I find it hard to socialize at school am that guy who doesn't really have much friends i only have few close friends and that's all. am always socaily awkard and have a hard to starting conversations and maintaining eye contact, idk if it's because am shy or something. I also have diffculties with participate in group work activites. when it comes to group activties am that kind of person who always remains aloof and distance and cold. Am not that kind of person that does things spontaneously, I've had this problem since i was a little kid my parents won't really aware if this. when i was a little kid i wasn't really interested in interacting with kids the same age as me i was more foused in thing that only got my interest like cars and trains. Am i socialy retarded or somthing?

(For context I'm in high school) I have a very good friend who I have known for about 4 years. He was a semi patient but kind of ADHD-type personality, generally fun to be around and talk to. Over the past year he has completely changed. He became an athiest (I do not believe in judging someone based on religion but the fact that he is very aggressive and very snarky/hateful towards christians isn't nice). He became, again, an aggressive vegitarian calling meat "poison" and "completely disgusting" and yelling and freaking out if some gets near him. He bleached his hair and cut it into an "emo" look. He listens to only emo/metal/sreamo stuff. He's also become very easily offended and just mean spirited and touchy. I wouldnt mind any of these traits in somebody at all but because he's barely the same person anymore concerns me.

this man makes it seem like he has no luck with the opposite sex like he used to because he does not have much money these days but I find it hard to believe because he looks like he is quite attractive. based on his looks do you think he is lying to me and really has girlfriends but does not want to admit it? thanks

I have a friend that I've known for a year now. We never had any arguments or conflicts. He has offered me and his other friends a unopened bag of chips in the past, we just weren't interested. Today he offered me a left over opened bottle of soda that he says he only poured into a cup. I was interested, and trusted him I can't think of any reason why he would do me wrong or something bad. I took it with me and when I got home I opened it and took a smell, and drank some. It tasted normal to me. But is it risky or a stupid idea to accept food/drink that was open regardless if they are your friends? Maybe I'm a little paranoid.

I get tired or good. I say the same thing. How do I expand to keep a convo going? I also read dale Carnegie's book "how to influence friends" how do I put his examples into action?

Let's say a guy pretends to be your friend in order to get close to your sister, cousin, or best friend. I have a suspicion that my "friend" is using me to get close to my female friend. I think it was his plan all along. Is this unheard of, or do other guys pull this trick?

I feel like my best friend has abandoned me. We've been best friends since childhood, but over the years we've seen each other less and less. When we do see each other it's like no space has come between us. The problem is getting to the point of seeing each other. It's like pulling teeth. Lately I'm always the one to reach out and plans are never made to see each other. I keep saying we need to hang out and tell her when I'm free. So, I'm in 8th grade. My close friends and I are always hanging out in a circle during recess., but my friend (let's call her Evelyn) Evelyn and I get bored because we want to play games or stuff like that but they never want to. So, we like to just walk off during recess. We've never thought it to be a big deal. I started crying and I ate 4 (yes, I know it's a lot) ice cream sandwiches (which is bad because I have celiac disease and can't eat wheat at all) and went to my mom. I don't know what to do. Most of the girls in the circle have known Sarah longer so they'll automatically take her side. I'm not at school today because I'm sick. But, I'm genuinely dreading going back to school. Hi there my heart is split down the middle. Over a year ago my parents moved from FL to Minnesota (their home state). Ive lived in FL all my life. (24 Years) I got into an advanced Graduate program so I stayed down here while they moved. I rented with a good friend and I have a group of 3 friends im SUPER close to and have known for 12 years. I just graduated w/ my masters and im faced with the decision of what to do next. I love my parents. They have given me so much and given up so much for me. At this point theyre like my friends and I miss them dearly. I also miss my dog and my brother. But I also COUNT on my friends so much and Im afraid of what moving away will feel like. How things will change. About being possibly isolated and without a social circle when i thrive off that. However MN would be much better salary wise and id be living for free saving up money to hopefully in a couple years buy a house w/ a nice down payment. So Pro Con to moving Pro: With family (my grandma just got diagnosed w/ cancer as well so id be close to her). With my family. With my dog. Saving money. Better job oppurtunities. New adventure. Con: No social circle. Drastic adjustments. Leaving long time friends. Possible social isolation. Probably less to do. Winter lol. Though im semi used to it cus i spent xmas there a lot. Advice or what youd personally do as insight would be great! TY

Okay , so back on my birthday November 25th 2017 me and my friend DEE fell out because I feel like she was playing me on my birthday, When we fell out I owed her$400 and I did not pay her back right away because when she played me she played me out of money on my birthday. But I have a conscience ,so lately I have been giving her $100 a month and next month it'll be paid off. Then all of a sudden there's a knock at the door and it's her friend Bob ,and she pulled me into the bedroom and told me "hey remember when you didn't pay me back well I didn't know what to do so that day I stole $285 from Bob and blamed it on you I'm so sorry could you please go along with it and just apologize to him. Because I didn't know what to do I needed to pay my rent " and blah blah blah. So me having a big heart and feeling bad that I even did what I did in the first place, I went along with it and I apologize to him as if I did take his money myself but I didn't. So this is where I'm confused. I feel like she's been paid double. And I'm going to be talking to her about this because I need to tell her how I feel but I don't know how to say it, am I in the wrong if I stop paying her? Should I tell her you stoled money blamed it on me which gives me a bad reputation and it was $285 which is a lot of money so she basically got her money using my name but then I'm still paying her back in full what I owe her? I feel like I'm being played. Please help.

She's been lying to everybody about this story to make me look worse, and her lying to my friend to basically turn against me is no exception. Savannah says she has no influence on her judgement, but me and and everybody else knows she does because we all agree she has influence over her because she had to have told her some bulls hit story like everybody else to make me look bad. Now I know girls generally stick together when there's drama and I'm sure that's playing a part in this situation. But basically I want to reconcile with Savanna by making her see the true picture because it pi sses me off she ended our friendship over a lie she was told. But how should I go about doing this? So look what happened: I did something so dumb. I told my best friend's( Grace) secret to her worst enemy. And this enemy is friends with some girls that hate my best friend and she told this secret to them. They came to her and threatened her with this secret. Grace asked me to whom I told this secret to. I was so nervous and didn't know what to do so I didn't say that I told her secret to her enemy, I said I told it to someone else. We had a fight and stuff and I apologized to her. We have been friends since 6 years and I have helped her a lot and we went through a lot together. It was right before prom, she god really, really, really sick with a high fever and all that but she went to prom anyways. While we were there she talked in everyone's face and coughed without covering her mouth, she even spit in my eye while yelling (not on purpose) Now IM really sick and feel like crap, she got everyone sick. Should she have missed prom?
