Question: What is around the height I will be when I am an adult? Posted: 15 Jun 2019 12:35 PM PDT I'm 5'7 now and I'm 15. My dad is 6'0 and my mom is 5'5 my half brother was shorter than me at my age and he is 6'1 and his mom was shorter than mine (we have the same father) |
Question: Moms how would you feel about your son marrying a “hot” woman? Posted: 15 Jun 2019 09:48 AM PDT My girlfriend had to make her social media private after Pervs got in her comments but she dresses in revealing clothes she's the one though. Three months together she's meeting mom soon |
Question: How much is a good salary to be able to support myself? Posted: 15 Jun 2019 09:33 AM PDT I live in Ohio and I would love to move out (I live with my dad) but the amount I get paid every 2 weeks isn t enough to support myself. Right now I help my dad with Bill s by giving him half of what rent is. Then also taking turns paying for groceries I normally end up with maybe $150 not including gas or pet needs. Looking at some places (in the ghetto) I definetely could afford them but I m terrified to even drive through those areas. I have some friends that live in the ghetto and hearing how miserable it is makes me tear up. The fact that it s so normal to hear gun shots and live in filthy areas is sad. I just don t know what steps I should take to possibly find a better paying job with no degree. Which I also cant afford college because my parents "make too much" for me to get a lot in loans. But they re also pretty poor themselves they re just not poor enough I guess. I dont know this is really why it s hard to want to do anything. |
Question: I'm scared i'll look like my mom when i'm older? Posted: 15 Jun 2019 09:11 AM PDT So, my mom used to be very pretty back in the day, but she really let herself go. She said she used to have a body like mine also people say I look like her and now i'm freaking out because I want to look better when i'm older. I'm still in high school and I try to exercise it just hurts and I quit. Is it inevitable i'll end up like her? |
Question: My sister is acting crazy, I’m scared. What do I do? Posted: 15 Jun 2019 05:28 AM PDT She is Bipolar and it's just me here with her as my parents had to take my brother to the airport two hours away. |
Question: Is it wrong to have kids if we know that we can't afford them? Posted: 15 Jun 2019 04:56 AM PDT Can I raise kids on a waitressing salary if I might be eligible for housing assistance and WIC? My husband works at Amazon and he earns more than me ($15/hr). We know we are not financially ready for kids but we still want kids. |
Question: How do I avoid being used as a sounding board for my aunt who is so bitter? Posted: 15 Jun 2019 04:45 AM PDT She is bitter cause her mother sided with her other sister in a dispute between the two over personality clashes. She has been bitter for 5 years now and hates her own mother though denies it. I used to be really close to her, now I'm scared of her. |

Question: What do i do with my wifes nagging? Posted: 15 Jun 2019 02:55 AM PDT first i thought i am going to have a happy and beautiful dreamy life then it turnes out to be nope. just a torture . before when i was single i was free.now what? she says things that are unfair to me.i have done my best and i am a hardworking man. just think a second how much a man is being selfless when he makes so much effort to provide for a family? i could basically buy myself happiness by not having a wife and children but i am now doing this . so she should be grateful of me . not nag at me when i am doing the best possible of everything. i told her about this but she doesn't listen. she thinks she is doing the right thing by pointing out my every small mistakes and very small problems. an example she wants all my money to buy something that is not needed and very expensive. i tell her no you already have it. you don't even tidy up your clothes and other stuff. you just mindlessly buy and buy and buy. at least we don't have kids right now. i am not sure if i can take it or not. |
Posted: 14 Jun 2019 11:12 PM PDT My child is 5 and a female. Is this normal? |
Question: My mom won't get a job and my brother gives her money then he turns and asks me for money? Posted: 14 Jun 2019 10:25 PM PDT My brother just got paid Thursday but gave our mom his card and told her to "get whatever she needs." She doesn't work and is trying to get disability though there are people in far worse shape than her who are working!! She has back problems BUT she also has two small kids (my other brothers) who she has to care for. She never has gas money to put in her tank and I have no idea how she pays her rent. I think she gets money from men because they come and go in and out of her life like crazy. My older brother (22) feels like he has to be "the man" and provide for her but he ends up asking ME for money. Meanwhile, I have a car note, insurance and phone bill! Plus other necessities. Now my question is, am I selfish for telling him that he has to start looking out for himself? My mom does NOT want to work but rather sit home and DO NOTHING. I told him that she doesn't have a job but he does and since he doesn't have a car he needs to have gas money to give someone to take him back and forth to work. Ugh.. Someone please give some input here 😣 Am I wrong? |
Posted: 14 Jun 2019 10:04 PM PDT Recently, my aunt (Dad's sister) contacted her brother due to the financial difficulties my cousin and his/her spouse are experiencing and wanted us to help them guarantee a loan from the bank. They want to buy a house but the bank isn't confident in their ability to pay back the loan. Several years ago said sousing was boasting about how he/she always maxed out his/her credit card. My father wants to help them because they're part of our extended family. My mom says absolutely not. Close family friends have told us to not even think about it. The bank manager thinks helping them will put our finances and home at risk. Our relatives have done nothing to help us, despite Mom and Dad always treating them well in the past. Should we help them out this time, after how they handled the wedding? Also, should we change our wills. Dad doesn't want to but Mom wants to take us and our financial will changed to prevent them inheriting anything. |
Question: Why my aunt said no to a man's marriage proposal instead of asking my mom? Posted: 14 Jun 2019 09:06 PM PDT My aunt wants to see me married and she takes me out because she hopes that someone will see me and propose to me, but one time there was a woman she told my aunt she wanted me to marry her son but my aunt said no. My aunt told about this to my mom and my mom was upset since it was not my aunt decision to say yes or no. Why my aunt said no instead of asking my mom first? |

Posted: 14 Jun 2019 08:15 PM PDT It is pissing me off so bad! I let her live at my apartment at half the actual cost (she pays $500 per month instead of $1000) and all she does it make up crazy stories about me that are absolutely not true and make me sound abusive. I want to kick her out so badly at this point. |
Question: How do I react to this abuse? Posted: 14 Jun 2019 08:01 PM PDT I'll start this off as letting you know I'm a grown adult. I visited my mother today and she was being disrespectful to her cleaning lady. I told her "be nice" and my mom grabbed a yardstick and smacked me on the head twice with it. Not flat but angled it and hit. I went psycho on her and told her I dare you to do that to me again. I said give me a reason to break that stick over your head. She ignored me and then she finally talked and told me to not tell her what to do. I don't even know how she's able to justify her actions by me telling her what to do. I could never hit my child...ever! What would you do? |
Question: Am I wrong to complain? Posted: 14 Jun 2019 07:02 PM PDT I live with my parents and older brother and I pay for more than half of the bills at home (utility bills, phone, internet, plus helping my brother pay for one of the cars). As I'm getting older I start to think about saving money cause eventually I would start my own family. But everytime when I get upset about how I'm paying most of the bills while my brother only pay for the two cars (insurance for both plus one car monthly payment) which got himself into, I am turned into the bad guy. The only reason why we have two cars is because my brother wanted it and my mom just went along with it. And I'm stuck with paying the bills. Now my mom is saying all I think about is money and that I'm being thrifty. And whenever I complain about being stuck with the bills, she tells me not to say it in front of my brother as it would upset him. And she would also get mad that I'm bringing it up. She makes it seem like is so wrong and I should just keep quiet. I had told her I wouldn't mind paying the house bills if I wasn't stuck with the car payment. The car is not even mine and I had no part in getting the car. But she still makes me feel like everything I say and do regarding this is wrong. Am I being unreasonable here or do I have a right to complain? |
Question: I'm in love with my ex but...? Posted: 14 Jun 2019 06:41 PM PDT So, I was with this guy when I was 16 and he was 21. I really did love him, but I came from and upper class family with strict parents and he was a drug addict who ran away from home at 17. Almost immediately after I started dating him, I got hooked on the same drug he was (cocaine). We were together about 2 months when I found out I was pregnant and my parents were furious. But, I kept the baby, and we moved out of state so he couldn't know about the baby. Of course, being pregnant I was forced to get clean also. A month ago, ten years later , my daughter and I to my home town, my parents moved back two years ago. My daughter is attending School here and everything is going really well. Its a small town and I ran into my ex a few days ago. We talked a bit and he asked me to go for coffee with him and I did. He is still on the drugs, but I still love him. H his the father of my child and I really don't know what to do. I know that going with him could trigger a relapse and I don't want to do that to my daughter, but there is something about him that I can't find in anyone else. Any advice? |
Question: Why don't parents let their teenagers throw parties at their house? Posted: 14 Jun 2019 06:27 PM PDT I'm not talking about birthday parties, I'm talking about regular parties. |
Question: Since I am going to be with my dad this weekend how do I avoid being hurt by my mom? Posted: 14 Jun 2019 06:12 PM PDT She gets furious when I go see my dad even if it is on Father's Day because he left her 12 years ago. I had to tell her I was seeing him this weekend because of scheduling conflict. Now I am scared of my mom's wrath. |
Posted: 14 Jun 2019 06:11 PM PDT This hurts me a lot as it's the first time it's happened. My sister son was struggling and so I took him in when he was 22 for about six months to help him get on his feet as a young adult. He's out on his own now and has been for four years. My sister is hated me very much for that because I did not participate in her anger at her son. Also I made the mistake of calling my sister out on it but I probably should not have and that she hates me for that. Are Mom is excluding me there for an encouraging my other sister to exclude me. Or dad's birthday is tomorrow. This hurts me a lot as it's the first time it's happened. Question: Is there such a thing as working too much? Is it not ok to try to get lots of overtime? Posted: 14 Jun 2019 05:13 PM PDT I'm having issues with my grandparents right now. I have promised them I would go to my first cousin (her other grandson) swim meets every Saturday morning. I have volunteered to work tonight and now my grandma is furious. I said I would be my place at 1am she thinks 3-4hrs of sleep isn't enough to function. She believes I'm working too much. I told her "I live off the overtime." She doesn't want me at the meet tomorrow and thinks I shouldn't go anymore if I am going to keep volunteering for work. I told her "I need the money." She would like me to not work my days off. My ex wife complained of the same thing. What is everyone so against? Again I know I can function on little sleep. I've done it before. I would like someone's perspective on this please. |
Question: Please help! Do you think what I did was really bad? Posted: 14 Jun 2019 05:08 PM PDT I am 26 and she is 23. Weve been on two dates and we've been talking since the 24th of May. Well she's been texting me less lately. Her family is in town and she's been hanging out with them every day. I started asking her relationship questions out of no where because I really like her. I asked her how she felt about sex and she told me shes not comfortable to answer that. And then she asks me why I have been asking these personal questions. I told her I am interested in her and I want to date her and see if we have the same beliefs. I apologized if I made her uncomfortable. Then she doesnt reply for a few hours and that had me really scared. What's worse is she finally replies and told me she has no comment, that we hardly know each other and it's too soon to get too serious and she said she has no idea what to say and she told me she would text me tomorrow because she has too much going on. That literally shattered me. So I sent her a text apologizing a bunch of times and that I feel like an idiot for putting her in an awkward spot. Now I feel really bad like I feel like she's going to dump me now. Do you think I ruined my chance with her? What do you think about the entire situation? Thank you!!!! |

Question: How to love your body image when someone you love constantly makes fun of you? Posted: 14 Jun 2019 05:05 PM PDT I've always struggled with my body image and my mom is the reason why. I've never been skinny, I've always had wide hips, a big butt, and a chubby stomach. My boyfriend and my friends all tell me that I look fine, but my mom constantly calls me "fat ***" "ugly" "too damn big" etc. it really hurts my feelings, and when I talk to my mom about it, she just tells me to "forget about it." She also takes out her anger on me and calls me names. I try my best to ignore it, but she's been doing this ever since I was a kid; I'm now 20. Moving out isn't an option - I'm still in college and I live at home. I used to be suicidal and I've moved past that stage, but my mom's comments is making me think suicidal again. I literally don't know what to do. I have a promising future, but my mom makes me want to kill myself sometimes. I've talked to her about how I feel, and she said that, "it's your life. Do what you want, just know that you won't go to heaven if you kill yourself." |

Question: How do you deal with worrisome parent? Posted: 14 Jun 2019 04:43 PM PDT I am in my 30s, I moved out of my parent's place 6 months and I was staying there for 4 months. I didn't email back, and it has only been 3 days and she is like freaking out. She like emailed again anki g if Iwas okay, and so on. The thing I emailed like 3 weeks ago about what I was doing and so on. Sometimes I don't want to email immediately, I already told her the first time to not worry, and if I was in trouble she would know. It is annoying because I want to live my life without havi g someone on back constantly wondering I am doing, where I am at and how I am. |
Question: How do I avoid unavoidable depressed feelings at the family reunion next weekend? Posted: 14 Jun 2019 03:44 PM PDT Two years ago when they had one I had my depressed feelings flare up but really didn't want to have them. The more I fought them the worse it got but I can't have fun when depressed. So how do I avoid these feelings at the reunion next weekend? I'm scared about it. I was so disappointed two years ago. Also can I be in a low mood and still enjoy it? |

Question: Help tracking my grandparents? Posted: 14 Jun 2019 03:06 PM PDT Hi all, This is pretty deep but I'm not entirely sure where to start with my search so any help would be greatly appreciated. My Dad and Aunty were left in some public toilets at the age of 1 and 4 in the 1960's and as a result, both were brought up in foster homes in Birmingham. My Dad is now 62 and what's some closure - not to meet and build a relationship, but more about understanding where me and my Dad came from (blood line) and i would be lying o said I wasn't intrigued having only known my Mums side of the family. I have his Mums name, I know the name of the foster home, but quite frankly don't know where to start and I don't want to do one of those "help me find my grandparents" on Facebook. Thanks in advance. |

Question: EITHER SNAP OR INSTA? Posted: 14 Jun 2019 02:03 PM PDT So I am currently 13 years old and I started to use Instagram and snapchat when I turned 11 years old. My parents always allowed me till recently they started monitoring and checking my social media a lot. NOW my mum is forcing me and I have no choice but to choose one app out of the 2. She says to use either snap or insta. Now I really love snapchat and need it along with insta so my mum says well you can take turns meaning for like a month use insta then delete it and use snap for a month and keep taking turns. She won't let me use and keep both apps at the same and obviously won't let me keep deleting and downloading one after another. She says to stick to one at a time. GUYS GUIDE ME HERE AND HELP CAUSE I JUST WANT BOTH SO BAD. |
