So, in a few days after Christmas, I'm going to be hosting a 17th birthday party for myself. I'll be having 3 friends over. 1 for the whole party, 2nd for a few hours since she also has a sleepover to go to that day, and another one who'll be coming late. The second and third friend had a fallout a year ago and are basically like beta fishes around each other now. I don't want to go on with too much details. But since the fallout, I haven't talked to friend 3 for a while until in the recent months time to time. She seems to genuinely want to be friends with me again and friend 2 (both talked for a while last month but 2 stopped talking to her again).  Anyways, on my actual birthday, she greeted me a happy birthday and I told my mom this (she knows we've started talking again in the recent months) and she said I should invite her to my party. I mean, to me, it doesn't sound like a bad idea. I wasn't part of the fallout. So I invited her.  It's just, I don't want to have any drama nor get involved in it and lose any friends. My mom told me not to tell Friend 1 that Friend 2 is coming because she might not come (she last minute declined another friend's hangout before).  But I feel like that'd be kind of rude of me not to at least let her know. But I don't know. Should I tell her that friend 2 will be coming or just not tell her at all? It's really a tricky situation >.< Both will be in the same room for a few hours if that does anything

My friend and I are seniors in high school. He has been in love with me for 2 years. After he confessed me his feelings 2 years ago I told him that I cared about him just as friends. Despite this we kept hanging out as friends even on weekends. His dad passed away 2 months ago. His father was a navy veteran of Vietnam. So few days ago he told me that he wants to join the Marines once he gets high school diploma. He also told me that he appreciated that I was close to him but since I don't feel the same way about him he thinks we shall not hang out together anymore and it makes me sad,because while I don't love him I just don't want him out of my life completely. What do you think?

I'm a freshman in college. One of my best friends is constantly talking about her weight. She thinks she's too fat. I am very triggered by the way she talks about herself, as I see myself as heavier than her and I feel  really degraded. I've always seen myself as a heavy person and I've disliked my body because of it, but I've always tried to keep my thoughts to myself because I know that complaining about your body to others can really affect people. My friend doesn't understand this. I tell her often how pretty she is to try to get her to stop triggering me, but she continues to say triggering things often. The other day two of my friends were talking about how they forget to eat and so they'll go days without eating and she said "me too, except I do it on purpose" or we'll be in the car and she'll say "my dad told me to lose weight in 4th grade and that's why I have body issues now". They aren't necessarily insensitive statements, but the fact that she says them aloud is insensitive. I feel like she should find a friend to confine in — one she knows doesn't have a history of eating disorders. I've told her that I used to barely eat — she knew that I had one. I guess she just forgot because she was too focused on herself. Or she should talk to a therapist. Her comments have made me start restricting my calorie intake again and it's very overwhelming. I find myself wanting to eat less than her, all because of the words that come out of her mouth. How do I deal with this?

My best friend cant give me compliments without it sounding like she's trying to swallow vinegar and she tells me that she's not good at giving compliments which I totally understand. However, she also claims that she doesn't give them bc she doesn't want to "hype me up" but shouldn't a best friend want to hype you up? Also on one of her friends Instagram posts she comments stuff all the time hyping her up so I'm kind of at a loss as to why she's okay giving comments to one friend and not the other. Is it bad that I'm kind of jealous? I'm not looking for compliments or to be hyped up from her and I'm prob jealous but it doesn't make sense to me as to why she would give one friend compliments and not the other.  She also gives our other friends compliments all the time and when she does she has no problem giving them. 

So I sit with a bunch of people at lunch who do not care about me and ignore me half of the time. And I kind of isolate myself from them now, so I don't have anyone to really talk to at school. I thought I made friends with this girl because we were talking and laughing and walked home together but the next day something that I really dreaded happened. She didn't walk with me anymore and she walked again with her friends and it sucked because I just was standing there alone. Then, I thought I was  "friends" with another girl who did the exact same thing and left me a day later. IT SUCKS SO BAD BECAUSE EVERYONE KEEPS LEAVING ME!!! Why does no one want to stay. Am I really ugly or do I stink really badly?!? I am really getting insecure because of this because I always assume that its because I am ugly. I mean no one really wants to be around someone who is ugly :( especially at my school 

My friend is calling me a Doormat and a People pleaser. She's not trying to be mean but making pay attention as she says.My friend who lives in another state is mad bc my sister begged me to live w her and her mom acted like she needed help after surgery in order for me to move in with them after i lost my job. But i have an apt 40 miles from where we are. But i assumed i was helping but hmmm. N now my sister has me watching and taking care of a dog she got for my nephew. And he no longer wants to do anything with the dog. My friend said shes not a good sister bc she offered and told me to come there. N I had other obligations. And your single no kids and only need to take care of myself and pay sister back for whatever she does for me my friend says. The only thing my sister did is provide food. N i paid her back and i contributed to the electric bill and rent. And im taking over my sisters rent for 6months when she moves out of her apartment into her own home. So it wont ruined her credit.Thats not all my sister have been places with other relatives and she never invited me to go with her. Including her birthday she didnt invite me to her party. My sister and her mom and her boys lives here at the apt too. I have money im not broke!!!

If I don't trust my friend does that make me a fake friend 

This friend and I we have a weird connection, we always think the same thing at the same time. Many times I contacted them while they were thinking about me. At those times I felt overwhelming energy from them like they are in my head and wont go away, after talking to them it went away. They can read my eyes and my face without me saying a word. I have not talk to them for half a year and sometimes a month pass by without feeling their energy and sometimes a week will be overwhelming with their energy. Especially at night I can feel them in my head and cant get them away. I cant talk to them yet. What does this mean? does that mean that they are thinking about me?
