Question: Did I make a mistake taking this job? Posted: 12 Jun 2019 01:29 PM PDT I recently left my old company (retail service) of 6 years with the title corporate finance analyst to accounting at an automotive supplier. I was told it was a mixed role of finance and accounting . The offer included 1k raise, 2 weeks of vacation, time off for Christmas, and tuition reimbursement ( my old company didnt have). I ve been at the role 3 weeks now and it s not as expected. The job has been all transactional accounting and I have yet to use any of the skills I have developed in finance. I see how all processes can be improved but I dont want to step on peoples toes. Should I stay around and get my MBA because they give reimbursement? Or should I look for a job where I feel like I will grow. I have 7 years of accounting and finance experience (that they wanted) yet I feel like I was misled about the job. I regret not asking more questions during the interview process because as of now I dont think I would have taken the job if I knew it was this disorganized (they have no procedures). What should I do? |
Question: How do I deal with the fact I ll end alone? Posted: 12 Jun 2019 01:11 PM PDT im a couple of months away of turning 24 years old and It s stuns me to think I ve gotten this far and absolutely nothing has changed in my social life, lmao. Zero friends and still zero relationships. I cannot talk to people. My voice comes out as just mundane i assume and never know how to handle conversations or what to say.. I dont consider myself very attractive but i guess im not ugly either..only thing that isn t that bad i guess. I just constantly make myself look dumb and barely talk. Last couple years at my job I ve finally had feelings for a couple girls and last year for the first one. well.. it was bad. it was my first year at my job after a long time of loneliness so me and her (despite working close to eachother in the same area)... Never spoke for 2 months. Not more than just a few words and i fkn had feelings for her, lmao. This year. with some other girl.. same thing pretty much. Im not as bad at talking but its still bad tho. Barely even talk. Can t get close to anyone/ dont know how. Its like i know every tip to succeed but i just cant deliver. like im cursed... I just suffer in complete silence and the decent conversations are in my head. I overthink. Sometimes when I m alright I m not that scared to speak, and my words come out good and I sound confident. That s extremely rare ofc. I get out put down or up very easily. Yet I m always down. Also does anyone a similar forum that can actually help out? Feel like this websites been kinda.. rip. |

Question: Can my aunt kick me and my brother out of the house we’ve also payed for? Posted: 12 Jun 2019 10:14 AM PDT ~10 years ago my mom &her brother decided to buy a house & move in with each other because it was the most cost efficient thing at the moment My mom brought my brother & myself along & my uncle brought his son &his wife &her mom. 7 years ago, my uncle passed. Since then, all of the payments have been divided between 3: my mom, my aunt, &her mom. Now, my mom is dying. I recently found out my aunt has been asking my mom's best friend some questions about what my mom has in terms of paperwork for the house &what she plans to do. She has also said that once my mom passes, she can kick my brother &I out if she wants. We've never had a bad relationship, or any issues with money or anything of that like so I'm not sure where this stems from. I know that obvious answer is look at who has rights the house based on the deed that was signed but here's the thing; my mom was not a citizen at the time she &my uncle bought the house so everything went under him &my aunt. There were many, many discussions between my mom, uncle, &aunt about how the ownership would be split up as well as how the money would be split between them should they sell the house. I'm not completely sure if there was any contract that would have been signed between them, I'm looking into that right now. Like I said, I know the obvious answer. My mom *technically* doesn't have rights for ownership of the house but I want to know if there is anything we can do about this. If there is, what kind of lawyer do I need? |
Question: Why did my mom look this up for? What does it seem like? Posted: 11 Jun 2019 10:58 PM PDT Dad had our computer taken to get fixed and when I came home today I saw my mom used my laptop and search up "periods last normally 7 to 10 days menopause" and ovulation stuff like that and I'm just wondering why? if I already help her months ago search up a bunch of this and helping her learn about it all since she just started... the site she went on had lady's talk about pregnancy or treatments but I believe for the menopause symptoms etc, my mom is 44 just want to know what this means? Especially since she used my laptop that I actually barely use and my dad uses more since it's easy to take around the house. When she saw my use it today she had a look on her face like why you are there.... |
Question: Why would she start after she gave advice? Posted: 11 Jun 2019 09:33 PM PDT Im in college and have a class with a girl my age. She laughs at stuff I say, smiles a lot at me and to stuff I say. She said hi when she saw me ask what's up. We had to do peer reviews and she came to my table sat next to me at my table I talked to her she said something, smiled at me and looked deep into my eyes and didn't stop smiling and it felt awkward, if I didn't break the eye contact she probably would've continued. One day I sat down waiting for class and she came in for class walked over and started waiting very close to me, hovering over standing in my personal space, she walked right in front of me and started getting close to me and I could smell her but she had her back to me. This was the closest she's been to me. There was a whole room not a lot of other people. When I talked about another girl flirting with me and asking for advice from some one else on how to not lead her on. She joined the conversation gave advice. said that the other girl will continue pushing boundaries and persisting if I don't say I'm not interested and rip the band-aid right off. She started this stuff after I asked for advice, afraid she knows I have issues with this stuff |
Question: What is this person called? Posted: 11 Jun 2019 06:37 PM PDT He is nice to people he likes and mean to people he don't like, He is will have you a mouth full if you say the slightest thing out of the way to him and you would try to reason with him over his ridiculous outburst of anger, he will tell you 'well you need to reconsider your actions and use of words', he won't reason back but make it like you need to reform yourself. He has the inability to reason or rationalize but is final on everything and he sticks to his gut no matter what. He doesn't care to ball you out if he feels that you wrong him, even the slightest offense and he doesn't hold back his cruelty. He is cliquey with his friends. He would ask a question and if you don't directly answer him right away but beat around the bush he would raise his voice and ask the question again rolling his head and being all smart aleck and angry and rude. You would then hush up and directly answer him. When he is in his outburst yelling in your head you try to come back at him and he screams 'shut the h e l l up' and he locks you into a position where you cannot get away. He get up close and looks you straight in the eye, you can only back up but he pushes against you. If you tease him he would snap and hurt you. He tends to snap at almost anything. |
