hard. |

I watch it once a week tops. My girlfriend is very controlling about the issue and keeps making false threats to leave me, and gives me non-stop grief about it for days. I have never lied about it, and have been completely honest about watching it every time she asks me if I have been watching it, or checks my computer history. I don't understand this woman. I work all day to provide most of the bills, cook for her, clean, take her out nice places, and always buy her gifts. I have never cheated and would never cheat. I have never laid a finger or even yelled at her at this woman, yet she treats me like the worse possible boyfriend in the world. I think there is no reasoning with her and it's about time for me to end things with her. There is only so much a person can take, and I am not giving in to be controlled in this way. Anything I had for her has completely destroyed by her controlling ways and behaving more like a mother than a girlfriend. Any advice how I can end things? The thing is, she lives in my house and I don't think she will leave without causing drama. |
