Question: Getting Married In A Church? Posted: 03 Dec 2019 07:07 PM PST Hi, my Fiance and I are getting married on 6/12/21 in a Catholic Church. We want a late afternoon ceremony because my parents want it to flow over into the reception and my fiance and are dead set on having cocktail hour 6-7 then reception 7-12. All the churches seem to have a Saturday mass at 4 or 4:30. Does this mean we would have to get married before these masses or since this is a year and a half notice, would the church be willing to move the normal late afternoon mass up earlier? Sorry if this is a dumb question but i've never been in this situation before...Do churches change mass times up regularly? Like could they have a totally different mass times a year and a half from now? |
Posted: 25 Oct 2019 07:31 AM PDT I want to have them all except my mom sister has three kids that I just don't know that well as the sister is not close to anybody in the family. Is it wrong to leave out three and invite the other 19, 15 of which are from the side of the family of the three cousins I don't know that well. |
Question: Perfect engagement party outfit? Posted: 22 Oct 2019 09:28 PM PDT My fiancé's parents are throwing us an engagement party with all of our friends. We don't get to see them often because we moved to Florida and everyone lives in Illinois. There are going to be about 30-40 people there. My fiancé's mom and I decided on the theme. I picked black and gold "classy" theme with optional cocktail attire. I want to wear a dress but I'm not sure exactly what to wear. I'm very picky and want to make sure I look good for the party. Any ideas?? |
Question: Are we legally engaged? Posted: 22 Oct 2019 06:11 PM PDT I walked down the street with my girlfriend and asked her "Will you marry me?" She said "yes". We went to her apartment and she picked out a ring online. I bought her the ring and it arrived in my possession. Is this a legal engagement? |
