Question: Uninvited to Best Friends Wedding? Posted: 04 Jun 2019 06:17 PM PDT I had known my best friend for over 10 years. About 4 years ago who partner proposed (second marriage same as me). Straight off when she told me she asked me to be bridesmaid. It got put on the back burner as they decided to build a new house, go overseas etc. Over the years though we spoke heaps about the wedding and we remained close. Fast forward 4 years and she rings me on a Friday to tell she is getting married tomorrow and 'please be happy for me'. She said that the were not telling anyone which originally included me and were announcing it on Facebook. But she thought she better tell me. Fast forward nearly a year and she has shut me out of her life as she didn't like me response. Totally shattered???? There is a lot more to this story. Edit this there was no finance issues as they are totally loaded and my response was not nasty or bad. |
Question: Engagement Ring Question? Posted: 04 Jun 2019 10:18 AM PDT Hello, So I was in a relationship with my ex, and we went to buy an engagement ring with my mom because mostly me and my mom wanted too he didn't really want too. My mom purchased it and when we got home he got on one knee and proposed and I accepted because I loved him. I don't think he was serious about it though because he didn't even want to be there. He used to talk about me behind my back and stuff. I'm pretty sure he didn't even tell his mom because she didn't want to meet with me after it happened. Anyway, a short time later we ended up breaking up and it was like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. He initiated the break up. My mom opted to keep the ring and use it in the future because she bought it. Fast forward to now. This was years ago. My current boyfriend really likes the ring and he knows of its history and is going to be buying it off my mom. Although my mom isn't obv charging him full price for it. But she owns it so it's her choice. I do love the ring and we all love it and I just heard stuff about bad energy and wanted to confirm that there is no bad energy associated with an engagement ring. That I believe should dissipate upon change of ownership. I was trying to find prayers or anyway to cleanse it according to Judaism but found nothing so here I am. Thank you. |
