Question: The rule of friendship: hating other people? Posted: 06 May 2018 12:56 PM PDT So my close friend dislikes this girl in my class who just seems to annoy her and they argue and swear at each other a lot etc, all the typical junk. If I ever talk to this girl, my friend tells me off and that I should dislike her too because she does. Even though this girl has done nothing to me and is a lot nicer to me. HOWEVER, I have an ex best friend who pretty much backstabbed me and we never spoke again. My close friend talks to her and says she's nice and pretty. If I don't like her, she shouldn't either. Right? Why would she expect me to listen to her and not talk to the girl she dislikes when she doesn't do that for me? Teenage rubbish, I know. Any advice appreciated. |
Posted: 06 May 2018 12:22 PM PDT this seriously happens everytime i make a friend. They talk about how short and pale i am and make stupid jokes about me. and i hate being in groups because they always leave me out and they always choose to make time for other friends/other things and hobbies but never me |
Question: Poll: how would you feel if a friend told you this? Posted: 06 May 2018 11:39 AM PDT My friend told me I made stuff up inside my head it cannot be true (the guy I like is gay, which he isn't) I made excuses to protect him which is normal when I don't want to accept the truth. She knew I cried for hours and she really hurt my feelings because I told her the truth what happened between me and him. Later she told me maybe he isn't gay and told me I made stuff up inside my head for a different reason. That shows me she doesn't respect my feelings especially when she knows I cried for hours the first time she told me I made stuff up. |
Question: Why do parents make you change plans when you ask them if you can get out of the house.? Posted: 06 May 2018 10:48 AM PDT I ask my mom on thursday night 05/03/2018 if I could go to the mall and hangout for a while on sunday may 6th 2018 and she says thats fine. Now that its may 6th 2018 I am told by my stepdad I need you to vaccum and help clean the house and then he tells me I have all day to do it almost like he assumes I don't have plans for today. I was going to spend an hour or 2 with a friend at the mall but I had to tell him change of plans and that I won't be able to hangout 2day. I hate it when you get told ok you can go to the mall but then get told you need to clean the house. What my stepdad wants done will indeed be an all day thing and I even complained about this happening this past friday. I told them I rarely ask if I can go and get out of the house because I know you will complain that nobody helps clean the house. #lifesucks, #stuck@home, #nosociallife. |
Question: How to get my work friend to leave me alone? Posted: 06 May 2018 10:09 AM PDT So at my job there is this guy that I've been super cool with since he started 3 months ago. I trained him and everything. He's funny and cool but whenever we get together we get super loud and laugh a lot and the other day I almost got in trouble for being too loud. The thing is he's already been in trouble and don't really care his job because if he did he would stop being so loud and talking so much. I told him before that I'm trying to do my work but he's was like "bro why you're being like that?" And I told just told him to talk quiet and he say okay. But then we started laughing loud and talking so much again because he's always saying something funny lol. So how do I deal with him before I get in trouble there? |
Question: Does this girl like me more than a friend? Posted: 06 May 2018 10:06 AM PDT I've been talking to this girl for 6 months now. She leaves tmrw for a month to study abroad. I never really paid her any compliments which is stupid on my part because it was obvious we both have feelings for each other. there's a possibility I might be moving away too so i might not see her again.. i texted her that i really do like her and that ill miss her. She responded, "I like you too, and I'll miss you a lot. Don't forget me ok? "Nothings definate andhopefully we can hang out in atlanta next month. I did want to say hanging out with u made me a better and happier person and i really valued the time we spent together. Whenever i saw you i was instantly in a happy mood. you're going to go far in life. you're so intelligent and beautiful which is so rare to find now a days" She replied back with this: you are so sweet. You made my semester better too. Im really glad I met you and I know you are going to make the correct decision, you have lots of thinking to do. Think about what's best for you and your future. If you stay here, how do you see yourself in I don't know 2 years? And how would it look like if you go there? |
Posted: 06 May 2018 09:47 AM PDT Years ago my friend had this heavy set girlfriend whom he is married to now. I used to say mean things to him about his girlfriend. Recently I started liking a woman that is heavy set myself because she is a nice person. I told my mother that now that I like a heavy set woman that I feel bad for making fun of my friend's girlfriend. She said to me that I shouldn't feel bad for saying those mean things. |

Question: How To Avoid Someone You Dont Like (But Likes You) At Prom? Posted: 06 May 2018 08:53 AM PDT I'll try to keep this short and sweet. Basically, I'm going to a dance soon with my best friend, who will be named Violet for now. This happens to be our first ever dance. We've been super excited, and we've been preparing all week. This is it, this is our night together. This is where the problem occurs: Violet and I go to the same club. She happened to casually mention the dress she picked out to me, and that immediately picks up the attention of someone in the club. We'll call her Melissa. Melissa...we've known her for a while, and neither of us have come to like her. She's a sweet girl, and we'd really love it if we could like her, but for some reason we just dont. However this was when we had just met her, so we didn't know that we wouldn't like her. So Violet obviously spills the details and ends up convincing her to go. Now it's a week before the dance, and we're stuck here. Melissa knows we're going and we know she's going, so she's going to seek us out. I don't want Melissa to spoil the night for Violet and I. And I don't mean to say that in a rude way. She's done nothing quite wrong except overstep my boundaries and cause some drama, but still. I definitely want to give her a second chance, but I dont want that second chance to be this dance. It's a big deal for us. I don't want to make things awkward and ruin the whole night just because of how we feel. So, Yahoo Answers: She likes us, we don't like her. How do we avoid her as much as humanly possible? EDIT: I now realize this sounds like a typical "Me and my friend are the best friends ever and this girl DARES to try and be friends with us? How dare she?" Pretentious sterotype, so let me clarify: My friend and I being close has nothing to do with this. I'm just trying to avoid someone that likes us. I probably would have worded this question the same way had only I been going to the dance. |
Question: Talking to my parents about a pen pal? Posted: 06 May 2018 08:43 AM PDT I have an internet friend who is very obviously not some kind of catfish or anything like that, and we are wanting to become penpals, the only problem is I dont know if my parents will let me because they dont quite understand internet friends and they will think its sketchy no matter what. what is a good way to explain it to them in a way that they will let me be penpals with her and it wont seem sketchy to them? I could tell them it s for school or something but I really dont know 🤔 |

Posted: 06 May 2018 07:57 AM PDT i don't understand it. people HATE eachother in hs yet smile. talk about everyone, purposely exclude people, ditch real friends for more "popular" ones. but when college comes around i feel like it kind of ended. |
Question: Should give up on my best friend? Posted: 06 May 2018 07:51 AM PDT me and B have been best friends for over 10 years .i started going thru a tough time and when i would try talking to her about it she'd never listen and made obvious that she'd rather be talking about other things.but whenever she comes to me with issues i am ALWAYS there for her.i feel like our relationship is 1 sided.her power went out,i let her stay in my house for days,i am always there for her & have her back & she clearly does not have mine.recently someone in school started spreading things that weren't true & offensive to me and when i confronted them they told me B was the one who had said those things.i asked her & she denied it and ranted about how no one cares about my issues. after all that she said, she had the nerve to be pissed at me.i was talking to a "friend" about my issues with B & some other drama and my "friend" showed ppl who i was friends with the texts. basically got exposed & everyone got mad at me for saying the truth about them.i apologized to B & she said ok it's fine, then she goes to my other close friend and tells him that we're not friends anymore and she was talking **** to other ppl saying lies.to my face she acts fine but then on socials like snapchat she leaves me on open & ended our streak. she ignores my texts (i only text her bc we carpool) it's just a situation that i feel like i'm the 1 who should be mad.it's a shame tho bc we've been friends for a long time and it's ending bc she found out i told someone else abt something she did. |
Question: I found someone else's thing inside my bag? Posted: 06 May 2018 07:22 AM PDT On last Friday, I had a school event until half past ten at night. I was a member of student council. When I went to the student council room to take my clothes, I saw my senior (who was also a member). When I finished changing my clothes, he was gone. Sometime later at night, he asked to all the members who took his hair gel. I didnt know anything at that time, and no one saw his gel. He was angry. He was known as the scariest senior if he was angry. When we were allowed to go home, my friend took my bag from the room and I didnt check my bag. I went home immediately. And today, right now, I was taking my clothes out from my bag. Then I found a hair gel inside my bag. I swear I dont know anything about it. I asked my friend and she didnt know too. I dont know who put it in my bag. What should I do when I return it to him tomorrow? Should I say I found it in the student council room? Or should I tell him the truth? If I do, Im afraid he won't believe me and gets mad at me. But if I told him i found it, the person who put it in my bag might tell him that he/she put it in my bag to tease me. I dont want to be called a liar. And the fact that he saw me in the room when I took my clothes might make him think I really took his gel. But, I really dont have any reason to steal a gel. Im a girl. I dont need it. So what should I do? |
Question: How to handle upset friend.? Posted: 06 May 2018 07:10 AM PDT So about two weeks ago I tell my friend we should hang out the next day. So the next day comes I had a small errand I had to do, which took longer than it needed to because I came the wrong way back home taking me an hour and a half to come back to my house. When I got there I cleaned up a bit and at about 5pm, I was about to call to say I was coming over but then that second I received an angry text from him saying why I hadn't texted all day and that if I didn't want to hang out I should have just told him because he could've made plans with other people. After that I sent a text saying I never even planned on canceling and that he was making it a big deal and he never responded and I was upset so I never came over. I'm confused by his reaction because I thought we would just hang out whenever not at a specific time and it's not like he texted me either. I reached out recently about two days ago asking him how he was and he basically said he was still upset with me. |
Question: Does this mean he does not like me that much anymore? Posted: 06 May 2018 02:35 AM PDT I recently met someone that I knew from online. We chatted for several years online before we met in person ..this was mainly because I was too afraid to meet him. ..anyway, we met as friends but when we first started chatting he seemed to be crazy about me and used to send me long emails and I did the same for him too but now several years later he says he is very busy working and seems to not send me very many emails and wants me to shorten mine to him...but he is still willing to hang out with me but he does not like the long emails anymore. I am wondering if this is a sign that he does not like me as much as he used to? thanks and will choose a best answer |
Question: Why is he react differently in front of me? Posted: 06 May 2018 02:00 AM PDT My tenant and I had an argument when we WhatsApp, he insisted to move out end of month but due to the rules or regulations, he only can do so next month and we argue on WhatsApp, we are the same age, mid 30s, he is male tenant and I'm female landlord, can tell he is furious when we text but at night when we saw each other in the living room, he react normal and when I ask something unrelated to rental, he kind of stammer and talked not normal but not angry? Why? Is he uncomfortable with me? What day you? |
Question: Do you think I should compensate her? And how much? Posted: 06 May 2018 01:05 AM PDT So a friend came over my place because we had decided to dye our hair together. I have 2 husky puppies, whom are adorable but are also very mischievous. So my friend slept over, and the next morning one of my puppies had destroyed her shoes. The shoes were a year old, but she seemed to really treasure them and try to take care of them well. They were 180 dollar nike shoes, and my puppies have never ate shoes before. This was also her second time over, and nothing happened the first time which is Why I told her the shoes were okay where they were. I don t have enough money to pay 180 dollars, and well I don t think I should have to pay the full price, but how much would be enough as compensation? |

Question: Do I have the right to be upset? Posted: 06 May 2018 12:40 AM PDT I have a best friend who is female. We are both in our early 20s. We have been friends since last year October, we met in college. I met her at the wrong time due to the fact that she was moving to a private college. For the whole holiday (3 months) I couldn't come to her place due to her parents being overprotective and enforcing rules in the house. I had to call and text her for 3 months. This year she started at a new college. I would take a bus to go see her and I would spoil her with gifts. We were even each other's Valentines. She would call me a lot and I would do the same. Lately due to her exams and assignments and me being stranded at home due to a public transport strike, it has caused us to wait for each other. She said that she will wait. Yesterday she invited me to go accompany her to her friend's birthday. I said yes. She said she will get back to me on it as she was gonna ask her. She didn't say anything after that. I tried calling her but no answer. I would of went because I had someone who would of taken me. This morning I woke up to her profile picture changed to her and her friend at the birthday party. It made me upset. I'm not upset at her friend, I'm upset that my best friend didn't inform me that she said no. I mean why did she bring it up to me in the first place when she knew that her friend was gonna say no. My anxiety is getting the best of me now and I'm also feeling a bit down. Do I have right to be upset? |
Question: Bigger breasts vs living a happy life? Posted: 06 May 2018 12:02 AM PDT I am naturally just meant to have very small breasts. I am basically freaking flat! I really hate them. But I have found some ways to increase breast size[please don't judge guys xoxo] I have done the research, this natural method works and is working for me. The thing is that it works slowly like a year or two and the increase is between 2 to 4 cups. I am also really interested in things like bouldering, rock climbing, mountain biking, cycling. I want to do more and more of these things. The thing is that women who are very active and participate in such sports are likely to go down a few cup sizes. That's just how the human body works. So I am scared that if I do all those sports then I might overtime lose the breasts I gain. Many women who use the method I am using say that if they are very active then they lose the breasts they gain and have to work at it again. So if I want big boobs and want to do all the activities mentioned above I will have to use this breast enhancement method for the rest of my life. And it's a time-consuming method. If I am not very active then I can stop after two years. Everyone who doesn't believe in the methods I am trying just pretend that they work and will work for me. My self-esteem is so low because of my boobs. I genuinely feel as this ugly disgusting thing. I have internalized things from guys' negative comments, media, society. Having bigger breasts would be so awesome. What should I do? What would you do? |
Posted: 05 May 2018 06:33 PM PDT I like this girl my whole life we are good friends we both in college I'm trying to get over her so I blocked her on social media. To get her out my life. I'm probably gonna do something with her this summer cause I'm friends with her friends. Well I'm doing everything in my power to move on but it's just so hard, deep down I feel like I would have a chance if I said the right things this summer but I know I shouldn't do that because it's not right to do that if I'm trying to move on, I just checked Snapchat and she's most likely at this party and I'm not doing anything right now so I feel down about that but yeah. Give me all advice |
Question: Why is it bad to call a female sweetheart? Posted: 05 May 2018 06:22 PM PDT I was at dinner with my parents and the waitress kept calling me buddy. I am used to being called sir by strangers and I didn't really like that she was calling me buddy. So I called her sweetheart. I only did this thinking it was a kind of feminine version of buddy. My mom got upset at me and said that it's not okay to call any woman sweetheart. I explained to her that I was only doing it because she kept calling me buddy. My mom said that some people have different ways of addressing people they don't know. But I didn't know her so wouldn't it be okay for me to address her the same way she had been addressing me but in the female version? I honestly don't know how to address people anymore. A substitute teacher got mad at me for calling her mam Because it made her feel old. |
Question: How do I be less awkward and stupid all the time? Posted: 05 May 2018 04:51 PM PDT No matter where I am I always look out of place like I am lost or retarded or something. When I talk with my friends or other members of society the few words I chose to say always have to be the most stupid things. Example " Oh my god I hate driving too cause when I do that I burp rainbows" (obviously I didn't really say that but like I always end up saying stupid things like that) Also whenever I am around people I have really awkard reactions to everything ughhhhhhhhh how do I fix myself |
Posted: 05 May 2018 02:16 PM PDT Why?!?!? Please can u explain this to me? |
