Question: How to sell corsages? Posted: 14 Mar 2015 10:49 PM PDT I am a senior in highschool. I partnered up with a local florist and I'm going to be selling corsages and boutonnieres for ball on may 9th. What is the best way to get out there and what should I price them at? |

Question: Any tips for throwing an Avatar: the Last Airbender themed wedding? Posted: 14 Mar 2015 03:19 PM PDT Fiance would be an earthbender, I'd be a (Northern) Water Tribe Avatar. Ceremony is between 50 and 75 people. Anything party wise on Avatar: the Last Airbender is for childrens birthday parties... |
Posted: 14 Mar 2015 02:34 PM PDT They have 4 children together ages 12 years to 4 months...all planned except the first one. They are responsible adults who own a home and have waited to get married so they could save for a special wedding. The Maid of Honor wonders if it is appropriate to have a bridal shower. Are there rules about this? |
Posted: 14 Mar 2015 12:40 PM PDT So I love the Pavilion for a wedding reception. However since it is large enough to fit up to 500 people I was wondering what the minimum amount of people would be to still use it. My wedding will be smaller, 100 or slightly under so I know it's possibly out of reach. I just wanted to know if anyone had any info on either minimum price or minimum amount of people? Yes I emailed them and will probably hear back on Monday, but I am just trying to get an idea now. Thank you |

Question: Is nude/lace appropriate for a wedding? Posted: 14 Mar 2015 12:16 PM PDT I'm going to a friend's wedding in a couple of weeks and have bought this dress: http://m.wallis.co.uk/h5/product?productId=18745656 It is nude and definitely not white but I'm still unsure whether it's too bridal because it's a light colour and lacy. Is it safer to get something else? |
Question: My mom doesn't want me to get married? Posted: 14 Mar 2015 10:23 AM PDT I'm 21 my fiancé is 22. My mom likes my boyfriend but doesn't want me to get married until I'm finished with school and get a career. I want to get married now but she is always so doubtful. She thinks I'm not ready! But I feel that I am. I've never had a real relationship until this one and she thinks I'm too inexperienced. The problem is she sees marriage as your life "slowing down" and you cant be a "free" person anymore. I see marriage a your life just beginning. My mother has never been married this is just an observation from her. What would you do in this situation? And if you're wondering, his family completely supports it. |
Question: Long mismatched bridesmaids dresses, short MOH dress? Posted: 14 Mar 2015 08:52 AM PDT This is just something I have been thinking about, no set plans yet. I was thinking of dresses in all the same color and fabric. Long dresses for the bridesmaid (4), letting them choose their style (straps, cut, etc) and a short dress for MOH. I had originally wanted everyone in long dresses but when I brought that up I could tell MOH was dissapointed/thinking she'd be uncomfortable. I don't think she would pitch a fit if I asked her to wear a long dress but I want my girls to be comfortable and happy! I also wanted my MOH to have a different dress and if I let everyone choose their own style of long dress, I'm not sure how she'd stand out as MOH with a long dress as well. Since they would probably all end up being in different long dresses. Again, this isn't something I have to worry about just yet but I am wondering if anyone has seen/done this look. I can't seem to find any pictures of what I'm looking for on the internet. Read more: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/long-mismatched-bridesmaids-dresses-short-moh-dress/#ixzz3UNMdVery |
Question: What do you think of BBQ wedding reception? Posted: 14 Mar 2015 07:55 AM PDT We're narrowing down our choices for a BBQ wedding reception. This what we have so far: Shredded beef sandwiches or baked chicken breasts Potato salad Green salad Cole slaw Fresh fruit Green beans Corn on the cob Mac & cheese Baked beans Corn bread or rolls Lemonade, tea, or water Peach Cobbler or Apple Pie This would be for approximately 100-125 people. Alcohol is not going to be offered. The venue doesn't allow it. |
Question: How can I stay married when this is how it happened? Posted: 14 Mar 2015 04:12 AM PDT I just can't get past this. My husband and I have been married for six months. Most of the time I'm blissfully happy with him. He's the love of my life. But, the way we got married eats away at me and whenever something reminds me of how hurt and disappointed I feel, we go through a huge upset and argue. We agreed to have a quick, unceremonious wedding because we are from different countries and needed to be married to stay together. We knew we wanted to be married to each other and would eventually have a bigger wedding, so the agreement we made was this: we were married on paper for legal purposes but our 'emotional' wedding, the one that meant something to us, would come later. I bought a cheap, $22 ring for the ceremony. We had agreed that later, my husband would give me a ring from his family (his grandmother's, he thought). I downplayed the whole thing as much as possible. Cheap flowers from the grocery store. Cheap ring. A dress from my closet. I didn't want this legal ceremony to have any special meaning because our real wedding would happen later. Ten minutes before the officiate performed the wedding ceremony, in the parking lot, he got down on one knee and proposed to me for "real" with the cheap ring I had bought for myself. There were two... ... witnesses at our wedding. His mother and his brother. The day after our wedding, his mother organized a gathering. The only reason I agreed to it was that his brother had come from out of town and wanted to play music with friends. The way it was presented to me was that it was a casual music jam in honour of his brother. The next thing I knew, his mother had told everyone we were married and had payed for a wedding cake. Then, three weeks later, she said our marriage wasn't 'valid' and questioned why he wanted to live with me. When people congratulate us, I want to shout, "That wasn't the real wedding!!". It's hurting our marriage a lot. It's like a catch-22. The ceremony was cheap and therefore I feel like my marriage is cheap and meaningless. It feels ruined. How do I get past this? |
Question: If someone had you in their bridal party, do you have to have them in yours? Posted: 14 Mar 2015 03:43 AM PDT Me and my soon to be sister in law do not get along. We tolerate each other but that's pretty much it. Almost a year ago she had me as her bridesmaid and her friend as her MOH. She went mega bridezilla on me too and things haven't been the same since because I told her straight up that she needed to calm down. And she didn't like that and we got in a huge fight. I didn't know her that long then but my fiancé was the best man so I'm not sure if she felt obligated to have me in there because he was? Or because she's really rude and snobby so she literally has no friends. Not trying to sound mean. She invited all of her classmates from school to go to her bachelorette party and only one showed.. I invited my mom and her mother in law to have more people. I just don't really care if she's in it or not i would just really prefer to not look at her. Lol but is that really bad eddiquate ? Because my fiancés brother is going to be the best man.. And his wife now is my future sister in law. PLEASE HELP! |

Question: Made to measure wedding dress, where do your brides buy it? Posted: 14 Mar 2015 02:30 AM PDT I am considering bying a made to measure wedding dress. I am a full-figured bride to be. It is hard to find a bridal gown perfectly in my size. I talked to some local bridal stores. They can supply me custom wedding dress, but its price is a lot more than standard size gowns. I am not going to afford more than 500 dollars. Where can I get a well-made made to measure wedding dress within my budget? As a made to measure version, I can see the finished one until I paid and waited for a long time. Therefore, I would like some trusty stores reputable for it to make things easy. Any suggestions? Thanks. |
Question: Vera wang custom wedding dress cost ??? Posted: 14 Mar 2015 02:12 AM PDT I am getting married in Nov. 2015. I guess it is time to source my wedding dress now. Vera Wang seems so popular among celebrities. I would like one too! However, when I check the prices, they are pushing me away. They are too pricy, which not many people can afford. The dresses are there, but is it worthy to break my bank for a dress to be worn just for one day? I guess all girls in middle class have this dillema. Brides are saying there are alternative ways to get those wedding dresses. They are talking about vera wang custom wedding dress. Custom dresses are less expensive I know, but what is the avarage cost? Is there anyone having experienced a cusom wedding dress? How is the result? Advice, please. |
Question: Wedding help please! I have a bridesmaid who isn t communicating with me.? Posted: 14 Mar 2015 01:59 AM PDT First she wasn t responding to my texts or fb messages so I tried asking her how she was feeling, if anything was up and just to communicate with me more as my wedding is only a few weeks away now. She agreed. That was yesterday and today my mum comes home to tell me that said bm is coming for a fitting tomorrow. I had specifically asked my bridesmaids to talk to me and not my mum about wedding things, and after yesterday s conversation I feel upset that this bm didn t contact me and talked to my mum- exactly the opposite of what I asked her to do. Am I wrong in being upset about this? What should I do now? |
Question: Is it too much to ask for a long term engagement? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 11:56 PM PDT My significant other asked me to marry him, and I said yes. We are both seniors in college, and we plan to get married a year after graduation. However, as much as I love him and am excited to start our life together, I cannot help but feel like I am moving past important life stages. I've spent my whole life living with someone, be it my parents or a roommate. I feel like a need a couple years to live in a place I can call my own, before committing to sharing my life and personal space with someone else for the rest of my life. Would it be completely insane to ask for a 3 year engagement? |
Posted: 13 Mar 2015 11:01 PM PDT Mkay so I might be married this year or next year, due to my fiance possibly being stationed to another state (army) in that time frame. And he wants us to be married before so that I may follow him and become an army wife. Blah blah blah. Anyway, my question is- what should I put in my wedding? I want to have my ideas ready. I don't care. Anyway. I'm Mexican and my fiance is polish and I want to make our wedding special and incorporate both cultures in a classy romantic way. Any ideas??? |
