I don't like being weird, ugly, and awkward because it holds me back from having nice friends and being liked. Even though I am not the most disliked in college, I am still disliked by a few and talked about. I used to have bad habit such as :runnin, talking to myself, and showing people videos on my phone. Now the new habit that people are complaining about is how I have a permanent frown on my face (looking mean) and it makes me unapproachable to people who would like to be friendly. There were some moments I would act desperate for friends. Even though my behavior was wrong, inexcusable, and desperate, I can see why I acted that way. I've always had issues with making friends for over a decade. It was damn near impossible for me to make friends in middle school, and it's still hard now (but not impossible). People get picked on and judged a lot for having no friends, and it's no fun being alone all the time. It was so bad that I even allowed one girl to treat me like crap in middle school because I had no friends. I understand that I need to be myself, and that it's a waste of time to be someone I'm not, but I don't think anyone should be weird at the age of 22. I do talk to people though. Before judging me on how I feel, put yourself in my shoes. If you were constantly called ugly and weird, and you had no friends and your siblings had friends, wouldn't you feel insecure and resentful too? |

Posted: 20 Mar 2015 05:16 PM PDT I'm a senior and I'm trying to decide whether to pay to take a limo with my friends to our prom or to just drive myself ( they would still take the limo. I don't have a date so I wouldnt b driving him). The prom is 15 minutes away from my house. I live in a ritzy neighborhood so Ive never heard of someone here driving them self to the prom, they always take limos. My mom thinks I should drive, my dad doesnt have an opinion on the matter. I'd be driving one of my parents' cars (I don't have my own) so either a Cadillac or a bmv. The limo would be ~100 for me and it would be a Cadillac escalade. Any thoughts? I won't be drinking or doing any drugs. Thanks! |

She asked me what I want to do with my life and I told her I'm applying to university and want to study medical. She applied for the same school and wants to become a doctor as well. I know she always copies my dresses and hairstyles but I hate it because she wants to prove that she's better than me but doing what I like to do. I already got declined from school. Eversince her and her first boyfriend broke up since February of last year, she has been in 2 relationships while not really being her first boyfriend. Her second relationship started days after she and her first Boyfriend broke up after being together for 6 years. She was heartbroken, not recovered nor over her first BF. She rushed with her Second boyfriend and did things like having a sexual relationship with him. Came home from his place at 4am. Always came late. Her first boyfriend was trying to get her back. She told her first boyfriend she will never love anyone as she loved him[first boyfriend]. That relationship ended after 8 months on November last year. She began dating again on January this year with her third & current boyfriend, who was a childhood friend of mine. She met him through me in 2012, our senior year. They began dating after talking a lot on Facebook. By the looks of things, she is repeating herself doing things she did in her second relationship with her second ex. I have been suspecting that she is having sex with him just because she began dating him pretty soon after her second relationship ended. I want to ask & try to understand why is she like this? When I asked them to spend the night tonight my friend said her mom said no and my other friend said she didn't want to unless my other friend did, she then posted on Instagram of them hanging out tonight. They don't sit with me at lunch because they are too busy with their boyfriends, same with the weekend. We were supposed to go to a music festival tomorrow but they bailed because they wanted to spend time with their boyfriends. They are literally my only friends. It just really hurts that they dont want to spend time with me, I talked to my friend about it eterday and she said it was because I am only fun to be around when I am high, and that was one time. They keep trying to get me to do drugs like cocaine LSD shrooms, I just don't want to I'm not about that kind of stuff. It's not like I'm a social outcast, like I said I have a good group of friends, it's just I always just find myself alone and it mentally upsets me. I have a lot of work to do for A levels so finding any new hobbies may be a challenge and hasn't really helped in the past...I just don't know how to escape this horrible cycle, it's such an awful feeling and I don't see a solution. I've also tried talking to new people but nothing has changed :( |

But we text every single day, and share our problems and advice. I do love her dearly as a friend. So i told her about my brother who was arrested for stealing. I was getting annoyed with her, she would keep asking me when i was going to visit him. Ive told him before that i dont know if i feel comfortable going to a jail, i know that sounds awful but it just does. If my brother asked me to see him, i would, but i prefer to write to him which i do all the time, and send him pictures of his kids. "lol why are you so insistent?" which in my mind doesnt sound like a big deal. i did tell her i was in a bad mood, especially since my car tire had broken. but then she tells me that my comment had made her depressed all day, and that i shouldnt "take out my anger on people." I dont really see how i took out my anger on her. In my family we say what is necessary and five minutes later we act like nothing is wrong. I did tell her sorry, even though i felt i didnt do anything wrong. but it kind of left a sour feeling inside of me. she said that her family takes their BS out on her, and that she knew i was feeling frustrated, but that it hurt her feelings. i feel like i cant be honest with her now, and havent texted her all week. She always talks to me when she is frustrated with problems with her family, and i help her out. I dont mind being there for people, but i dont want anyone to change me. Me and my friend both have dragons (just go with it and stop thinking that im insane) yes we get bullied for having pet dragons and other imaginary friends but when you are a loser like us then you need something. So what happened was my sister, my sisters bestfriend / girlfriend. And my friend. So my sister and her bestfriend ended up getting in a relationship and they got closer and me and my friend got closer. I use to spend a lot of time at their apartment to hang with my bestfriend and her boyfriend and I'd always spend time with them. So one day my my sister decided to kick me out of the apartment and my bestfriend was pissed and her and her BF came to pick me up and bring me back. So long story short my bestfriend and her BF broke up and she was depressed and I was there for her thru it all. I watched them be together and argue. So after her being there for me thru things and me being there for her thru things they got back together months later. We always talked on the phone, skype and everything and once they got back together we still talk but not as much as we use to when they were broken up. She kinda acted like this when they first got together also. We still hung out and talked but once they started getting closer she'd be around him more than me. I mean one thing about me is I'm in houston now (I moved and she's still in kansas.) She's on vacation with her BF now and she didn't respond to my message and we haven't talked in 3 days. But days she's bored at work she'd call me and we'd have a long convo. She'd call and be like I was bored and wanted to talk. To be honest she is there for me. My brother had to go there but didn't wanna repeat but now he goes to a really good school and I would rather go there and get into a good Highschool for 9th grade than stay at my school Cuz the kids make me feel so depressed and make me dislike who I am and I really just wanna get away from them. She had asked me on several occasions if this particular "doctor" had worked on or seen my mom. I was unsure but told her the doctors name sounded very familiar to me but in trauma I saw so many doctors & surgeons & those 3 days were all such a blur to me to be honest. I couldn't even comprehend it all. She even went as far as to ask me to read the name of the doctor who signed my mothers death certificate when we received it to see if it was this "doctor" Anyway, spoke to her today hadn't spoken to her in awhile & she told me she called the "doctor" on MY behalf & told him that I wanted to thank all the nurses & doctors for all they had done for my mother at the hospital. I then found out that her & this "DOCTOR" were discussing my mothers medical records, notes doctors had took when she arrived to trauma unit via helicopter etc. notes that my father & I never saw, private notes about my mothers condition, family history etc. I've never felt so betrayed or angry in my life!!! While I realize my mother is dead & her medical history SHOULDNT matter anymore, I'm still VERY uncomfortable with the two of them discussing my mothers medical history. Not just that but that she had the NERVE to use me & my moms death as an excuse to talk to some doctor she liked. |

It's at a seniors house and a bunch of seniors and juniors are gonna be there and because Im friends with a lot of juniors so I got invited. Up until this point we've mostly just talked at school but I invited her to hang out this weekend. Everything was fine until this morning (Friday) when she told me she wouldn't be able to come anymore. She's been staying with a family of one of the teachers at my school but doesn't like them and has been trying to move out for a while. She finally found a family that would take her this week and found out this morning she's moving tomorrow. It came as a suprise so she hadn't even started preparing to leave and she told me she wouldn't be able to hang out anymore. I asked her if she could hang out just for the afternoon and she said she needed to pack. Then, I asked her if she needed help packing and she said no. I wasn't actually mad about this, just disappointed. But just a little while ago she posted a picture on her snapchat story of her at the gym with some of the other girls from my school. So I know she wasn't just busy packing, she flaked out on me. Part of me wants to text her and tell her I know, and part of me still really wants to friends with her and doesn't want to rock the boat. What do I do? |

Our friendship is weird and quirky. He says douche bag things to get under my skin and teases me, and I just reply sarcastically. We're always laughing and smiling when we're together. And we have just a plain weird way of talking. There was once a time where a kid was all up in my face, and he pushed him away from me and told him to get lost. It wasn't the only time he's done stuff like that. And he NEVER talks about other girls. We give each other space when we're around other friends, but one of his groups of friends makes him act different and I don't feel like I can talk to him while he's around them. Other than that, we get along really well and enjoy being together. People think we should start dating, but I want more people's opinions on our friendship. Is it normal to feel like I embarrass him around certain people, so I just stay away? Does he like me or his he just being a good friend? Long story short, I was very devoted to her and supported her throughout her struggles with mental illness, but I got to the point where enough was enough. I said something a few months ago when I lost my job and was told, "I'm expecting a bonus in about a month." At the end of the month, I brought it up again and got no response. After several weeks of occasional contact (during which I didn't say anything about the money) I again brought it up and was, in a rather brusk tone, asked how much she owed. Since then (several days now) no contact whatsoever. Rather than continue to torture myself, I've decided to write her off as a friend because I feel too hurt over what has happened. So ... Do I just block her on facebook (we are currently friends) and let her figure it out on her own, or do I send her an email explaining what I'm doing and why? I'm also planning on blocking her phone number and email address. Yeah, I know, "scorched Earth," but if I'm going to dismantle a bridge ... why use a crowbar when a few sticks of dynamite will do the trick a great deal faster? There is no proof I gave her the money, so the cops aren't an option. At this point, I've given up on getting any of the money back |

I am in my early 20s and she's in her mid 20s so we are definitely not teenagers or kids and should know how to act around people by now. She always puts me down in subtle ways. She will say some guy at a bar was looking at her and will point out every guy who is interested in her or who hits on her and make a big deal out of it. I am nice looking and get as much if not more attention but I do not make a big deal out of it. We are both same height and same weight ( im 5lbs more and a couple inches taller in height with c cup boobs and she has a cups so same difference). Posted: 20 Mar 2015 01:45 PM PDT Everyone has their own school email and it's quite easy to go into someone else's email account as long as you have their 6-digit school id. My class was typing our research papers and everyone had to sign into their account. My friend pointed out about another friend of ours and I just happened to remember about half of his school id. I made a joke about how I knew his password, and my friend begged me to go on his account. I guessed the last two digits, AND APPARENTLY THEY WERE CORRECT. Yep, we were on his account, I already felt so freaking bad because we were looking at all his documents. I kinda didn't want to continue but my friend kept telling me to first "read the document" and then "lets edit his paper". I really should've stopped, i'll admit that. But wouldn't this be partially my friends fault too because she's the one who wanted to burrow into his account? We told him the following lunch, but it was only me who told him, my friend stood quiet smirking. I didn't expect him to yell at me and tell me he would tell the principal (he's usually a funny and nice guy). I couldn't say anything, and I didn't want to say how my friend was part of it too, this means that I was taking FULL RESPONSIBILITY. He also yelled at me while we were walking home together, saying not to do it again. i still took full responsibility. I'm home from school, SO, SOOO upset. Should I continue to take all the blame? She's been very dramatic lately (a ton of stuff I don't want to get into) and it exhausted me. I just feel like we don't fit, but the worst part is she has no idea anything's wrong. We weren't close at all while he lived here but we said we'd keep in touch and surprisingly we did. The last 6 months we've been texting almost daily and I got so close to him. And then for the past month or so he's been really distant, not texting me for days, not replying for hours and hours (once he ignored me for 12) so last night I sent him a message asking him if we've been distant lately. He said yes and I pretty much said "do you still want to be friends" then things got messy when he told me he's been to busy with minecraft to text me, and like most people I think, I got upset that he literally said he liked a video game better than me. I am the only one left out in class. After my class completely started ignoring me, i stopped my social interactions. To the point where i don't even respond when someone talks to me. This ruined me. I trusted my other friend more so I talked to her about my problems instead of my best friend. She didn't even know what happened just that I was sad. But she accused me of wanting attention from her. That wasn't true I was actually having a terrible day and if I had wanted the group's attention I would've told them what was wrong. And than I was mad and I really Didn't talk to her. But I talked about the situation with my boyfriend and he said they sent a text talking crap about me. My boyfriend sent a whole text saying they were bullying me. so they agreed that they were wrong And they apologized. But to some extent I do wanT attention But now in this group I juSt feel like I'm always ignored or told to shut up. And I never whine or cry about her Ignoring me but when she's Not the center Of attention she throws a fit. I'm still hurt by what they said and I just feel like I'm Tired if being in her shadow. I want to feel equal and I don't want to be around people who don't have good things to say about me. Me and my other friend created a language while she was around. And my friend i created the language with went on and created this little group. But my best friend is mad because she's not apart of it. She never helped she was only there when we made it and I don't want to stop being her friend but I want to make some new friends and be where I am happy. |

I have always been really insecure because I'm 5'1 with pretty much no curves (imagine miley cyrus's body except much shorter :/).Just this year I have begun to accept myself and feel somewhat confident.
