Weddings: Question: Should I choose long distant bridesmaids or ones close to me? |
Question: Should I choose long distant bridesmaids or ones close to me? Posted: 22 May 2018 08:25 PM PDT I only have my maid of honor at the moment. I am wanting more, but I am not sure what to do. I have friends from college, but we are now all spread out. And I was going through some emotional stuff a year ago, and so I moved away and stopped talking to like everyone except my best friends (who is my maid of honor). I am kind of building a new life in the town I am in now (my fiance lives here too). Now I am making some new friends in the area, and we are not close but I am wondering if it would be better to choose close distant over long distant ones, even though we have not been as close for as long. They would actually be here with me to help, but I don t want to sound like I have no other friends....although that is totally true. Judgement is not advice, it is judgment. I cut people out of my life because I had to move away from an abusive family situation. I stopped talking people because I was sexually assaulted in college, and I had to go deal with that. I was an emotional wreck, but I am much better now, and I am trying to rebuild. I am not asking for labor from my bridesmaids, but close people who would want to be involved. |
Question: Moving in with my fiancé her crazy idea? Posted: 21 May 2018 05:00 AM PDT My fiancé and I are getting married in 6 months. We both are homeowners and have decided to sell our homes and pool the money together from both homes to buy a new home. In order to be "equal" she wants to also have the two of us sell all of our furniture in both homes then again pool the money together to buy all new furniture. In my opinion doing all of this seems a bit extreme. What's everyone's thoughts? Both my house and her townhouse are already paid off neither of us currently have a mortgage. |
