Question: My friend was raped 4 years ago, advice? Posted: 14 May 2018 05:09 PM PDT She never kept it a secret, I've known the past 4 years that it happened and tried to be there for her when it initially happened, but she still let's it control her life. She claims to still feel like something got damaged or that she can't have sex because of something that happened to her because of the rapist. It's killed all of her relationships. She won't see help and I'm not sure what I can do to help her? Do I force her to see a doctor? Is this all for attention? It's been 4 years. This seems excessive for someone who never his this tragic event, so she's had friends and family support the past few years |
Question: I really want to hangout with this guy, what should I do? Posted: 14 May 2018 04:44 PM PDT He and I are just friends and we've been trying to hangout for awhile. But I've been so busy with school. And he's busy with work. Recently he asked me to go with him to the Opera. He and I are only friends and have never been out together. He told me how much it costs and ask me to come with him. I couldn't go through because of school I wish I could have went with him. I asked him if we could hangout when I have a break. He said it was ok I still really want to hangout with him. What can I do? |
Question: Poll: do you like it when your friend tries to control your love life or do you hate it? Posted: 14 May 2018 04:36 PM PDT For instance, tries to tell you what makes you happy. Personally I hate it when anyone tries to tell me what makes me happy and I definitely hate it when people try to control my love life. |

Question: Can someone give me good advice? Posted: 14 May 2018 12:41 PM PDT I know this girl since Christmas and we have been best friends since. Lately she hasn't been texting me like we usually do.. we talked everyday all the time and always made plans to hang out. She opens my messages and doesn't text me back, hangs out with others and rubs it in my face. It hurts because I trusted her a lot and don't have that many friends. I recently applied to a retail store where we first met and I honestly don't feel like accepting the job if it is offered to me.I just need some help on what to do.. I feel like if I talk to her about it she will complain or say I'm just jealous when really I want things to go back to normal because she is my best friend.. |

Question: How do you tell a nosey co worker to **** off nicely? Posted: 14 May 2018 11:42 AM PDT I have a nosey co worker who doesn't know how to mind her own business. She is in everyone's business and she has no life of her own. |
Posted: 14 May 2018 11:10 AM PDT She never met the person you like and told you she's not interested in meeting him. |
Question: Why would classmates throw milk cartons at a gay dude at the school’s cafeteria? Posted: 14 May 2018 11:09 AM PDT I mean, he didn't do anything! But I don't know for sure but I saw three students throwing a milk carton at him and he went to the restroom right after. :/ |
Question: This is why I hate people? Posted: 14 May 2018 10:44 AM PDT Based on MY personal experiences, which I think OFTEN reflect bigger issues: The "popular" people rarely have good personalities. It's not personality that makes a person popular--just like in high school; it never ends! It's LOOKs, image, RACE, status = Popularity. The coolest, funnest, smartest, and most interesting people? They're often overlooked cuz they don't have the "right" LOOKS, image, RACE, or status. In a nutshell. I hate people. It's rare to find people who aren't slaves to this BS social hierarchy. Am I right? Cue: "find people who truly see u for u." I've TRIED forever. fyi. **When I say "popular" I don't mean I want to be. I mean people write you off if you don't fit the credentials listed for popular. |
Question: Should I stop helping my classmates? Posted: 14 May 2018 09:49 AM PDT I am the only guy in my high school AP physics class. My classmates are all good friends of mine. Most days a few of them ask me for help with their homework so I help them in the library after school. They really appreciate the help and on Fridays they bring treats that we share. They call this is a mini thank you party for my help. We all have a lot of fun doing this. Some times they give me a hug and say thank you and sometimes they give me a kiss on the cheek and say thank you. The problem is these girl's boyfriends are mad a me for being so close to their girlfriends. They tell me to stay away from their girlfriends. I don't think they have any reason to be mad at me. The girls ask for my help. If they don't want me helping their girlfriends, they should take this up with their girlfriends shouldn't they? Am I doing something wrong here by helping these girls? |
Posted: 14 May 2018 09:20 AM PDT Let's say you just don't like being around said person anymore because they have wronged you too many times and just keep doing things you don't like. Is it wrong to cut this person off and don't initiate conversation unless you have to? |
Question: Do you prefer friends over money? Posted: 14 May 2018 09:11 AM PDT I grew up poor my whole life. However, when I got a decent job my poor friends always asked for money or help. That really got annoying. I now have less friends but friends who work with me or make similar money and my life is much better. Is that wrong? I thought I would stay friends with my old ones but it's easy to loose interest when you do new things |
Question: What kinda should I get her ? Posted: 14 May 2018 08:49 AM PDT She's like my friend/sister. She just had her birthday about 5 days ago. Her dad death the same day but they hid it from her because she's was going to write final exam and graduate. She graduated from college yesterday and they final told her about the sad news. What will be the best gift to get her ? She's 26 Thanks |
Question: Do you fear losing anybody in your life? Posted: 14 May 2018 06:59 AM PDT I don't mean by death, but by them leaving? Could be a friendship or relationship. I try not to let this bother me but I always think about it and worry someone important to me decides to betray me and leave. I hate the thought of them finding someone better and have someone else make them happy. |
Question: What do I do now that this site is pretty much dead? Posted: 13 May 2018 10:47 PM PDT I don't like reddit or it's format and I detest Facebook and twitter and the like but I have no social life and for reasons I won't state here it's not an option for me and never has been. I live alone and am constantly lonely and don't have a soul to talk to. Or at least one that wants to or I'd want to. |
Question: What to say to my friend when she embarrasses me? Posted: 13 May 2018 08:28 PM PDT Hello, Sometimes I hang out with my friend in public, and we will discuss topics and then she ll start to raise her voice extremely loud and begin saying having one-sided conversations with herself in public and ocassionally throws in cuss words. One instance I corrected her and said "The way you re talking makes it look like you re about to fight me, relax" and she s like "no, i m just talking". It hasn t caused a stir with anyone else, but these rants make me feel uncomfortable, am I a unfit friend for feeling this way? I do not think I want to stop being friends, but I wonder, if you can be friends with someone and dislike certain things they do, or correct them? |
Question: What do you usually do on weekends? Posted: 13 May 2018 07:58 PM PDT |
Question: Was is sexually assaulted ? Posted: 13 May 2018 07:54 PM PDT on Friday night, my brothers friend came to sleep over. i am really close to my brother , speaking that we are twins. so i usually hangout with him and his friends. so at like 1 am or so, we started smoking a few blunts and once i got high, i just layed down on our basement couch and closed my eyes. my brother passed out in the room next door which has a bed . i didn't fall asleep but i was just chill as **** ya know ? all of a sudden i felt someone lay down next to me . a few minutes later they started pushing me to check if i was awake and i realized it was my brothers friend, but i was so scared i just faked sleep. then he continued to touch me in my "area" and like half undressed me. i was really scared and didn't know how to react. he tried to penetrate me but it didnt like work because my underwear kept getting in the way. after about 10 minutes of this i actually fell asleep and woke up th next morning not knowing what happened. i feel like this was my fault because i didn't say anything. what should i do . |
Question: Do I think I was unreasonable? Posted: 13 May 2018 07:52 PM PDT I asked my friend to be the first one she texts after her interviews to let me know how they went. She rolled her eyes thinking about it, was my request unreasonable? |
Question: Why does my "friend" not like me? Posted: 13 May 2018 07:36 PM PDT I have been friends with this girl ever since 6th grade (freshman in high school now) and like we just made each other laugh and stuff. But one day I went to go sit with her and her group during lunch because i can talk to her but she seemed really like mad at me. not like angry but just not happy with me there. I didn't like her group because they are all theatre nerds and all have inside jokes I have no idea about. But anyway in class too she became friends with her own little group and every time she looked at me she just gives me this salty look. I honestly don't know why she's like that. We did a big project together and idk she has always been that friend i ranted to and so on. But now that i realize she always diminished my rants as nothing. I also have big hopes (go to ivy league, and etc) and she just acted like a "realist" and basically acted like I couldn't do it. She is not my friend anymore. I just don't know why she was like this. |
Posted: 13 May 2018 07:21 PM PDT he was always inapropiate to me but he never actually touched me like this.. and i am underage am 13 |
Question: Can being jealous of your friend offend you for months? Posted: 13 May 2018 06:45 PM PDT OK so the story goes that my ex went to a basketball game with her friend Meghan, and I know it was a long time ago it was back in March but I saw this on Facebook and I was so jealous I still am a little bit but not nearly as badly as I was but then I almost cried because I wanted to go but I was so jealous I missed an opportunity! It breaks my heart! How do you overcome jealousy? |
Question: Why are most hispanic girls so boring? Posted: 13 May 2018 06:22 PM PDT Most of them seem like they're from religious catholic families, work at fast food places and aren't the least bit intellectual at all, and you wonder why liberal racism exists |
Posted: 13 May 2018 06:04 PM PDT So my friend steve wouldn't pay for me for my lunch this past thursday and I am ticked off. I was vomiting on wednesday on the way to his college apartment for his graduation this past thursday morning. I got sick so I spent a bunch of money on medication and light food for Wednesday night. I felt better the next morning but I only had $12 left for lunch. We were supposed to meet his parents for lunch at a restaurant. I asked him if he could help cover for me and he said no I can't do that for you anymore and you still owe me $60 for the pittsburgh trip last year. Luckily his dad paid for me so I didn't have to starve. I am mad at steve for not paying for me anymore and so I talked trash behind his back. I told others that he is a selfish inconsiderate greedy little prick who voted for trump cause he wants to keep his money all to himself. Andy heard that and says he is going to tell steve. Andy called me a jerk and says that I am the jerk not steve for talking trash about steve behind his back. I have a mental illness so I can't work because of how deteriorating it is and I expect him to help me sometimes. Friends is supposed to help each other out. I paid for his darn birthday meal so he owes me. Everyone calls me a jerk when he owes me. I want to punch him in the face. Why does everyone calls me a jerk when he doesn't want to pay for me ??? |
Question: How can I stop missing my ex best friend? Posted: 13 May 2018 12:54 PM PDT So back in October, my best friend introduced me to my now boyfriend. Ever since, she has been telling me how much of a bad guy he is and that I shouldn't be with him. My boyfriend and I got into one argument a few weeks ago and she turned into a big thing. Saying I deserve better and she doesn't want me to get hurt. I understand she wants me to be safe and happy but I've told her many times that we're happy together. She started telling me stories about his other relationships to me which is not important because it was so many years ago. He also told me she stretched the story to make it sound worse than it really was. I feel like she's trying to get us to break up with each other, but she knows I'm happy. I told her how I do appreciate her concern but I don't appreciate her acting this way. She told me she's not happy with the way I reacted which I felt like I had a right to be upset. She then responded "I'm done. I've said my piece. Good luck to you." So I thought I'd let her simmer down for awhile because she gets like this with other people too. It's been 3 weeks, I texted her the other day for her birthday and she just said "Thanks." I'm not really sure if this is the end of our friendship or not but this is the longest we've went without talking. If she's not going to accept that I'm happy, I feel like I shouldn't try to be friends with her anymore. But I still miss her. I've been crying about it the past few days but I don't want to miss her anymore. What can I do? |
