Question: My sister won’t allow her son to know their grandparents, is her reasonings justified? Posted: 10 Jun 2019 01:56 PM PDT It makes my mom really sad, but my sister is 4 months pregnant, and will not allow my mom to see the child because how my mom acts. My mom will lie on people to make people feel bad for her.. and my mom lied to our family, that my sister had 10,000$ and my mom was struggling and my sister didn't want to help her. Which isn't true.. my mom spent all her money on drugs and alcohol.. so my sister didn't want to reward her for being childish. Also, my sisters mother in law won't be able to see the child because of her colorist views.. my sister said she doesn't want her child growing up around white people concerned about a child's color. So neither grandparents will have the chance to ever see the child. But, I feel hurt.. because this will break our family up. We have all been through so much, and it sucks my sister will not allow them to see the children. |
Question: Parents, am I over reacting? Posted: 10 Jun 2019 01:03 PM PDT Without too much detail about my daughter I need to know if I m over reacting. I found out about 2 weeks ago that my 11 niece has been teaching my 4 year old daughter very inappropriate sexual things. (Not touching her, just way to much information sharing). So, just for a few weeks, I didn t want my daughter spending the night at my mom s (where my niece lives) to let things sort out and detox for a while. The first weekend my mom didn t have an issue , then this weekend she started telling everyone I m keeping my daughter away from her because I m mad at her and then tells me she thinks my daughter is over reacting and my niece didn t say or do anything. Then kept throwing up things I did as a kid, many many things she s screaming at me I don t remember at all! Am I over reacting by keeping my daughter home with me? Or over reacting to my mom calling my daughter a liar, telling everyone I hate her and I use my kid as a pawn? (Its worth noting I have a huge issue with things my niece taught her because my mom refused to protect or prevent worse things happening to me and I want to prevent them from happening to my daughter so I am overly protective at times.) |
Question: My mom is giving me the silent treatment and being vindictive towards me? Posted: 10 Jun 2019 11:37 AM PDT For NO reason, many times, my mom has treated me like the black sheep, gaslights me and starts fights and arguments with me, when I literally am minding my own business. My mom tsrated a fight with me and said ' don't talk to me' when I did not even say or do anything to her. She didn't talk to me for 1 week and then yesterday, I asked her a simple question and she continued to say 'don't talk to me'. My sister literally has cursed and sweared at her and my mom still talks to her. i honestly think my mom is a b i.t.ch and she is jealous of me. She treats me worse than my sibling, for no reason. My sister swears at her and has even physically attacked my mom but my mom treats my sister better than me. My sister is 30 and allowed to still do whatever she wants, she never pays for anything and just takes everything from everyone. What can i do? Don't just say move out, I want to know how to deal with difficult situations like this, while you're in it. What's her problem? |
Question: Why does my mom bully me? Posted: 10 Jun 2019 10:38 AM PDT She's always bullied me. She doesn't do my other siblings like that. My sister threw my mom's phone and broke it and my mom apologized to her. But when I do something she yells at me. It's like she takes out her anger on me. I'm tired of everyone taking out their anger on me. I did nothing to no one. I'm about to commit suicide. I'm tired of this. |
Question: Should I kill myself? Posted: 10 Jun 2019 09:57 AM PDT Ok so basically my life is absolute **** right now. I have no friends, no talents, I'm super ugly, my crush doesn't even know i exist, and I fight alot with my family. Today they tried to force me to to with them to a doctor's appointment for my mom. I'm almost 16 and I can stay home alone but they always try to force me to go. My dad threatened to hurt me when they get back and Im kind of scared. So should I run away, kill myself, or stay at my house? |
Posted: 10 Jun 2019 09:45 AM PDT Me and my sons father have a 50/50 schedule and custody. We switch Sundays at four. Recently my son has been falling behind in school and the teacher has told me he is more unfocused in the weeks his dad has him. His dad never gets the homework done and my son barely gets to do anything at his dads house because his dad just sits home with him and plays video games . On my sons Father's Day gift it asked his favorite memory with his dad and his answer was " my dad sleeps all day" I brought this up to his father and his dad said kids make **** up and cussed at me. I know kids can make things up they're kids but to specifically have that as his favorite memory just isn't right . When it's his dads week I've still gone to school meetings alone because his dad just chooses not to go. I want to change the schedule to where he only has our son Wednesday after school and until Sunday at four. I feel if our son was with me at least two days of every school week It would benefit him a lot. |
Question: My birth dad said some bad things to me? Posted: 10 Jun 2019 08:42 AM PDT Im 14, currently working on a quince planning for me. My parents are divirced and my mom remarried. My birth dad is an alcoholic and i stayed every weekend with him like the court wanted me to. Last weekend he and his neighbor buddy got drunk and told me that he was going to have sex with me on the night of my quinceanera with my quince dress still on in his back yard and he was going to see if his buddy wanted in on it. Idk if my mom will believe me cuz i know i have made up a few stories to her in the past. But how can i get my mom to believe me about my birth dad? |

Question: Why is my grandparents acting like this? Posted: 10 Jun 2019 08:18 AM PDT My grandparents, one up in his 80s and one in her 90s are beginning to act this way. They would take a tv remote and push the buttons and saying they cannot dial this telephone, I keep telling them that they have a t.v. remote and not the telephone. But they keep doing this daily. They are beginning to do things like eat out of the trash and keep asking what day it is. They are not able to do things like lift anything heavier than a newspaper. They cannot fall for if they do I have to get the ambulance over. What is happening to my grandparents? When I try talking to them they don't reason. They tend to act like children now. I don't know what's happened? |

Question: Got into a fight with my boyfriend over his sister's stinginess? Posted: 10 Jun 2019 08:01 AM PDT His sister always separates her own bill whenever we dine out. Few times I paid the whole bill because I had something to celebrate. She never did and would only bought my boyfriend a meal without me when gotten his help. On her daughter's graduation dinner, we all paid our won share as normal. It is time for my niece to graduate, and my sister will host a reception. I'm the one who extended the invitation without saying who would pay. She showed up with her daughter bringing a present of few dollars worth. The dinner cost for the 2 of them was ~$80. I feel she probably thought she had to pay her own dinner, therefore she didn't want to spend too much which is understandable. But I feel bad because my sister received such cheap gift because of me. Not that I looked for remedy, I just randomly talked about it to my boyfriend. He was pissed! He scolded me not letting it be just a happy memory; and of course I hinted his sister was cheap. Oh well, am I the bad one who express regret on certain thing? |
Question: Why doesn’t my mother trust me? Posted: 10 Jun 2019 07:51 AM PDT She doesn't want to leave me in the house alone with the internet repair man |
Question: Why does my mom seems to want attention so bad? Posted: 10 Jun 2019 07:51 AM PDT I want to know if anyone's else mom is like this and how to cope sometimes, I usually can but sometimes I just want to bang my head on the wall lol. There are times she just never shuts up yet she complains when other people are like that, sometimes I want to snap but I know it won't really help. One day we had people over for a pool party she did something over and over because it gave her attention we don't have people over often at all like that. I think she's lonely sometimes but she won't admit that she works from home I am working on the career job I want slowly. I think her working from home is a big part of this problem though she says she likes being alone more then being with people sometimes it's hard to see that, some days she will keep telling me to come here over small things that doesn't bother me so much it just does when she keeps talking and doesn't be quiet it goes on. We walk out dog once a day everyday I almost sometimes don't want to go because of this problem, I would like some advice. My career job is something that a lot of people don't accept I lost a lot of people from it so I do appreciate her supporting my decisions at least. |

Question: Gaining custody of a younger sibling.? Posted: 10 Jun 2019 04:46 AM PDT Hi! My name is Leigha, and I'm in a bit of a pickle right now. My mother in currently in the hospital right now recovering from a major stroke and cannot care for my 9 year old brother. My father is an alcoholic and refuses to get help. He has been emotionally/verbally abusive for years and me and my brother do not live with him any longer. But he wants to have my brother live with him. He does not have his own place and lives with his brother. I have many people who will back me up on why my brother will be best suited to live with me rather him. What should I do to gain custody of my brother until my mother is well enough to care for him again? Thank you in advance. Update: I'm 19 and have my own place. |
Posted: 10 Jun 2019 03:59 AM PDT So my Mom died in April. Cleaning out her house today I found this old angry rant to an aunt where I chewed her out for her complaining to my Mom of a social mistake I had made. I was rather out of control then and not being treated in full yet for my Bipolar and Anxiety. I am large much more stable and see this aunt from time to time and am Pleasant. I am not real close to her since my mom and her did not get along that great but I am perfectly nice as is she. So do I apologize 16 years later or just not bring it up? I was not nice in what I wrote but was a very immature young adult due to Bipolar. I also was drinking too much at the time. |
Question: Moms what would you do if you kid shrunk? Posted: 10 Jun 2019 03:34 AM PDT Your son/daughter shrink down to 1 inch in front of you. With no cure would you take care of them, treat em like a pet, or kill them out of mercy? What would you do with him/her if kept, or if you'd mercy kill how would you do it? Question: Should I call my mom? Posted: 10 Jun 2019 02:05 AM PDT I had a bad argument with my mom over the phone couple days ago. She is a narcissist that has been damaging my life for 30+ years. I've been brainwashed, manipulated for as long as I remember myself. Lately I've been doing a lot of research, coping, healing, trying to manage the situation while still keeping contact with her (she lives in another country). During last conversation she said I was getting out of control, tried to cry, guilt trip me, shame and blame, while playing the martyr. I was so sick and tired, I hung up. She called yesterday. I didn't answer and turned my phone off. Today my father called (no contact with him for the last 3 months, same reason). I didn't answer. I don't feel like talking to either of them for some time. On the other hand I am a bit worried, she is alone in the beach house I bought for her, if anything happens, how would I know? |

Question: My boyfriends getting kicked out of his aunts house? Posted: 10 Jun 2019 01:08 AM PDT basically my boyfriends aunt said he's getting kicked out in 2 months since he's been living there for a year. most of his family doesn't care for him and deliberately refuses to help him. he doesn't have a car or a job. he used to have a job but his family stopped giving him rides so he was forced to quit. he's applied to many jobs and received many offers but he has no reliable transportation therefore he can't get a job. he has no money so he can't uber or take a bus. he's applied for jobs in walking distance but no one will hire him even after he's called them repeatedly. also my boyfriends family that he lives with stole all of his savings so now he's really broke. i don't know how to help him. i live with my parents and told him i'd help him find jobs and drive him when i can but sometimes he refuses that i help him because he doesn't want me to do everything for him. i'm also looking for jobs myself so i can't always be around. what should i do? |

Question: How can I deal with being overprotective of my sister? Posted: 09 Jun 2019 09:57 PM PDT At times I get very angry when guys flirt with her. The other day a guy got an erection after hugging her. I was pissed. She's been beat on before so It feels like I can't help but be the way that I am with her. She's two years older than I am. |
Question: What are qualities a Moroccan mother would disapprove of for her son to marry? Question: Is it wrong to back out of trips because of money issues? Posted: 09 Jun 2019 08:49 PM PDT Here's the deal. Im supposed to go on a trip to Canada with my cousin and 5 other family members but I'm thinking of telling them no since my money has been looking bad. My expenses are bigger and my checks aren't enough. I'm barely able to keep $100 a month for myself. I have to $300 for the van rental and $250 for hotel so $550 total. This trip too much for me but my biggest concern is my cousin having to pay more. We were supposed to split hotel costs since we were a sharing room. So if I don't go he will have to pay $500 instead of $250. A!so if I don't give $300 then everyone will have to pay more for the van rental. Idk what to do |
Question: I want to find my bio dad & don't know what to do? Posted: 09 Jun 2019 08:49 PM PDT I am 23, looking for my biological father. I have never met him, and have little to go on. My mom was really the only one who could have helped but she has passed away. I used the little info I have on him to search but have only hit dead ends. I have also reached out in search of his adopted son but still no luck. I don't have alot of money to keep looking, but I have so many questions for him. I just don't know what to do, please help. |

Posted: 09 Jun 2019 07:28 PM PDT He is my Dad but a mix up in his chemistry made him in the body of a woman and so he is able to get pregnant like a woman could. I am 17 and wondering how to explain this if people ask when school goes back at the end of August. We're out now for the summer. |
Question: Why does my mom get upset that no one helps her when she's making dinner? Posted: 09 Jun 2019 06:55 PM PDT Instead me and my dad just do our own thing and let my black lab just get in her way. For the 31 years I've lived with my parents that's how it's always been with no one helping her. I don't understand why she still gets upset about it every night when she makes dinner. She should've realized and accepted it by now. |
Question: Why would an unattractive guy dump a nice and pretty girl? Posted: 09 Jun 2019 06:25 PM PDT I have been told by tons of guys that I am good looking and guys always tried to get my attention even when I was taken. I am also one of the most caring people in the world. I am always nice to others and try my best try my best to help people. Before we started dating, I was talking to tons of different guys. Out of all the guys, I chose my boyfriend because he wasn't as attractive and he never had a girlfriend before so I thought he wouldn't take me for granted or dump me. But boy was I wrong! I was never mean to him and I did nothing wrong. |
Question: Should I move out and go into debt, or stay living with my alcoholic father? Posted: 09 Jun 2019 03:33 PM PDT I'm 18 years old and I will be going to college very soon. The thing is that I always planned on staying at home for college because it saves 15k and i don't even have enough for tuition (15k itself). I wanted to make sure I was always going to be financially stable but now I'm thinking about "at what cost?" My dad is an alcoholic and he does NOT want to change, he doesn't really care anymore. All he ever does is yell and scream at everyone and I take the brunt of it. He's always telling my crap like "kill yourself/you're useless" and all that kind of stuff and like I guess I'm numb to it by now, but I really would like to cut him out of my life, I just don't have the money to do so. Should I be financially responsible or should I just stick it out for like 4 more years? |

Question: Does my Mom have a right to be upset at me? Posted: 09 Jun 2019 02:17 PM PDT About two months ago I asked my mom if she and my dad would like to go on a vacation with my husband and I this summer. She said that they couldn't make plans at that time because my dad might be having shoulder surgery sometime this summer. So I proceeded to look at other options. My husband and I considered going to a few closer places just the two of us, but ultimately decided on going to the beach with his parents in early September. We chose this because my husband has never seen the ocean and it is cheaper to split the cost between two couples. It would also be fun to have his parents there for some memories. I told her of our plans the other day and she completely lost it. She claims that she is upset because we asked them first and then made plans with the other parents. I legitimately thought they weren't going because of my dad's possible surgery, which hasn't even happened yet and then he has to go through the pain of recovery. Also she has never followed up with me about going on a big trip with them in the entire two months, other than making plans to go to Branson with them in December, which is about two hours away. I thought we were doing that instead of the big trip. I personally think she's just mad/jealous because we're going with his parents instead of them. She doesn't like his parents and has even admitted to it, even though she's only seen them three times. Am I in the wrong or not? |
Question: My daughter won’t speak to us? Posted: 09 Jun 2019 07:08 AM PDT My daughter just graduated college with a degree in meteorology. She lives in Florida and is living rent free in a townhouse my husband & I own. She's been offered a job at the National Weather Service in Norman OK. They are NOT paying her relocation costs. My husband and I first and foremost are NOT comfortable with her living in Oklahoma that far from home. THIS MONTH SPECIFICALLY) we cannot financially afford to help her relocate. If it was any other month and she was moving anywhere on the EAST COAST we would be willing to help her to move out there but money is very very tight right now until August. Her start date is in July. We told our daughter if she agreed to move back to New Jersey or if she agreed to stay in Florida at the townhouse for at least a year we would give her $10,000 in August to help her live until she could find employment where she is at. She was very upset and feels like we are trying to bribe her. We are NOT. We are just looking out for her best interest. We don't want to see her move out there and fall flat on her face and fail. That's our biggest fear the job doesn't work out and she's stuck in oklahoma. For 2 days she has not spoken to my husband or I. She's very upset with us. Is what we are doing wrong? |
