Question: Can my parents take my lawsuit money?!? Posted: 15 Dec 2019 03:09 PM PST I was 17 years old, a minor, when I had got hit by a speeding car while walking in a cross walk in June. So, my parents started a lawsuit for me and hired a lawyer to sue the driver. I just turned 18 last month. The case was finally settled for 50k given to us and at our next meeting with our lawyer he's going to release the funds and finalize the case. Are they able to take all of it? It's so selfish of them to do so. I'm the one that got hit by a car and could've died. I have the incident etched in my memory forever, left behind with tons of ugly scars, not them! My mom kept saying that I owe her $2500 for my college money she spent this semester on me, that I CAN UNDERSTAND. But I don't want her to have the entire amount, which they will take. I hate living with my parents, (they're strict and abusive, which is entire different story to tell) and I wanted to use the money to get my own place and save the rest for college tuition, what can I do about them not getting a hold of the money? Are they entitled to it? |
Question: What are the minimum requirements to become a Nanny? Posted: 15 Dec 2019 12:49 PM PST Because I never grew up with children and have no desire of having them but I find that children try to get my attention in public (mentally too childish for my age), I'm not sure how it would actually work, though. But as I'm still studying for a college degree and need to get job experience soon, so it's a consideration. Does this type of require a lot of experiences? I mean. when I look at at available jobs, it come off as you really need to love children so much that you want to have kids on your own... |
Posted: 15 Dec 2019 10:48 AM PST Like this now? I managed to earn the thousands dollars she needed for the surgery of her scar. The surgeon already told her it's not going to be like it was before but it can be of course improved. My girlfriend cried and said she cant accept cause she feels at fault for me coming home exhausted the last months I did my own job, a part time one and also did some interpreting in order to earn more. I did it all for her because when she cries and thinksshe's ugly and has ptsd attacks, in which she relives the attack endured from a racist bully who cut her with the knife leaving a scar on her cheek that she always covers with hair and makes her cry and insecure (this has been going on for more than 10 years before I met her). She always said she hates herself and hates the person who did that and feels weak and vulnerable while others girls have all pretty faces and no scars, and they are never afraid and damaged like she is. I just couldn't bear it anymore so I earned all the money through weekend hours without rest for months. And now she tells me she doesn't deserve it, that she's a mess and that she hates herself for bringing depression and sadness in my life. I said of course not I love you I did this for you but she kept on crying. I told her 'I dont want you to think anymore about him when you look in the mirror' and she broke down crying again. I think she's still traumatized but I wamt to erase his memory out of her head if I jidt could |
Question: Should I leave my mom alone? ? Posted: 15 Dec 2019 09:39 AM PST I'm middle aged now. I grew up with a mother that was often times verbally, emotionally and sometimes physically abusive. That behavior didn't stop when I grew up. She became verbally abusive. The behavior got better, but sometimes she is very mean spirited. 4 years ago she got mad at me because I told that I would no longer allow her to treat me like that anymore. She sent me a text saying that if I ever contact her again that she'll file a restraining order on me. It was crazy, because I've never lifted a finger toward her, but I did as she wished. About a month ago, out of nowhere, after 4 years she started texting me. I'd cautiously, but pleasantly text back. It was a nice exchange then one day she just stops texting. I've tried communicating, but nothing in return. I know she's ok, because I've seen her out driving. She's getting my texts because it says read. Should I just move on? I purchased her a nice Christmas present. Should I send it or just give it to someone else. I don't really need the emotional roller coaster that a relationship with her comes with. I'm perplexed as to what the right thing to do is and why she's doing this? Thank you. |

Posted: 14 Dec 2019 06:27 PM PST I feel like having a passion and goals give someone a purpose and something to live for. But what do you all think |
Posted: 13 Dec 2019 01:08 PM PST WHe is ashamed of his brother and they argued because he told him 'I'm not going to accept your dirty money in our house', they fought and he went away from home. He doesn't even talk to his own family because they all support his brother (he is 22, the brother is about 27). One day he broke down after I told him I loved him and said 'you can't be with someone like me... your parents will never approve of us'. I said 'they know you're not like your brother' but he kept saying he has a bad reputatiom because of his brother and my parents wont let me be with him. Actually he's right, my dad doesn't like at all the idea of marrying me to a house where one of their sons sells women. His brother even got arrested but then released when the girl told them he was her boyfriend. They have even a child together, a child that my guy refuses to hold and cuddle, and for his birth he didn't even send a message to his brother. |
