Question: Why are some people never satisfied with what they have? Posted: 30 May 2018 07:28 AM PDT I have a close friend whose husband is doing a complete remodel of a room. While in the process, they ran into some snags that are taking longer time to complete and much more money. Instead of being glad, appreciative, and patient, she has now told me about another remodel she desperately wants and this is much bigger and will be more costly and probably require the expertise of a professional since it involves the structure of the home. I cannot understand the need for this nor the fact of what is involved, but she is now bringing this up on a regular basis and I am not sure how to react and try to change the subject. Over the years there has always been some type of major project that she feels needs redone although it's not an old home to begin with. I am not sure how to react without insulting her but it's obvious she wants my approval. I am wanting to know what is behind never being satisfied compared to the cost of remodeling, etc., |
Question: What is her problem? Posted: 30 May 2018 05:49 AM PDT My friend has a baby and I understand that it's a tough job being a mom. She lives with her bf and his family. So, after the last time I spoke to her in person, she claims that I'm not doing enough to be helpful in her situation and wants to cut me out of her life because I'm being fake. Mind you, I'm busy, going to school and working a couple of jobs, but has high standard because we've known each other for so long. She said I make her feel uncomfortable the last time I saw her and she gave me vague reasons for that. What's her problem? And especially since her boyfriend is not working and has their support already? |
Question: My friend does not have time to see me !! shall? Posted: 30 May 2018 04:17 AM PDT Okay I have four best friends that I've known since I was a child, we all were and still are neighbors, we all went to the same public school in our town and we all grew up together, I know everything about them and they do too ! Know I love them all equally but I'm closer to one of them more, her name is lana. She is not only my best friend but she's my sister, she stood by my side when no one else did, she brings out the best in me, I like spending time with her, she's funny, fun to be around and loyal. Now I feel like we're drifting apart, We barely see each other ( I mean outside the school). She's an orphan and she has no one and I understand that, she's trying to make ends meet, she works extra shifts at night and on the weekends to have a proper meal or to afford her insulin injections and I totally understand that too but I feel like she have to free some time to see me and spend time with me and the other girls! I know she is not avoiding me and we talk on the phone everyday !! Whenever all five of us plan to go out, she says she's busy studying, or she has a night shift at the restaurant (she cleans there), but I know she can't afford going out to the movies or to a restaurant but it's okay I can pay, and we shouldn't necessarily go out !! She can come to my place. I don't want us to be over !! I love her, she's my childhood friend and I can't imagine not talking to her or see her !! What can I do ? Any advice? |
Question: Why are people so weird? Posted: 29 May 2018 11:51 PM PDT Sometimes I dont like to be around people/friends and people Will think or look as if im a loner noone wants to be around but when others are the same way they kinda like it.! |
Question: My best friend keep trying to set me up with her boyfriend's friends ? Posted: 29 May 2018 10:39 PM PDT As you can tell from the title my best friend keeps trying to set me up with all of her boyfriends single friends. I have already told her many times that I'm not interested in that. I want to focus on my education as I am a nursing major and I'm also very busy in my own personal life but she doesn't seem to understand that and it keeps putting me in awkward situations. Besides that, none of his friends are even my type and she definitely knows that as well. Ever since my dad passed away last year I've had a lot to deal with involving my immediate family and I've been struggling to keeping myself sane. Right now I don't think that I'm capable of keeping a romantic relationship, I don't want to burden anyone with my problems and I certainly don't want to leave my mom all alone while I go out and mess around. Its hard enough as it is with my dad gone and all the responsibility being forced onto me along with my education and yet all she cares about is getting me a boyfriend! I'm suffocating here but all she wants is to go on double dates and road trips and I honestly feel like I'm dying from stress. What do I even do?? |

Question: I m 16 and my best friend just turned 25, is that weird? Posted: 29 May 2018 09:19 PM PDT I ve been friends with her for 4 years now, we met online but we found out we live pretty close by!! I m going to meet her at a convention in July for the first time! Do you think it s weird? I ve always been friends with older people, and i never think of the age gap too much. We ve been friends for so long, and I don t see why we d stop being friends. I guess my question is, how much time do you think is left for us to fall apart? |

Question: Is it ok to tell my friends I sent a nude? Posted: 29 May 2018 07:03 PM PDT Maybe like a really close one?? I kinda want to get it out to someone, but i don't. one of my friends is kind of the "annoying-immature mix with telling her mom about her day a lot" and my other close friend is moving schools but she's kinda more to trust a little bit. it was once though. is it ok if i told one of my friends??? |
Question: Why does my Arab Muslim mom put pressure on me to look good? Posted: 29 May 2018 03:56 PM PDT Like my mom use to bully about the way I look since 7th grade and she spit on me too when I was fat. She put so much effort for me to look good and also on herself. Like idk why. In 12 th grade I wore hijab she chose clothes for me so I can look pretty and got me boots and jewelry. She said in her time girls use to marry in highschool. Mom says my beauty is important, and I feel mad. I know in islam I must respect my mom but sometimes I get really mad at her. I want to enjoy life as a teen and she is forcing me on diets and I lost weight. Why she put so much Importance on the way I look? |
