Posted: 28 Mar 2015 05:00 PM PDT I'm doing a show and backstage we all sit and chat, I'm quite chatty but I tend to feel a bit awkward as there are some girls there who are sooo confident and will talk to anybody and turn anything into a joke so I feel rather boring and shy. How can I be more outgoing? PS. I'm not comparing myself to anyone, I just think that as a 16 year old girl, I need to be able to hold a conversation and make people want to talk with me :) |

After a while she started getting more and more passively aggressive. I told her to leave me alone and she said we'd still see each other in school and how dumb that'd be to cut off all contact. She messaged me five times that day like "Why are you not responding to my texts?!" I didn't even have my phone with me that day. I messaged her to get mental help and she said I was "obsessed" with her. At first she gets angry that I tend to ignore her, then I'm obsessed? lol. Please help. Now my friend won't talk to me, he won't answer his cell phone and has blocked me on Facebook and Twitter. I don't see what I did wrong, what I did was survival of the fittest, you want something in life go for it! "My friend likes her too" is just an excuse to keep putting it off, you must think of yourself first if you want to get anywhere in life, I told my friend this and he punched me. In the beginning of this year, we were best friends and would do everything together: we shared secrets, talked about boys, everything! We were besties in 4th grade too but we reconnected this year. But she changed. She always talks about how "miserable" her life is, and she cuts, and talks about suicide. She even jokes about it with her friends, which sickens me! And I know none of her stories are true. She has a normal decent life, and is blessed with an iPhone and video game consoles. Yet she complains how overbearing her parents are and even said her mom abuses her. At first I fell for it, and I tried so hard to help her! It stressed me out so bad. But then I realized she was just manipulative, so I broke our friendship. Afterwards she spread AWFUL rumors about me, called me names, made up stories, made me seem like I was the bad guy for abandoning her. When a boy that she had a crush on gave me a rose on V-Day, she tried to fight me. I have lost friends because of her, and so many people believe her over me. I have nightmares. I've wished I could end it all. I cry a lot. I try to talk to administrators, but they don't help, even went with her and scolded me! I feel helpless. Recently, our close friend that had broken from me offered to be friends again. All 3 of us used to be a trio. Since then, we've gotten closer, and the bully has been friendly. She's with our friend all the time. Now, I guess you could say we're back together again. But I still don't trust them. I still feel awful. I'm scared. I plan on just holding out until the year is over, and avoid them in high school. I keep my mouth shut and laugh at their jokes, and hang out with them. I don't want to, but it feels better than being bullied everyday. I know nobody can help me, but it'd be nice to just have support. But I think she regretted it because she tried reaching out by posting notes through my door... and even posted a valentines card through my door a year later on valentines (2014). Since then nothing has happened, so its now another year later, so 2 years since our "thing". But I guess I still have a thing for this girl. I never really stopped thinking about her. So I text her about a month ago. At first she was confused as to why I got in contact with her and she said, "...I was so horrible to you". The ex-boyfriend and I were together for nearly six months. I was fourteen (young and foolish, I know). Although I was over him within a month emotionally, I was still mentally attached. I thought about him a lot. He changed. He went from cool, spontaneous, humorous goofball to egotistical, manipulative d***. Not long after we broke up, he spread nasty rumors about me and our relationship. It sucked and I felt (and still feel) betrayed. Now, three years later, he still gives me these knowing, mocking smiles. I am afraid of him, and I hate it. Even after all this time, I still cannot get him out of my head. The other friendship I have problems with is one that I ended in June 2014. She and I were best friends for a year-and-a-half. At the time I was...lost. I was clinically depressed for two years; in the time I befriended her, she deeply affected me. Basically anything she glamorized and made seem "cool", I went with—eating disorders, cutting, etc. (Never drugs.) Instead of helping me through my depression, she brought me down further. I was jealous of how skinny and pretty she was. I regret our friendship tremendously because it made me bitter, negative, and self-centered for a long time afterwards—all traits I picked up from hanging out with her. I am insecure because of her. She is in her 20's, single and has no kids. I, on the other hand, am in my mid-30's, married and have two babies to take care of while my husband is away on business. She knows my situation and I have made it clear that I would write as soon as possible. Last November, I sent her cute stationary for her birthday. She did the same on my birthday in February. She wrote me an email the day after I received her package. I wrote back and thanked her for her kindness. It hasn't been a month since I received her gift and she wrote me an email telling me I haven't written back and that she assumed I was not interested in being pen pals and that it was nice knowing me. It hasn't been a month and I would've understood if she hadn't heard from me for several months, but it wasn't the case and I would never take that long to reply to a letter, especially if I made the commitment to be pen pals. Not sure what up think. I told her that being a mother is a full-time job and i don't have time sometimes. I also told her that when she becomes a mother, she will understand and that I hoped her husband would be home every night to help her with her children. Even when I'm with other people, I'll constantly have unlikely scenarios playing in my head. Its not uncommon for someone to want to go Hogwarts, but why do I feel so miserable when I remember that I'm not actually part of the marauders? I can't help but believe that there has to be more to life than this, magical or not, I can't just spend my life doing exams so I can go to university and get a career and have kids etc... I know everybody gets drunk there but I assumed we were going to stay sober because we don't drink. Yesterday, my closest and best friend (she's my bff) out of the two of them told me they were going to be drinking there. I thought she was joking but she wasn't. I told them I'm not going because they never told me that was going to happen but then my bff told me that they didn't tell me earlier because they knew I would react like this and I would judge them. (We are juniors in high school) And he said its high school everyone does it. By this point, I was in complete shock because that's the kind of thing you hear in movies. My other friend said if I don't feel comfortable then she won't drink but then my bff thought that was rude because she was leaving her out of the plan, basically telling her that she can't let her drink by herself. The whole thing is screwed up but my friend is still telling me that she wants me there and she won't drink (but my bff is still saying the same thing. We are always constantly texting. It was fun at first but as the months go by we have been fighting more and more. Over stupid stuff as well. But when we fight we act like eachothers worst enemy. Throwing all the insukts at eachother we can think of. Its horrible. We always get over them, kiss and makeup. We have even tried certain tactics like trying to control anger or refraining from making insults. But nothing works and Im so over it and i told her ive had enough. Its so emotionally draining that i forget why we are even best friends. Cant remember the good parts coz the fights overpower them. But. We are all eachother has. I have other friends at school but none that i sit with or are awesome friends with. We always sit next to eachother in class. Shes always my go to girl when i want to go to the movies or a theme park. But. I dont know if its worth it anymore and i dunno what im going to do if we completely disconnect. The worst thing is that im in my senior year of high school and i dont want all this social drama disrupting my schoolwork or making my last year at school miserable. Well he knocked on my door and asked to hang out with me. My parents don't know how he looks like so he said another name to my mom then when my dad talked to him he accidentally said his real name then he changed and said his fake name. I was confused at the time and didn't know what to do and went along with it for some reason. I tried saying I'm busy but then my mom said why don't u guys hang out at 5:30 that's in 2 hours from now. | Posted: 28 Mar 2015 01:46 PM PDT So I one of my friends who I. Stopped being friends with cuz he does drugs and **** and got me in trouble for doing drugs and my parents hate him a lot. Well he knocked on my door and asked to hang out with me. My parents don't know how he looks like so he said another name to my mom then when my dad talked to him he accidentally said his real name then he changed and said his fake name. I was confused at the time and didn't know what to do and went along with it for some reason. I tried saying I'm busy but then my mom said why don't u guys hang out at 5:30 that's in 2 hours from now. My parents are thinking it's that kid and I was saying no it's not that kid an made a lie after lie. But I don't wanna hang out with him I don't wanna do drugs again that ruined my parents trust. What should I do should I go along with it and then tell him I don't want to hang out with him when we're out of the house or should I tell my parents now!!!!! If I do tell my parents how should I tell them cuz I did just lie to there faces to prove his fake name he made up. Help!!!!!!!! |

I'm 15 and I just broke up with my boyfriend, who's super popular, so I feel like he went off to make everyone hate me. I only have two friends who I can trust. I feel like everyone judges me for not being nice enough, or not having a nice enough body, or not enough friends. Everyone seems to be in love with these certain girls, who are extremely fake and simply thirsty for boys to love them. And then there's me, who just gets pushed around and ignored. All i want are more friends but every time I try to become friends with anyone, they already seem to dislike me for no reason, or I can't keep up a conversation because I'm so awkward. My awkward-ness is so bad that I can't hangout alone with anyone without being scared out of mind of keeping up conversation. How do I get people to like me and want to be friends with me? Guys and girls? |

| Posted: 28 Mar 2015 01:26 PM PDT I don't get it, my best friend and I have been friends for a year and we were super close, inseparable, this year were still close, but she has changed drastically. She cares way more about boys, and to smoke and drink, I don't care because it's her life, but I don't do that. She found this new friend who is really big on drinking and smoking and she's changed because of her. We keep in touch kinda, but its awkward now. Like its almost as if she is forced to talk to me. Like she never ever texts me anymore, it always is me texting her but sometimes I don't want to text her waiting to see if she texts me and she doesn't. She says she will and doesn't. We say hi I'm school but like it doesn't seem meaningful. Like last year we would joke. Laugh, smile,hang out all the time. I get friends change and friendships and she says she loves me and cares about me but I don't know anymore. I've been trying to distance myself even though its very hard because I really care about her, but when I'm having fun laughing and joking with other people I always see her staring at me, or shell talk to someone and look at me too. Well say hi and text sometimes but it feels so different and I'm so hurt. We used to be super duper close like we kissed as a dare just a peck, were "wives" always hugging, kisses on the cheek, I still get them but when were hanging out alone. Around other people its so different and never used to be. What changed?? Why does she stare at me too???? |

This changed and idk if it's borderline weird? So when she comes back drunk she's all over me, lying on my back, hands/arms rested on my waist. Telling me she loves me, missed me etc We told each other that we're kinda possessive of one another Couple of weeks ago we were chilling in bed and she started lightly touching my lips with her finger for a while Also this is kinda weird but if we're play fighting or if I jokingly make fun of her she'll choke me lol sometimes quickly or sometimes for a while - she's never hurt me tho haha nothing like that So I just wanna know, does it seem she likes me? | Posted: 28 Mar 2015 12:29 PM PDT At the end of the summer I stopped being friends with my best friend (a guy, I'm a girl) cause he lied to me about something very important. He started hating me and telling his friends lies about me like I love him. At first I was really confused because he hurt me so much and I didn't think I did anything wrong to him. He left my school but his friends starting harnessing me about him and started saying disgusting dirty things. I didn't talk to him for months till I ran into him. He flicked me off a few times and did a Nasty smirk. Then he kept steering at me for like 20 minutes. Which got me mad and I started yelling at him. Then somehow I saw him 4 more times in 2 months which doesn't seem like a coincidence. Then a few months later his friends made a joke about him raping me which took things too far so I wrote him. I told him that it was not acceptable and he needs to tell them to stop. We ended up talking more and talked like friends for a little. I asked him what he had against me and why he hates me. He said he had nothing against me and doesn't hate me which is weird cause his friends told me that he said so. I asked my brother for advice becuase I was really confused and he told me he thinks that he likes me. I asked why and he said first off when me and him were friends he said stuff that we a little too "friendly" to me and he is doing all this stuff. Idk if he is right but I want to know your opinion about this cause I just don't understand him at all. |

He was going through a hard breakup and thats when we began to hang out everyday. He would constantly call/text/message me but at first I would find it annoying. With time i began to have a deeper connection with him and i fell for alex. Thing is he always acts gay with friends awlays. He has hooked up with girls but always has something bad to say about them. With me he seems to get jealous when i hang with other males and females. Hes tried to literally talk me out in any way possible to hook up with girls. Once he even showed up to her house to make suer we weren't going anything. Once we stopped talking and he would talk about me with this girl-friend and how he missed me and if i still cared. Also hes always touchy feeling with all guys exept me. He rarely acts gay towards me. When we began to be so close he would randomly say "I can't believe were so close, i never thought we would". All in all he just loves to be with me he would even ditch school when i wouldnt go. We kinda stopped talking not too long ago brcause we had an argument and after we deleted eachother from social media and stopped talking he got a gf. Why now |

I excelled in my studies. I studied abroad on my own. I have no college debts. In fact, I managed to save a lot of money. However, I failed to make any friends in 4 years of college. Posted: 28 Mar 2015 12:09 PM PDT Hello Yahoo community, I have this male friend or nearly 3 years now, and it has been on and off bickering and fights back and fourth because neither of us get what we want. He says he just wants to be my friend and hang out, but we both know he's in love with me. He said so himself. And because of this unrequited attraction it makes me feel uncomfortable sometimes. Other times I don't pay mind to it. He's been really supportive of me but I feel like it's a one way relationship where I don't know much about him yet he knows my whole life. I thought about falling for him too and living a nice life but it hasn't happened and I'm not going to force myself because he deserves someone who actually does. I tried to stop talking to him but I ended up going back because I didn't really have anyone else to talk to. And I knew I was hurting him. Now though it's like we aren't friends but close acquaintances because we don't talk often as we used to. I tried to get to know him more and understand his pains but he makes me so angry and upset with all his baggage I rather not deal with it. On top of that I felt responsible for his happiness and every-time I talk to him I feel drained and I end up having a fight with him. I want him to live a happy and prosperous life and find someone. Yet he seems either fixed on me or not finding anyone at all and that makes me sad and guilty. I tried to make him understand how I feel but he doesn't 'get it'. And instead he complains how everyone is the same and no one loves him etc. 9 times out of 10 I feel like slapping him, but part of me know's he's depressed with his life, but I'm always happy and it never works out. :/ Is it a good idea to just let things drift away? He's already upset that I said I was too busy to hang out which is true but part of me also doesn't want to see him at the same time. I'm always cheery when I don't talk to him or awhile, and I forget about our problems and then when I do talk to him they come back. |
