| Question: Is my boyfriend being abusive? Posted: 30 Mar 2015 04:01 PM PDT I can't tell if he is abusive or not? I know he definitely had anger issues but sometimes he gets physical. For instance, I can be happy and smiling and laughing with him but if for some reason I'm annoying him which is everything I do when he's in a bad mood he will grab my hard hard and push me. Sometimes he will punch my arm. Or leg. And it's not super hard but he definitely intended to make me feel something. And he's doing it out of anger. But I'm never in a bad mood when it happens so I just call him a jerk and walk away from him. It makes me kind of sad but I'm generally just a happy person and I like being in a good mood so I let it go and just smile and hope he apologizes which he never does unless it's forced by me. One time he even punched me in the head and it was pretty hard but he did feel really bad after that one. I think he cried but idk for sure because I wouldn't even look at him for an hour afterwords. He'll do these things I random anger outburst and then go back to being normal if I am. But if I act sad or like I'm upset about what happened he tells me it's my fault and that Im annoying or this word or that word. He talks down to me a lot but words don't hurt my feelings so I let it go. I laugh actually because it's sad how angry he can get. I feel bad for him actually that something bothers him tht bad. I think he feels had after and he's mever repeatedly hurt me. Just one thing then he stops. Is this abuse or no? I'm so torn. |

Which I have always had problems with them. They try to control my husbands life by throwing themselves in the middle of him and I. By the time that he graduates boot camp I will be 8 months pregnant, and it is about an 8 hour drive so I really don't need to be driving that far. So my plan was to go with my mom and dad. Now this is the part that I am confused with. His sister, his mom, and his sisters boyfriend all are supposed to be going too. they say that they cant afford to go up there for 2 days and expect me and my husband to pay their way, which would be acceptable if i didn't call bull. They have plenty of money and will do anything to get a FREEE ride. They asked me if they camp up with 800$ to go if me and my husband could pay them back..... I wanted to laugh because it doesn't take 800.00$ to get to SC from FL. What do I do about this? She has gone behind my back and already wrote him about it, which meant that i had to put my foot down and write my opinion as well to him. I am lost and very angry.... HELP |

I have never dealt with something like this before and it obviously hurts me (I'm 18). It hurts to see my mom cry, and the situation itself just sucks. Apart from all of this, I decided to leave my ex because not 3 days passed after my father died and she started to make up her own POINTLESS drama... like I didn't have enough to deal with already. We ended up getting back together 2 more times (yes in one month). But it was always the same thing with her.. I ended up getting so mad I cursed her out 2 days ago and left her. It was very ugly and I feel very guilty about it and admit I do miss her a lot.. What should I do? |

Within two days of breaking up she met someone else, I have known her for 7 years and been in a relationship for a little over 3 years. I have turned to suicide twice already and failed. I am afraid of death but it seems the only way to get rid of the pain. I want to live and get on with my life and be happy but I have no friends because I give everything up to be with her and now I'm in a dark and lonely place with no way out. Same preschool, daycare, grade school, junior high, high school, AND college. This past February she asked me to help her move. I said I would help, the day we began the moving process my grandmother (the woman who practically taught her and I everything we know) was sent to the hospital due to failing health. Later on that week she passed away. With that on my mind it was nearly impossible to help her move. She was my idol and it was my first loss of someone I was close to. A week after this all happened I became very ill. A gastric infection. My cousin brought me to the hospital and sat with me for 5 hours. I was very appreciative. That night I was supposed to help her move but I was clearly sick. I couldn't bare to be on my phone either. My boyfriend had to let her know we couldn't help her. A week passed by. Our work schedules are not at all compatable. She called me while I was at work. My job requires a vehicle 24/7 so my clients are able to get to the places they need to go. She wanted to use my car to move stuff (she has her own as well but her mom was using hers to drive & grab stuff too). I told her no. She got mad and called me horrible names. I have ignored her since then. She has shown up to my house multiple times uninvited & yelled at me infront of my grandparents. I want to stop all contact. She's just bringing me down. What should I do about this? |

She's dainty and girly and really doesn't worry about most frivolous things. She carries herself like a queen and I've always admired her strength and elegance compared to my more tomboyish attitude. But my dad is rough. His job involves a lot of violence, he's more rugged and swears like a sailor (Not around my mom or if any women are in earshot). But my mom is an angel on earth and my dad is a total brute. They really remind me of Bowser and Peach from Mario. I asked my mom about why she loves my dad and she just told me "He is a brute and he has a lot of qualities that I wish I could switch off at times. But he's so much more than I deserve." Most of clothes come from Abercrombie/similar stores to it. She told that why would someone want to be friends with me the way I dress and with my hairstyle. Mostly normal with a skater girl and preppy girl edge and my hair is shoulder length with side sweet bangs. I happen to mention thisone time about what I had for lunch and she immediately flipped out concluded I was on a diet which I wasn't. I had nachos coz that was the only main course besides cheese pizza. I don't mind getting critism from my other family members but she has harsh criticism. But I'm trying to battle my passive behavior and speak up. I moved in with my roommate almost a year ago. When I moved in she said she was diagnosed with a brain delay and was premature. But as I have lived with her I realize she is also depressed, she pulls her hair, and was never taught how to clean or cook or any basic life skills. She knows she has these problems but refuses to try to develop or help herself at all. When she pulls her hair I find it all over the floor. She puts dishes on the table or by th fridge. Which the way that our house is set up, she is walking farther to put the dishes in the wrong place. She chews with her mouth wide open. She is so clingy to me. I went out to eat with a friend after work one time and she kept texting my boyfriend asking him if he knew where I was. She even said that she couldn't go to sleep without me being there. She is gay and I am proud ofher for coming out but the girl she first had sex with used her. That girl had another girlfriend the whol time they were screwing around and my roommate KNEW IT and let herself be used! Now that the girl cut it off between them she is devastated. I comforted her for a while. But its been 8 months and she still talks about it and cries about it. She never cleans anything ever. One day I asked her to help me around the house and to start cleaning up after herself (btw i'm 22 and she s 27) and she still doesn't help. |

All the time. I also have sex a lot and I don't know if it's good for me or what? I have sex with so many people and it's not because I have no "self respect" its just because I love it! I can't be in a committed relationship, I can't stick to one person.. I can't do any of that. I love sex with different people. So I'm not sure if I should stop or what? Is it bad? I personally don't think it is but I don't know is it an actual disorder? Help. Before sexists and Christians answer: 1. I love myself lol, I love myself more than anybody or anything. 2. I'm not insecure, I am the most confident person I know. 3. I am on the shot, and I have never came close to pregnancy. I also can afford abortion so please don't be weird. 4. I know about STDs, I'm all good okay. I use protection and I get checked after every two partners. 5. I DO NOT CARE WHAT PEOPLE SAY. I live in a town full of weird and simpleminded people, I can't even try to care what they think. 6. My mother and I are very close so she knows what I do. She just wants me to be safe. 7. Sometimes we ll have conversations and he'll say I'm really intelligent and one time he even listed the traits I should look for in a partner. And they were pretty accurate, he seems to keep saying I'm like him in lots of ways and encourages me to get into academia. Onetime he made a comment that if I was over 35 he Wud date me!? I was like what! I think he got carried away I'm 22 and he's like 50 and single but still... I try to keep conversations with him short now but feel uneasy is this nothing to worry abt? I already has the grill going (i work at BK (Burger King)) so I told him to can it. He FREAKED on me saying he was gonna push me into a school zone and call the cops, he knows I'm not allowed to be in there cause i Disclosed my past to him once before. Anyhow I told him he better watch himself cause I have tricks up my sleaves you know? I can do anything I want. I order mexican food out 4-5 times a week to give you a reference point. so this guy and myself are jabbering back and forth and he orders 8 double cheeseburgers all for himself, I say, "what are you a fatty?l" and he screams SEE YOU NEXT TUESDAY AT ME AND WALKS OUT! I was flabbergasted, also I burned my hand on the grill that day and it is now infected, I'm talking oozing pus now. I have eczema as well. They went off in different direcrions and i was stupid enough to go see if they were ok. My dad grabbed me around the neck and said it was my fault they wanted to divorce and if i told anyone he would kill me. I kicked him and he let go and i ran. No one else saw him do this.
