Question: Pre wedding nightmares? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 08:35 PM PDT So I am getting married in 25 days and I have a past relationship that was abusive and it's been over for six years now and I absolutely have no doubts about marrying this wonderful man I am with now. But I keep having nightmares that he leaves me at the altar... Or we get into huge fights a week before the wedding and it ends up with him leavin me high and dry. He is the opposite of my ex and we have excellent communication and he treats me like an equal. How do I stop these dreams? It's so odd |
Question: Will I ever get married (please read)? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 08:31 PM PDT I know people who have already married or some people who are 23-24 who are getting married. I am a 22 year old female. I want to get married so badly. I know people who have dated for 2 years though and get married. A lot of people are getting married around me and I feel like **** inside. First off, I meet guys that are not husband material. I have met one guy recently though that is nice. I feel very immature too. I am transferring next year to another college but I might still live at home if it is a close college. I need a new job, just lost mine. I still live at home with my parents. I have no money to move out either. Also I feel like it's emotional too. I feel like I am not good enough to get married too. Also I am about 5'4" or 5'5" (practically a midget). I feel like a kid. I want to be a little taller so I can stop feeling like a kid physically and emotionally. I am very pretty as many people even strangers have told me and I have a nice personality. Am I just never meant to get married? |
Question: Husband has a BBW fetish and I'm really thin? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 08:27 PM PDT I know some people will say I shouldn't be insecure, he married me for a reason yadda yadda yadda.. But I can't help it. He's told me all about his past girlfriends, they were all big girls. He watches BBW porn all the time, I know it's just porn but I guess it wouldn't upset me so much if he actually liked looking at women with the same body type as me... I keep finding myself looking at bigger or curvier women and getting jealous. I never thought I'd be insecure about my weight but this is killing me. I feel like I look like a stick.. |
Question: I NEED ADVICE ON A CUSTODY SITUATION THAT HAPPENED WHEN I WAS SIXTEEN? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 08:06 PM PDT |
Posted: 13 Mar 2015 08:03 PM PDT Right from the start his sister did not like me. I get along with my brothers-in-law and they told me she just doesn't like me because she is a bit bigoted (I'm Latina whereas my husband is Caucasian) I tried to get along with her but when I realized my efforts were in vain I just decided to stay away from her. Recently my husband has been distancing himself from me. When I confronted him he blew up saying he knew I was cheating and had evidence. I know my husband is very jealous so I don't even talk to other men unless I have to, so I was shocked as to what this "evidence" could be. He said his sister told him she saw me at the club dancing all over guys. He even showed me a picture his sister sent him. You can't see the face of the lady in the picture but our hair colour and physique are very similar and sure enough this woman is clearly dancing provocatively with another man. I told him it wasn't me but he was still skeptical. Not wanting to jump to conclusions I assumed that maybe his sister was mistaken as well but when I called her and told her that the woman wasn't me she just responded by saying "I know." and hung up. Apparently she has been telling my husband more and more crazy ideas about me cheating on him and I really want to tell him exactly the truth. But how can I do that without flat out calling his sister a liar? I don't want to disrespect his family but I don't want my marriage to be ruined over a lie. How would you put it if you were to talk it out? |
Question: Should there be clear guidelines for how men discipline their wives? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 08:02 PM PDT If you want your camel or donkey to start walking, you can not just slap it in the face, and risk making it ugly. Likewise, should there be clear guidelines for how men discipline their wives, in case of disobedience? Or should men be free to do with their wives as they please? |

Question: Is he having an affair? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 07:36 PM PDT My husband has been getting text messages from a former coworker he claims is "crazy" She sends him things that are very innappeoiate. We had a conversation a few months back & he promised me he would tell her to back off & not to speak to him anymore. Well, as we were leaving for vacation I happened to pick up his phone last weekend & the "crazy" coworker wrote she wished they could cuddle. He swears he's never done anything with this girl & she's just a nut case stalker. He told me he never had an affair. A good friend of his & mine told me he still texts her daily when he's at work but he deletes all messages before he comes home & that they did in fact meet up with her while I was working in a parking lot but insists nothing sexual happened between the two. Should I leave him? He told her he can't speak to her anymore & showed me the text when he sent it to her. Do you think he's having an affair? |

Question: Why do some women wait until the one year mark of a marriage to file for divorce? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 05:36 PM PDT Is it because they have to wait until the one year mark to get alimony? I keep hearing different stories about women who get married, have a baby, and then file for divorce from their husband right after the one year mark of the marriage. Also, do you think some women enter the marriage knowing that they're going to want a divorce that quickly? |

Question: How to stop having physical fights with my husband? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 03:49 PM PDT My husband and I have been married going on two years and have a 8 month daughter. Were both crazy about each other and when we are not fighting things are amazing between us. We are both VERY stubborn and I think that is the main problem. We barely ever fight but when we do, things get out of control. We hit, push, and sometimes even choke each other. Last night we had a very physical fight...we haven't had one is about a year. But it was terrible, not to mention our 8 month was there watching. We woke up this morning in SO much guilt. We made up but I'm still not over the fight at all. I keep getting flashbacks. Especially since our daughter was there to see it, it hurts even more. I don't want her growing up thinking this way towards her parents and most importantly I don't want her think it is ok to treat someone like that. We both have a tendency of pointing fingers at one another and that is what leads to these physical fights. So please...does anyone have any advice on how to stop this!? Getting a divorce is not a option. But we need serious help! |
Question: Can my husband bring his girlfriend back from the Philippines? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 03:25 PM PDT I have been married 20 years, two wonderful children, beautiful house, great life. My husband recently announced he wanted a divorce. A month later, he told me he was going to the Philippines. Long story short, he left to see a woman/girl he met online. He told me he wants to marry her and start a family with her. He left a week ago. Today, a prepaid Paypal MasterCard in his name arrived in the mail. Not sure what it means, but somehow, I think it's related. Can he lie about being married and bring this girl back? He's there right now. I'm devastated, but right now I'm in warrior mode, trying to save myself and my children. And FYI, not to talk myself up, but in no way do I deserve this: I'm a great wife, fit, very pretty, fantastic cook, kind, loving, etc. Anyway, I'm worried, because he's smart, and I think he's been planning this for sometime. I do have a lawyer, but looking for advice from anyone out there who might have experience with this particular nightmare. Thanks in advance for your help! |

Question: I need advice please? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 02:20 PM PDT My husband owes over 6 grand in Child Support. The court told him he has to pay at least half or he will go to jail for 6ms and gets a felony or has to go to the Army for 6ms (I didn't understand the Army thing). He told me he would start paying the Child Support last year, but he ever did. It makes me upset because I was pregnant last year and he told me he would get it taken care of so all of this wouldn't happened. Honestly, I would have never decided to have a baby if I knew all this was going to happen. He says he is going to get a Loan for school this summer and a Pell Grant so it will help pay half on it. But if he gets a Loan, how is he going to pay it back on top of paying off the Child Support? Once he gets half paid off, how will he pay off the other half? I don't get it. He always says he doesn't want to leave me and he loves me so much, but right now it doesn't feel like that. Why would he risk not paying if he knew he could go to jail? He never wants to talk about it and when we do, we just argue. He says I shouldn't be worried and he has it taken care of. He is my husband though, why would I not be worried. We are married. It affects both of us, right? He is all I have besides my daughter now and it hurts me so much! It's like he doesn't understand how much it bothers me though. I feel like he is screwing us financially and kinda our relationship. I don't see how he doesn't understand that. Is it okay for me to be this upset about it? I mean, what should I do? |

Question: Stepson is 23 y/o, still in the house, don't work or study. Driving me to divorce? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 01:17 PM PDT I been married to my 2nd wife for 4 years. At the beginning I tried very hard to deal with a 19 y/o with no school or job. My wife always looks for excuses to protect him. The issue is that I'm getting sick and tired of coming from work and instead of having a relaxing atmosphere at home, I have to listen to his freaking music and motorcycle. I cant even use my garage because his moto is more important that my car. I want out of this. |

Question: Married women who dislike sex but marry? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 01:05 PM PDT Many of the posts on M&D that have something to do actually with marriage, are about women stopping sex at some point in a marriage and preferring to live as roommates, and the man should be fine with that because marriage is about more than sex as the women's validation for him to not to give up and leave. The truth is a man and a woman when marrying should be aware and fully expect that sex is a part of every marriage, and it is abnormal to think other wise. If either doesn't like sex or enjoy it, they should under no conditions marry anyone. A man who loves a woman cherishes the intimacy shared during sex, it's a closeness he shares with no other, nor does he desire too. Removing that is replacing the love he has for u with rejection. So u sleep in another room and reject him, but expect the emotional and financial rewards of a happy marriage, how do u do that if ur a guy has a broken heart u from this day on? Stay and pretend, act as what happy when u feel broken and unwanted by the one u love? Guys have emotions just like women, we feel rejection and hurt, that's why we married u, we thought u were different, special, and better than the rest. So if u want a roommate stay off the dating sites, just check out the classifieds under, "roommates" Many here are missing the issue, which is if u are a male or female and u seriously hate sex or want a marriage of celibacy, that's fine just be upfront with that before marriage not after, that's cruel. |
Question: Blended family problems, not sure what to do? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 01:05 PM PDT My husband and I both had a daughter when we met and now we have two children together. His daughter lives with her grandparents, my in-laws (it's a long story) and my daughter lives with us. We've noticed there are a lot of issues when it comes to my in-laws. They treat my daughter like she's a burden or unwanted and they freely tell her she's not a member of their family and now they are encouraging my stepdaughter to treat her the same way, which she does. We tried to fight for her to live with us (again) but we lost because she wants to stay with them and they want her to stay with them. Our children together are spoiled rotten by my husbands family, too, and they want for nothing. It breaks my daughters heart when they get phone calls and she's ignored. They also send the younger kids a lot of gifts and leave her out completely. And when we used to go to their house, they would encourage the other kids to ignore her and they would leave her out of games. So my husband had a talk with them and we stopped going over and told them not to come to our house, which they constantly ignore. He sees them a few times a week when he visits his daughter or collects her for their time together. We're currently looking to find another lawyer who will help us win custody. But we would love some advice for now, to stop the hurt my 8 year old feels. My husband treats her like his own so she doesn't understand why his family hate her so much. Her father and fathers family are not interested in a relationship with her. And I don't have any family. |

Question: Why is my wife so ugly? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 12:20 PM PDT My wife used to not be so hideous but no I can barely stand to look at her! She's so ugly and I don't want our children to be ugly. Question: Why doesn't my fiance want get to married out of love? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 12:14 PM PDT My fiance and I have been together for 4 years. We recently got engaged. I would like to get married within the next couple years, however, he doesn't want to set a wedding date for 5+ years. He says it's because he wants us to buy a home, me to establish a professional career (He already has his established), and finish up any other goals that may come in play. I can appreciate him wanting goals, but why can't we be married and achieve those goals as husband and wife? I feel as though he is basing something as important as a marriage on unpredictable goals? We have been living together for the last three years. We already live a married life, so I don't see the big deal on completing the goals prior to marriage. I feel if you love someone and know they are the one, why wait? Goals change all the time, however, marriage should be something solid. I love him so much, I would elope with him today if I could. I'm kind of thinking these are more of excuses than actual reasons? Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free.. Perhaps he has everything he wants already(regular sex, companion, best-friend, etc.) so there is no incentive to marry me? I don't think it's for financial reasons that he is putting it off.. He has been making $60,000/year the last four years and has a nice amount in the bank..We live in a low cost of living area. Also, my parents are paying for our wedding. Why does he want to base our marriage on something unpredictable instead of love? |
Question: Why didn't he do anything? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 12:06 PM PDT I was at a festival at the local park when a woman bent down to sort out some stuff in her bag. Her crack was hanging out of her jeans and instead of telling her, her husband just stared at it and then invited his friends over to have a peek. Why couldn't he have just told her instead of embarrassing her in front of loads of people? |
Question: My wife gets upset/cries over everything and it puts a lot of stress on our marriage.? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 12:04 PM PDT Last night for instance, she came home and became very upset that she called me coming home from work but my ringer was off so I didn't pick up. She cried for about an hour that she could have been hurt and I wouldn't have known. To me, I would start to worry after too long but she leaves work at random times each night so I don't worry until it's after 7:30pm. I think she is blowing this way out of proportion and it's stressful to be married to someone who has full breakdowns over every little perceived injustice she's faced with. I feel like she is constantly making herself a victim and goes into crying fits for hours over the smallest things. Does anyone have any insight on this? |
Question: I am married. Why do I dream of confusion about my marital status? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 11:59 AM PDT It is a non-typical question. I am not sure if I could put it in the right words. I am into my 2nd marriage. I think my husband is good and my husband loves me. If I have to pick on it, sometimes I feel trapped living in a cold foreign country where my husband's home is. In my dream, I was aware that I am married because of the ring in my finger. But I could not remember when I got married and who I married to. Some ex-boyfriends flashed across my mind but I was deeply confused about my marital status. I even 'thought of' posting on facebook to find out who my husband is. When I woke up I realised my husband was sleeping right next to me. What does it reflect about my subconscious feeling? Is that a threat to my current marriage? |
Question: Can x spouse who is married again collect first spouse's benifits? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 11:41 AM PDT can some one who is divorced and remarried collect first spouse social security when both have remarried who collects benefits first wife or second wife? |
Question: Do most women fantasize of having an open marriage? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 11:31 AM PDT How about threesomes ?? |
Question: We are having a 3 some? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 11:23 AM PDT I am so confused. We (my husband and I ) have been messing around with another guy. Not the 2 of them together, just me as the main focus. He is a friend. And he is married. He has been known to cheat a lot so we knew he was a for sure candidate when we thought about who to bring into the relationship for fun and spice. So the problem is...he only wants to come over when he is very drunk. And that takes a lot of fun out of things. He really won't talk about things with us either. I can't figure out if he is ashamed or guilty..I do know he always tries to get me away by myself... (to finish) anyway...he tends to back out of planned nights a good bit and its really not as fun anymore. I do know that there is a marraige involved on his part. I mean my husband and I are in on this together. He on the other hand, does have something to lose. I am thinking about calling it quits for everyone involved. |
Question: Why do women love to snoop around for clues that they're man is cheating? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 10:44 AM PDT Almost every women will go through her mans phone and read his messages or emails even if she has no reason to be suspicious. Why do they do this? |
Question: Why do people feel that married couples HAVE to have children? Posted: 13 Mar 2015 10:24 AM PDT Like I've known couples who've been together for years and never gotten pregnant. So, why do people make comments like "it's a matter of time", or "soon you two will be parents". I got married pretty young and we knew that we didn't want kids. We wanted to dedicate our lives to each other and to our careers, that was a mutual thing that we established early on. Almost everyone that we know is amazed that we don't have children yet still after so many years. They ask if we're infertile or what we're waiting for. They say that we'll make great parents and that we're being selfish. Why? And why do people feel you can't have a successful marraige without the procreating aspect? |
