Question: Why am I so worthless? Posted: 02 May 2018 01:43 PM PDT My Dad hates me, my mom likes my sister more, my dad keeps the family up till 3 AM screaming at us, hitting my dog, punching holes in the wall. A girl at my school is mean to me everyday, and I only have 5 friends. No one likes me. I'm only 11, and somehow my life is already pointless. What do I do?
Question: When is it okay to cut parents out of your life? Posted: 02 May 2018 11:54 AM PDT My husbands parents treated their kids like the evil stepmother treated Cinderella, while fostering children, treating those kids like angels. The mom even helped her son cut himself to beg her own mom to come help with her family and beats feet sayin she's leaving the family countless times. His father actually bloodily beat up his autistic son, because his son was trying to bite him in anger. We've been married a year and they made our lives miserable still treating their son like the helpless child to which my husband would roll over to. He finally got the courage and cut them out of our lives as I silently stayed out of it, although I felt relief and proud that he made that choice. Do you think this is a justified reason to cut your parents out of your life? I love and respect my own parents so it's hard for me to grasp all this hate. Thanks so much for the help.
Posted: 02 May 2018 11:32 AM PDT I'm asking as a 35 year old woman. My family seems to need my submission and compliance to them in order to remain on good terms. They don't like any boundaries, have been unable to have discussions with me where we all talk about what we'd like and need and what's fair (it's their demands or nothing at all) and many of them have cut ties with me for bringing up the dysfunction and wanting to heal, and overall wanting to mature our relationships. I'm just wondering if this is normal?
Posted: 02 May 2018 11:28 AM PDT My dad gave me a chore to do within seconds of seeing me awake in the early morning hours when he was leaving for work. I'm 21, stop assuming I'm a kid..lol
Question: Why would a mother only post about one child? Posted: 02 May 2018 10:12 AM PDT My mother only posts about my brother . I dont understand , she doesn't even post about her grandkids or my sister ? It's just facebook I know but i feel like she isn't proud of me ?
Question: When can I know when I'll die? Posted: 02 May 2018 10:04 AM PDT
Posted: 02 May 2018 07:56 AM PDT Drugs, pedophiles, fights at school, suspension, etc. All the bad things are more common in these kids. I'd say that it varies, but the statistics are high. A lot of kids seem to start acting out even if their parents are trying their best.
Question: I feel stuck with all my family burdens? How can I change that? Posted: 02 May 2018 07:17 AM PDT I feel I'm the one everyone goes to for everything. I really want to move from this state. But I feel bad because my dad is single and getting older he's 59. I'm constantly taking care of him making sure he's eating right, cleaning and my mom she doesn't want to work so I'm worried about her, babysitting and just here. I haven't really lived or done anything that makes me happy. I'm 28. I feel all my youth have wasted seeing about everyone else. Any advice? I spoke of moving and everyone says it'll be wrong because my Dad and mom needs me. My parents didn't even like the idea and got very upset.
Posted: 02 May 2018 05:26 AM PDT My parents are very against me being pregnant. They continue negative commentary throughout, they first told me to terminate it then said adoption may be better. they tell me not to visit as I'm no longer welcome there. But knowing they have my 29 yr old brother living there with his kid with 50/50 makes me feel like a burden. I wanted this baby, I have started my career and im moved out currently of over 2 years and I'm buying with a house with my boyfriend. They're still sickened by my choices. I don't understand why they aren't happy like most parents are. Babies are amazing and that is their grandchild, I want to know a way to get their support. Facts before someone falsely accuses me of any of these: *I will not use them as a safety net *ive been with my boyfriend for 6 years *moved out for 3 but started living with my boyfriend a year later *started my career (RN) * don't depend on them for bills or money * Just want their support how do I get it
Question: Can I arrest my sister for touching or damaging my stuff? Posted: 01 May 2018 10:59 PM PDT My sister has a huge temper issues and she's a couch potato. She's 24 and I am 17 turning 18 soon. I help my mom pay rent and I even pay for the water and internet bill from mu job. My sister has never had a job and she mooches off all the food I buy, uses water like crazy (takes 3 showers a day and washes 4 loads of laundry her own clothes a day) not only that she stays up and games all the time I usually can't sleep at night cause she's so loud. My mom doesn't want to discipline her because she's scared of my sister, and she's always stealing from me. I would lock my door, but she punched a hole into my door after a heated fight so there is no need to even have a lock. (I am about to hire someone to fix my door and put a secure lock on it) Anyhow I am tired of her mooching off of my mom and me so one day I blocked her from the internet until she found a job and she punched me and threw a chair at me and my mom took her side. My mom is always saying "don't hard a fight don't start a fight." When I blocked her she turned off all the power in the house and smashed my router. I had to buy a new router. She wont even let me use the bathroom right outside my door she claims it as hers and overtime I use it she yells at me and tells me that it's hers. So I have to get up in the middle of the night to use my moms bathroom which is downstairs. Overtime I have stomach cramps its a hassle. I've had enough, if my sister breaks into my room or damages my stuff can I have her arrested?
Posted: 01 May 2018 10:42 PM PDT WORST IDEA EVER she is sleeping with any guy that says i like u and she tells all the fam me and my fiances crap like if we fight if we go out if we leave for a day or so she causes us so much **** and shes tired of ppl telling her to fix her life that shes making mine a living hell and thats my fiance sisters exact words we only been there for 2 mo we have a 1yr lease if we move we have to pay all other months till the yr. We need to leave asap cant we just tell the landlorf that were fighting and not getting along?
Question: Should i get braces when my dad is poor and will struggle to pay? Posted: 01 May 2018 10:13 PM PDT they are a little crooked on the bottom and the top has a gap. its nothing too bad but i would like straight teeth. my dad said if i want braces then i can have braces but hes gonna struggle to pay for them. i felt bad for him but he insisted its fine if i want them. idk i feel bad!!
Question: My son snuck out of the house? Posted: 01 May 2018 10:07 PM PDT Last night I got up at around 3 a.m. to get a glass of water when I heard the back door opening very slowly. I peeked around the corner to see who it was, and it was my son. He didn't see me and just walked down the stairs to his bedroom. This morning I asked him where he went and he was honest and said that he snuck out to go see his girlfriend, who lives on the other side of the neighborhood. I feel disrespected that he did that because when I was a kid that stuff wouldn't fly. In fact, the first time I snuck out was to go see my girlfriend, and my parents found out. They called me and demanded I come home. I actually got spotted by a cop while I was on my way home and he asked what I was doing out at that time. I was ready to run but I was already in trouble so there was no point. I just got in the back of his car and he drove me home. One thing I can tell you is that that was the last time I snuck out. Anyway, what should I give him as a punishment? I already took his phone away and threatened to call his girlfriends parents. Is that enough?
Posted: 01 May 2018 09:26 PM PDT In the summer of 2016, my son decided to stop all contact with me. He is 19 and will be 20 in July. I feel that my ex-wife has brainwashed him against me. What do you say? We were very tight before the summer of 2016.
Question: My sister is crazy, what do i do? Posted: 01 May 2018 08:43 PM PDT My little sister (11 years old) is crazy. she threatens me with a knife all the time. my parents think she is just messing around so they dont do anything other than ground her for a little while, but i am actually really scared of her. she has come very close to stabbing me before. should i call the police next time she threatens me???

Question: My dad bought my boyfriend a car? Posted: 01 May 2018 08:16 PM PDT My boyfriend and I have been together for 4 1/2 years. He is the most amazing and sweet person you will ever meet, he treats me right and I love him. We first met almost 6 years ago when he moved from Jamaica to America. I fell in love with his personality and accent, From the moment my parents met him, they liked him a lot. His personality is just amazing, he compliments my mom's not so good cooking and he's pretty much the son my dad wanted. My dad really wanted a son but after three girls my mom decided to stop trying and my dad was disappointed. However, since we started dating he's pretty much been the son he wanted. They watch wrestling, basketball and football together, they spend a lot of time working on my grandpa's car which they've been trying to fix before I was born. My dad is just really fond of him, sometimes next month WWE is in the area and my dad bought tickets for them and didn't invite me. In the coming weeks a couple important events are coming up for my boyfriend so my dad bought him a car. His birthday is in a month, he becomes an American citizen this Friday and he will graduate from community college in three weeks. Him and I are getting an apartment together close to NYC this June because he's transferring to NYU and I'm going to SUNY Downstate College of Medicine. So he has been saving up for a while to buy a car since we'll be away from home. So my dad bought him a 2016 Honda Civic and I'm freaked out by it. I'm glad they get along so well but him buying my boyfriend a car is kinda weird. Before saying I'm lying, my parents are well off, my dad runs a pediatric office and my mom is a tax attorney. They have not given him the car yet, they plan to on Friday, I'm glad he is getting a car but I just find it weird. Am I overreacting?
Question: My mother always asks me for money. I’m starting to resent it? Posted: 01 May 2018 08:06 PM PDT It's starting to irritate me. I already pay 3 bills each month. Now she's asking for this and that (they are around 200-300 dollars. I'm starting to resent it because it's next to impossible for me to save for things I want. I think she's also tricked my brother and I into giving her money on two occasions. She lied to us about the amount of money for our insurance. Then one time, my bro accidentally paid the phone bill and without warning, my mother took the money I gave her without telling me he already paid it. Today, she even asked me for 300 to pay the water bill. I got fed up with waiting for one year to save for a car and told her. She made it all about herself by saying that she should be the one complaining and not me. She also hates when I bring up the times when I want to move out, as if I shouldn't ever grow up (in in my mid 20s).
Question: What is a good Mother's Day gift? Posted: 01 May 2018 07:52 PM PDT I was thinking of something my mom would want for Mother's Day. She got her first tattoo last month, so maybe another. Or take her to get her nipples pierced? I know I love mine.
Question: Why is my mom such a loser? Posted: 01 May 2018 07:07 PM PDT She's had 7 kids with about 5 different men. Never stayed with any of the father's. She lost section 8. Lives in a trailer park. She's had kids taken away from her. Is bi polar, schizophrenic. Usually doesn't take the meds. Is 53 no ged. On SSI. Missing teeth doesn't brush. Never drove a car. Grocery shops at Family Dollar with food stamps. On Junk food. Takes way too much food from Church pantries. Sometimes she acts like sister Christian on Facebook. Then she's paranoid bad mood for a month wanting to argue with everyone. She never studies only had one job at McDonald's 14 years ago and cleaned a few houses. All she knows is raising the next kid and milking the welfare system.
Question: Teenage girls who can drive would you do this? Posted: 01 May 2018 06:53 PM PDT I have to leave in a few minutes to go pick up my brother at his friends house. I am in my room now in my bare feet and since it is warm out and I am not going in anyplace and only going to be gone for about 20 minutes I am just going to drive in my bare feet and not bring my shoes.
Question: How do you get over being angry at someone? Posted: 01 May 2018 04:54 PM PDT There has been a few things that have happened in a few months. My dad got "fired". He was working with his childhood friends and thought it would be a fun thing to do. However, a couple weeks into it his "friends" noticed how good of a worked my dad is. He began as a dish washer, then prep and then was an actual cook. In a little less then 2 weeks he was doing more than what they had been doing in 5 years. So because he was newer they got him fired. One of those friends happens to be my aunts husband. Who made a comment about him getting fired on Christmas Day and saying that I am like my dad. Stating he was an idiot and I am also an idiot. My aunt, her husband, my uncle, his wife, and my grandma were all present. Now 2 months later their daughter got knocked up and has no job. I have a full time job, going to school part time, just bought a car and i am an idiot! I am so mad at them for making such comments! They did not stop her. I do not wish anyone bad, but karma is good. I am still so angry with them! Their pregnant daughter comes over so my mom can make her breakfast and take her to wic, and get on Medicaid!
Question: What should I do if an extended family member is a horrible influence on my children? Posted: 01 May 2018 04:09 PM PDT This relative has a habit of insulting others in front of those same individuals. Not to mention swearing and blaming others. My youngest is 9 and is still so impressionable. The 12 and 16 year olds know it's wrong and are less likely to imitate others. I honestly think it's best to not let my kids (especially the youngest child) to be around him so much. I would disapprove if they brought home a friend like that! But this is a family member. We love him, but I'm concerned about my childrens' upbringing.
Question: What do I do if a women likes my dad? Posted: 01 May 2018 03:31 PM PDT Ok so me and my mom are both suspecting this women at church likes him. The women has a husband and 3 children. My dad is involved on church and every time Saturday comes she talks to my dad and everything, she pulls my dad so they can talk alone. My mom says hi to her but she ignores my mom. I REALLY HATE THAT WOMEN. She already has her husband. My mom cries and tries to not get jealous. She feels sad. I don't want anything bad to happen. The women always wears short and tight dresses. I think even the husband is suspecting about the women liking my dad. He is now more serious when he looks at our family. I don't like her at all and I want her to get away from my dad. Either way my dad will never like her because he only has eyes for my mom. What should I do to get that women away from my dad. Oh btw no rude answers plz :)
Question: Am I being tested financially? Posted: 01 May 2018 03:07 PM PDT I am in my mom's house for two years since she passed away. I don't make much money and take care of a mentally ill brother. I have a brother that lives 5 hours away and around the time my mom passed he said what if I help financially to keep house but doesn't pay towards anything. I have a cousin that is representative payee for my ill brother and gets $1,100 monthly. My brother with me got sepsis 8 weeks ago and is recovering but can't walk yet. My cousin still pays electric, gas and phone and cable and used to give me $600 monthly for food and other expenses. My cousin said she can't give any money since my brother isn't home. With the loss of my mom's social security money and the other $600 I don't see how they feel I will keep house. I feel I will sell house. Am I being tested financially to see what I will do with all this loss of income and if I decide to sell house should I tell them first?
Posted: 01 May 2018 02:34 PM PDT My parents got divorced over the summer. My dad wants to live in Idaho and the custody battle is coming up. I currently live in Texas with my mom. I want my dad to have custody of me but I don't want to move to Idaho. I only have 2 years of highschool left. Can the judge make him stay here? If I ask?
