I guess gay guys could answer this too but str8 guys are really my target demographic. Like if you're in a public place and another guy around your age sits nearby. If you found something interesting/different about him, would you have any qualms about checking him out discreetly? I'm a gay guy. The reason I'm asking is because I was just in a coffee shop and there was a guy at a table about 5' away on a laptop who kept looking at me. It's a small place. He looked at me when I first sat down (I notice tiny occurrences around me). I thought nothing of it because I think it's normal to check anyone out who enters your immediate area, but from the corner of my eye I could sense him looking at me every minute or two. So every now & then I'd glance in his direction (as though I were just looking around) and would see him looking at me, just checking me out. As soon as our eyes would meet he'd look away. I thought he was really handsome. He didn't LOOK gay, but I've learned to not make assumptions. But I was kinda giddy inside thinking that he might be into me, because, well he was handsome and I'm gay and want a bf. A couple friends of his showed up and they started talking. His friends looked str8, and they all acted str8, which was kinda disappointing because I was hoping he was into me lol. It made me wonder why he was looking at me. I'm not a bad looking guy (some have said handsome). I've had straight friends who knew I was gay but it didn't matter because we connected on a level that was platonic not sexual. So I thought maybe he was just curious in a guy kinda way, but idk. I always assumed that str8 guys wouldn't ever look at each other like that for fear of the other guy thinking they were gay. The cafe got crowded so I left. He was involved with his friends and didn't look at me again after they showed up. So I just wrote it off as like "ok whatever" (but was a little disappointed because in my mind's eye I pictured us meeting and making out later lol :( Was just wondering. |

I told him I didn't want to be his girlfriend last year because he can't pay his way. He doesn't want to put in the hours. And he spends his money somewhere else. He doesn't even help his son. His son doesn't live with us. From rent to food. The deal was if he came back in my life he'd had to be more responsible. He couldn't take advantage of me anymore. To be honest I am pretty awkward and that night I was somewhat drunk but I don't remember saying anything offensive to her. I think she either found me weird (which is fair) or she thought I was trying to hit on her (which I wasn't.) I feel terrible and now I'm afraid that every time I go work out it will be very uncomfortable for both of us if we're there at the same time. It is a healthy and wholesome relationship. It's great (but I digress). In my previous relationships I've "dated down"; my friends would question my choices since I was "more attractive" and could "do better". My fiancee and I are both considered very attractive, so clearly I now have a more attractive partner, my most attractive partner. This is relevant because, as the question states, my mom constantly mentions to me how attractive my fiancee is. I'm not surprised that my mother is more invested in my relationship now that I'm going to get married, but whenever I see her she feels the need to tell me how handsome or cute he is. She does this in public, as well. He is European and not in the country often enough to see my parents frequently. So this has not yet escalated to being a problem for HIM and I have avoided telling him about this so as to not make him uncomfortable. I've tried to politely tell my mom to stop doing that, but she persists. How can I effectively explain to her that this is inappropriate and creepy? |

Like I mentioned before, I m fat, and while my midsection is ok, I have rather large thighs. The problem is is that I seem to have a rather short torso, and I think that this combo causes my torso to jut out, then go back in at a sharp angle, and then go back out at the start of my thighs. This causes me to have extreme body issues, and I am too afraid to wear anything even slightly tight in fear that someone might notice my weird body shape. The problem is, she feel in love with 2 people at the same time. Me and a guy that was 7 years older than her. (Her and I are both 18). Well she keep coming back to me everytime this guy would hurt her. There were all kinds of red flags on this dude. Well she completely pushed me out of her life about a year ago because this other guy told her to. She told me that she was "more in love" with him than me. So about 9 months and we barley said a word to eachother unless we rain into eachother at a required school meeting or something. (We are both CCP and full time college students while a senior in HS). Well my parents and her parents sorta forced us to reconnect because they both know how good our friendship was. Now its been close to 3 months since we started talking again and Im starting to catch the same feelings again. I like I'm in love with her again. She keeps telling me that she really likes me back but doesn't want a relationship because she is still going to therapy because of what her ex did. (To some up what her ex did, he is on trial for stalker charges on her, sex with a minor, child pornograph, (at the time she wasnt 18) and possession and selling of drugs). We are both going to seperate colleges but they are literally 10 minutes from eachother. We will see eachother often and she is the women of my dreams even though she hurt me bad. So do I wait for a "chance" or just move on? |

He didn't exactly give me a real reason why. He said it's bevause I don't really have my "stuff together" which isn't true, I have a job and I'm going to start school soon. But my job just doesn't pay as much and I don't work as much as him. He basically just threw four years away and I haven't talked to him in weeks like nothing ever mattered to him or the past four years I never existed. He honestly has never treated me the best. He's cheated on me twice, I forgave him. He's ignored me for days after we got into a fight, he's made me feel alone and worthless. He's a huge partier and I always made sure he got home safe and he was taken care of. I loved him unconditionally and never ever gave up on him. Like I just wanted to give him love and it's like he doesn't want it. Why? It's like as soon as we broke up he was following a bunch of girls on instagram and liking their pictures and that was the one thing I have always hated that he did during our relationship. I'm just confused and don't have any answers. I just cry and cry over him while he's out partying doing god knows what. I really don't understand what I did wrong? |

There is a man that I like but it did not seem like he liked me so I told him I was going to back off of him and I invited him to just contact me if he ever wants to get together with me and/or my friends...in response He sent me a 2 page long message telling me how he is disappointed in me and he wants to know what I want from him, etc. ..so I assumed after getting this letter he was in fact, interested in me too so I confessed my feelings for him and he said he also liked me but we both agreed we would spend time together as friends first since we were unsure if the feelings were genuine...anyway, it seemed like it was heading in a good direction however, today he told me about a date he went on last night with someone from the internet, he said it did not go in a romantic direction and he felt he ruined it by being too nervous..so now I am officially confused..why is he telling me about his date if he likes me? I dont get it? I offered to back off of him, so he sends me a 2 page letter to say how he is upset with that idea so I confess that I like him and then he tells me about a date he went on!! did he do this whole thing just to get me to confess that I like him and then reject me? seems like he went out of his way just to hurt me for no good reason too? please tell me if I am in the wrong? or is he just playing games here? will choose best answer. tks |

I trust him completely, and I would not be willing to go to bed with him if I didn't. We have discussed a lot of important things regarding us having sex (birth control, he knows I'm a virgin, how our relationship could change after, etc), but the topic of disease has not been discussed. If he does have something, I would worry about it then.
