Posted: 19 Dec 2019 06:54 AM PST When she has them and I am sleeping with her (rarely, because she always sleeps at her parents place) I just try to wake her up and tell her it's just a nightmare and I hug her as tight as I can. Sometimes she has the paralize syndrome (which means she's dreaming of being paralizes but she's conscient, she tries to scream but she feels trapped in her body) and it's really really scary. I just don't know how to help her. Since she was traumatized in her childhood (a parent was almost killed and nobody stopped to help, they just kept on pretending nothing happened) she has had many dreams about death and fearing of losing her parent. She wakes up crying and even tough I tell her nothing of that is real she just keeps crying out of shock because she thinks it's true. I love her so much and I cant stand this. The nightmares are sometimes even about me. In one of them I was in hospital tied to a machine full of tubes to my guts and my sister was telling her 'it's over, hes half of a person,he will never get back'. She cried and woke me up asking if I was alright. The next day I had to work 10 hours. I dont sound to be mean or a bad boyfriend I just want to end all this as soon as possible. This stress is causing both of us to feel drained. I just want her to stop having them. |
